    Allen electric did amazing work for us. They arrived on time, gave us a quote then completed the work the same day. We had a Tesla charger installed, the price was lower than I anticipated and the tech was very thorough. We will definitely use them again.

    A vehicle crashed into a telephone pole (35th & Virginia Ave) causing my meter box to be ripped from the side of my house. The electrician from Allen was prompt (on a Sunday morning), courteous and professional. He talked me and my neighbor through the repair process while coordinating with LG&E. Outstanding service!

    We have enjoyed excellent service from Allen Electric. Aaron and Matthew are superior electricians and have resolved every electrical issue they faced at our house. They are as friendly and respectful as they are professional. But it is the excellent office staff that keeps us coming back.     I called Allen Electrical because I had multiple issues in my older home: ceiling lights not working, doorbell broken, plugs that needed attention. They were able to schedule someone withing 3 days of my calling to ask for an appointment. Jordan is a brilliant problem-solver and skilled electrician, and he and his helper were able to take care of all my electrical problems in a couple of hours! I recommend this company most highly!

    Allen Electric is our go to for all our electrical needs. Jason entered our home with those little orange booties, which I appreciated so much. He installed a new bathroom exhaust fan for us today. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasantly explained the process. He cleaned up well and even disposed of the old unit. Excellent service all around!

    I am so blown away with Allen Electrics immediate response and dedication to quality service! It was Christmas Eve and since 1 pm I had been trying to get an electrician to fix a tripped breaker problem! One of the largest electrical service providers agreed to send a tech and 3 hours later they called to cancel! 3 other companies did not return my call! At 5 pm, I found Allen Electrics number and by 6 pm Jordan arrived at my house! He quickly assessed the problem, replaced the gfi breaker and then offered to install the two new light fixtures that were the cause of my initial problem!     We had an electrical issue at our house and had no clue what caused it. We spoke with a couple of other companies and just to get them to come to our house, we had to pay which isnt bad. But when we spoke with Allen Electric, the price they gave us, we had to jump on it. They came to our house earlier than the quoted time, which is always good and fixed our issue very quickly. We will always go with Allen any time we have any electrical issue at our house!

    I could not be happier with their work.They arrived on time quickly gave me a price for the work went over exactly what they would do and began on my approval . I wish I could remember there names so I could mention them here but my wife was sick as was my grandson and they were working in a small shed outside so I only saw then at the start and finish of the job.

    From start to finish, I was provided exceptional service. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful, making the scheduling process smooth. Travis, the technician, came out twice to address separate issues. Both times, he called ahead, arrived on time, was personable, and got straight to work. On the second visit, he had an apprentice with him. Not only was Travis professional and respectful towards my wife and me, but he was also patient and polite while educating the apprentice. Both issues were quickly found and fixed. After speaking with Travis I feel 100% confident in his work.Allen Electric is definitely a business that truly cares about their customers.     Jason was quick, kind, and professional! He did a great job and even had to work around other repair people at the house. The only thing is the pretty high minimum ticket - you may pay more for a small job. But Jason was helpful and checked a few other things for us, since the job was a small one.

    This company is amazing! Friday had tree damage to electric box. i called monday morning they were out at 2pm and had everything fixed by 4pm, then they had lg&e out 2 hours later and had new cables installed, and got our power up and running,! another company wanted $6000 for repair and another week to get power to house, Allen electric charged nowhere near that and had power up same day!,, The tech that came out, Brian was a godsend, i will be buying that company some lunch soon!! They are my home electric company from now on!,, Thank you all so much for helping us out during this rough weekend..

    I just had pressure of having Brian and Sam to my home to replace all my electrical sockets (29), wall switches (5) and the recessed lighting in my kitchen (4). They arrived on time with a 25 minute heads up, were very professional and extremely careful with the moving of my furniture. They were very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. They would have been done in 3.5 hours had I not had rare 7” can lights in my kitchen. They were very patient in giving and explaining to me all replacement options, and letting me “see” said options before making a decision. They applied no pressure to choose one option over another.Did you know there are now LED ceiling lights that do not require bulb replacement? They will be a lifesaver for me, as I have tall ceilings and don’t do ladders anymore.I think Allen Electrics pricing was certainly fair and a great value for my money! Brian and Sam are a phenomenal team! I would highly recommend this company!

    Allen Electric is FANTASTIC! I have used them several times and always have gotten GREAT Service! This time we need our outside spot light looked at.     I dont usually write reviews. However, I am so pleased with the service provided by Allen electric and their technicians. Everyone was polite, from the receptionist to the technicians. I knew the cost of the services I needed before the work was begun. The young men [Matt and Garrett] that did the electrical work were very courteous, knowledgeable, respectful, and, in short, the experience was exceptional. They even explained the answer to my question in terms that I could understand. I cannot ever see myself using any other business for electrical services.

