11/20/24 My PRV failed to control the water pressure. Mike came out with a new one and replaced it under his 2yr parts and labor warranty. Fast, friendly service. I highly recommend Prescher Plumbing.10-18-24 I had Prescher Plumbing back to replace a bathroom sink faucet and replace a leaking drain in another sink. As always they were on time and did a perfect job. They used the highest quality Moen faucet and drain made of brass with no plastic components.1/22/24I am always a bit worried when I hire a contractor to work on my home for the first time. You never know if you picked a good reputable contractor or not. I have wanted a have a Flo Smart Water Monitor & Shutoff for a few years but kept putting it off. My basement is finished and access to the water main is limited to a 14 inch access opening. I do have the Moen Smart Leak Detectors in several places around my home under sinks, toilets, etc. but want to have the peace of mind the auto shutoff provides since they can communicate with the shutoff and activate it if a leak is detected.I finally decided to get the Moen monitor and shutoff but wanted to get a professional installation for several reasons. I went on Moen’s website and put in my zip code, which is where I found several local plumbers that are recommended by Moen for the installation.I looked at the closest plumbers located to me. All but one had online reviews that were good and bad. Prescher Plumbing Service had all 5 star reviews that were stellar. I read them and they all looked legit. With that I decided to have them do my install. But first some Q&A was needed.When I contacted them via email Mike responded promptly, within an hour! This was on a Saturday. His company utilizes text, email, and phone calls to communicate. I like to use email since it gives both parties a paper trail so there are no he said she said issues. I am very particular when it comes to someone doing work in my home so I expressed my concerns, reviewed the process they use and had a very good back and forth communication that answered all of my questions. Mike knew exactly what I was looking for. We set a date for the install which was just a couple of days away from the day I said ok let’s do it.Mike and Jacob arrived on schedule and utilized a text/app that actually allowed me to track his location from when he left his office to driving up my driveway. Mike and Jacob used covers over their shoes and placed covering over the floor to protect the carpet. They stuffed towels in the area behind the wall to prevent water from getting on the sheetrock and insulation. A new 14 inch opening was installed so I could easily access the new additions easily. They installed a new a very high quality pressure relief valve, the Moen shutoff and 2 new ball valve shutoffs. The pipes were then insulated. Mike reviewed the Moen app and helped me set everything up. The experience was excellent.Mike and Jacob are very honest and professional; they are the best anyone can ask for.I highly recommend Prescher Plumbing Service.

We used Prescher to install a new water heater. They did a great job and gave me confidence in the quality of supplies used (they source from a plumbing supply store and not a big box store). I was pretty happy they could give me a basic estimate over the phone without needing to charge me $90 to have someone come out to tell me the cost of something. Then upon arrival, I added on services and the prices were reasonable. Overall, happy with the experience and would use again.

I have used Prescher Plumbing twice. I receive texts telling me when they are on the way and where they are at the time. They send a picture of Michael, the owner, and the model and year of his truck. He and his helper, Jake, are very friendly and professional. They explain what they are doing and why, and always clean up when they are finished. I have been very pleased with their work and with the quality of the parts they use.

11-12-24 After my neighbor had to replace their water main line, I figured I would check my water meter. Sure enough, the small red triangular pointer was spinning slowly and no water was being used in the house. I even turned off the water at the shutoff valve in my basement. Within a couple of days of calling, Prescher Plumbing replaced my water main from the meter into my home, one straight shot no splices. They used one-inch PEX A. The new water line was bored under the lawn, avoiding our irrigation lines. No trenching so our lawn was not dug up, just 2 small holes hand dug. One at the meter and one at the side of the house where the water line enters. The sod around the meter vault was carefully dug up and when finished put back in place. The dirt from the hole was put on a plastic sheet. My basement is finished so they covered the carpeted areas with a high-quality protective sheet called ShuBee BeeArmor. They wore booties on their shoes also. Mike cleaned up after they were done and you would never know they were here. They also gave me a lifetime warranty for parts and labor. Who could ask for more? Trustworthy, knowledgeable, very honest, they inspire confidence so you can rest assured the job was done correctly. They even did the right thing and got a permit from the County.

