    Love the attention to detail and the service Allgeier Air provides! Being its locally owned we love supporting local good people! They also have a plumbing side known as Allgeier Water! Very good service with all departments! The fact they also own The Fire Place & Grill Supply is a plus so we use them for all our needs!

    I cannot recommend Allgeirer enough. My momā€™s furnace stopped working on a Friday night and it was going down to 20Ā° outside. We called Allgeier and Jay came out quicker than the timeframe we were given. He was very nice. Informed us of what was going on with the furnace and what needed to be fixed. He had to go get a new inducer motor from the warehouse and he was back so quick. Very efficient and personable. Made sure the furnace was working safe and that nothing else was wrong with it. Literally he was so nice and educated us on the part that was broken and how it works. Happy we went with them and very happy with Jay and will continue to use them for all of our needs!!

    Andy was excellent! I called Allgeier Air for a second opinion on my split system. He took the time to review the units and offer suggestions. The first company recommended I replace the entire system for $10,000. Andy recommended I wait until the proper time of year to retest the cooling (heat was working properly) then assess the options then. Iā€™ll be calling them again for heating and air needed.

    We have a geothermal system, so there arent a ton of companies who we can call for service. Allgeier has done work for us on two occasions, and both experiences were superb.From the first phone call, everyone we spoke with was super courteous and was genuinely interested in helping. I cant say enough good things about the office staff.Then, each time a tech has come to our house, they have been on time, discussed the issues and all of our options, and then provided excellent service. They also did not charge us for things they did not work on, and stayed over until the job was completely done.We would absolutely use them again if we need HVAC service.

    Jay came out today to figure out why our heat was not working properly. He spent time and attention to detail, figured out the problem, fixed it and explained everything in laymans terms.     I called Allgeier later in the evening on Wednesday with an issue with my hvac system. I got a call first thing the next morning and talked to Susan! She was great, very professional and understanding on my issues. She was able to work with my work schedule and had a technician come out later here this evening once I was finished with work.Connor S. came out and did a full and thorough evaluation of my system. Unfortunately for me he did find some issues but he walked me through all the possibilities for a repair/fix. He was very profitable from the time he came to my door to the time he left and I would highly recommend him and the company!I look forward to hearing from Mike H. tomorrow to further walk me through the options I was presented.

    Andy came out to my house to look into why my gas fireplace would no longer light. He did an excellent job, inspecting everything for safety, making sure everything was clean and explained what needed to be fixed and why things werenā€™t working the way they should. After reassembly, the fireplace looks amazing and he took special care to explain all the safety features and things to watch out for. I canā€™t thank them enough for the great service and the time spent with me! I highly recommend for all of your fireplace needs in the Louisville area!

    I called Allgeier Air because they are a preferred vendor for AprilAire whole house humidifiers. The fan on my humidifier stopped working and I was wanting to get it repaired. Unfortunately, repair wasnt an option and replacement was out of my budget. The technician, Jay was very knowledgeable with both my HVAC and AprilAire. Because it couldnt be fixed, they only charged me the $120 service charge, nothing else even though it took a while to diagnose. Jay obviously knew his stuff and I am confident there were no other options. Would definitely use them again.

    If you need your A/C fixed, I would HIGHLY recommend calling Allgeier Air & requesting Connor! He is very intelligent, very honest, very respectful and he doesnt try to sell you on things you dont need. He has truly earned our trust & respect, I will absolutely call Allgeier for all of our HVAC needs & will certainly ask for Connor!We have dealt with a lot of repair guys over the last 40+ years and I dont remember ever being as impressed with such a young man as I was with Connor!

    My geothermal unit went out more than two weeks ago. I called a well-known local company to come and address the situation. They sent out a technician who said thereā€™s nothing wrong with the unit, but there was a leak in the loop. He informed me that their company did not do those kind of repairs. I then reached out to the company who actually installed the unit, hoping they would not only be able to identify the problem, but if there was a leak in the loop, they would be able to fix that. The technician said there was no problem with the loop but the two other pieces in the unit needed to be repaired. I approve that and he replaced them, but half an hour after he left, the unit again shut down.At the suggestion of a friend, I called Allgeier. Connor was the young man that came to my home, and he arrived earlier than I expected. I explained what the other technicians had said and he got to work evaluating the situation. He was able to find the problem quickly , and he actually stayed and waited for the unit to shut down again to be sure that his assessment was correct, which it was. He took care of the problem, and when he was finished, he very carefully explained to me what made the unit shut off and what I can do to prevent that from happening anymore. He made some suggestions on some measures that I might consider taking in the future to increase the life of my geothermal unit. he was wonderful to work with Allgeier will have all my HVAC business in the future

