    Tried to replace a GFI outlet in the back splash in the kitchen of our 1952 house. After removing the face plate and pulling out the outlet, I find a baby lizard skeleton. It is original wiring, all black wires covered in fabric. The wire were cut exact, no extra wire to pull outlet some to work with it better. Lost track of wires, connected new outlet and popped the breaker, tried checking for line wire. Tried another pattern of connections and popped breaker again.Waited for Mr. E to open Monday to set up appointment. We wanted to add another outlet at the other end of the counter. Scheduled service call for Tuesday 10am-12pm Lee came out, gave us the estimate of $736.13. We scheduled for 2pm-4pm Wednesday and paid half as deposit.Received call from Mr. E, they were down an electrician and running behind. We informed them that was fine we had no plans. They arrived around 5pm and finished a little after 6pm. Wife and I were pleased with the work. This is the second time we have used Mr. E, and will use them in the future.

    I hired Mr. Electric to install a backup-generator transfer switch and the corresponding outdoor outlet for the backup generator. The installation was conveniently set up for a Saturday so I didnt have to take time off work. They came on-time and were very attentive and answered all my questions about the installation. The install was done very professionally and neat. The new transfer switch sub-panel looks like it came with the house. After the install, they tested the transfer switch with my generator. They showed me how to switch from utility power to generator power. They also tested that each of the selected circuits worked correctly on either utility or generator power. I was very impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. I definitely recommend Mr. Electric and plan to use them again on any future electric projects.

    Review of Mr. Electric of Columbus, GAOn Friday, 3/30/2024, we began experiencing issues with some electrical items, i.e., microwave, A/C unit, washer/dryer, hot water heater, vacuum cleaner, and some lights. The dryer was going through all of the cycles, but was not heating in order to dry the clothes. The A/C unit was “blowing”, but was not cooling. The microwave light was on and the plate was rotating, but it was not heating food. Some lights would “flicker” and even go out when different appliances were used.The Georgia Power Company came to our home on 3/30/2024 and again on 3/31/2024, to determine if the issue was on their end or our end. I was informed by two of their technicians that the issue was on our side and that our home was not getting full power. The breaker box component on the outside pole had to be replaced. I informed all of the electrical contractors I spoke to as to the issue Georgia Power Company had determined. Despite knowing what the issue was, the electrical contractors I spoke with would not return my calls or were booking appointments two or more weeks out! We could not cook, wash/dry clothes, or even have hot water to wash our hands.This same day, we received a return call from CiCi with Mr. Electric of Columbus and was able to schedule an appointment for Friday, 4/5/2024. Pedro F. Santiago, Luis Santiago, and Luis B. arrived promptly as scheduled and began accessing this issue immediately. Pedro had the same findings as the Georgia Power Company. The power coming to the pole/breaker box registered 247, but the power going out to our home registered at only 1! Pedro explained, in detail, what repairs were required in order to get full power to our home and to alleviate our fear of a possible fire in our home. Pedro’s main focus was to ensure our safety and peace of mind. Pedro took care of obtaining the permits from Harris County, GA, coordinating a date and time with the Georgia Power Company to cut off the power for the repairs to be done and back on afterwards, and kept in constant contact regarding this process. Pedro provided contact telephone numbers so we would be able to reach him if there were any other problems at any time of the day or night. On April 12, 2024, Pedro completed the repairs, which included a new pole and a new outside breaker box that meets with current county regulations. He also installed a surge protector for the entire household!On Friday, April 19, 2024, Pedro and Lee arrived at our home to move the security light to the new pole in order for us to have an ample light source for the safety of our “fur babies”. Moving the security light was not in our original agreement, but Pedro wanted to ensure we were content with the repairs and were safe in our home. After Lee completed this aspect of the project, he cleaned the entire work area and removed all of the debris. It was as if they were never there at all.I think the main points that stand out about this company are their knowledge, their care and concern for the safety of their clients, and making sure that their clients are satisfied with the job. I also think Mr. Electric of Columbus goes above and beyond to ensure their clients are constantly kept up to date with the job and have a way to contact them if there is a problem. If there is an issue with another project that results in an arrival delay, both the office staff and Pedro will contact you.If you are looking for a company that focuses on safety, communication, and client satisfaction, there is no need to look any further as Mr. Electric of Columbus is the one.

