After discovering a backup at our sewer line and water on the floor on a Saturday morning, I called a few places trying to get someone out to get it fixed. Joan at Ken’s was the first one to actually answer the phone and try to schedule us. Amazingly, she was able to get George out to us in an hour. George was so friendly and knowledgeable and was able to fix things right away. Pricing was reasonable- no gouging for a weekend. Amazing to get this kind of service any day, but especially on a weekend. Thank you!

Ive had Kens out to my house for service twice. The most recent was a last minute back up in main sewer line. Ken, and the other plumbers whove worked here, have done great work. The charges were fair (not cheap but fair), with good recommendations for follow up. I highly recommend them. And you get a cool refrigerator magnet!

Wow! When Angie and Chris arrived I knew I would be taken care of. They got right to work and did a good job of explaining what they were doing. Chris was able to find my leak on the first try after doing some investigation and measuring to find the potential problem area, genius. He already suspected it was a nail that went through my water line, he was right! He was able to repair quickly so my house is back up and running again, no more dripping water.. Chris & Angie installed a new shower faucet handle and faucet head in our bathroom, replacing our original one from 1940. It was an extensive job and Chris had to drill multiple holes through the wall, access panel & original wood studs in order to create the new shower line. They got it sealed up and running like a dream! Third time theyve been to our house, great service, skilled workmanship, very professional and spot on value. Costs exceeded their original quote only because the labor was much more extensive once they opened up the wall, but only by $300. When we call Kens we always ask for Chris & Angie, having a master plumber walk into your house gives absolute peace of mind. Thank you for always exceeding our expectations, you will get our fourth call in the future!

Kens Sewer Service is the best! We had a plumbing emergency with a clogged toilet that was overflowing from running any water in our house. We initially had another plumber come out right away that thought our septic was full and couldnt do anything to fix the toilet. That wasnt the case and we still had an emergency on our hands, so after calling over a dozen plumbers I found Kens and they were able to send out a plumber that same day. Our plumber was super nice, professional, and found the issue right away and fixed it within less than an hour. We will 100% be calling Kens for any future plumbing needs- but hopefully not for a while :)

I called late on a Sunday evening because one of our bathroom sink valves inexplicably broke and was spraying water all over the bathroom. I expected them to charge an arm and a leg for an emergency visit but Ken calmly talked me through a quick fix that would hold us over until Monday morning when a technician could come during regular hours. Our tech, Corey, came over right away on Monday morning and fixed the issue. Ken saved us hundreds by talking me through a fix instead of sending someone and Corey was awesome and fixed the pipe within 30 minutes. I was blown away by how quickly they were able to respond and help. I highly recommend!!!

Had a sump pump pipe burst late last night (with water going everywhere) and Ken’s Sewer Service had a specialist out to the house within an hour. Upon inspection, the specialist ultimately determined that the pump needed to be replaced... and installed a working solution to get us thru the night and stabilized until a new pump could be installed later the next day. No one answered or even returned our calls in our emergency... but Ken’s Sewer Service did. Professional, quality work, and friendly. 5 stars.

I called Ken’s drain cleaning because it was recommended to me by our handyman. He said he’s used him for over 20 years, and they’ve always done great work. We had an issue with Water on the floor where we have our grate drain in our utility room. After spending probably about 15 to 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me through different things to try so he knew exactly how to help me, it was determined that it was water softener issue, not an issue with the drain (so he didn’t need to come out). He gave me some ideas of how to fix it, and said to call back if we needed replacement or they could help with some aspect of it that we couldn’t fix ourselves. I was really impressed that he gave me so much of his time and was not just trying to get in the door to charge a service fee. I will definitely be contacting them for any of our future needs!

Our toilet valve was leaking on one of the coldest nights of the year and we could not turn it off. We called Kens Sewer and they were very responsive in taking our call on a Sunday night and instructing us on how to turn off the main water line in a safe manner until the morning. They came first thing in the morning and replaced our valve and also made some repairs to two of our toilet tanks. The service was extremely reasonably priced. Will call Kens again!

Our sewer drain in the basement started backing up last Friday night at 10:30 PM. I called every one of the large companies (national and local) that advertise in the Twin Cities. They all claimed 24 hour service. I explained that we had an emergency and provided detail of what was happening and the best that all could do was to offer to send someone on Saturday morning at an average cost of $189 just to have someone come out. The cost did not include any service. As the backup worsened, I hit the internet again and found Kens Sewer at about 3:00am. The person that answered the phone said that they could come out right away. He then asked several detailed questions and came to the conclusion that the issue was caused by a backup of the city sewer and that neither Kens, nor their competitors, could do anything to help. He recommended that I call the city immediately. Kens was correct! I called the city and they sent a crew out and the root cause was that the city sewer in the street was clogged. If the other companies would have suggested that to begin with, it would have saved thousands of $ in damage. The person that answered the phone for Kens (I think that I woke him up) was more interested in helping than billing a service call. I am very impressed and I will absolutely contact Kens with any future issues rather than the other guys that are all talk and no show.

