Matt was very good about getting to our house to see what we needed. Then he was on top of it with estimates and getting a plan set in motion. Once materials were delivered, his crew showed up and worked non stop. They replaced our roofs on garage breezeway and house. They removed everything and replaced sheeting. This was a major undertaking. When finished the cleanup was amazing. It was like no one was ever there except seeing the fantastic job of the roofs.Looking forward to our next project with Matt and his crewThank you.Matt’s crew just finished another project for us. The removed all sheeting and trusses from our barn. Rebuild and raised the ceiling 2 feet. We were amazed at there quality work and cleanliness of the surrounding area. Within threes days they tore apart and had new trusses and sheeting with paper covering it. Next day it was shingled. Then the the siding, fascia and soffit was finished. New gutters with covers. Everything was done to match our house and looks fantastic.Thayer’s came back and replaced our kitchen window. Excellent work. Great quality and the workers explained everything. Finished off inside and outside.We we very happy with the workers and craftsmanship.

Wow! Thayers was amazing! I had 2 projects I needed done and Thayers did an excellent job on both. One was a standard refresh of my trim on my exterior. The wood was peeling and rotting in some places. Looks like new now! Second job turned out to be a much bigger undertaking than I originally thought. Thayers did an excellent job identifying that up front so I was prepared for the larger cost and even when they got into it, I was sure they would tell me I would need to spend more it was such a mess. But they got it done within their original quote. After my initial down payment, I was never billed again until the work was 100% complete. The crew checked in with me constantly to keep me apprised sending pictures when appropriate. Thayers was recommended to me, and I absolutely agree it was the right choice! Thank you Thayers!

I would give a 4.5, but am rounding up!I was in a position where I had to pay for a roof with my own dollars - no help from insurance. Out of 6 bids collected, Thayers was very competitive. I went with them on a recommendation from a colleague, along with the fact that they were local.In terms of speed and post job clean up I dont think things could have gone any better. The reason for the 4.5 instead of 5/5 is because there were 2 items that required follow up. These were both items that were not 100% within Thayers control, and they were followed up within 1 week with no hassle, no extra cost, and prompt communication.My overall experience was as nice as I had hoped for, and I will be recommending this business to others. I will also have them bid on future work I would like to contract out on my home as well.

Communication with the project manager was efficient and effective, which resulted in timely completion of the project.

I’ve known this company for a while. I’ve seen a lot of there work over the years, exterior and interior work. That’s why I had them do my roof. They were on time, did excellent work, and did everything I asked them to do. The final price was close to the estimate that they quoted me a year an half prior, which I was very surprised because I thought for sure that the price would increase over time like everything else does. I have recommended them to family and friends, they have done same quality work. So all of that being said, as long as they are in business, I will keep using them in the future for my projects and I will absolutely keep recommending them!!!

Thayers has done both interior and exterior work and all of it has been done correctly the first time. Ive had siding replaced, a window and patio door replaced, decking, and kitchen cabinetry work. They are not the cheapest, but when its done correctly the first time and done well, its worth it. Several years ago, Thayer’s Exteriors reroofed a shed for us. The result was excellent which did not surprise me, since I had been acquainted with Jason Thayer for some time and felt confident that his company would perform well. More recently, I engaged them to replace the roof on our house. Coincidentally, a tree limb fell on one corner of our house the day before they were scheduled replace the roof. When they arrived, I showed Jason the bent up gutter and loose fascia and asked if the gutter could be repaired and the fascia replaced. He said he would take care of it. I also showed him a small section of damaged fascia on the opposite corner of the house which he said he would replace also. The following day, a workman from Thayer’s appeared and expertly carried out the needed repairs, the roofing project having been completed the previous day. I was especially grateful that both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the gutter could be restored avoiding the need to replace the entire gutter or create a seam. This work was not part of the roofing contract, however there was no added charge. We were, of course, pleased with this generosity, and also very pleased with the new roof itself.

