We use consumers energy for repairs, and the service professor was sent out. They did a thorough inspection. The furnace was not able to be repaired he shared every photo. Called Tommy, and he was here that late afternoon he also took photos and shared them. This company is very thorough and so helpful. Tommy made the process fast and easy and had us scheduled asap. They let us use heaters to help us get through. We highly recommend this company everyone was so kind and helpful.

Excellent customer service! I called on Thursday at 2:00pm and Randy arrived by 9am the next morning. Randy was extremely knowledgeable and explained exactly what would need to be done and how he would do it before giving us his quote. He also provided some additional information regarding our electrical system, which was appreciated. I highly recommend!

Overall, I am quite pleased with the service technicians who have come into our home within this last week. Today, Jaylen Branch and Craig installed our USA made Bradford White new water heater. They were in and out in about 2 hours. During the installation, we had a little mishap with a small leak and Jaylen reacted quickly to stop the leak. We really appreciated his fast response. Both Jaylen and Craig were very polite, knowledgeable and professional. Because of this, both Mom and I felt like we were in good hands! Thanks guys for doing a neat and clean water heater install!A couple days ago, the supervisor Tom Clevenger came out to inspect our drain system with a camera. He was very professional and reassuring in what he was doing plus it was great to view the status of our underground drain system 80 feet out to the road. Now, of course the repair quote was quite expensive but he did try to help with the expense by providing a discount and editing a previous quote written up by Matthew Jayne on Monday. Matthew was very open and honest with us about the condition of our water heater and drain system. We appreciate his candor and concern.Service Professor makes us feel valued and at ease so we might just have to stick with them for our plumbing needs! Thanks guys!

First Jordan the technician came to our house and was able to solve the issue for us. He was the 3rd tech wed had in 2 weeks and the others seemed to miss it.Tommy was able to come out hours later and get us set up with a payment plan for a new furnace to be installed the next day!Very happy with the experience so far. We had a great experience with our tech Jordan that came out to help us. Our furnace is only about 4 years old from Service Professor and it started to stop working randomly so they sent Jordan out to assist us. He was very informative, friendly, and took his time to assess and fix the situation. We ended up having to call back the next morning because our furnace went out again that night, but Jordan came back the next day and replaced the whole control panel which was still under warranty. I appreciate Service Professor’s quick response and remediation. I would recommend Jordan to assist anyone. Great guy!

When my sink decided to stop draining, I made the rounds in search of a plumber. Service Professor was one of the higher ranked on Google, and they were the only ones with quickest availability.There was a goof in scheduling, and it took an extra day to get someone out to my home, but given that it is the holidays and weve been getting our first real good snow in, I wasnt mad at them for a mistake like that.They had someone out promptly the very next morning, first one on the schedule. I was introduced to Natalie, and I couldnt be happier with her service. Natalie was quick and efficient, answered all my questions about the sink, disposal, plumbing, and even future things to potentially look out for or consider repairing (our house is pretty old, I could tell the advice came from concern, not an effort to pitch a sale).Natalie was so bright, made me feel comfortable, and we had a lively conversation about home ownership, our pets, and home projects. She was truly a joy to talk to, Im glad they sent her.Overall, if or when I need any other plumbing or household services that need doing, Ill be calling Service Professor, and Ill be asking for Natalie when possible.

We recently purchase a new gas range and we were experiencing some problems and delays regarding the installation. After a week of not having the range hooked up and operable, with delays and uncertainty of what needed to be done by the original installers, we contacted Service Professor and got a scheduled appointment for the next day. Our service tech Thomas was able to take a look at the situation and was able to immediately go about getting our range up snd running in a short time. He was also able to address a couple of other questions we had regarding plumbing issues and suggest what we should monitor and what steps we should probably take in the near future.It was so nice to get such excellent service and promptness. We definitely know who to contact with future service needs….it will be Service Professor and Thomas.ThanksWe had another appointment with Service Professor, this time with technician Randy Burns. He did an evaluation of the switch for our garbage disposal and determined that there was no problem with the switch and we will monitor the disposal, to see if we have any further instances when it does not start. We discussed an item that had been pointed out to us at our home inspection, as we recently purchased the home. The electrical panel is rather old and there are a few concerns with it. Randy took the time to explain thoroughly what issues we currently have and the options that we would have in having a new higher capacity panel installed. The current one is operating over capacity, resulting in some inefficiency and a surge protector that we do have, not supplying us with the protection that it should, due to the manner it had been installed. We are moving ahead with the new panel by Service Professor and feel very comfortable making the investment after having all aspects of the project explained thoroughly, from the technical operations to the financial programs available through Service Professor. So pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of Randy and all those we come in contact with at Service Professor!Bruce A

