From the minute we got the phone call from Nate to the guys showing up to do the work we were very pleased. We were able to get our new water heater installed the next day (which turned out to be a Saturday). They were great at communicating and letting us know when theyd be there along with letting us know what was needed to get our new water heater installed. We would highly recommend this company for a new water heater!

Working with Waters Heaters now was incredible. My Water Heater went out on a Saturday morning (of course), and I called a few companies, but none answered their phones on a Saturday. John from Water Heaters now called them within 10 minutes. We discussed options, and he said he would text his supplier to see if they had a Propane Model of the heater I needed in stock. We didnt expect an answer until Monday morning. Within 30 minutes, I heard back that they had the required unit needed the unit, and that we were on for 7:30 am on Monday. There was some minor complication with the supplier, and the owner of WHN immediately stepped in and got it taken care of. I am thrilled with Water Heaters; they are true to their name.

For my project, I needed electrical work done as well, and Water Heaters Now connected me to a responsive electrician who could get the wiring done on the day of installation. Its only been a few days since the installation of my water heater, but its working fine and its a great relief having the old leaky one gone.The main reason i didnt hesitate to give Water Heaters Now five stars is because the whole process was simple, stress-free and fast. And they installed it on Saturday, which saved me some PTO.But its the people who deserve the five stars. Bruce and Aiden were respectful, knowledgeable and honest.Being an older house/heater, i anticipated potential issues beyond the heater itself, such as venting, etc., but i didnt expect, when those situations arose, the way those guys walked me through the options and helped me make informed decisions without trying to upsell.Big purchases like a water heater stress me out. Largely because you dont really know for sure if youve picked the right product/company unless something goes wrong. So, its kind of an added bonus to have it done and feel fairly certain that this was the right call.

Water Heaters Now installed a heat pump water heater for us. Nate is very knowledgable and provided extremely helpful information about the tradeoffs between different types of water heaters. Aidan and other installers did excellent work in what turned out to be a pretty complicated gas to electric conversion. They went above and beyond in terms of quality of their work, installing updated valves in different parts of the natural gas and plumbing system, and answering questions about our system. I give my highest recommendation.

Did the Angie thing and Jon called right away. Already had a couple of quotes and will say all were in a fairly close range. Some wanted pics but just said there could be extra charges to meet code, no mention to what extra costs. Jon went the extra step to look at the photos sent and let me know right away there would be a few issues that would need to be done to meet code and what those cost would be upfront. They sent Aiden out in less than an hour after first contact and finished same day. Shout out to Aiden, very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Cleaned everything up nicely and went over operation and made sure I was comfortable before he left. I would highly recommend. Great job guys!

The day before, a competitor (the one that advertises a lot on TV) was out, went through the motions on some pseudo tests and presented water heater repair proposals ranging from $3363-$3707 and water heater replacement proposals ranging from $4597-$12,128. My cost from Water Heaters Now - $185 for a 30 minute service call. Brooks is professional, courteous and competent.

Water Heater Now was quick to arrive and fix my broken water heater same day. While they were there I had them install a new water softener because my old one was broken. The new softener only worked for a few months due to a manufacturer defect.Water heaters now backed up their work. One of the owners, “Ray” came out to take a look. He determined there was a problem and the unit needed to be replaced. The next day a crew came and did a full replacement of the water softener.Each person I’ve interacted with from this company have been professional, helpful and friendly. We needed to replace a 20 year old gas water heater in a property we were renovating for sale. My discussion with Nate on two occasions about the options, prices and features of various appliances was very helpful. When he learned we were going to be selling the property, he told me about a water heater that had been installed in another home for just a few months before they switched to an electric model because of animal infestation in the chimney. He said the water heater was new, in perfect condition, but would not come with a warranty because of the “one owner” rule. He offered a $450 discount if we wanted that one, which was the model we were going to purchase anyway. Sold.Jake arrived on time to install the water heater the next day. He was courteous, meticulous about preparing the entry and exit way (laying down drop cloths over the carpeting and stairway) and explained everything he was doing clearly and completely. While working on the install he noted that the water pressure control device for the home was not set to code and explained that when the inspector came to check the install, it would have to be changed. He said he could do it at the same time as the install of the water heater, and explained the additional costs. We agreed. The removal of the old heater and install of the new one and the switch to the proper pressure device went smoothly. Jake went over the care and maintenance advice for the new heater before leaving, and left the workspace spotless.After a very bad experience with another plumbing company during this renovation project, it was a delight to work with professionals who treated us fairly and with respect. Thank you for the excellent work.

Aiden came out to our house to diagnose why our water heater’s pilot light would not stay lit. It was 12 years old. He gave us options that included new water heaters. He was very thorough in his explanations. We decided to purchase a tankless water heater. The next day Aiden came over to install it. He was helped by Bruce. Both men were very professional and friendly. Aiden explained what he was goi g to do and when the job was complete walked us through the operation and care of our new water heater. I was in need of a new hot water heater, because my old one died with water all over the basement. I looked up Angie’s list and got about 6 calls from different companies. Some wanted $80 just to come out. I think if a company wants your business there is no need to charge them even if you do not choose their company and Please, do not go into their homes and start saying THIS ARE THAT NEED TO BE UP TO CODE. We as home owners don’t know, are care at that time about codes. A BIG THANKS YOU to WATER HEATER NOW! SHOUT OUT ,THANK YOU goes to John who talked to me over the phone and had me take pictures of the damage and message them to him, and another Big THANKS YOU goes to Paul who installed my water heater. What I liked about these guys is they gave me a quote over the phone and followed through with that pricing. We exchanged photos to understand the scope of the job. They showed up when they said that they would. The technicians were good and communicative. They put in a Rheem water heater which failed in 2 weeks due to an apparent manufacturing defect. They came right out and fixed it under warranty. Other plumbing companies I called would not quote over the phone, were not available or otherwise did not seem to have good service.