    I recently moved to Louisville and have an older HVAC system, so it was great to have Connor do a thorough inspection of the system and clean the condenser unit. Connor filled me in on everything that was going on, the results of the inspection, and what I needed to do to help maintain it.     Our A/C went out Sunday so I called Algeier Air Monday morning. They dispatched Conner Schmitt right out and he quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostat.     Andy was awesome, and did an amazing job. He came out on the 4th of July to check my outside unit that wasnā€™t working. Recommended the parts I needed and left the decision up to me. He was pleasant and very professional! He fixed everything today and now I have cool air again. Quick and proficient. I wonā€™t use anyone else from now on.

    Although historically known for their HVAC business, Allgeier Air has recently ventured into the Plumbing business. I needed three toilets replaced, the office team was great at getting things scheduled and confirming appointment. The actual plumber and installer were very polite and detailed in getting the job done. Very quick, cleaned up and left nothing behind. Toilets work great and very satisfied with my install. Next time youā€™re in the need for a plumbing Job, reach out to Allgeier Air to get the same great experience you have become accustomed to over the years for both HVAC and now plumbing needs.

    Andy came out the next morning, quickly diagnosed the problem with my AC compressor, and had it fixed quickly.     Second year in a row I have used Allgeier Air services. They are polite, professional and timely. From what I can tell, they try to send the same tech out so they have familiarity with your home. Andy showed up, said he had looked at his notes from last time, answered all my questions, sent the notes and invoice/receipt shortly after leaving. He was patient with all of my questions, and took time for further explain when answers led to more questions.Andy was also very kind to my dog who felt like he should get to be right in the middle of everything.Their office followed up with me shortly after the service to get some additional appointments set up at my request.10/10 would highly recommend.

    Andy is the man. He saved us on the 4th of July. He suffered through not one, but two wasp stings and got our a/c up and running within an hour. It was some hero stuff. Reminiscent of Kirk Gibsons hobbled home run in the World Series. He even had wasp spray and took care of the hidden wasp nest in our condenser unit. Not to mention it was 400% humidity outside. Get this man a beer. He has my vote for mvp!

    My heater went out this morning and I was freezing when I woke up. I called and was able to get an appointment for the same day. Dustin came out within the time frame of the appointment and got right to work. He was very thorough and explained to me why the heater stopped working and was able to get it up and running.     I placed a call around 9:30am and Susan scheduled me for 2-4pm. She then called back 30 minutes later saying she could send someone now! Andy arrived within 20 minutes.     This is an updated review.After several attempts to correct cooling issues, Ronnie, the service technician, was able to resolve the problem. He persevered in solving the problem and was very professional and also apologetic for past issues.We bought a $10,000 heat pump in 2021. Techs have been out 14 different times. The owner has never contacted us one time. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy from Allgeier Air, and I would give zero stars, if I could!

    We were concerned there was a problem when we smelled gas when starting the gas fireplace after a young child had played with the on/off ignition switch. Missy sent a technician promptly and he did a thorough check and maintenance and cleaning for us. Andy did a great job. I was really pleased with his work.     Our furnace went out on one of the coldest days this year so far, we called Allgeier Air, was was pleasantly greeted, and was able to get someone out same day to check it out.Were thankful for the quick response and service from our Tech Andy.Unfort. the unit was a larger issue needing complex repairs, which to our amazement was completed the next day.Andy was willing to answer any questions we had, educate us on the costs/benefits, and provided some suggestions on how to better our efficiency/protect our investment. Not to mention we noticed our unit is now so quite we cant hear it start up, unlike before.Andy was professional, and kind.Due to the complexity of our repair, I am extremely impressed with the quality of service provided by the whole process, and the speed of their response/repair. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend will use again.

    This company is excellent! I called today, 9/1/23, to find out if they could repair my fireplace. Initially, they did not have an opening until 9/14, so I scheduled for that date. (I was hoping to get an earlier date, because I am in the process of putting my house up for sale. So, I asked if they would call me if there happened to be a cancellation). Within the hour, they called me back because someone had cancelled their appointment for 9/1. The technician, James, arrived at my house approximately 20 minutes later. He inspected my gas fireplace, cleaned it up and replaced the switch. James did a great job! He was very professional, knowledgeable, positive and friendly. The Fire Place/Allgeier Air is an excellent company. I highly recommend them.