Put in a new HVAC system today. The process was quick and easy. From the salesman Sam who showed us what we needed and didn’t need. Then getting us scheduled the following week for install. The crew was nice and professional showing us what they did and what they did have to do letting us know to expect a refund since we were paid in full. One thing was how well they respected our home by putting down walking paths to and from the furnace room to their truck. That was something that impressed me. The whole experience was great and we are glad we chose service professors

Aaron Very kind and knowledgeable, was patient with all questions. The price I feel could have been better, but I don’t know it’s a big job. Will post more after they started the electric nightmare. Steve was the one amongst a few others that came out and do electrical. My whole house needed an update. I am now waiting for electric people to come out and then my township to look and see up to code. We had one of their plumbers come out and give a quote not the best experience with them. We need a new bladder tank for water pressure. They knew that too but gave us almost $8,000 option fix. Otherwise they said an option was to get a new hot water tank. It’s only 6yrs old and that’s not the problem. So know a little bit about your house before just settling. The electricians were great though. I would use them again

It started rough with my plumbing issues,, But a young man from service professor Chris Kuhn Turn things around for me. Very professional knowledgeable, and actually listens to what the customer needs and understands what he’s really doing. I was having a rough couple days, but thanks to Chris He made things a little bit easier. At least part of the job hopefully will go well and it’s something less I’d have to worry about.

Rich came out to look at my furnace he let me know what the best rout would be for my situation and had Sam out the very next morning to go over pricing and plans of action. When Sam couldn’t get me a new furnace installed the next day he offer to have some space heaters for me until Monday when they would be out to replace everything. Both of the guys was very down to earth and explained everything in so much detail I didn’t have any questions. I was absolutely terrified going into this, I bought a trailer without checking the pipes and it was worse than bad when winter came. Jim came out and not only talked me through everything that was going on in a way I could understand but after he did his evaluation he gave me 4 different options varying in price and how extensive the service is. He talked me through them all and we chose the cheapest option which still solved the main problems and the company was very eager to get the work started. The guys that came out were AWESOME and made me feel very confident about the work they were doing. Jim even personally came back out to help walk me through the financing process and it wasn’t a stressful or embarrassing process at all.

Had an great experience with Service Professor. Called to have a leaky toilet repaired and was scheduled for the next day. There was great communication before the appt and then when Chris Kuhn the service tech showed up he explained what he was going to do, then checked all the bathrooms and water heater. He then took pictures of the toilet issue and showed me defective parts. Gave me the quote and began the work on approval. He took extreme care and wore protective footwear when in our home. He went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Chris is an amazing employee and we will request him specifically when using Service Professor again.

Stephen, Cody, and Ray did an excellent job installing a new main line to my septic tank. Stephen did a great job rerouting the existing pipes to the main line and removing the old cast iron main line. Ray and Cody busted their butts digging a trench to the tank through our unforgiving clay and rock-filled ground. Everyone was in high spirits and had great attitudes the whole day and it indeed was a whole-day job. Starting with Nate and John and then Rich, our whole experience with Service Professor was fantastic. As long as I live within their service area, I will unquestionably use them for all of my plumbing, HVAC, and electrical needs. These are the type of people you want working on your home. I felt as if I was having family over. Everyone was honest and welcoming. Maybe Ill invite them over for Thanksgiving.

