I HIGHLY recommend for any of your plumbing projects. We started working with them for a medium sized project before selling our house. Josh and his apprentice tackled a job we had put off for a while…rerouting the kitchen sink drain into the main stack to eliminate constant backflow. A costly and messy job due to cutting a 10’ channel across the drywall basement ceiling. They very efficiently completed the job in about 5 hours, with great cleanup afterwards. Problem solved! We always count on this fine company for prompt, professional service at fair prices. No worries, give them a try!

It never fails! Another job from St. Matthews Plumbing completed on time and not only on budget, but this time I saved almost $100 because the plumber realized there was a less expensive way to achieve the same goal. He also took the time to make a quick repair to an outside hose bib at no charge!

We have an issue where our hot water heater doesn’t kick on for our primary shower only. Brent was great at listening to our problem, and giving us a few scenarios of what might be happening. Instead of immediately telling us we need a new hot water heater as the first plumber we contacted did, Brent gave us a cheaper less complicated option to try first and told us to call him back if it happens again.

If you have an upflush/macerating toilet call St. Matthews Plumbing. I had no idea how to deal with this type of toilet/pump after buying our house and the crew at SMP were very helpful, even honoring their warranty on their work coming out again when the toilet acted up two weeks later. They had excellent communication, texting me my appointment information and texting when on the way; and: they showed up! They also took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Very friendly and professional. Will call them back again.

I acknowledged that the technician they sent was very professional and the work appears to have been done correctly. Assuming the parts were $50 (and thats generous), I paid $1000/hr for replacing my exterior wall hydrant.

Great experience with St Matthews Plumbing! I had a slow drain that i schedules to be cleared but it turned into a completely stopped drain! I called and they managed to fit me in within a few hours to clear my drain. Its the only working tub in the house so it was an emergency. Excellent service! They ended up replacing the whole pipe system (which needed to be done for many years) but it was extremely reasonably priced. They will be my new plumbers!

We called St Matthews Plumbing to run a gas line to our upstairs fireplace. Brent arrived on time and assessed the situation. Tony, the Master Plumber, came a little bit later. Together they concluded that it was too dangerous to run the line. In order to complete the job they would have to drill through the hot water flue, potentially putting our family in harms way. Both Tony and Brent took the time to show me and explain the problem to me.Although we are disappointed we are very grateful for the great catch. We are also very grateful that they put safety first. No problems. Called just before Christmas and got an appointment within a week. Pilot light kept turning off. By the time of the appointment we couldnt keep the water heater on long enough to get hot water. The appointment was at 2pm but he called to say he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early.They came by, saw that it was Rheem 2020 and told me how Rheem had a problem with the control box during a certain year and there is a chance this model was one of them. Attempted to call someone else to confirm, but couldnt connect. They looked inside and saw white stuff around the thermocouple? and said 99% of the time when these things happens, they just need to replace that piece, but since this was only 2 years old it was a bit quick for that to be having problems. It was going to be $275 total to do that.After going out to his car to get the piece he got confirmation back from his coworker that this is a model covered by the manufacturer so for $375 theyd replace the whole piece, they just have to go pick it up and bring it back and install it. Then if I wanted to follow up with Rheem to get back the labor cost I could try.He installed the piece, it works now, no problems. There was a 3% surcharge for using a debit/credit card. Otherwise using checks/cash is no extra charge.The guy who came was cool, open to talk, let me watch him work so I could learn, told me stories about his experience with carbon monoxide and how dangerous it is. Advised me to get detectors and be very careful with it. Also gave some advice on the vent thingy that comes out of my water heater as it wasnt installed properly because the vent wasnt the right material to be right up against wood (or something like that) and there was melting next to the opening of the vent which shouldnt happen, then showed me my furnace and how it was installed correctly to compare.

After my traumatic experience attempting to get my hot water fixed by a few other plumbing companies, to no avail. I was put in contact with St. Matthews Plumbing. They came out the next business day to inspect and were back to install the new heater just days later. The tech, Josh, arrived on time and always called me when he was on his way. He spent the better part of a day installing the new heater and made sure it worked perfectly before leaving. He even came back a few days later to install a better ventilation pipe since the Water Heater company sent him the wrong piece. I called Doug and we discussed the problem and i sent him a few pics, when the installer came he had everything he needed to do the job.The installer was on time and did a great job.Theyre a good outfit.We just used them again for an extensive repair to the drain system in our kitchen. They arrived when they said they would, worked hard and completely solved our drainage problem. It was a messy job and the 2 men cleaned up the entire area after finishing. I will definitely call St MATTHEWS plumbing again if I need them. Theyre a top notch outfit.
