Bob has been excellent to work with. We have an older house (almost 100 years old). We needed to upgrade from 100Amp to 200Amp service, a new breaker box. We wanted indoor and outdoor outlets installed. We also didnt have any overhead lighting in our living room so we wanted recessed lighting. Given that our house is old and full of plaster, we were worried that there would be tons of demo/plaster work. Bob did the lights with ZERO plaster repair needed. He was reasonably priced and I appreciated that the person who gives you the quote is the same person doing the work. He communicated well and worked very efficiently. We plan to have him back out for more work in the next year, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Have now used Arlington Electric twice for work on our home. House was built in 1930s and has had lots of revisions and additions over the years making jobs more challenging than they could be. Bob has been up for the challenge each time. Very good communication about timing and expectations. Estimates and pricing clear and upfront so there are no surprises. While I hope we don’t need more work, I’m happy that we now have a trusted electrician that we can count on for quality service.

I was pleasantly surprised when there was no drywall to be repaired after having gone through the garage wall to the basement. Excellent experience from start to finish.I contacted Bob for advice on replacing a known hazardous electrical panel in our new house. He talked me through multiple options and several questions I had. His plan seemed safer than a competing quote and at a reasonable price. It was clear he wasnt trying to upsell any flashy upgrades that didnt make sense for our situation, but focused on cost-effective updates that would make our house safer.Once work began he provided an estimated schedule of work that he consistently met or exceeded. Weve now used this company for multiple jobs and they continue to do excellent work. This time we asked for recessed lighting, our own fan installed that we bought, and some switches. Not only were we able to have this done quickly, it was done exactly the way we hoped, and with some impressive technology. Best of all, it was done with minimal drywall damage so we barely had to repair any holes. Well certainly be using them in the future for any electrical work.

My wife and I just purchased a 100 year old house in Grandview, that required a laundry list of various electrical tasks completed, to make it livable. Very highly recommend Bob and Arlington Electric. Bobs work is superior. Bob installed six recessed lights in our front room that desperately needed ceiling lighting, added a light switch, and wired and installed two ceiling fans in one day. We had a fantastic experience with Bob at Arlington Electric. A recent flood in hour house caused us to expose some electrical issues in our basement. We also decided to use the opportunity to swap out all our lighting in the basement for LED can lights. Bob was quick to respond to the request. He installed 15 lights in a day and a half plus fixed our other issues. He even had the thoughtfulness to set the LEDs to different settings based on the applications of the space. Bob was wonderful! He was professional and took appropriate safety measures regarding Covid. Bob quickly diagnosed an extremely hazardous issue with an incorrectly wired light switch, and he performed thorough testing throughout the house to determine the extent of the issue. He spent time explaining the problem and how he was going to fix it in a way that was understandable to the common person. It’s a relief to know that the problem has been fixed and we are more safe in our home now. We would certainly use him again for any future needs and recommend him to anyone needing electrical work.

While here, he replaced faulty fixtures, installed new outlets, switched out old wobbly ones and found easy fixes for outside wiring.I have already asked him to return to move coaxial cable to another room. Pricing is on the higher end but reasonable given Bob’s level of expertise, professionalism and – these days-willingness to wear a mask in my house.

Absolutely believe all of the reviews for Arlington Electric. I found Bob via a Google Maps search for a local electrician and had never seen a merchant or service with all 5-star reviews. I decided to give him a call and had my estimate within a day. The install was for a new electrical line for a vintage chandelier. We were expecting some hiccups along the way since the chandelier had been sitting in a box for a few years, as well as some general architectural design issues with our house that we had experienced with previous home improvement projects. The hiccups were present, and Bob handled everything with grace and professionalism, while keeping us in the loop during the entire install. Exceptional service! We have multiple additional electrical projects in the hopper and will definitely call him again.

My husband and I have used Bob from Arlington Electric on several occasions and have been very pleased with the service!First we used him for a garbage disposal switch that sparked and had to be held up hard for the garbage disposal to be turned on. He fixed this, tested it for safety, and while he was at it, saw some outlets that should have been GFCI but were not so he went out, got the parts, and replaced those too!Then we used him to route wires from our mounted tv through the wall so no wires would show. The in-wall pipes were PVC pips (not what you want to use in your wall, 90 degree turns in narror pipes don’t work). After we tried for HOURS unsuccessful, Bob was able to put together a contraption to vacuum a small plastic balloon attached to our wires to get the cords through!We also used him to re-route electric lighting in our basement to a light switch so we didn’t have to walk through the dark, unfinished basement to turn on lights. And most recently he helped us check our main floor lights on dimmer switches to see if the dimmers were LED compatible and see if the affected lights were LED or not.I have complete confidence in his abilities to take care of any electric needs quickly and safely. In a 100-year old house I needed someone that I could trust to not take short cuts or compromise on safety and that’s what I like best about Bob!

Not only was he able to establish the confidence with the tools he presented ( a circuit tracing tool that was amazing) but also on display was how direct he was when it comes to what our issue actually was. I asked a few more questions pertaining to future projects and he was quick to reply with tips and what to do/not to do. The overall impression that I got was that he is there to provide a service, not to pull as many dollars as possible out of a job. We have definitely found our “go to guy” when it comes to residential electric needs.

I had Arlington Electric do multiple projects at my home in German Village. They added lighting controls to my exterior lights to make them automatic. Then they cleaned up a bunch of loose hanging wires and added lights to my dark basement, and also added an outlet behind my TV so the cords were hidden. They also fixed some outlets that werent working in my bedroom and changed out some track lights. I also had them fix my electric floor heating controller which hadnt worked since it was installed. They were quick to respond and kept in communication with me constantly with my options and any issues they found -- sending me pictures. Im super happy with the cleanliness, timeliness and I definitely plan to use them for any future electrical projects.
