Had an emergency call out in on a Sunday morning. They were here in less than an hour …….. took care of the problem very professionally. Did a little extra work to ensure nothing happened again. The service tech on call (Joe) did a fantastic job. He is an asset to the company…… we have had him for other things such as installing a new furnace and AC. He really knows his sh*t and always goes the extra mile to make sure things are done right. I highly recommend Northern Comfort for any HVAC problem or maintenance issue you may have.

I have been on their maintenance plan for years now and am always impressed with the attention to detail and no “hard sell” I have had with others. You get an appointment card in the mail and I usually call to reschedule to a more convenient time which is never a problem. You get a reminder call the day before and then a call when the guy is on the way. Appointment is smooth and informative. Great job.

As a Northern Comfort Maintenance Plan Customer, I wasnt scrambling when my AC unit stopped cooling in the middle of the summer. With a quick phone call, I was able to get scheduled and request my favorite technician who has been servicing my current home, as well as my previous home. Joe had my AC back up and running in no time, and the savings from the maintenance plan, made the payment for service and repairs reasonable. I have had my a/c, water softener, hvac, and most recently (2024) my heating unit replaced. They continue to provide the best service in the Indianapolis area. I use the prepaid maintenance program, which is a few dollars cheaper than paying each time I have them come out. It’s an excellent value.The technician is professional and very considerate, and takes time to listen to any concerns.Additionally, the technician provides suggestions on ways to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on the HVAC unit, as well as taking the time to clean the compressor housing and floor. It always looks like new when he’s finished.Highly recommend Northern Comfort Systems.

Dustin is the technician that came to both of our properties today to service three units. Dustin was also the one who installed our new furnace and AC in the lower level of our main house a couple of months ago. Dustin is always a pleasure to work with, he is courteous, timely, and always has answers to all of my questions about the HVAC. Dustin has always been careful and mindful of the property and always shoots straight with me about price and timing. I will not use any other provider for HVAC other than Northern comfort systems. We have used them for all of our properties for years and we are extremely pleased with their service , their knowledge, and the overall value.

I can’t say enough good about Northern Comfort. There had been 4 companies in my home to service my furnace and not one of them found my cracked heat exchanger and carbon monoxide leak. Joe checked it and found it quickly. I needed a new furnace, Zach and Adam had it installed that same week. They were all very knowledgeable, professional and kind. We recently had them out for winter tune up & inspection. Tech showed up right on time! The first the tech wanted to let me know is that the price I was quoted was incorrect (the price going to be less than I was quoted over the phone due to a miscommunication error). He then went on & explained everything that he was going to check out. When complete with inspection & service, he let me know that our equipment was working as it was designed to operate at this time but, the system is 17 years old. Not one did he try to up sale me in a new system. This was our 2nd or 3rd time using Northern Comfort for our HVAC service needs. We ended up signing up for their annual service plan as well.

Dustin was out today for our furnace check-up. He was professional, polite, respective of our house, answered my questions, and overall provided great service. We have used Northern since 2010 when they installed our HVAC system. I would encourage you to always do research when needing a repair and negotiate. Northern does tend to be on the higher end of a repair cost, but I have found them to be reasonable when pushing back on original estimates.2023 update. Ask for Zach V. He is personable and I trust him to do a thorough checkup on our hvac.

We contacted Northern to get a second opinion after another HVAC company told us we were facing a $3000+ bill to fix our AC. I called in the morning and Tom, the technician, was here later the same day. He was much more thorough and discovered an issue from an unusual modification made by the previous home owner that was completely overlooked by the other company. The fix ended up being much simpler, cheaper, and quicker.

My family’s allergies have been better and the air just seems cleaner. My son was getting nose bleeds from the dry air and he did not have a single one after getting the humidifier was installed. Michael serviced my furnace on 12/9/19. Michael is always detailed in his service that he provides. He explains everything before hand and then after everything is done he explains what was or was not found. I like that he enjoys his work. Michael goes the extra step when he does not have to. He even labeled all my Valves for the main water, water heater and gas so that in an emergency situation when I might not be thinking straight, I can find the correct valve quickly. It is nice to know that your services are quality and dependable. Keep up the good work!

