Godwin won the bid to install a new tankless water heater at my home (2nd lowest of 4 bidders) and came with piece of mind since they had installed the previous 75gallon tanked heater that lasted 26 years without a single PM or repair order.R.J. and Nate tackled the install in one day, despite needing to run new PVC intake and exhaust runs, and significant rework to the existing gas supply line. The area of install was tight, but they got it all to fit and R.J. even came back for a follow-up after the township inspection was successfully completed to re-route a relief valve drip leg that i felt was too close to the rooms ingress/egress doorway.Great value, quality work and responsive follow-up. Thanks Godwin! And R.J., Nate and Neil (furnace conversion) in particular.

I put too much water in my ancient steam boiler and wasnt sure what to do, if anything. Called Godwin and they sent Steve out the very next morning. Steve not only did a thorough inspection of the boiler, but also gave me a good education on the boilers workings. I was relieved when Steve said all was fine for the current heating season, but some preventative maintenance would be needed in the Spring. Steve was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend Godwin Plumbing.

We had Micah come to the house for some plumbing issues and then to install a new kitchen faucet. We requested him for the second trip since we really liked him the first time. Micah is professional, genuine and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond, even fulfilling a couple additional requests that arose during his visit. He made time to clearly explain everything to us, and gave very thorough info and recommendations. We started using Godwin years ago since the company was founded by my great uncle, Red Brummel...but they have never disappointed, so we call them anytime we need something done. We have used Godwin Plumbing & Heating for many years. When we had a non-emergency problem in our 13 year old water heater , Allen Davis came and diagnosed it as a gas control valve failure, stating that he could either replace the valve or we could replace the water heater. He didnt pressure us, just gave us our options. We decided to replace the valve and hope the water heater lasts several more years. Allen needed the part and called the store to have someone deliver it to our house while he drained the tank and worked on paperwork. No additional charge for part delivery. Whole job was completed within 1.5 hours. No mess, no fuss, and he was a very pleasant, knowledgeable technician to work with.

Overall I was satisfied with installation of new water heater, but I wish the technician would have offered multiple options for water heaters. I had specifically asked about adding a vent fan to my existing before deciding to get a new one, but the water heater installed did not have one. There were models from same manufacturer that had vent fans integrated onto them, but the one I got did not. Also, I noticed that the vent fan water heater had a higher efficiency rating which would have allowed for a rebate and less energy use. My installed water heater had a relatively low efficiency rating and no rebate was available.

Just had a Godwin technicians come for a gas furnace check and tune-up. The guys contacted me ahead of their arrival to confirm and showed up as scheduled. They were polite, knowlegeable, and conducted the check in a very professional manor. They were gracious in allowing me to watch and respond to my many questions. The whole process took about an hour. Well worth the agreed upon charge.

Bathtub/Shower area remodel.The Godwin plumbing crew (Ted & Caleb) did a fantastic job yesterday (November 7, 2024).- The demolition down to the wall studs.- Remove the old bathtub (enameled cast iron).- Fix the area where water damage occurred.- Install the new bathtub (enameled cast iron)These tasks are not easy in fact, they are really hard. Especially the demolition and installing a 310-pound bathtub with little space to work in and install into. But they did it with zero damage to anything.Job well done Ted & Caleb.Thank you.

Used their services twice. Once for a kitchen leak into our floor boards and the other a hot water valve leak in the basement. Both times they were able to come out within a few days and gave me a general window of time.The dishwasher leak was unfortunately the dishwasher itself which was not covered by the plumber but he capped our water line going to the dishwasher for us and marked the time spent (about 20 min) as 0 so that we only had to pay for the trip cost.The valve leak was pretty quick fix. It was a different person. He came and added a tape and tightened the valve connection. It only took about 10 minutes. It has been 19 days and it has not leaked so far.We were happy with their service and politeness.

My first time working with Godwin, and did not disappoint! My furnace was inconsistently turning on and off, leaving my house very cold. Allen came to the rescue. As a young first time home owner, furnace technicalities were a foreign language. Allen spent to time to explain what he was doing and gave me tips and tricks, without making me feel inadequate. He was able to get my furnace running the way its supposed to, and I felt the cost for the repair was transparent and very fair. No unnecessary charges. I will definitely be reaching out to Godwin again as needed in the future!