Upgraded the valve system so we can turn the water off to the unit without having to shut off the main water supply. Had that wonderful surprise of waking up and finding that my basement carpet was wet near our laundry room. Hot water heater was leaking from the bottom. Got ahold of Jon at Water Heaters Now. He had a crew available within the hour and talked me through his companies process when water heaters fail. Paul and Jake arrived within the hour...on a Saturday...and replaced my old water heater for a new one in about an hours time. My five-star review carries extra weight here, because we ran into MANY challenges trying to install a tankless system in my 120+ year old home (which ultimately were insurmountable at no fault of theirs). It took four separate visits, but I never felt inconvenienced by or uncomfortable with the technicians as we worked through things together. Aidan and his coworker ran into some mishaps on day one, but were 100% accountable and worked hard to make things right. Jake was encouraging and professional in his problem-solving. Most importantly: as a single female homeowner, I am regularly made to feel stupid by men who show up for repairs of any kind — so it was REALLY meaningful that WHN treated me only with patience and respect, especially because I kept calling/texting about problems. While I’m disappointed a tankless water heater ultimately didn’t work out, I’m very happy with the quality of product I ended up with.

Decided to give a new company in the area a chance and agreed to have them complete a new water heater installation back in late June. They are based in Minnesota and had recently started an office in Columbus. They are currently a small operation here in Columbus but they mentioned they hope to expand a bit. I found them through Angies/Home Advisor after posting a job there. I had noticed a slow leak developing in my 12 year old unit and started reaching out to places. They were one of the couple businesses that responded and actually engaged with me as a customer properly through email, which I prefer.In short, It went very well.I sent many emails back and forth and their sales guy (John). He was courteous, detailed, and pretty upfront with everything. We spoke on phone once as he walked me through some of their policies and processes. Again, all pretty straightforward. I sent him photos of the area of our current heater, he took note of a few things they’d have to adjust to bring things up to code. I was most worried that there would be hidden fees, taxes, install cost, etc. There was NOT. All costs were quoted upfront as a single, final cost, it included any taxes, etc. Once the cost was settled I even double and triple confirmed the cost (again, paranoid from past experiences) and to be sure the sales guy John had me take more photos as he wanted to make extra sure they didn’t have to do a lot of extra work in my house. Ended up being minimal adjustments to bring the hook up to current standards so no extra fees. Their price was good, warranty good, so we were good to go.They were fast – we settled on a SUNDAY (yes, sales guy John and I were emailing throughout the weekend and even on a Sunday) and installer was at my house Monday morning, ready to install the heater. Installer (Nathan) arrived on time and gave me details on the process. He walked me through it all slowly, mentioned how he has to start by doing some prep work and that the heater was coming via a delivery service about 15-20 minutes later. He went right to work.Installation took about an hour and a half or so (including all prep work). At end I asked a lot of questions, as we were chatting he realized he didn’t install a rod that was part of the deal – not only did he immediately rectify and install the rod, he also added an on/off valve coming off the hot water port which we didn’t have. I was very happy as he didn’t have to do it but wanted to prove how good their service was and I was damn impressed.Of course you should do your due diligence, talk to multiple places, see what they offer. But I 100% recommend these guys. Since the install, I’ve been keeping an eye on the tank. It’s been performing well/as expected. I have noticed something weird happening on the top of the unit near the ports, I plan to reach out to them soon about it.

THIS REFERS TO WATER HEATERS NOW at 6432 Penn Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55423After careful research I wanted a home electric heat pump water heater as the most efficient and least greenhouse gas producing option.I called many plumbing and appliance companies and could not find any with expertise installing this kind of device.The installation was a retrofit into a 110 year old house with a fortress limestone basement. The salesrep on the phone was well informed. He asked many questions. I sent photographs and dimensions to ensure that the old heater could be removed and the new one installed. We discussed the exit for the exhaust duct and the need for a condensate drain. I asked for a pre-install visit to check the suitability of the site. I (and the company) should have insisted on one.An electrician installed the 240 volt circuit for the furnace room.The crew arrived on time. The exhaust duct plan was a no-go. The condensate drain was not planned. The owner, a really nice and knowledgeable guy, promptly came over and we worked out good alternatives. However that required a condensate pump with a 110 outlet in the furnace room. I handled that issue easily enough but the condensate pump was a small add on.The system works great. Two tons less of greenhouse gasses per year. Large tax credits, rebates offset a substantial part of the higher equipment cost. Utility savings will be ~$450 per year.Bottom line. This is a very good company. However, this is a different kind of appliance than a tradition water heater. Insist on an on-site pre-installation visit before committing to an installation.