    I cannot be more grateful to the employees here. Specifically Ms. Cici and Mr. Alejandro. I called them after going through 12 different electricians who were unable to come out and was immediately hit with relief. I lost power to my room specifically. I dont have central heat & air so I rely on a little heater. I couldnt use my computer for work. I had no internet. It was a disaster. But she dispatched Alejandro and he got here quickly and fixed the problem in under than 30 min. Thank you guys so much! 10/10 experience.

    They were very professional and caring. My panel had to be upgraded so I didn’t have power the full day. They bought a generator in case I need to warm up food etc. They owner also came by afterwards to check up on things but the most outstanding thing to me was the wife. She went above and beyond to make sure we were ok (I have a 5 month old) because it took Ga Power FOREVER to come back to turn the power back on and it was SUPER cold that day. She even called the next day to make sure everything was working and we didn’t need anymore help. That was the best customer service I have ever received. Definitely recommend them. Worth the money.

    Chose this company as the other popular and best reviewed electric co in Columbus is not taking on new clients. I set up an appointment to have wiring in dishwasher looked at, they ran behind their scheduled appt time, and I was waiting. Luckily, the owner is a man of integrity and he stopped by my house himself to ensure we got taken care of due to miscommunication. He did this all without charging a service fee.     One of the great qualities I like about Luis, Luis and Javier is their patience. Sometimes people change their mind when they execute a vision. Im one of those people. I had chosen to have yellow colored recessed lights installed on my front porch and white recessed lights on the other parts of my house. Although it looked great, my wife and I changed our minds and decided to go with the white recessed lights for the entire front exterior instead. Luis was happy to make the change and came out the same day that I told them I had wanted to make the change.     A great company who values their customers safety and time. They send an email with the technicians picture so you know who to expect when they knock on your door for your appointment. They explain everything they need to do and why, so you feel assured they are doing quality work. Weve had them come to our 70+ year old home a few times, and we usually ask for Jonathan to come because hes knowledgeable about our older homes quirky wiring. However, one day Jonathan was sick and was unable to come. Instead of just rescheduling our appointment, the owner himself came to our house to honor the appointment. I was touched that the company values their clients time, even if it means the owner has to cover employee illness. Mr. Electric is our go-to for all our electrical needs.

I understand that mistakes do happen and it was just a series of unfortunate events that led to my original review.Original 1-Star Review:Javier came out to inspect our equipment and write up a quote for what we needed. He told me hed send it over by the end of the next business day. 2+ weeks later I called and told the receptionist that I never received the quote and she assured me Id have it by the end of the day. That was last week and I still dont have the quote or any other communication from them. My conclusion is they dont want our business.

    Weve had Mr electric out to check out our breaker box. We had a plumber tell us that our hot water heater was on the same breaker as our HVAC. Mr . Electric came out. They started by doing a thorough inspection. Which made perfect sense to me because it had never been done on my 1964 house. How else would they fully know what they where dealing with. Well worth the $177 spent. They where so, professional, knowledgeable, and honest. They tested and showed me where my hot water heater was on its own breaker as well as my HVAC. They pointed out a few not urgent things and gave me a firm quote on a ceiling fan install for when we where ready. Ms. Alondra was very nice and thorough. We then purchased a ceiling fan and Tory was very courteous, knowledgeable, and had our old light turned into our new ceiling fan quickly. In all we have a permanent electrician!

    I needed an electrician, so I Googled the top ten electricians in Columbus. Mr. Electric of Columbus, GA was the first on the list so I contacted them. Best decision I could have made! Pedro came out, assessed the damage, and gave me a written estimate. However, once the panel was opened up, there was more damage than could visibly be seen from the outside. So it had to be replaced. The additional cost was reasonable. Within two hours, we had lights. Also, while they were there, I asked who installs water heaters, an electrician, or a plumber. I was surprised to hear them say that they could do it. I also hired them to replace the water heater. I dont think theres anything this company cant do with the resources they have available. The technicians are highly skilled, very professional, and courteous. I live in Columbia, South Carolina so I gave my sister their business cards and told her to call only Mr. Electric of Columbus, GA for any repairs needed for mom’s house. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MR. ELECTRIC OF COLUMBUS, GA.