My technician, Landyn, was great and I give him 5 stars, even though he unfortunately couldnt resolve my issue today. He explained thoroughly what he felt the problem is and options available to address it. He even went under my house to get a complete picture of what will be needed to fix this.Thomas Muller came out the next Monday (the earliest my schedule allowed) and assessed the situation, explained what needed to be done and what it would cost, and answered all my questions. His was also 5 star service.Michael Ramirez and his team (Im sorry I dont remember their names) were here 2 days later. They were professional, efficient, and again made sure to address any questions I had. And my drain works again! They also deserve 5 stars.If you have any plumbing needs, I can definitely recommend Service Professor. 👍

Had a slow draining/clogged kitchen sink drain. I called Service Professor at 8am in the morning, they arrived at 9am, and had everything taken care of within 45 minutes. They used a long reaching & powerful auger to unclog whatever ‘gunk’ was built up somewhere far down the drain line.Our technician, James, was friendly, courtesy, & very knowledgeable. Another technician, Tanner, ended up stopping by a little later to do a complementary main drain line inspection using a camera to ensure everything was in good order.In summary, efficient, knowledgeable, & affordable service was provided from start to finish by the Service Professor team. Highly recommended!

I had a leaky water heater, and as a first time homeowner, I felt very lost and uncertain about what the next steps would be. The fact that I don’t know much about this stuff, made it even more nerve-racking because I wasn’t sure who to call or trust so that I wouldn’t be ripped off. Thankfully, I have a brother from out of town who knew A little bit about this stuff and he told me what to expect as well as what to look out for.I randomly started calling some local plumbers. Most of them, before there was even a home visit, I felt that I was already being talked into buying something. But when I called the Service professor Their customer service is excellent! I told them what was going on and they were able to send someone out the very next day!Nick was my service professional that showed up to take a look at my water heater. His customer service was absolutely exceptional!Considering my water heater runs on gas, I had many many concerns and fears and I had a long list of questions. Nick was very patient and did an amazing job explaining things to me as well as making me feel very reassured and taking care of. Rather than just pointing out a problem and handing me a quote, he actually took the time and taught me a lot! I felt like I was talking to a trusted friend! He was very honest and gave me the pros and cons of every single option, so that moving forward I could make an educated decision that would fit best for my life style as well as my budget. I never felt like he was only trying to sell me a bunch of stuff that I didn’t need. By the end of the visit, I was feeling so much better and even had more confidence as a first time homeowner!! I highly highly recommend Service Professor!!

Purchased a new HVAC system in late Aug. for about 16k. Price was higher than the competitors.My heat stopped working in March (23rd) I called the Main line asked to have a tech scheduled and asked for Management to call ( also told the tech to have management call). Tech responded same day no call from management.I called Main line again on March 27th to send a tech because it was still leaking and to please have management call me.Techs showed up on the 29th and said it is a manufactures defect and would have to order a new part. I asked the techs to have management to give me a call.To Date 4-8 no call from management . Here are the pictures of my New unit.I will post a review update as to how this gets handled ,but for now 1 star.UPDATEService professor stepped up and replaced the unit and made things right. I am pleased with the service to the customer!

Nick came out to give us a quote for a complete sump pump install(we had the crock, just no pump.) Nick was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional He was able to meet our needs for this project within our budget.The install went smoothly. Luke and his team came out on time as scheduled. They covered carpeted areas with protective coverings. They were very professional, courteous, efficient and cleaned everything up when they were done. I would have Service Professor out to my house for future projects.

I called at 11:00 a.m. to schedule a service callto service our gas hot water heater! I received a text from Thomas from Service Professor at 1:50 pm that he would be at our house in 30 minutes! He was at our door promptly at 2:20 pm!! He was very friendly and professional and assessed the situation! Due to the age of our water heater, the part was no longer available and an alternative part would require relocating our venting pipes! A new water heater was needed. We got our quote and Thomas got us scheduled for tomorrow morning! Very satisfied with how promptly all of this played out! We are hoping for the installation process to go as smoothly as it did today!!!

We had amazing customer service from a few different guys that all helped to get our sewer and plumbing fixed and updated. It started with a severe clog in our shower/bathroom sink (standing water for almost 24 hours) and Landyn came out and helped clear up the drain and told me that I could have someone come out to inspect the whole sewer line for no extra charge with the drain cleaning special. So, Tanner came out to put a camera in our sewer line and found the real issue - a broken sewer pipe. He had Ryan and his crew out the next day to fix it up. They worked extra hard to help get our line cleared out after fixing the pipe when we had a couple small blockages and now our water pressure is better than its been since we moved in. We are very satisfied with the customer service we received from the entire crew! Thank you all so much for your hard work!

