Barry and Sons Plumbing helped me with all the plumbing for my bathrooms. I had all old shower/tub cabins removed and plumbing needed to be adjusted for the master bath, second bath and half bath. Lots of re-routing of piping. They also added shutoff valves and installed access panels to easily get to them. For the master they also install a shower pan as requested and a tub for the second bathroom. They checked on my vanities to make sure all plumbing lines up and communicated very well to me. Special thanks to Travis to finish the big project in just two days. Thank you Terry as well. Awesome job. Definitely recommend this company.

Excellent service and workmanship.Had a toilet and sink that needed to be re-attached after new flooring install and a mystery water pressure issue on mbr sink. Able to get appointment within few days. Arrived and diagnosed mbr issue quickly. All issues resolved to my satisfaction within two hours. Price was reasonable.Then, had a leak appear in kitchen ceiling. Again, Barry and Sons were prompt to come out and quickly diagnosed and solved a drain issue in the upstairs bathroom tub.Would recommend.

I appreciated the fact that I was able to get a courtesy call to ask to come EARLIER than the scheduled time...that never happens! However, the issue was not completely fixed and there was a tool broken in my pipes that they stated they could not retrieve which in turn broke part of my tub. I was kind of left in limbo on what really to do next. I have to go out to buy a rubber stopper to use the bath tub now. The gentleman were very polite, I just wish I had better explanation on how to fix the drain clog going forward.

My hot water heater is located in my walk in closet; so when it started to leak I knew I needed replacement ASAP. I had read good reviews of a local company, Barry and Sons, and decided to give them a shot. Amanda answered my call and set things into motion immediately. Within 10 minutes I had an accurate quote and service call scheduled for same day. Jesse and another gentleman arrived on time and went straight to work. Within two hours, the new water heater was installed and operational and old one removed. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely call on them again.

Quinn came out to my house this past week to fix a leaky waste pipe in my ceiling. I simply cannot overstate the professionalism and great pricing of this company and the good attitude their employees have. This is the third job they have done for me. Update with NEW REVIEW 8/25/2024I dont always think to leave reviews, but when I have a good experience AND can support a local business, Im going to tell everyone!I just had another perfect experience with Barry and Sons. From the quick and easy scheduling (called Thursday and they came Monday) to Quinns and Craigs professionalism and knowledge, I will not bother calling another plumbing company. And you could tell that both of the employees actually enjoyed working for Barry and Sons. That says a lot in my opinion.I need to replace our bathtub and surround and subfloor too. Guess who I am getting my estimate from? Exactly. As a single woman, Im always worried about taken advantage of but I have no worries with these guys. They went over the process, told me what they thought they could re-use to save me some money, and made sure I did not have any questions.If you have a plumbing need-big, small, personal, commercial, I encourage you to call Barry and Sons. You will not be disappointed!I cant recommend Barry and Sons plumbing enough. I will not call anyone else. Crystal was extremely responsive to my request and worked me into the schedule very quickly. Travis and his work partner were on time, professional, respectful, and surprisingly quick! I thought bought of my tiled floor would have to be demolished to repair the toilet or install a new one, but Travis was able to completely repair what I had and my floor is intact!

Though I was initially considering installing the two new faucets myself, I was glad I chose to have Michael do it, since the quality of his work far exceeded my own. I cant say enough good things about Barry and Sons. The thing about them is theyre big enough to do all the jobs, but small enough to where the owners are involved and actually care. Its how I imagine all businesses should be run, but just isnt these days ya know?To that point they scheduled me at my requested time; Jesse showed up on time, fixed my issue, and was VERY patient in answering all of my questions. I never felt rushed and they will be my first choice if I need a plumber again. 5 stars for sure!

