Additionally, Nick explained the repair in detail and ensured everything was working perfectly before leaving. The pricing was fair, and the quality of work was top-notch. I highly recommend for any plumbing needs.

Nick did an outstanding job. He went above and beyond and made sure the job was done right the first time. Understanding how A1 operations work, the folks that go out in the field are like independent contractors. Nick by far exceeded all expectations. The weather was cold and it was dark and he stayed till the job was done right. Unfortunately companies like A1 American dont always value their employees the way they should. Although the price was a little on the high side with an employee like Nick that cost can be justified. I just hope A1 understands the value of this employee and treats him the way this exceptional employee should be treated and rewarded for the outstanding job that he is bringing to this company.

I telephoned the office at 8am and a polite young lady answered the phone after 1 ring, she fit me in for a water heater leak first thing that morning. Nickolas B from A-1 American Service was my plumber and was outstanding. He unfortunately had to replace my older water heater and did it with pride in his trade. A1 American fixed my heating at a time I needed them the most. I was highly impressed with how knowledgeable their HVAC Tech, TC, is. He answered all of my questions, no matter how little they may have seemed, and demonstrated sound knowledge on what I needed to do for my home, and why. He even found parts for my old system that no one else could.A1 American installed my replacement HVAC systems neatly, and appreciably better than they were set-up before. Furthermore, it was all completed punctually once the project began. Had a new hot water heater installed three years ago by A-1 American; woke up last weekend to beeping from alarm, they put in the bottom of the pan that indicated a leak. A-1 sent a technician out within 48 hours and was able to diagnose the issue, which was a broken valve. They made the fix that day (still under warranty) and everything is back in working order.

For the past two years, whenever I have had a problem with heating, plumbing or air conditioning, I have called A1 American, and every time they have come. Just as with Brian and Nick and every other technician that has come to my 1976-year-old-house, their behavior has been professional, courteous, kind, and patient. They treated all members of my household with respect.Whenever possible, the company sends the same technicians, so they became familiar with the house, and we become comfortable having them in the house.Now, for the office staff. When I call, a real person answers the phone. If I have to leave a message because the line is busy, someone calls me back in a timely manner. That individual takes specific details of what happened, and if in the case of a leak, tells us what to do until the technician can get to us.They also taught me to add the technicians name and phone number to my address book, so my phone wont block the call.When the technician arrives, he explains the problem to us in detail and tells how much the repair will cost.After completion of the work, the office calls to ask how things went during the job, reminds me of their warranty, and encourages me to call if I have any problems in the future.The final thing I want to say is they have never failed to show up. If they promise August 17th, a technician will come on August 17th, even if that arrival is after office hours. If I am uncomfortable about an after-dark arrival, they will put me first on the list for the next day.

I had a broken Moen shower valve which was.repaired very quickly and professionally. No complaint on the work preformed. My only complaint is the $700+ cost of repair which I thought was excessive for the short time spent to do the job. This is the second time I have had them do a repair and both were done very professionally. They are good at their job but they are not inexpensive.

I called for service to a clogged HVAC drain that was causing a leak and a REAL person (Matt) politely answered the phone. I had a few hiccups with scheduling(which I was warned in advance), but they worked hard to fit me in the schedule. I got text messages from an actual person to set up my appointment and she worked around my schedule. Customer service was A+.The technicians called in advance, came on time and worked quickly. They didn’t hang around making up reasons to charge more money like other companies (M&S’s 🤫). They did recommend a needed service, but didn’t pressure me.I was super surprised at the price. I have had plumbers charge huge prices for similar work.P.S. I had issues getting reimbursement from my warranty company and Matt worked politely to help me resolve my issues while I waited on the phone. He didn’t have to help me.I can’t say enough about the customer service when calling. Matt’s phone service, text communication, punctuality of technician and the fair prices will definitely keep customers coming.

When our upstairs AC wouldnt pump cool air, I called our usual HVAC company (name not included) for service. Thought I just needed a refrigerant charge. They couldnt get to me for two weeks! I contacted A-1 American and they sent out a tech the next day. Stafford arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of the system, including climbing up into the hot attic. It turned out that the coil was rusted out and leaking coolant.Stafford did a great job of explaining what the problem was and the options for repairing or replacing the system. Based on his input, I decided that the best option was replacing the whole system. It was 28 years old and it had served me well. Stafford and his capable assistant started the next day. In two work days, they removed and installed the system. What amazed me was everything had to go though a 2-1/2 foot by 2-1/2 foot ceiling opening in a bedroom closet!Many kudos to Stafford. His professional manner, work ethic, and ability to articulate what was required for repair made what could have been an exasperating experience bearable. Kudos as well to the front office staff; very easy to work with. I recommend A-1 American without hesitation.