They all walk away with my personal things that they are not supposed to be touching properties. I ask them to leave my old furnace, fan, water pump, I talk to technician Jason, but second Group off technicians took away my property, this is michigan law need to leave parts, when owner asked, the vent was drill in different part of my house, after I talk to Jason first day and second crew off technicians, not sure why they make their own decisions on my property. They never communicated with me where they will put the vent coming in from inside to going outside of the house. now my house look ugly with white pip sticking in front my house, they used my shop vacuum and walk away my property, left the vent cap inside the house half left un - finished putting screws. They moved around where all my expensive tools are, I called and left messages to bring my old furnace back and they haven’t. I told them I recycle myself. They work on my furnace for two days and so many Technicians involved, coming in and out of the hose , Job was not as how I excepted, I hope I can count on them to come back and explained what they did and take care off unfinished job and give my things back. I hope to count on them for 10 years warranty as they have promised. Thank you

Tim from Service Professional did an excellent job installing our tankless water heater. He and his team worked all day and when it was time to turn the water back on the old valve gave out. That meant a call to the city to shut the water off at the street. This ended up being a 3 hour delay in making any progress on the job. At this point Tim and his partner could do nothing but wait. They did so professionally, respectfully and patiently. Once the city finally showed up Tim went quickly back to work to finalize the work he started. By the time he was able to call it a day, it was dark out and way past the dinner hour. I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with this installation and quality workmanship and service.

The guys from Service Professor were here today to finish the last part of our project, which involved upgrading us from a 100-AMP electrical service to a 200-AMP and installing an EV charger in our garage for our VW ID.4. As USUAL, the guys from Service Professor were right on schedule and at the door by 8:30AM with a Consumer’s Power technician in tow to disconnect our existing service. Greg and his crew worked nonstop all day (I don’t even think they took a lunch break!), updating us along the way. By midafternoon the city inspector was here to OK all the work Service Professor crews had completed since August, approved the work, and by 4:45 Consumer’s returned to turn on our new service. Everything went FLAWLESSLY from August through today, and we now have a new heat pump for cooling and heating, a new furnace for auxiliary heating, a new 200-AMP electrical service in place of our old overtaxed and limping service, and a considerably faster EV charger than the one that came with our car expertly installed in our garage!I think what we appreciate most is that Service Professor handled all the headache-inducing things, like pulling permits, coordinating with Consumer’s and scheduling the final inspections. OR that all the work was done by actual employees of Service Professor as opposed to outsourced to subcontractors for work that couldn’t be done in-house. OR that we just got to sit back and relax while Service Professor capably and adeptly ran the show. OR that every last person on their crews were trained, knowledgeable, punctual and personable. OR that we have TOTAL peace of mind that we don’t have to chase subcontractors to fix anything they didn’t do right, and that we got the benefit of a firm, fixed-price contract so we didn’t have to worry about potential tacked-on services or fees once the work was underway. I don’t know that we can honestly PICK anything that we appreciate more than any other factor. Rather, we appreciate the total package, like a perfect experience all tied up with a little red bow!THANK YOU, Jerry, Joe, Greg and every one of your team members who handled every part of our project from quote through completion! We are SO glad we chose your company over the others who also quoted our project! We recognize that we paid a little more than we might have going with a different company, but my husband and I unequivocally agree that the total experience was worth EVERY penny!To sum up, if you’re comparing quotes and services against Service Professor and you go with someone else, you’ve likely hired the wrong people! I had Service Professor out four different times in a week.It all began on Friday, November 24. The day after Thanksgiving and all I want to do is get my laundry done. But my washer goes through a rinse cycle and my sewer backs up. Chaos and phone calls later to companies that weren’t open I finally remember the “We’ll fix it in a snap” company and call Service Professor. They’re open! They’re not charging holiday rates! Yay! There’s a special? Even better!Landyn was sent out that day to take a look. He had to auger out the sewer pipes and when it was pulled back it was absolutely wrapped in roots. He set up an appointment for me for the next Monday morning to have someone run a camera through to see exactly what I was dealing with.Tanner came out on Monday to run a camera down the line. I saw visual proof of cracked pipes (since I have clay pipes) and a whole forest of roots. He laid out all my options for me and was honest about each of them. I’m very appreciative that Service Professor does financing and that it was a quick and easy process to get that done.Dylan and his crew were at my house for almost 10 hours on Wednesday getting a pipe through my pipe (I was working and sadly didn’t have much time to observe how that all worked, but what little I saw was fascinating!) They communicated very well with me about when my toilet could and could not be used. And apparently they were able to save me from needing an extraction even though I had gigantic holes in two sections. That was awesome and amazing!Friday morning I woke up to a puddle in my laundry room. On Wednesday my washer was disconnected so the crew could hook up a hose since my outside spigot was frozen. I called and talked to someone at 6 a.m. who was delightful and cheery and helpful (but I can’t remember her name!) and Bree was sent out several hours later. It ended up being just bad luck/bad timing that the seal on the hose broke, but it was fully replaced in no time by Bree. She also helped me move my washer and dryer around so I could mop up, which was greatly appreciated!In all – 5 stars for everyone who I talked to and came out over this week and 5 stars for Service Professor as a whole!

