Les called back right away and got me scheduled for the next day. He asked lots of questions when he showed up and quickly estimated the problem was at the end of the line. Les decided to do a reverse clean and found the issue just a couple of feet in. That right there is why you hire a professional - EXPERIENCE. I would have started at the toilet and spent all day trying to snake that out…and still needed to call someone (and probably broke something in the process).Les was in and out quickly and helped to clean up some of the mess in the utility room caused by the backup. Fast, knowledgeable, and professional. Couldn’t ask for more.

Les was quick to come out, scope it with a camera and noticed tree and grass roots stuck in there. Pulled out his chain extractor tool which grabbed the blockage and all is good as new. Line flowing well. $275 well worth it to not have water pooling right at our foundation anymore. 6 month guarantee on his work to boot! Thank you Les!

Les responded VERY quickly and respectfully.What amazed me more was how kind he was when my grandfather suddenly passed away when services were schedule. As a small business owner myself, I respect that. I have had other plumbing companies out and every time they came I felt like I was overcharged and shoved around/not treated with respect. Les Butler is the best. The first time i was referred to him I thought to myself wow he is great. Amazing responsiveness, clear communication, and punctual. Fast forward months later and I need a separate sewer meter installed in my home. Again, the communication and responsiveness alone was to rave about but I needed a job done. Les finished the job as promised on the day promised and I scheduled an inspection soon thereafter. The inspector took one look at his work and said this was one of the best installs he has ever seen. Apparently Les went above and beyond code to make sure the Installation would avoid any issues down the line. He did not point this out to me because that quality is what is normal to him. Just further validation why I will continue to make Les my go to for anything plumbing related.

Im a Grand Rapids landlord and I called Butlers Rooter, LLC on a Friday afternoon because of a sewer back-up at one of my properties. Everyone knows that plumbers need plenty of time to schedule an appointment, so I was pleasantly shocked that Les, the owner of Butlers Rooter, was able to work me into his schedule for the same day. In fact, Les arrived at the property within 3 hours of my initial call. He used a camera and showed me what was blocking the line, and he was completely successful at clearing the blockage including some intrusive tree roots. Les was up front about his price, professional, efficient and left the work area in good condition. I will ABSOLUTELY use Butlers Rooter, LLC, again. I highly recommend!

Les came at 5:00 and stayed for 3 hours to fix an extremely clogged pipe. He explained when you use 2 ply paper with low water flow toilets, they tend to back up, and when it gets to that point, it’s pretty bad.Les was awesome, he was even on the roof at one point to get things going. Les did a very amazing job. I have been dealing with several contractors at my house lately, and I can confidently say he provided very great service and did an impeccable job. I can easily say he treated the job as if it were his own house, he was very detail oriented and takes great pride in the work he does. I wish I could say this for all contractors but unfortunetly that is not always the case. Typically I do not leave reviews as I’m generally satisfied but in this instance I feel I really need to let everyone know how great the work was by Butler’s Rooter.I got a new sink and faucet. The sink install went very smoothly. The faucet he installed for me had a slight wiggle to it, indicating it did not sit correctly. He showed me the issue and tried to correct it but after several attempts he suggested trying a new faucet but left it up to me to decide. He informed me it would not cause an issue with the functionality of the faucet but could be slightly annoying over time. I am very unfamiliar with anything to do with plumbing, Les answered all the questions I had and helped me understand how the plumbing worked in my house.He always let me know when he was available. The work I needed done was going to take more than 1 day and I did not ever have a scheduling conflict. He always let me know when he could be at my house and it was done in a timely manner.Overall, I would highly recommend his experience and expertise if you need a plumber for your home/business.

We can’t say enough good things about Butler’s Rooter. We have had an ongoing issue with a drain backing up in our basement laundry room. We’ve had a few other people out to look at it with a variety of thoughts and theories about what the problem could be, but nobody could give us a clear answer. We reached out to Butler’s Rooter, and we received an immediate response. Les came out to our house the next day (on a Friday evening) and showed up exactly when he said he would. Les listened to everything we had to say, and jumped right into diagnosing the problem. Les did not come out to just listen and provide an estimate, he came out with all his equipment, ready to get to work and fix our problem. After checking multiple different things, he was able to get to the bottom of the problem, and he kept us in the loop every step of the way. He successfully fixed a problem that others could not. Come to find out we had a piece of 2” pvc pipe lodged about 12 ft into our main drain (not the easiest thing to fish out). Very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and affordable. I don’t write many reviews, but I would highly recommend Les to anyone experiencing drain issues.

We called requesting a quote on several items that needed repair including a new faucet installation. Les was prompt, professional, task oriented. He arrived later in the day (about the end of the work day for most of us 5:30 pm). He identified issues, provided thorough explanations and useful how tos for items we inquired about that were not part of the original scope. His quote was fair and reasonable. When we asked to be placed on his schedule (we already had most of the material on hand), he offered without hesitation (even after we indicated he could do it another day) to start work immediately and completed the job timely and to our satisfaction. We were extrememly lucky to have hit a lull in his schedule; it was late in the day and it would have been easy to schedule it for another day. This was an efficient use of his time (since he was already there) and he also used it as an opportunity to render excellent customer service. We had to turn our house water off due to a broken faucet, in the middle of Christmas week with everyone home! After trying to find a plumber who could come quicker than 4 days later, I called Les, who was on his way to a job but who could come right after that! He arrived before his scheduled time and ended up also having to put an access hole in the wall to fix the plumbing. He did a great job, and we were all excited to have the water back on! Les was personable, professional, efficient, and a hard worker. He left at 4 and still had 2 other jobs, but he didnt complain and seems to enjoy his work and helping people. I found out my sewer drain was getting clogged on Saturday, but was encouraged not to pay for a 24 hour service if I could wait. I called Butlers and got a time set for Monday, and Les did a great job cleaning out my drain. Because there were a lot of roots, he needed some bigger equipment, but he still did the job for his base rate. His standard camera inspection was great, too, as it leaves no question about the state of my drain tile. Butlers also has a year warranty on tree roots, which gives me peace of mind.

I asked him how much the charge would be just for coming out to my home and taking a look at the pipe and he said the charge is nothing, and I could not believe it. Truly excellent service and honesty in this day and age is hard to find.

Bulters Rooter, LLC is terrific and if you are lucky enough to find this company, then congratulations. Les does a great job and has a great work ethic. Work is also guaranteed for a year. He will go above and beyond for a customer. First of all, he is available so you dont have to wait forever. His work is tremendous and he doesnt leave you with a mess to clean up afterwards. He is able to fix all sorts of plumbing issues but in my case, it was the evil kitchen faucet that was demonstrating water hammer at age 23 years old. In trying to let air out of the hot water valve, I broke the gasket, so swell, up came dirty water and loss of water pressure. Les came out and replaced the gasket. It was my decision to replace the elderly faucet as it was leaking all around the base anyway, and Les agreed. The new Tuscany faucet had tiny scratches and a chip on the top, and Les was honorable, swapping it out for a Moen faucet with a dull finish so as to be durable. Someone else might not have been so helpful and for this, his time, his ability, and his work ethic, I am very grateful and appreciative. Thank you, Les!!
