I had a line of outlets and lights go out and it didnt trip the circuit breaker. So we called Safe Electric and Plumbing and Jack Wander came out and found out that we had a bunch of loose wiring, some outlets, and a breaker switch that needed to be replaced. We were so pleased with the service and results of working with Jack, that we asked him to come back and install another breaker switch and line to divide everything on the one breaker switch. Jack brought his apprentice Cory and they did a wonderful job. They were incredibly kind, respectful, patient and thorough. I cant recommend them enough. Great experience, great service, great results.

I called on Wednesday later in the day and Brendan came out the same day when we were having an electrical issue and quickly determined the issue. Brendan was knowledgeable, and explained everything. He came back out today to correct the issue by installing a new panel and other things pertaining to the panel. I appreciate Brendan and his team member that assisted today. In addition, i appreciate Safe Electric and would recommend to anyone looking for electrical service. It’s great to feel safe at my home again!

I had my electric panel upgraded along with numerous additional electrical work throughout the house. I am very pleased with the work done by Safe Electric. The quoting process was very thorough, and everything was well-explained to me. The work itself was scheduled really quickly. They included everything that was quoted, in addition to a couple of extra safety features, up-to-code items, and even a few bonus fixture installations (that I had on-hand already). All three team members I worked with were very professional. This wasnt the lowest bid I had, but I felt comfortable with this company and Im confident in the work that was done. I feel the value for safety and updating in an older house was worth it. I would use Safe Electric again.

The gas valve on our old home-center 40-gallon water heater failed last Thursday, so I called Safe Electric and Plumbing and they sent Blake to our house the same afternoon. Blake is a real professional: pleasant, a clear communicator, and respectful of our property, pets, and privacy.I already knew that parts were unavailable for the old unit, so replacement was the only option. Blake also pointed out several Code violations with the previous owners DIY install (no drip pan, plastic water lines, saddle valve for humidifier line, obsolete gas shutoff, no expansion tank). He prepared quotes for tankless, 40-gallon, and 50-gallon units, and we chose the 40. He went out for parts, came back and worked until 9:00 at night, thoroughly cleaned up the work area, explained the work he did, and finished up the paperwork.What I like about Safe Electric and Plumbing:- Communications: both the dispatcher and Blake made sure I knew what was going on and what to expect at all times: texts, calls, and documentation were all excellent and explanations were crystal clear.- Same-day repair: I really wasnt expecting that!- Three options, at different price points: no take it or leave it.- Flat-rate pricing: Blake had to do some unexpected duct work that required an extra part and more than an hour of work, at no extra charge.- Electrical and plumbing work from one provider: our 70-year-old house has a few electrical and plumbing issues, so Safes service plan (free annual inspection, priority scheduling, discounts on work) made a lot of sense for us.- High standards of work: Blakes truck was new and spotless, his tools and parts were all premium brands, and his work was careful and rock-solid. This is clearly a company that helps their employees do their best work.

Jack did a wonderful job today. Explained everything he was doing and found during the exam. We ask him if he could put up a ceiling fan we have had for about 6 months because the husband was not comfortable with doing it. He did a wonderful job on it. This is the 2nd time we have used Safe Electric and it will not he the last.

Kyle worked on our house in March late at night when our power went out due to an issue with our wiring. Our house is very old (100 yrs old) and this was not an issue for him. We are very pleased with our service.

At 4 PM on a hot fall day, a power surge destroyed my meter box and fried the main panel, leaving our household—full of elderly residents—without power or A/C. Mr. Fischer arrived promptly, thoroughly diagnosed the extent of the damage, and explained all my options clearly.We were in desperate need of power restoration, and despite it being late in the workday, Calib took on the challenge without hesitation. He provided a fair quote and worked tirelessly to complete the job, even bringing in additional resources to ensure it was finished. His dedication to his craft and work ethic are truly commendable. I highly recommend him for any electrical or plumbing needs!