    Allen Electric responded quickly when we had an emergency. The 70+ year-old electrical lines coming into our home finally gave out. Allens crew showed up within two hours, and worked tirelessly until we were safe and back in service.Kudos to our electrician Matt, who was thorough, professional, and careful. He also took the time to explain everything they were doing, and also answered all of our questions.This experience impressed us so much, we had Allen come back to replace and upgrade our aging electrical panel. Were now set to cover all of our current electrical needs, plus expand in the future.     I have had opportunity to use Allen Electric twice. Their emergency, on call repair service was fantastic! Jordan quickly got back to me that day and was at my house in no time. My issue was resolved the same day. The customer service was so good that I called again when it was time to upgrade my 40 plus year old, out of code electrical panel. I once again received great customer service. They were very clear in all expectations and explained things in detail. I will use them for future services if needed!

The actual price reflected the work that was actually completed. Matt was respectful, explained positioning of computer line and why it was placed there. They have high standards that balance cost and safety, while staying within the state and local electrical codes.

    My experience with Allen Electrical was terrific. Jordan and his assistant (Evan, I believe) were prompt, courteous, competent, and professional. What I thought was going to be a simple circuit breaker replacement turned into a couple of hours of trouble shooting, running new wire, and re-doing all connections on that circuit. They were patient and courteous throughout and took great care not to damage my home, walls, or furnishings. All is working properly again and Im extremely pleased with the job. Highly recommend!

    Boy, are we glad we found Allen Electrical!We had been considering an outdoor electrical project for a couple of years, and based on positive reviews from a Facebook group we’re in gave them a call. They came out—on time—and gave us what we thought was a reasonable price. They had everything they needed with them, so they started the job and were finished in a couple of hours. Amazing! I figured we’d be put on a schedule two weeks out and have to sit around the house day of during some 4-6 hour “window,” but not with Allen Electrical! The work was quick, correct, and clean. Really quality work.Of course, a few days later we thought of another job we wish we had asked about, so we called them again. Same story: Came on time, they quoted us a price, we approved, and they had the part delivered and installed in about an hour. Astonishing!Now, I can’t tell you that all their jobs are done at the same time they give the estimate, but that was our experience. Twice. So let’s just say they are fast and friendly, competitively priced, and they do quality work.We would absolutely call them again.     At issue: circuit breaker issue. Issue occurred over weekend affecting a small number of interior electrical outlets, BUT one affected our refrigerator. A safe, short-term workaround used.After general Google Search for Electricians, found and called Allen Electrical at business open on a Monday. Two man crew was available same day and they notified me before arriving. They quickly isolated and resolved the issue, confirmed circuit breaker. They communicated all aspects pricing, repair as well as taking the time to review some other future jobs.Great crew! I appreciated their communication skills, patience, as well as speed of repair.

    We had a gravel truck to accidentally pulled the main electrical wires from our home, completely from our house! Broke the wire into. After we collected ourselves we called Allen electrical, that a friend recommended, and told them about our emergency and they came ASAP and fixed it, did what needed to be done and called LG&E to finish up. Will definitely be calling again if I ever need electric work done.Update: Have since had them out again to run a dedicated 15 amp run to one specific outlet for high power draw electronics. They did a high quality, fast install that Ive had zero issues with over the last 6 months. Solved my problems with my breaker tripping with the electronics, home theater, and auxiliary climate control running at the same time. Great service and pricing.

