We had a power surge at our house late Sunday evening. Fire Department recommended we get a licensed electrician out ASAP to have everything checked for safety and make necessary repairs. The next morning I called the electricians I used before, but they were booked out for weeks. Ive never used them before, but I called Vander Hyde Service and they came out the same day! Fantastic service, professional team. They were at our house all afternoon and fixed everything, made it all safe again. And the price was very affordable. Vander Hyde Service just gained a customer for life! Were having them back out to do more work in the near future. Five stars arent enough!

I am more than pleased with the service Ive received from VanderHyde. They installed my water heater, and most recently, helped me following a basement leak by repiping my house. Jeff, Evan, and the Vander Hyde team are great. They got me into the schedule quickly for an HVAC inspection and explained what they found and my options to get it cleaned up and restore efficiency.Had them back a week later to get my system cleaned and tuned up. The whole team was great with communicating schedules and expected arrival, and everything was smooth and easy.I also had the electrical team out to inspect, repair, and update my home. Eric was great with the inspection and laid out the items that would be easy fixes or needed to meet code. He also went over updates to consider in the future and was clear that they would be more invasive if I pursue them.Dominic came out to do the work over a couple days, and got this old houses wiring fixed up with some modern circuits, GFIs, and correcting some safety issues.The scheduling team was great too. Most of my contact was with Paula, who got me situated without issue.Overall, Vander Hyde was responsive, communicated well, and were great to work with. The work itself is quality, and Ill be calling back when I have future needs.

BOOM! Just wanted to share a review on our boiler system. For years weve had problems with it for the fact that it is old, and pretty much outdated. Everyone always suggested that we needed to buy a new one. Jeff came out and pretty much tore out all the lines, pipes and etc. He was very professional and very artistic on putting it back together. He had limited space and it was fun watching him work his magic putting everything back together like a puzzle. I would highly recommend him and the company.

We had original cast iron sewer pipes that were breaking down after over 60 years and needed to be replaced; we also needed some other minor plumbing work. We received an estimate from Bill at Vander Hyde, and arranged to have the work done. Jake and Jake worked on the project for just over one day. They did excellent work and cleanup (see attached photos). I needed one last-minute addition to the proposal specs, and Jake was flexible and got it done. Our sewer should be good for another 60 years. I recommend Vander Hydes quality work. We have used them for various plumbing tasks over the last 15 years.

The two service technicians arrived very fast, and were able to diagnose a loose wiring problem after about an hour or so. They fixed the problem, replaced one GFI outlet, and did a good job. Pricing for the project seemed strangely high, but when pressed that the price seemed unusually high, they were able to drop it significantly. That was odd, but the final cost seemed reasonable given what they had to do.

Amazing service! I called them at 2:48pm and Tyler C was there by 3:30, now granted our furnace was ancient and gave out. Tyler was very transparent about our options and even showed us exactly what was wrong with our unit so we decided to replace the unit versus repair it. Tyler then called his boss Dan to get a second opinion and to help us purchase a new furnace. Dan was super fast and ended up getting to our house within 10 minutes. He was also very transparent and backed up Tyler’s options. Although the price wasn’t too fun to hear (not Tyler or VanderHydes fault at all) they were amazing about helping us find the best option at the best possible price. It’s Friday today and they’ll be installing the new unit Monday morning but gave us complimentary space heaters to use over the weekend until Monday.To summarize:Great CompanyGreat Customer ServiceGreat Turn around timeWill definitely recommend them to Family and Friends!

One of the technicians was Michael Tweedie. I didnt catch the name of the other guy I dont think. They showed up to check the plumbing they had done previously and found that the problem was with my dishwasher. I scheduled an appointment with an appliance repair place. Michael and the technician came back up to my apartment and somehow got my dishwasher to work. I did not ask them to work on my dishwasher they just did it. Im so impressed with vanderh hyde that Im going to recommend you guys to everyone I know who needs plumbing.

We had a great experience with Vanderhyde Heating and Cooling. We had a technician come out to look at what was wrong with our heater. He looked and gave us all the different levels of repair costs. We decided to go with a new system and they had a sales tech come out within and hour or two after Gary Bratt left. Don Mansk came out and talked to my husband about our choices. He also took a look at the water heater. After much discussion we decided to get both a new heating system and water heater. Both men were very knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us several options to choose from. We are comfortable with the choice we made and how they helped us. They didn’t just try to get us to go with the most expensive unit, they talked about what would be best for our home. Vanderhyde is a great company to work with.Matt Hengy came out to do the installation of the new furnace and hot water heater. He did a great job. He was very polite and respectful. Matt and Logan installed both. They did a great job with the installation and also explaining to us what they did and where they made the upgrades to parts to make them legal. They also took away all of the old parts.We are very happy with how quickly they got it done and how well it was done.