Zac, Rick, and the whole electrical crew from Service Professor were really awesome to work with! I recently purchased a home that had hazardous and outdated electrical (some federal pacific, two sub panels improperly installed). Service Professor gave me multiple quotes to choose from regarding my options for service. I decided to upgrade my whole system to 200 amp in the garage with proper grounding and surge protector with a consolidated 100 amp panel in the basement. They arrived on-time, with a sizeable crew (who were all very friendly and respectful), and were able to complete the whole service upgrade in one day! Their work looks tidy, sturdy, and professionally installed. They also labeled all the breakers for me. Im really really impressed with their work. I have tremendous peace of mind now knowing my electrical is safe and expandable for years to come. Loved that Brad took the time to listen to my frustration about the reoccurring problems with the ac unit. His years of experience was needed to identify the problem and within 20 minutes he was able to provide a remedy and schedule the replacement of the coil. Wished this was done the first time back in July so I could have fully used the unit more and take less time from work every time I have to call for service. Can’t wait for this unit to be fixed.

John did a great job diagnosing the problem with my A/C unit and gave me honest professional advice on how to proceed. I ended up using their BOGO deal and got both my A/C and furnace replaced. Tony the install tech was very thorough and answered all my questions so I was comfortable making the purchase. Joe did a great job on the install and other than the nice new equipment you could hardly tell they were there. Joshua also did a great job on the duct cleaning. We just bought a new refrigerator and needed the hose to the ice maker replaced. They sent Jordan out to evaluate what we needed and because we have a lot of iron in our water, he also suggested installing an iron filter. Dylan and Brian got the line replaced and installed the iron filter, which made a huge difference in the taste of our water. We only had a 2 outlet wall socket and Dylan suggested we get a 4 outlet wall socket.Cory came a few days later to evaluate the electrical socket for us. He installed a 4 outlet wall socket and a whole house surge protector. Our house is almost 30 years old and we need to update a few things so we will definitely be calling them again.They provided outstanding customer service. The office always notified me when the techs would be here and all of the service techs that came were very courteous, respectful, and explained exactly what they were doing. While hoping to get another year or two out of an aging furnace, it inevitably died during a peak heating season. Service Professor handled everything promptly, on schedule, and communicated well throughout the process. They provided complimentary space heaters to help bridge the gap before they could replace the equipment. They did have to push back installation one day later than scheduled due to issues out of their control, but when they showed up the following day, a total of approximately 7 technicians over the course of the day removed the existing furnace and AC units, installed new units, replaced line sets, installed new electrical service to meet code, etc. All technicians were professional, courteous, and great to work with.

She even had to call around for a part she needed and she made a trip to Lansing to pick it up and when she replaced that part, she found a circuit board that needed to be replaced and she went to pick it up, too.
