Austin, Wes and Mark were great in diagnosing and fixing the problem. They were all respectful of our property. Wes and Mark installed a tankless water heater to replace the 50 gal tank that died. We have their extended warranty which among other things provides priority service. Our main shutoff in the basement had been dripping for years so I asked Wes how to deal with it. He gave me the contact info for Citizens Water as they must locate and inspect the outside shutoff near the street. They were very prompt so Wes replaced the inside shutoff today. Prices are reasonable and fair. This was the third project they did for us and we intend to keep them. Front office also very efficient.

I called to get a new tankless installed when my water heater finally gave out. Austin came out to give me a quote and was personable and not giving me any sales push vibes. Austin and Issac were efficient and retrofitted my water and gas lines well and integrated the new system into my basement in a way that made good use of my space. The new heater works great!

Last week the ejector pit pump failed. Wes and Isaac arrived and replaced the pump. All three of the employees were professional and courteous. They put on booties to protect our floors. Technician was great and helpful. Unfortunately the Navien water heater is not. It is a terrible, unreliable product and Navien has terrible customer service and refuses to deal with the homeowner on warranty repairs. Avoid Navien products as they are substandard and problematic. Check online for all their failure issues and warranty problems before purchasing.

They did a a great job cleaning up after finishing up! I also had a kitchen “stack” replaced and rerouted in my basement. The techs did a wonderful job especially considering they had to deal with very old plumbing which can often present challenges! They were friendly and very efficient in getting the job done.

They are always professional and on time, the office staff is very nice and responsive, and their quotes are clear and reasonable. Wes and Zach did our kitchen sink reroute and it looks great. They were very clear about what they were going to do and how they were going to best perform the work. Joe and Kevin spent a lot of time figuring out the best option for us to reroute our sink plumbing, and their honesty and solutions were very appreciated. Joe and Greg arrived exactly when they said they would and didnt waste any time getting to work. The recent freeze has created some leak issues at several spots in our home and while Joe investigated that, Greg sacrificed his clothes by going into our very cramped crawlspace to see the actual pipes themselves. I was very impressed by their willingness to take the extra step to investigate even though it meant some extra work.We were fortunate that the leaks were caused by inadequate drainage and a busted seal on an appliance rather than an actual pipe bursting. Joe and Greg did not apply any pressure to apply a grander solution and made us feel comfortable the whole time we were there. I would definitely recommend them to friends.

We had originally called Hope Plumbing for a couple of small leaks in our bathroom and kitchen. The leak came from us trying to install a new faucet ourselves. When Hope got out here they tried telling us that our new water softener wasn’t working because our water was super hard. He also told us that we had leaks throughout our whole house and the final cost was going to be $5,000. After we told him we weren’t going to pay that much he told us he would go and “speak to his boss”. He came back and said he could do it for $3500. We told him we were going to get a 2nd opinion.We then went off a couple of recommendations and called LD Smith. Greg came out and was very thorough and after he finished his inspection we were only charged $289 which included the annual maintenance check. We will be using LD Smith from now on!!

I actually had an incredibly lucky experience of serendipitously seeing an L. D. Smith Plumbing truck parked in front of my house right after I discovered a mysterious water leak in my basement. Sure enough they were there to help my next door neighbor with a completely unrelated issue. The gentleman assisting them, Wes, volunteered to check out what was going on at my house as soon as he was finished at my neighbor’s. The guys came to my house to assess my problem with a toilet that other plumbers could not figure out. After checking out everything over and over, they finally decided it had to be a leak in the toilet itself. Of course, I was sure that was not the problem and resisted. However they were able to show me that red dye was disappearing in an almost invisible spot in the bottom of the toilet. They were very patient with me and certainly were thorough. I highly recommend these guys!

Fantastic sewer replacement!! LD Smith had to hammer up all the pipes under my basement to replace the old cast iron from the 50s and replace with fresh PVC because our cast iron was deteriorating and causing a clog in the main line. They were fast, efficient, polite and friendly and did a wonderful job!!! There was practically no mess remaining once they finished the job, and the new concrete was nicely flush (no pun intended!) with the old concrete on the floor! Thank you LD Smith!!!!

After multiple failed attempts with other plumbing companies, I contacted L.D. Smith Plumbing. Joe McElfresh came out the same day to provide an inspection and estimate. Joe made a very good first impression on me and my husband. Due to scheduling conflicts, we opted to have the service completed the next day which meant having someone other than Joe to perform the work. Kurt Maynard came out the next day to replace the shower valve and trim kit. Kurt completed a 4-hour job in less than 3 hours. Kurt was very friendly and professional. They were professional, arrived on time, very friendly, explained everything they were going to do, even went the extra step when they found our regulator wasn’t working and putting out 140 psi. LD Smith did an excellent job with replacing my main water line. After skyrocketing bills from my utility company, they came out and quickly identified the issue. They had a team out within the next few days to replace my pipe. Everyone was extremely courteous and followed proper COVID protocols. Job was done efficiently. They were done if half the time they had originally estimated. All of the areas they worked in were completely cleaned up before they left. They sent pictures of the whole project and ensured my rate was a flat rate to avoid any overages. I can’t say enough great things about this experience.