    Clayton and his co-worker did an excellent job installing our generator interlock transfer switch. They were both very informative and walked us through the process after they completed the install making sure we were knowledgeable on how to use it. Great price as well.     On 28 February 2024 at 6:10 am my power in my house went out. I thought it was from the thunderstorm and reported it to LGE. There was no power outage in my area. LGE came within 1/2 hour of me reporting this and looked at my electrical box and informed me that it had caught on fire and I would need to contact an electrician. I contacted a friend who is an electrician and he was not able to come on this date but he called around to find me someone who might be able to come. I contacted Allen Electric at around 6:30 am and the receptionist was very professional and let me know they would see what they could do. Within a half hour she called me back and said they would have someone out but was not sure of the time. By 8:17 am I received a call from the electrician Matt and he said he was 15 minutes out. Matt and Avery arrived and assessed the situation. They had to replace the entire box to include all the circuits and I had them also fix one that had my microwave and stove on the same circuit as my living room, which at times would make the circuit blow due do to to much power on one circuit. Matthew and Avery were very professional and explained everything to me to including answering any question I had. They went through and labeled all of circuits in the new box, contacted LGE and had them come back out to replace the meter(which they removed earlier that morning) Matt and Avery worked all day. They were very professional, yet very friendly. I am still over the moon happy with this company and these two electricians. This business is locally owned. I contacted the company today and spoke with the general manager to let him know how happy I was with their service and his employees. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.     UPDATE: After seeing my review online I was contacted by Allen Electric, they recognized that the ball got dropped during my situation. They also refunded the service fee for when they came out and sent a gift card. I’m updating to a 5* due to their transparency and taking ownership toward a resolution.Had Allen Electric out after my sunroom caught on fire and needed the electric turned back on. They came out really quickly, looked around, and charged me $50 for coming out. They told me, “we should be able to get to you Monday”. No follow up, no response from them after, and no information on what the process is to have power restored after a fire. Schell Electric came out, explained the process to have electric restored, looked around and did small repairs as needed, and immediately started the process to have LG&E come out to inspect. It feels like Allen Electric either just didn’t know what to do or really did not have any interest in helping me. Feels like a ripoff to have people come out and they did not even off any type of service or follow back up with me, highly recommend Schell though if you want a true professional electrician for work. Allen Electric, that’s for taking advantage of me and scamming me for $50 at the same time I’m dealing with my home being destroyed.

    The day of service the electrician always calls with estimated arrival time and arrives as expected. Travis is very professional, efficient and thorough.     These people saved us!! A storm hit Louisville late Friday, we werent home, our neighbors let us know the giant tree by the street fell onto the house next door, and our power line. LG&E cut off our power and were no help whatsoever. Just told us to hire an electrician at midnight on a Friday. We called every electrician on Google, Allen was the only one who would come out first thing on Saturday!! They were prompt, Clayton explained thoroughly how it all would work, pricing, how to file the claim through insurance, even wrote up the bill specifically for our insurance company.     Our rental house was giving us fits due to old electric wiring. We had 3 electricians work this issue, all saying its fixed! NONE fixed it and we were charged. On each occasion the issue could have cause a fire! I looked on the internet saw Allen Electric and remembered we used them for our basement years ago. I called on a Friday at 9pm, off hours. They were not only there within 30min they waived the huge charge (that I was completely aware that I may have to pay due to Friday night), and had the problem detained so that a technician could come back in normal business hours. The problem was FIXED for sure the following day, and yes it was not cheap, but if would have just called them to begin with my 3 other cheap fixes would have not mattered!     I have been using Allen Electric for years, and have always been happy with the quality of service that they provide. Most recently, I had them install a ceiling fan. The technician arrived at my home ahead of schedule, which was fine since they called ahead to make sure Id be available. He checked the existing light fixture, verifying that I had a metal (not plastic) mounting box to support the weight of the fan (something I probably wouldnt have thought to check if doing it myself) and the work was done quickly and correctly. The technician was friendly and courteous, as everyone that Allen Electric has sent to my home has been.     Problem started when the power went out to half my house. Called Allen Electric at 5:45 am on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and spoke with a real person who advised me someone would reach out to schedule. At 8 am Drew called and said he would be there in 30 min. He arrived as he said, assessed the issue and advised me it was break in line underground. He immediately called Pinpoint Utility Protection to locate the break and advised me to call LGE to get power shut off so work could be done. LGE came and advised problem was in my portion of the line and shut down the power. An hour later Drew came back after going to another job and began working. Ray Olsen, owner of Pinpoint Utility Protection, found the break in less than 10 minutes.Drew dug up the line and repaired the break quickly and completely and then put everything back neatly as it was before. LGE came back out after Drew called them to inspect and turned back on power. Cant thank Drew of Allen Electric and Ray Olsen from Pinpoint Utility Protection for getting my power restored.

    I have used Allen Electric for all my electrical needs for a number of years. I know what the work will cost before we begin. I called this morning and scheduled an appointment for next week but Nicole called back about 2 and said a service technician was finished early and could come today. Daniel arrived 20 minutes later.     I moved into my house about a year ago, and have been living with no outdoor lighting or doorbell ever since. I finally got around to calling Allen - and I couldnt be happier! I have interacted with four different employees and each one of them has been fantastic.     Clayton was our technician. Very professional, respectful and courteous! He has great communication skills ie he let me know when the power in our house was going to be off, and how long it would take to do the job. Did not leave a mess when the job was done!     The men were great. They put on booties to keep my floor clean. We talked about the problems and they went right to them and completed them. They were finished in 2 hours. The left as quietly as they came. They were wonderful. Will recommend them over and over.