Communication was great everyone was very professional and I like the fact they didnt try to oversell or push anything on us. It was like working with a knowledgeable family friend.The only negative things I can think of was not knowing when they were coming they just give you a day and tell you they will give you a 45 min pre warning before they head in that direction. Being 30min away from anything I couldnt really plan anything. The other negative thing would be before they could inspect our systems they had to try and fix it. At the time they said the unit was over heating because of a dirty filter. That cost us $113 which I feel in hindsight it was a waste of time and money.The second date was to do the actual testing on both our hvac systems. They only had us pay for one inspection since the other one immediately failed the first test. There was no long wait once they realized our heating and a/c unit needed to be replaced they had someone price everything out with us the next day. They knew the weather was going to start getting cold so they saw the situation as an urgent matter.They told us they were not the highest price but they were not the lowest. We wouldnt have to worry about the company going out of business and losing our warranties because they were larger and have been around for a long time. They said the lower price companies are ones that dont usually last long and with hvac work you dont need schooling to work on them so its important who you go with. They were knowledgeable and helped us choose the right unit for us. Putting a new hvac and a/c was not cheap by any means it was about 11k however they have affordable monthly financing for a little over $100 a month so it wont completely wreck your lifestyle. They respect military veterans and gave us a certain percent off which I appreciate.After that they knew the weather was going to get cold so after everything was priced out and approved they had a group of guys come out the next day and they didnt stop until everything was working on the same day of install. It was non stop work from 8am until right before dinner time.As a woman sometimes I can feel uncomfortable being alone with a group of strangers but they made me feel at ease they were very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend this company.

Our water heater came to its end at 6pm on Wednesday night. I had a big group of folks coming to the house on Friday and a full day of work to do on Thursday. I called Northern Comfort Systems at 6:30pm on Wednesday and by 3pm on Thursday, Aaron had our new water heater fully installed without us having to be home to supervise. He was quick, neat, polite and professional. I cannot tell you how much we appreciated the quick fix with a quality experience. Thank you!!! Every time I call Northern Comfort Systems they are so helpful and polite.

Had a very good experience with Northern all the way around. I have trusted them with my HVAC maintenance ever since I bought my house. I just went through an overhaul installation project to get all new HVAC and water heater systems. The sales team was very open to hearing my requests and worked around my budget well, with good follow up during the project. The team performing the install were timely, not interruptive of my daily routine as I worked from home, and did not finish the work day until they made sure my furnace was working. Definitely consider Northern with your HVAC needs.

Johnnie T. came to the rescue today. Our furnace went out at 11 at night and the temperature outside was around zero. My husband left a message with Northern Comfort Systems and a few other places. Michael was the first one to return the call in the morning, and came and did an inspection about an hour later. Unfortunately it was determined that our Furnace needed replaced due to safety reasons. I feared that it would take days. But Johnnie was available to install the new furnace immediately. He was super courteous, kind and thorough with the installation. He froze his butt off in my basement for hours and kept a positive attitude the entire time. Only a few short hours later the house had heat again. And as a plus, he made sure to wipe his feet off every time he had to go out and come back into the house, and he did one hell of a job cleaning up all of the mess from the work. My husband and I have 3 kids and my husband was leaving for a business trip the next day. So when I say that he came to the rescue, I sincerely mean it! I honestly cannot thank him enough, so I will just submit this review. Great people, I highly recommend you give them a call first.

We were experiencing very high energy bills during the winter months. Our house has a heat pump and since this was my first experience with a heat pump I thought the high bills might be due to that system not being efficient. I called North Comfort to come out and look at our furnace to see if they could figure out why our system wasnt running efficiently. Found out that the new thermostat I installed last winter was not hooked up correctly so it was only using the aux heat source. The tech rewired the thermostat and now the heat pump is working. Northern was great. They were able to send someone out the same day I called. The tech was great and explained what he had to do and then checked to make sure everything was running. I would highly recommend Northern Comfort.

Our air conditioner went out over the 4th of July not to be really noticed until Sunday. My husband called and they put us on the list. We got a call at 8:03 Monday morning. Brandon W was here before noon. After trying a new capacitor which didnt solve the problem we opted for a whole new A/C and furnace system because of its age. He gave us several different estimates. We chose one and he was here at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. He worked steadily until 6:00 p.m. at which time everything was up and cooling. He was very professional. On a follow-up call today he tested the furnace not having wanted to heat us up more at the previous service call. That was extremely thoughtful of him. Highly recommend Northerns service from the office staff to the technician and equipment.

I will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to others in the future.