When he couldnt I worked with Dan to figure out what the problem was--which was due to the citys main sewage pipe. He quickly explained to me the steps I needed to take to get the issue resolved. He checked back in with me late in the evening to make sure everything was working well. I would recommend them to anyone who is having small plumbing issues or larger ones. I originally called Hiawatha Plumbing and a subcontractor from Kens Sewer Service was able to come out within a few hours of my initial call where most companies I called were scheduling the next day. They were up front about pricing when I called so I knew what I was getting myself into and could compare with other quotes.I believe the technicians name was Spencer. He was very professional throughout. He didnt mind me hovering a bit and asking questions so I could understand what was needed, the likely cause, and recommendations for future as he cleaned the main line in my basement. I also had blockage from my floor drain in my laundry room to the main line. He brought in his own plunger just in case that would be enough to avoid further work. When more work was required he was honest about pricing informing me that if I called them on another day I would be charged the original price for another job, but if he completed the work now it would be half price bc he was already there.He was timely with his work, explained the steps he was taking, and made sure he used the proper tarps to avoid spills on my carpet/furniture and cleaned up well.Pricing was good especially compared to his prior experience working with larger companies in the area.Will definitely call them again and ask for Spencer.

When calling Kens sewer, ask to speak to Dan. He is both helpful and responsive. Our tenant called us in the evening on Dec. 30th to inform us that the floor drain was backing up into the laundry room. This meant, if either unit were to use a large quantity of water, the laundry and lower unit would flood. I called Dan and he was able to arrange for a technician to come out within a 1/2 hour, though the technician, Marcus, had been on his way home after a long day. I did pay an after hours fee but it was worth it to have such a quick response and no water damage to deal with on New Years Eve. When I called Dan back in the morning to ask some questions, Dan took the time to answer all of them and offer preventative advice. Thank you Dan and Marcus for your quick response.

Fantastic experience! I called, they came in an hour, and my sewer is clean. The best part is they are LOCAL and HONEST. They gave me very fair, straight-forward pricing. They did not try to scare me or upsell me.Bonfe gouged me $530 for a snake and scope that just ended up backing up 1 month later. After the scope, the BONFE technician was very abrasive and tried to get me to spend (not kidding) $25,000 on repairs. His tactic was to scare me and get me to sign on the dotted line.Polar opposites of Kens Sewer Service. They were very professional and fair. At the end of my hydro-jetting of my sewer line, the technician showed me the video and explained the nature of my old pipes without trying to get me to do anything extreme. In fact, he didnt try to sell me on anything. He did the job right and left. Look no further than Kens!

This company is excellent.I called them when there was a plumbing problem late at night. I was told that night time work costs a fortune and there was a very simple way for me to temporarily fix the problem until a plumber could come out in the morning.The plumber came exactly in the given timeframe. He fixed the problems and thoroughly cleaned up. What had been broken now works much better than it did originally.This is the first time Ive used Kens Sewer Service and will call them again if we have more plumbing issues.

Wow. Kens was top notch end to end. I had a homeowner project mishap on a Sunday, never good. I called all around to find someone to help me ASAP. Kens was the best - communicating promptly with me back and forth to assess the problem. Even better, they dispatched a guy to come out with a couple of hours - on a weekend. None of the big guys would commit to anything before tomorrow night. Best in class and local. Highly recommend.

I called around to multiple places to try and get a plumber to come out on a Saturday to fix a leaking pipe in my basement, and these guys delivered! They were fully booked for the day, but the technician agreed to stop by after his last job of the day and stayed until 8:30 pm to fix the problem. I am so appreciative! I thought the problem was just a leaking pipe, but it turned out that we had a blocked sewer line that was adding pressure to our pipes and making the leak worse. He fixed the leak and unblocked the line. Given that it was a Saturday night after a long work day, I wouldnt have blamed him if he had just fixed the leak and called it good, but he fully diagnosed the bigger problem. I was surprised by how reasonable the prices were, too. I highly recommend these plumbers for service and value.

Finally an honest company. Had a bigger company out on Friday charged me $500 on a Friday, said they couldnt find anything the line running a 100 feet of cable. Their camera showed a blockage at 60 feet no kidding. Kens came out today on a Sunday for half that cost and was able to open the line, down side is I have a break in the line in the street, they gave me some references for excavation which is cheaper than the bigger company who was taking me to the cleaners. The tech from Kens, polite, courteous and helpful. Cleaned up after he was done unlike the other company.Thanks Kens plumbing. Your my new plumber, nice to know decent companies still exist.

My cold water shower handle was causing a continuous leak from the tub faucet and needed a new cartridge inside the handle. Harrison arrived, removed the part in less than 10 min, and left to go find the correct part at the nearby Park Supply Co. It took a while to find the part (they have 1000s) and stand in line (co-vid) for the $35 part. He got the part in within 15 minutes and cleaned up. Charged $200 for the time/labor and $50 for the part...Ill consider the extra $15 a built-in tip. I was happy, though. The first company I called (Discount Rooter) wanted $900 to rip out a wall, cut out my plumbing, remove the entire fixture and plumbing, and replace it all with an ugly fixture set in a beat-up box that was probably sitting around in their shop for a while. It certainly didnt match anything I had. I told the guy to leave, he stomped out....hed only been plumbing for 5 years, while good ol Harrison had been doing it for decades.