    These guys are great. I contacted them via their online form and they got back to me the same day and even had time to send an electrician out the same day. I opted to wait until the following day first thing in the morning and the electrician, Tyler, was super prompt.     Chris in Louisville Ky was awesome. He re wired a fan that had been troublesome with a remote and added a switch as well as hung a light over my kitchen table. He was efficient, approachable and professional! Even my dog loved him ... he likes dogs also and that helped. Overall the service I received from Allen eclectic was great from the call center who set up my appointment, to the pre-emails and text for reminders as well as the technician Chris were all fantastic.     The only choice for any electrical work that I need done. Technician Drew R. goes over what work you want done, gives you upfront prices, works to find you the best deal, can fix anything, is on-time, & completes the job in a time efficient manner. He had technician Matt alongside him today. They installed three ceiling fans, two chandeliers, a vanity light above the kitchen sink, changed the motors on two bathroom ceiling fans, fixed the doorbell, & switched out a light switch plate. On a previous trip Drew R. installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom & installed a smoke alarm. Highly recommend Allen Electrical Services. Theyre the best.

    I had a great experience. Chris was our electrician and he was amazing. We weren’t able to completely fix my problem but my problem is complex and come with poorly updated older homes.     Friday am started with underground main line electric break. Called Allen Electric. Jason arrived well within timeframe given. He explained his trouble shooting process, possible outcomes and pricing up front. After discovering LGE was needed to be contacted, he again was very thorough with contacting appropriate people and keeping me informed. It was a long day, requiring back and forth visits between Allen and LGE but Jason, with help from Conner and Clayton got the job done! They did not leave or stop through cold, wind, drizzle and darkness. Great team!! Their effort and concern were impressive. Special shout out to Jason whose integrity is not seen in our younger generation very often . Thanks Allen, my home was warm last night.

    We recently had the power go out in a guest bathroom. After a couple of hours, I couldnt diagnose the issue. I called multiple electricians, all of whom were unable to come look at it until next week. It wouldnt have normally been a big deal, but of course, we have family coming in from out of town and will need to be able use the bathroom to accommodate the 4 people staying at our home. Since Ive used them before, I called Allen Electric and they were able to have an electrician come the next day. The technicians, Aaron and Clayton, were very respectful of my family especially considering it was nap time for the kids. They were able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly and worked with me regarding the cost. Yes, although I thought the work/time was rather expensive, I feel like the cost was justified because I needed it done quickly and they were able to accommodate.

    Daniel from Allen Electric was courteous and professional. He wore shoe protectors and a mask while inside, politely asking what I prefer he do. He provided the cost of service in advance, and did a great job fixing a non functioning outlet and installing two light fixtures. He answered all my questions knowledgeably and patiently.     The lights in our Audubon Park home started flickering a couple evenings ago creating a slight panic. We were recommended by some co-workers of Hyland Insurance to use Allen Electrical. They were able to come to our home that day. They did a quick evaluation and discovered a loose connector which was the responsibility of LGE. We called LGE and they have fixed the problem.     Chris and his team are fantastic. They quickly wrote up an estimate and recommended against some things I thought I needed (and didnt), saving me a ton of money. Furthermore, they were punctual and professional. I thought I needed to do a full rewire, but Chris assured me this was not the case. Ultimately, I added two bathroom vents, a disposer/dishwasher outlet and an outdoor ceiling fan.Chris thoroughly explained everything he did and made sure I was 100% satisfied before leaving. They arent the cheapest game in town, and they arent the most expensive, but going forward I wont consider anyone else for my electrical work. I could not be more satisfied with Chris and Allen Electrical.

    This is the second time we have used Allen Electric. The first time I got estimates from three different companies. Allen Electric Had the best estimate so we had them replace the wiring in the garage and add a switch to replace what the squirrels had chewed up. They were exactly what they had quoted and they cleaned up and were done in a timely manner. So this time I didn’t call anyone else. I wanted to have a GFI outlet added to my front porch, they said that they would send a van with all the equipment and be prepared to install the GFI on the day they came out if the estimate was approved. When they showed up I asked about a couple of other projects that I had in mind. They said that if they did installed other outlets it would be a better estimate. I liked the bundled price so I got everything done at one time, they were quick and cleaned up everything. I couldn’t be happier.

    After Our tech arrived and I explained what was going on, John the electrician tech came and found the first issue to a plug in the living room very fast. Really fast! 1 Out of the 5 plugs in the living room would trip. No matter what you plugged in.The kitchen one with the brand new fridge kept tripping. John found the problem really fast again. That one was a little more complex. He was up front with the cost and explained what work is needed to fix the issues. John kept me informed with every aspect of the call as I worked from home. So I was able to keep working while getting this fixed.I recommend Tony Allen electric as their dispatch staff is friendly and listens! I can say another company would have been a lot more expensive for less than thorough work.