The technician, Jeremy was very professional and gave me multiple calls to inform me when hed arrive. Upon arrival he looked at the bathroom and got right to work. Even went the extra mile and took the toilet I bought back to Home Depot. It was broken and I didnt realize that before he got here. From start to finish the whole process took less than 3 hours even with multiple trips to the store. Im very impressed with Jeremys work performance and so happy to have a properly working toilet. I was not getting heat in my residence so I called A-1 Heating and Cooling for help. I had used this company in past for plumbing and was satisfied with them. I was greeted with a warm lady with great customer service and a tech called within 15 minutes and arrived about 15 minutes after his call. He met me with a smile and great attitude. He too was into good customer service, and within about 1 hour found the problems, removed, replaced, and repaired my furnace. HEAT blowing great. I would highly recommend this company and Jake, my tech. Call A-1 American for HVAC needs and ask for Jake to come out.

The first guy who came out was very kind and helpful, and they came the same day that I called to schedule. This week I had another less urgent issue and I contacted John directly since he gave me his number. He was responsive and came out as soon as possible and fixed everything again with no charge. I would use them again in an emergency situation or a more complicated job.

Called another service company and were told they may get to us that day, or, more likely, the following morning... Um, we couldnt flush our toilets!! Anyway, A-1 saved the day, and most likely, my marriage. The technician was unable to come out right away, but kept in constant contact, helping me trouble shoot what the issue may have been. When he did arrive, he was on the problem immediately (bad grease clog in the main drain, running the length of the house), and took care of it quickly and professionally with NO mess! I decided to replace the commode due to the extent of the damage. I purchased one from a local supply store and A-1 removed the damaged one and installed the new one. The service was fast, professional and the crew left the bathroom in great condition.

We recently had a major back up at our home. Whenever we took a shower upstairs, washed a load of clothes, washed dishes etc this would cause the water in our downstairs toilet to flood the downstairs. I called A1 American reference this issue. An appointment was immediately scheduled. The gentlemen showed up the next day and the problem was diagnosed and immediately taken care of. This is not the first time we have used their services. We’ve had our furnace replaced, Freon filled in our air conditioning system, water leaks taken care of etc. The services have always been excellent and the technicians very professional. On May 8, 2015, Bryan (Plumber) came out to our home to make necessary repairs on our lower level bathroom sink, which he handled excellently. His professionalism to the time he promised to arrive and completion of the job was above and beyond what I have ever seen from contractors. Bryan explained every step of the process, allowing me to make educated choices for required repairs. A-1 has earned my respect and trust and we welcome using the company again for future projects. I had no hot water in my master bath shower, but hot water everywhere else in the house. The technician who showed up, Michael, originally diagnosed it as a problem with the filter that controls the hot and cold water. He removed it and replaced it with a new one, no joy, still no hot water. He then started looking at the pipes behind the wall. Had to cut a hole in my wall, which he did precisely and made it simple for me to fix. Upon inspecting the pipes he noticed there was a huge calcium buildup on the hot water intake. Michael cut the assembly out, put a new piece in, along with new copper piping on all four valve entries. During this whole process what struck me was Michaels positive attitude, initiative, and workmanship. He took his time with every little piece and triple checked everything. His attention to detail, and the pride he took in his work have made me a definite future customer. And also, the price for the entire process was less than I excepted it to be, which is always nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

I would definitely recommend A-1 American. I had a leak in my kitchen, and the Master Plumber David O diagnosed the problem quick. He gave me an estimate. I set up the appointment for the following day because the leak was a non emergency. David showed up early for the appointment, and explained in detail what he was going to do to fix the problem. You can tell that Master Plumber David really takes pride in his work, and he is not going to cut any corners. David went above and beyond what is expected. I had some bushes blocking his entrance to the crawl space under the house, and he cut those for me with my permission of course. Thanks Again A-1 American, and I will definitely be using your company for any of my Plumbing & Heating needs.

Shawn was quick to answer my before hours emergency call. Even though I was a little frantic when I called, he put me to ease over the phone right away. He called when he was on his way, just as he said he would. Got here in hardly any time at all. He didnt just come in, fix and run or try to charge us for something crazy. Went over all of the options. He was extremely helpful, polite and professional.