Due to our previous work Mike provided a great deal of insight and recommendations (options to provide water filter). Today was the install date and we can already taste the difference in the water.My biggest concern was loss of water pressure due to placing a filter in before the navien units. We worked together to identify the right unit (number of bathrooms, washers, sinks to include the number of fixtures in showers). We put some thought into it. Everything is perfect with great pressure. The install is clean and organized to include adding appropriate connection for the by-weekly self cleaning of the system.If your considering Prescher Plumbing I can say with 100% confidence, stop considering and let Mike and his team talk you through the options and move forward. Our water heater was really old and we knew it would need to be replaced sooner or later. We knew we wanted to switch from a gas powered tank, to an electric tankless style heater. We had received quotes from another place just thinking ahead.Well we woke up last week and it had sprung a leak. We decided to check out some other options and called Prescher plumbing. They were fast in their response, and when they came to our house the were very professional. They showed up on time (dont you hate when places give you a time window and then are still hours late? Didnt happen with this company, both time they came to our house they arrived promptly within a 30 minute window). Mike went over all sorts of options with us and gave us several quotes depending on which direction we might want to go. He explained thoroughly to us all our choices and the differences between them.Luckily the leak wasnt so bad that it gave us time to sleep on it. We did some research and asked him if he could get us a specifically model that no local stores had in stock. He was able to get it over night from his supplier for us. He also gave us info for the electrician that we ended up using and was a great recommendation.Mike kept in constant contact with us and updated us along the way. The unit came in and he promptly came first thing the next morning and installed it for us. His price was much more reasonable than the others we had, but the service surpassed other companies we had used in the past for other jobs. They got our new heater installed quickly, and he showed us how to use it, what to expect, went over his warranty and then even followed up the next day to make sure we were using it without any issues.We had a great experience and this is going to be our new go-to plumber. I highly recommend this company.

I cannot recommend Mike Prescher of Prescher Plumbing enough. Mike was incredibly responsive, timely, communicative, and knowledgeable. We had a shower leak that another plumber missed and Mike diagnosed the issue right away. He also took the time to explain the issue and how he would resolve it (ordering a replacement part). He installed the new part, showed me his work, and the shower is good as new. I will use him for all of my future plumbing needs and would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a plumber.

We used Prescher Plumbing to bore new gas lines for lanterns on our front gate. This was a large project requiring underground boring and ~60’ of conduit. Mike Prescher personally oversaw the entire project and ensured everything went perfectly. Despite the need for underground boring, our yard is immaculate and you would never know this had been done. Adam came by to give the original estimate to replace the main piping from the outdoor shutoff valve to the house. He was professional, knowledgable, and thorough. I got three estimates and Prescher was competitive, but not the cheapest. The difference is they bore a hole under your grass so as to minimize the disturbance to your landscaping - we would have easily paid much more in landscaping costs to restore the yard to its previous condition had we gone with another company which would have dug a trench from the shutoff to the house. Not to mention dealing with the eyesore while everything filled back in and looked nice again. When I arrived to inspect the work, I honestly could hardly tell they had just completely replaced the main line to the house. Where they had to dig, they carefully removed the sod, then put back in place when finished - I was very surprised to see how little visible disturbance there was to our landscaping! The indoor work looked fantastic as well and all of it coming with a lifetime warranty. Consistent with the rapport of the estimate, everything was explained to me clearly and thoroughly. Having not had this kind of work done before, this was invaluable. Not to mention the immediate sense that this is a company you can trust and completely stands by the quality of their work. I cant recommend Prescher more for all of your plumbing needs. Thanks a lot for doing such a great job!

I had called many place and was referred to this service and, WOW, what great service from the get go. I called at 2:30 in the afternoon because I had a broken water tank and they called back within 5 minutes put me on the books and stated they would be at my house between 3-5. They arrived around 5 and they were extremely friendly and when I showed them the water tank it was indeed that and a pressure gauge. They went and got the parts came back and installed everything and were done by about 7. The kicker for them was that they came to my house in Atlanta and they drove all the way from Winder on short notice. it was awesome!!! Everything is running great and I would call them again in a heartbeat. THANKS