I was greeted on the phone by Josh who made me smile just hearing his cheerful voice.I had an outage that turned into replacing the circuit breaker and all plugs and switches in our home.Rhett is the best! He is professional and courteous. He explained what needed to be done and provided all available options. Im extremely satisfied with Safe Electric and their employees. I will definitely recommend them.Update 12/10/2024I continue to use Safe Electric for all things electrical. They have replaced our outdated breaker box, replaced all outlets and switches. Rhett is my guy, and I always request him because he knows our home. He has also replaced old light fixtures throughout our house. Today he placed the new light in one of our bathrooms. I have more upgrades in the future and I only want Safe Electric to do it.

Jack was very cordial and kind coming through the door. He was very honest on what was needed to correct the issue and provided all options available to remedy the issue. The issue was half the electrical was out in our house. This happened overnight on 1/8/25. In the early morning I then saw the reviews of Safe Electric and Plumbing and decided to give them a shot. They got me an appointment right away at 9am with Jack. I explained that the electrical that was out was negatively effecting/turned off our furnace and WiFi along with other electrical outputs in the downstairs of the house. After running the diagnostic check Jack realized that the issue was through AEP as a leg was out. In the end, he contacted AEP to report the issue and to AEP’s credit they were out in an hour once the ticket was sent. Our electrical was severely outdated and as AEP fixed their side of the issue Jack upgraded our electrical to fit our family’s needs compared to the outdated electrical we had in place at a reasonable price. Jack was great! Got the job done as planned and made sure we all had peace of mind with the quality of the work done by him. Our family used to have a good friend/handy man for everything we needed fixed around the household but he recently retired so we’ve been looking for a trustworthy company and electrician for our household fixtures and Jack & Safe Electrical and Plumbing had done just that. They will be our company for our electrical and plumbing needs in the future. Thank you for the job well done professionally and quickly.

By far, this was one of best decisions I have ever made for home repairs. They put me on schedule for the same day! Garrett and Sean helped us on a very large project. We added 8 flush lights, a new fan, 2 new chandeliers, 5 new flush mounted lights and converted 18 can lights into flush led lights. A ton of work requiring scaffolding, hard work and the unknown with an older home electrical work. They both did great work and we couldnt be happier our home is finally well lit and looking awesome. They came out inspected our leaky mstr shower head & our expansion tank on the water heater, and they were able to fix both items in a few hours. JD & Lo were super friendly & personable & would welcome them back into our home for any of our plumbing needs. Thanks for the awesome service. Due to my work schedule, I have a short window for services to come to my house. On a Sunday night, I submitted a request online for hot tub wiring installation and listed my time restraints. The following Monday, I received a phone call that was very informative.There was an initial fee for the person to come to the house and I was also able to have same day work be performed. Having agreed to the fee, I was able to have a technician out to my house that following Wednesday in the morning.The technician that arrived to my house was Eric D. He was professional, knowledgable, and very friendly. Upon arrival, Eric inspected my electrical panel. He informed me of issues that could be upgraded, but not pressing due to the box being grandfathered in. He also advised that he can help give info on any future projects I may have. One project I asked him about was for a bathroom exhaust fan. We went to my future project, Eric showed me where my neutral wire was buried and then how to finish the wiring using a pigtail.For the hot tub wiring, my existing panel used Class RK5 fuses and had wire that was not in conduit. My panel was replaced and used a circuit breaker. I was given the option to use my existing wire to be installed in the conduit to save money, but the wire would not be under warranty. I went with the new wire to be installed to keep the whole line under the warranty.I would highly recommend use Safe Electric and will definitely not hesitate to call them again.

Rhet and his supporting technician were very professional and knowledgeable. They gave me the estimate and explained it well to install an EV home charger for car. When I set the appointment, however, I dont remember the operator telling me that it is not a free estimate and that there is a trip charge of $70.Other than that, I am satisfied with their proposal. I am still reviewing the cost because the estimate ranged from $3K to $5K for different options and upgrades.