    Jason came out to do Spring maintenance, he was professional, thorough and did a great job. Helped me with options on repairs vs replace when major problem was found, and didnt push.     We have had a closed loop geothermal system from Allgeier Air since moving into our home nearly 20 years ago. We just replaced the main unit in the basement in part to take advantage of the energy tax credit. Got a very good deal on it compared to other sellers. Their techs are very knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. Highly recommended - IMHO!

Mike Hayden was a second opinion on replacing our AC unit during the 100 degree heat in August and now helped us find the best fit for replacing our 23 year old furnace just a few months later.Mike, the technician, showed me exactly what the problem was (aside from old age) and worked diligently to make sure he wasnā€™t missing any other details or over inflating the issue.

    My furnace quit working on the coldest day of the year, Allgeier Air was out within a hour of me calling working on it!     I was very pleased at the quickness of having service on my Central Air Conditioning unit. The receptionist who took my call was very knowledgeable and courteous. She set up an appointment on the same day I called. When the technician (Daniel) came to my home I felt positive he was going to do an excellent job of repairing my unit. I was so nervous about having to replace the unit. Daniel did a phenomenal job of explaining to me what he was doing, what needed to be repaired and the reason for it. I was so pleased at the outcome. Danielā€™s kindness, knowledge of the situation and his professionalism was A Plus!!!The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. Allegeier Air also put in a new furnace in my home in 2015. At that time I also received exceptional service. I will not go to any other company but Allgeier Air.     Spring 2023 We had a new technician this year, Jason. He did a wonderful job. He was quite thorough, very professional, and friendly. He explained everything to us quite clearly, even showing us videos of the inside of our AC unit.     It was 96 degrees today, cool air went out and we were roasting, called my home insurance, gave me a time next day (not good enough) searched on maps and found Allgeier Air, very sweet people, understanding, and most importantly, responsive, after 30 minutes Mr. Andrew price came in. I cant say enough good things about Andrew, in less than 5 minutes found the problem and restored cold air, Andrew did not want to stop there wanted to do a full check and cleanup on my HVAC, and with every step he is explaining what is he doing and why, Awesome work Andrew, I couldnt be happier with your services.     Our air conditioner stopped working and Allgeier was able to come out in less than 24 hours and repair the issue.. Crystal made multiple calls trying to trouble shoot the issue but when it looked like something a technician would need to look at, she sent Dustin out right away.     Called Allgeier on a Sunday for service to a furnace not working. It was the first chilly weather of fall and I knew they would be busy. Left message with the answering service. Received a call back promptly from Angela. She mentioned that the cold weather had them booked but she was willing to try to work us in. Given our plans for the day, opted for an early Monday appointment. Angela called early Monday morning and said a tech was on the way.Drew was the tech that showed right on time. He was very professional. I explained what was happening and he took it from there. 30-40 minutes later, he had identified the loose connection in the multi-stage circuit that was causing the problem. He performed a full inspection of the gas pressure, furnace read outs, and assured it cycled several times before both he and I were satisfied.The unit was still under warranty, so there was no charge. I received a thorough description and invoice in my email before he even left the driveway.Overall excellent customer service all around.

    The entire Allgeier Air team is professional and responsive. From the front desk folks like Missy and Susan to the service technicians Dustin and Jake.Dustin was most informative when he reviewed the diagnostic notes with me. He also suggested some enhancements that I refused at present. When he left for the day, the system was functioning normally.The following day I woke to a cold house. The furnace would not come on. I immediately called the office. They said they would call me back when they knew that the first available technician would be open to troubleshooting the unit.Jake arrived about 45 minutes later and diagnosed that the furnaces circuit breaker was not seated correctly. This was rapidly resolved, and the unit is now working normally. Jake was apologetic that this issue had occurred in the first place.Everyone makes mistakes. He introduced himself right away and we chatted for a minute and he said now you tell me what kind of issues you are having and I will try my best to fix it!!! well last night and the night before my heat never turned on an it was freezing cold, NOT GOOD He was very professional and fixed it right away, then he checked everything else and right before leaving he said lets check the thermostat , he said you need a new battery in this and I never knew it took batteries!!! he said if you have some AA batteries I will be happy to put them in for you.     I have had a great experience with this company over the last several months. Our HVAC was starting to fizzle out in this winter. I contacted Allgeier to get an estimate on a new unit and they came out and gave me all of the choices, with no pressure. The office contact, Missy, was super helpful and the sales rep, David, even got our system back up and running during his visit! They sent a very knowledgeable technician (Ronnie) over to do a followup to try to figure out why things werent running consistently. We were back and running for a while but in the end, our motor was dying a slow death and rather than put money in repairs we opted to buy a new unit, which Allgeier installed yesterday. I got estimates from 3 companies and Allgeiers prices were very reasonable but I knew they would provide the best service and that won my business - they have been so responsive at every point (they even lent us space heaters to help prior to our installation!). Yesterday, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie completed the installation of our new unit and did a great job - efficient and friendly! I also spoke with two managers during the day as well and felt very taken care of. Cant say enough good things about the staff - all knowledgable and helpful - would definitely recommend this company! Many employees have been there over 10 years - that says a lot about a business!