We built our house about 12 years ago. We were limited on siding choices. It was the middle of winter, and the turnaround time to get anything else was backed up. We picked something but my wife didnt really like it. I told her we could change it in 10 years if we wanted to. Well, 12 years came around, and the siding was just looking awful. It was faded, warped, and falling off in places. We thought about painting the siding. So our first thought was that it might be the direction we go. We knew who we wanted to go with right away. Thayers. Ive known the family for years, know the quality of people they are, and know the quality of work they do. Josh came out and gave us the bad news. It would not be a good idea to paint the siding. Gave us 3 options for siding. We decided on a composite siding with the color of blue spruce. It was the more expensive material but well worth it. Josh talked with us about the process when the siding came in and scheduled the start installation. We also decided to put gutter covers on the back of the house. Jon took over after that in the installation processes. Their crew was on time, worked hard at getting the project done, staying late a few nights, and was a nice group of people. They ran into a few hiccups of our GFI blowing, but I was able to fix it when i got home from work. They were done within a week. The only small issue I had was I felt clean-up could have been done a little better. We have found a lot of nails in the backyard. Ive walked the back of the house 3 to 4 times to still find nails. The siding does look amazing. I would highly recommend Thayers.

Thayer’s Painting was great to work with. They were very professional. They sent four men to take off the wallpaper in our living room, spackle the cracks, prime and paint our walls. It was all completed in less than eight hours! It took my last painter two days to do the same amount of work in the dining room. However, there was only one of him. He must have felt he underbid on the job, because once he completed the dining room, we could not get him to come back and do the living room. Hence, we hired Thayer’s. Thayer’s did ask for more money to do the work, but they showed up on time, and did a great job. They provided us with a proper estimate, and they completed the job much faster than I expected. I think they maybe did a better job covering the cracks than the last person did, too. All in all, I would highly recommend Thayer’s.

I elected to use Thayer’s as they have been in business for a long time. It took a few months to get us on their schedule, indicative that they take on a lot of work. Once they got to us in the queue, the work was done efficiently and thoroughly. My only complaint was how long it took to get us scheduled. The employees are polite and friendly and they always reach out in advance before they arrive at the door.

From the moment Josh came to estimate our project, the whole team was engaged. They ended up starting the project 2 weeks prior to what they had estimated, which helped me out. The project team (Benji and others) was on time every day, and took care to protect furniture, floors and electronics. They were so fast, I was glad I had cleared out some rooms in advance! I recommend Thayers for interior painting, and I’m sure we will use some of their other services in the future.

The office personnel and Josh were very professional. The painting is mostly well done. We did have a few problems, such as the outdoor faucet being broken during the power washing. That was quickly repaired, but I wish the crew had not left it for me to discover. Also the floor of the screened porch has a place when paint was spilled leaving a glob and some small leaves were painted over rather than being removed. Small things, but perhaps not up to your standards. I would recommend you to anyone who asked for a referral.

We had Thayers do a very quick job to repair some blown off siding and soffit before we sold our home. After the buyers inspection 6 weeks later, they had a nit picky request to “tighten up” some loose soffit underneath the exterior window of our upstairs. Thayers did the initial repair, so I gave them a call to see if they wouldn’t mind coming back out to put a nail in and tighten it (this was a section of the house they didn’t previously fix).The owner of the business did so, free of charge, as a courtesy. Can’t ask for much better customer service than that- we really appreciated it. If you want a quality job and good service for exterior repair, go to Thayer’s.

The outside crew arrived promptly as scheduled and repaired the flashings and shingles around two large skylights to fix the leak problem without disturbing us inside the house. Then Seth arrived at our convenience when everything was dry, moved and covered our furniture as needed and proceeded to repair and texture the drywall. He painted the ceiling and wall matching it perfectly leaving no visible evidence of the repair. He volunteered to return the next morning to recheck everything after letting it dry overnight to make sure the match was right! This is the fourth project Thayers has completed for us and I will not hesitate to call them again if the need arises!
