I’ve learned to get 3 estimates for any home projects from previous bad experiences. This time I needed my sewer line inspected due to fecal smell seeping throughout the house every other day and I called a local chain company who inspected and gave me an estimate of thousands of dollars that included invasive work. Luckily I got a referral from a reputable company that was doing work around the house and highly recommended PHD plumbing and drain services both Mr. Chacon and his young apprentice were extremely professional. He inspected the issue at hand and reassured me that all we needed was a p-trap that was never installed when the laundry room sink was installed almost 7 years ago, first he troubleshoot the problem by telling me to cover the drain hole with tape and call him back in 3-4 days to update him with the smell, once they came and tackle the problem I also added a bathroom sink installation that also needed all the drain pipes and an outdoor drain PVC for my HVAC unit that was draining by the side of the house along with the stinky smell. Their work was clean, efficient and extremely professional, we also consulted with Mr. Chacon about installing an outdoor shower and an outdoor sink (lavadero) which he assured us that we would gladly assist us with that and to reach out when we are ready. I truly cannot express enough of how happy we were with their services and would tell anyone not to bother with anyone else and waste your money for something that wasn’t even needed. I had a gas line that needed to be replaced at home. I had used PHD. once before for a much smaller job. So I decided to use them again. Rafael came out last week and gave me an estimate that seemed fair. So we both decided that Monday 4/1 would work for both of us he said he would be at my home for 8:30am. He showed up at exactly 8:30am he replaced the line quickly answering all of me and my wife’s questions. He cleaned everything up and even check another gas line for leaks. This plumber was very prompt on calling me and setting up a time when he could be at my home, I did not have to call him to get a quote. He arrived at my home promptly at the time he said he would be there. Once he checked out the problems I had with my bath room toilets and shower. He suggested that he could repair the existing toilets, which would be the lowest cost or install new toilets that I had standard parts that I could replace myself. My toilets were (7) years old so I decided to have the toilets replaced. The plumber was very polite and professional. He cleaned up his work area and hauled away the old toilets. Highly recommend Rafael, he was knowledgeable, kind and professional - and most of all, honest. He quoted us a price range to fix our broken pipe and when it was all said and done he charged us less - he could easily have stayed at the price we agreed to, or even charged us more and we’d never know the difference. He also called to inform us the price of the water heater we agreed to had gone up- someone else may have just switched us out for the more expensive model but he made sure to be transparent rather than surprising us with a bill after it was over. We just bought a home and have lots of projects, and so many people I call either never call back, or answer their phone like it’s a horrible inconvenience that I have the audacity to bother them. PHD Plumbing responded promptly to our late afternoon Water Heater emergency. They came right away, shut-off the water heater and water to it that night, and came here the next morning with the new water heater. They didnt even complain when they had to go in my attic (the water heater was at the other end of my house from the stairs) in this 90+ degree weather in August, to remove and replace the units. All that, and then unclogging a bathroom sink in the meantime! All this and I still had a smile on my face when he left! Highly recommended.