    My geo-thermal was 12 years old and started having issues. I reached out to the company that installed it and just for the sake of comparison I reached out to Allgeier Air. Mike with Allgeier was much more detailed and informative than my previous company rep. Although the price was a bit higher, Mike did a great job of explaining the benefit of the Water Furnace Series 5. After reviewing the two options it was a no brainer. Mike was on top of the installation and literally had it installed the day after they received my new unit. It has made a drastic improvement in the climate in our home.     I work full time and am only off 2 days a week. My heat went out Sunday night. I set up an appointment Monday morning for another company between 1-4. 3 Oā€™clock rolls around and I get a call saying theyā€™re caught up and canā€™t make it today, wanting heat before my next off day I immediately called Allgeier.     I am very pleased by the services provided by Allgeier Air. When we decided to install air conditioning in our home, we contacted three companies for a free estimate. One company did not bother to show up. Another company failed to send the written estimate.Allgeier Air had the best presentation.     Our furnace was starting to have an issue with the blower. We knew our furnace and outdoor A/C unit were original to the home when we purchased it and had been bandaged a few times by previous homeowners.     Just bought this condo and 2 weeks later the a/c went out. David was the first tech out and found a faulty circuit board in the a/c unit itself. They ordered the part and Andrew installed a few days later. I was stressed over the cost of the repair but was relieved when the repair came in at a very reasonable cost. So the A/C was working great until a few days later when I adjusted the thermostat upward. The unit kicked off and never came back on. I called the office early that morning and Barbara was exceptionally helpful to squeeze me into the schedule as the second call that morning for the technician. Jeff not only quickly diagnosed the problem with the thermostat but upon further inspection he found several areas in the HVAC unit itself that had faulty wiring and/or was not wired correctly. He quickly rewired those areas then went out of his way to secure a loose panel in the unit with larger bolts, something he didnt have to do. He then went on to re-attach a broken wire and re-wire more faulty wiring in the thermostat, which had been attached to the wall with velcro. Jeff again went above and beyond to secure the thermostat to the drywall. All at no charge to me!!! I would highly recommend Allgeier Air for all HVAC diagnostics and repair. They are not only professional, prompt and efficient, but friendly and VERY reasonable cost-wise, which was one of my major concerns. And they stand behind their work! Look no further than Allgeier Air for exceptional yet reasonably priced service. A great team!

    Our HVAC unit stopped blowing air. We phoned Allgeier Air and made an appointment for the following day between 2-5pm. At 12:15pm I received a call to ask if the technician could please arrive early. Andrew and Patrick arrived at approximately 12:50pm, wearing masks (Covid-19) and booties over their shoes to protect my carpeting. Within 10 minutes of their arrival, I was shown a blown fuse from the control board. They could have simply replaced the fuse and left, and I would have been quite satisfied with their service. They continued to investigate the cause of the blown fuse and eventually found a 1.5 inch section of wiring chewed on by some critter, probably a mouse. After replacing the section of wiring, they secured it and taped it to make it more secure from another such incident. Both Andrew and Patrick were professional and personable, not a combination often seen or appreciated enough. Thank you, Allgeier Air! You bet we will be calling you first the next time we need any type of air conditioning or heating services and you would be well advised to do so, too.