We have had a lot of contractors out in the last year after buying a fixer upper. In the last 2 weeks we had Vander Hyde out to remove old baseboard heaters (literally responded to an email inquiry in 24 hours and were out performing the service that same week) and to install a whole house generator. Both times they kept to the schedules they initially presented, which appears to be unheard of these days.Both teams that came out were great, and I will highly recommend Vander Hyde to anyone, but I really have to give special props to the electrician for our generator install, Spencer, who went above and beyond.Consumers Energy sent a terrible employee out to open the meter that caused some major issues/delays in getting our power restored (Im not even kidding, she *STOLE OUR METER*).Spencer, after a full day of work, stayed with us until Consumers finally sent out a different, non-terrible, tech to replace the stolen meter, and if he hadnt been there, advocating for us, then Consumers wouldve left us without power until the next day.And after being at a work site that long (it was past 9pm, and both days of the project started bright and early), he was super nice, funny, and just a cool guy to hang out with when all of us were a bit hangry and just wanted the day to be over. He took a situation that could have easily been miserable and made it feel like we were spending time with a good friend, not someone we had just met.Vander Hyde, you have a rare gem in Spencer. He is not only thorough, knowledgeable, and highly skilled as an electrician, he is also a great people person with excellent customer service skills.Thank you for great work, great employees, and great service.

Andrew and another co-plumber (sorry forgot your name!) came out to reassess and service my water heater issue after I didn’t feel I was offered other options at first call. Andrew went above and beyond to know it’s not about the sale, but the right needs and options, as well to help me get hot water for the time being. I can see why he’s the manager, and well skilled and experienced- as well as his other co-worker.I appreciated the details, lay out, cost, options, their experiences opinion, and ability to repair my heater on the spot. Vander Hyde performed a standby generator install for us and did excellent work providing a detailed spec sheet of our homes power needs up front. They visited twice to make some changes to the planned implementation approach where we ended up moving the generator from the West side of the house to the East side. We worked with 3 other companies to get quotes and no one came close to providing the level of detail that Vander Hyde did. They also pro-actively had us reach out to Generac while on-site with us so that wed get an extended warranty included from the manufacturer.On the day of installation, two technicians arrived on time and were very easy to talk with. They kept us in the loop throughout the day as they ran a long gas and power line to enable the generator to receive gas and transmit power back to the house.They also did great work explaining how the generator works, what the accompanying app will and wont do, and how best to maintain it. The test at the end where we ran on generator power for 10 minutes felt liberating because we no longer will lose power from storms etc.If youre thinking of a standby generator install Id highly recommend having Vander Hyde on your list of companies to consider.

Not long after moving into our new home, we discovered there were issues with the boiler heating system. Kevin VanderHyde came out quickly and ended up spending a lot of time with us explaining things we didn’t know about the system and some other helpful info about the house. Clearly the system needed replacing, but he made some adjustments so that we could get the last of the life out of it. Two years later we knew we wouldn’t make it another winter and I remembered the great service from Kevin, so I called him to quote a new combination boiler and water heater system. It was a pretty huge job, requiring not just labor but advanced skill. A couple weeks later Anthony and Jake spent three days installing the new system. They were extremely courteous, organized, and communicative throughout the process. I felt really comfortable having them in my home and around my children. They walked me through everything they did and how the system works and told me to call anytime if I needed help making any adjustments. I’m looking forward to having endless hot water and really consistent heat while my energy bills go way down due to the new high tech efficiency. This was a really big investment and their price may not be the very cheapest, but you absolutely get what you pay for. They are also not the most expensive by a long shot either- this same system could go for a much higher price by companies that are not as experienced and established - which I was happy to find out when I was reading other reviews. This company is skilled and trustworthy.

First of all I got two texts and a phone call that Jon was on the way to our home, so this company is all over the notification process. Love that. After the required maintenance was done, he showed me photos of the work hed done, then kept going. He shut off our power to ensure the generator worked, tested the generators response time and explained thoroughly what would happen should we lose power. Now that Jon has been here, I feel like I know way more about this generator that we inherited from the former owner of our home.