I had the pleasure of calling Barry & Sons yesterday due to an issue with my toilet. Mike & Drew were so nice and helpful. They figured out the problem right away and showed me what the problem was. It needed a new fill valve & flapper and they had one in their truck. I know this was a small job but they made me feel like it was their most important job of the day. I would highly recommend Barry & Sons. I liked the email communication letting me know when the technicians were coming. Amanda scheduled my appointment & again, was so nice to deal with. We decided to try a family-owned business and I called around to get quotes for a new toilet install. Cannot recommend Barry & Sons enough! My wife and I just recently moved into a home built in 1925 and unfortunately discovered that there were multiple plumbing jobs that needed to be completed, the biggest ultimately being a new main sewage line replacement. The entire team at Barry & Sons was fantastic to work with from start to finish! They were very informative and responsive throughout the entire process and the multiple jobs that we had them out for! They were also very reasonably priced! From Amanda working through scheduling and communication in the office, to Jesse, Tolson, and Quinn out to assess, to the entire team working on the main line replacement, I cannot say enough good things about this company! I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a good, local, family owned plumbing company! We’ll definitely be using them again for jobs in the future!

I thought I had met all his plumbers.Michael showed up 9/16/2021 to install our bathroom and kitchen fixtures, as well as our hot water heater and water and sewer pump. It’s a new construction project.Michael kept me updated throughout the time he was here on how things were going.When he left he came to the door to give me his final update and to let me know he would be back to finish the next day.While we were talking, our elderly cat started throwing up. Michael asked if I would like him to clean it up for me. I had ankle surgery the week before and I have to use crutches to get around, so his offer was so nice. I told him thank you, I would get it. This went way above his job duties.This is why we will continue to use and recommend Barry & Sons plumbing. He has the best and nicest plumbers.

We have used Barry and Sons service two times this year and we are very pleased. We had to get a new sink earlier this year and a water heater replacement today. Travis worked on our sink install (we had some unexpected hiccups and he kept us informed of what he was doing the whole time). Travis and Terry replaced our water heater in a very timely manner—they showed up on time, worked diligently and were in and out within an hour and a half. Super respectful and professional. While we hope not to have any more plumbing issues, if we do, we know who to call!

Today wasn’t the first time I have used Barry and Son’s plumbing, back in the summer they installed the plumbing for a new bathroom, they were very knowledgeable about what they were doing and they kept me updated on everything they were doing.Today they repaired a gas pipe that was rusting, they kept me updated about when they would be here, Travis was here on time and did a great job, he even went the extra mile and looked at something in the kitchen for me. I will definitely be using Barry and Son’s Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

I was having burping noises coming from my bathtub when I flushed the toilet. A google search of the issue said there was probably a clog or back up somewhere in the system and a plumber should be called. I found Barry and Sons Plumbing after another quick Google search and saw they were local and had many many great reviews. Ill tell you what, those reviews are spot on. I called and they provided a rough estimate of the work, which was far cheaper than the bigger competition. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment, and they were there in less than 24 hours! Travis found the issue right away, which turned out to be a backup on the citys side. Best of all, Barry and Sons didnt charge anything! I will definitely be calling them in the future for any plumbing issues I have! All I can hope for now is that the city responds and fixes the problem promptly.

Barry and Sons, specifically Michael Derry, replaced a small circulation pump that keeps a small amount of hot water going through the pipes. I chose this method over an instantaneous water heater because of price and ease of installation. Using this method, it takes water in the far reaching areas of my home about 40 seconds to get hot vice two minutes. Anyway, the pump previously installed failed, so a new one was procured and installed. Mr. Derry also replaced the cold water check valve for my water heater. Appoint was made via text message. Two day response time for a non-emergent repair. I was very pleased. Will use Michael and Sons again.

I needed a plumber because my sewer line was backing in my tubs I had two other plumbing companies come out and snake it and put a water jet in it lasted for two days and that was it they were well known companies in Norfolk so I was looking for another plumber and I saw Barry and Sons and thought well since I do most of my stuff for local business and try to stay local business I called them and what a pleasure it was talking to the lady on the other end of the line put me in touch with her husband came out look at my problem gave me a price that was very reasonable move their schedule around to accommodate with my problem and fix it for me the people came out very very nice knew what they were doing fix the problem with new pipe and took pride in what they did I would recommend Berry and Sons to anyone I work for a builder and people that we do small houses for I will recommend Berry & Sons Plumbing to them 2 used I like to thank Roy and all of his associates that were involved in this very much thank you Melvin