    Power outage knocked out our furnace, Called up Allgeier Air and was able to send out a service technician the same day. Technician Andrew called ahead to let me know his arrival time, upon getting here I described the situation and he began to troubleshoot. He was able to isolate the issue very quickly and began to run some tests to see what systems were affected, he gave me an action plan of what he saw was wrong and going to attempt to repair. Turns I had a physical board failure which had to be replaced and a new part ordered. He was able to order the part and return the next day with it to get it replaced. It was all a very informative, professional service. I felt Andrew did everything in his power\knowledge to get my families furnace back up and running as quick as possible without compromising anyones safety . 5/5 will refer and call back again if needed.

    My AC decided to die during one of the many late summer heat waves we had. I called Allgeir and they came out the same day. The technician looked at it and determined that it was completely shot and needed to be replaced. He was able to get the sales guy over within an hour. I was presented several options and was even told the outside unit didnt need to actually be replaced. I was hesitant not to just replace the whole system since it had been nothing but problems since I bought this house 8 years ago. He checked a bit deeper and found a rebate that had just started and was also able to get a longer no interest deal. The fact that he took the time to find these options was great! Since he couldnt get an installer out for about a week, he left a window unit to get us through the 90 degree heat, this was an amazing act of customer service! Installers were great and answered all my questions . The new system is great!!! For the first time ever, the house is a comfortable temperature and I can get it as cold as I want in here. With just a half a month on the new system, the electric bill dropped over $100. I will recommend this company to everyone! From the person answering the phone, to the person that comes to the house, the customer service with Allgeir air is truly amazing!

    About 10 years ago I installed a Waterfurnace geothermal HVAC system in my home. I used another contractor in town and became unsatisfied with their service at the end of that experience. A few years later my brother built a new home and contracted Allgeier to design, plan and install his entire ductwork and geothermal system and he had, and still enjoys, an excellent relationship with Allgeier.It was 3 years ago my system started to leak at the coil due to a manufacturing defect. My system was out of factory warranty. I took that opportunity to engage Allgeier and they went above and beyond. They were able to not only replace the defective parts but contacted the manufacturer and get it cheaper due to the defect.Like I said, my HVAC system is a little over 10 years old now. I recently purchased the annual preventative maintenance check up. I called Missy and we easily set up an appointment and payment over the phone. Scheduled an appointment which was convenient for me and as I am writing this Ronnie and his apprentice Patrick are driving to their next appointment. Both gentlemen were very courteous and professional. In this strange time of COVID-19 they both practiced all CDC guidance and still made it a wonderful experience. I enjoyed seeing the knowledge and skill of a trade being taught to a young person by master craftsman. Allgeier does well in the hiring of good people and their reputation reflects upon that.With that being said Allgeier is second to none in the Louisville area and I will keep using them for all my heating/air conditioning needs.

    I called Allgeier on the recommendation of a friend. Called on a Monday morning and was told that representatives were busy but would return my call. They actually did in less than 5 minutes. First good impression. I spoke with a lady named Jessica. She was very polite and professional. She was able to make an appointment for me later the same day. Fifteen minutes after the initial call, she called again and said she could actually have a technician at my house in less than a half hour. Second good impression. Within 30 minutes I received a call from the technician who was Ronny. I told Ronny that one of their competitors had been to my house for a routine service call. That service call from the competitor resulted in over $1500 of estimated repairs. Ronny said he would check all the issues that I had been told about and he would get back to me. After another 30 minutes, Ronny called and said he could only find one issue, not the four the competitor found. Instead of $1500, his repair bill was $213. Yes, thats right almost $1300 less than Bryant (oops, I meant to say competitor). Ronny wrote a detailed report of his findings showing all systems properly working. Third and final great impression. If these two employees are indicative of the service and honesty of the entire company, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Allgeier.

Allgeier was the only company I spoke to who could get a service tech out to my house the same day, which was critical due to health issues and the hot weather. The rep was very friendly, and answered all my questions up front about service fees (which were lower than the other companies who couldnt get a tech to my house the same day). The tech showed up on time, was quick to diagnose the problem, and arranged to have a sales rep out to my house asap (our AC needs replaced).     We bought an Amana heat pump/central air unit from Allgeier in July, 2015. We have had to call them out three times for various issues but they have always responded promptly and professionally. One of the visits resulted in us being charged $300 for Freon that was lost through a design defect in the unit, but they graciously offered a refund of the charge when they realized we have a lifetime service warranty. We highly recommend them for all your heating and air conditioning needs!

    We have used Allgeier for years in servicing our geothermal unit. We feel very confident in the service we receive and comfortable with the communication within the office. We feel as if we know the employees and appreciate their help. Missy and Vickie both are so professional as are the gentlemen who enter our home.