Recently, we encountered a poltergeist, there was banging and growling and gurgling day and night. The furnace was clearly inhabited, turning itself on and off at will. It got loud, it got scary, it got chilly in here! Thank you Chris, and your whole team (yes, it took a team) for your diligence, your good humor, your expertise. Quick service, good explanations, thorough examinations to make sure the problem really was what they thought it was without trying to upcharge for a bunch of stuff I didnt need. Really a great company.I had a leaking valve on my water heater. They were able to come out the same day and replace the valve and reconnect the drain tube that had broken off. They vacuumed out the water in the drain pan to make sure there we no other leaks. All for under $200. Will definitely call them again if and when I need their services.

We needed to have 8 feet of water supply line and gas supply line temporarily removed and then replaced the next day. This was arranged so we would only be without water for 24 hrs. ( Some other companies couldnt return for 2 days). The 2 lines were in the way of some foundation work we were having done.I explained to Cathy what I needed, she had Allen call me to set up a time for him to come look at the job and give us an estimate. He was on time, knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything to me, and brought to my attention that our house was not grounded and we needed to get an electrician to come fix that. Their estimate was fair and they came up with the suggestion on how to limit the time we would be without running water. And they worked with the foundation companys schedule for working on that wall.Everyone I came into contact with from Godwin was so helpful.I have them in my file, and will definitely call them when we have a plumbing or heating issue.On a scale of 0 - 10, with 10 being the best, Id rate them a 12.

I really can’t say enough about these guys! I just had my 4th Godwin In-home Repair yesterday. Once again, top notch across the board. Yesterday, Allen was the serviceman assigned to my appointment. He was extremely pleasant. On top of that, he was very professional, quick and best of all, honest. Just like the ALL of the previous servicemen that have come out to my home. I say honest because he could have easily spent at least 2 – 3 times the amount of time repairing the issue. But he spent just under an hour. My appointment dates was roughly 10 or so days from when I initially called, but it’s only because I’m not the only one who know these guys are the best in the area. If your issue is something that doesn’t need immediate attention, Godwin is worth that extra days you may need to wait.

Godwin did the work quickly, and the cost was very reasonable.I called around to get pricing to replace a cracked spigot, and Godwin was the only place that could explain the solution and quote it over the phone without calling a tech.I knew it was a simple repair, and even after explaining it I was told by several other plumbers that it would be around $300 for parts and labor.Godwin had it done in 45 minutes (they said less than an hour over the phone) and for nearly half that.A+ job guys. She was thoughtful in pointing out options to consider and frankly a pleasure to spend part of a Saturday afternoon shopping with. Furthermore, we later found a small price difference at Home Depot, as a fixture was currently on sale there. I reached out to Godwins general customer service chat on the website without providing details of my order yet. I just asked their policy on price matching. Their customer service immediately identified my quote, found the sale price at Home Depot, and gave us the difference. It could not have been a simplier process. They are also working directly with our countertop vendors to arrange pick ups and drop offs. I needed two service calls and had two different plumbers because there were two leaks in the ceiling - surprise to me! Both Godwin plumbers were prompt, professional and good-humored, a big change from the sullen, obnoxious plumbers at another service which rhymes with Bag-none. The plumbers correctly diagnosed and repaired both leaks, and the bill was reasonable. Amazing company, the reviews are spot on for them. If you need plumbing they are the ones to go with. They gave me a quote and I said it was a fair price. They did the work and then I got the bill and it was less than the quote......... How many companies these days would do that? The Plumber that came was very professional too. 10/10

Mike came out this morning to fix a kitchen sink leak. He was fabulous! Energetic, humorous, quick & efficient. He even asked if there were other opportunities so I had him fix our leaky bath faucet also. Not only was his work done well, he was also very conscientious about covid. He wore a mask and offered to wipe down my debit card after he swiped it. First experience with Godwin and certainly wont be the last.