Safe Electric was awesome! Chris & Cade installed a ceiling fan on our 13’ vaulted, slanted ceiling. Chris had to work his way through a lot of blown-in insulation and even checked for attic access before starting on the job. The old electrical box was plastic and was cracked almost all the way across. They replaced the plastic box with a metal one and secured the box to an expandable rod between the ceiling joists. It was a lot of work in a very small space, only wide enough for an arm to access. Chris was patient and persevered and we have the most awesome ceiling fan now! Both Chris and Cade were highly professional, pleasant and took the time to explain what was going on and how it all would work. They cleaned up all the expelled insulation and all areas around the work site; they even hauled away the old light fixture! This is our second time using Safe Electric and we will definitely call them for all our electrical needs; we won’t use anyone else! We highly recommend Safe Electric, Chris and Cade!! During a recent heat wave in Columbus, my wife and I woke up and the power was not working in our home. We called Safe Electric and they were able to send someone out the to evaluate our home within hours of calling. Within 24 hours, they were able to get a team in to replace and upgrade our electric system, which was very much appreciated given the heat wave. Tom was thorough in diagnosing the issue with our 100+ year old home and planning the resolution, which happened to be mixed wiring with knob and tube. When it came time for installation of our upgraded panel and entire home rewire we were gifted the talents of installer Jack W. who listened to all of our concerns and addressed them with high emotional intelligence and professionalism. Jack, Chris, Juice, Carmela and Ben worked efficiently (in extreme heat) and with ample communication to ensure they left us with above-code electrical wiring throughout our home (+minimal damage to our walls). That lead to some other concerns and we had an excellent team working with us. We agreed to the bill which was hefty for us but included 5 projects including several outlets, adjustments and a whole-house surge protector added to the box!To any working caregivers, I worked the day of the project installation and, as it turns out, my partner who has dementia, was unable to fully communicate issues so I was needed to answer something. On any other day at work my lack of cell access would likely have not been an issue. But for work, I was out of town to the Farm Science Review (just outside of Columbus) but I could not text or make a call when I could see them calling. The OSHP said they were having trouble too except for their internal lines. Seemed no one could call for me! I was so frustrated and I made the staff frustrated too I imagine but NO ONE treated me badly for it. After 2 hours of trying to stay at work and call them, I left and it all worked out - luckily. I am adding this in case this happens to you and to make businesses who work in peoples homes more aware of the weird complications of life that happen. Now, as a caregiver, I work to anticipate such problems with my schedule and locations. Probably never happen again but wanted to share the lesson learned.Great work from SEP - after all of that they had to come out to fix the dryer when, all along, it was my user error at the box! Thankfully a small problem to address but, again, all done with no added cost and all with a smile. Thank you, SEP.

After being very satisfied with previous electrical work by Ed at Safe Electric, we contacted them again regarding the installation of a 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug in our garage (typically known as an electric dryer plug). We also requested they install an RV electrical box, just like the ones at the campgrounds for our RV that is parked on the side of the garage and to accommodate any RV visitors. Ed provided an estimate and also recommended the installation of a surge protector since our detached garages electrical comes from buried electrical lines from our homes basement some distance away. The only other surge protector is on the opposite side of the house (at another basement panel). Recently, Ed and Kyle came out, crawled around in the garages attic space, fished wire through the walls, etc, etc. The installation is VERY clean and professional. We now have the 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug inside the garage between two of the parking spots so it can be used from either spot (wiring is ALL inside the wall). We have a full RV box on the side of the garage. It has a 30 amp/120 volt regular plug, just like the ones in the house, another 30 amp/240 volt dryer plug for small or medium size RVs (or, for an electric vehicle that wont fit in the garage) and the 50 amp/240 volt plug for the BIG RV visitors. Finally, Ed and Kyle added a surge protector in the garage wall, just below the electrical panel. GREAT JOB, Ed and Kyle! Thank you! Looks great and we are already using some of the plugs! We used Safe Electric for a fan installation on our 18ft vaulted ceiling with no existing fan box. After months of trying we were beginning to lose hope as it had been near impossible to even get a call back from most places. However, within 24 hours of calling Safe Electric, Zack and Jack were at my door. After reviewing the work they provided me with an estimate and a week later the fan was installed. Zack and Jack did a great job on the installation which only took a few hours and the work was completed with minimal drywall damage. If Im being honest I have no idea if we got a good deal or not because as I previously mentioned I couldnt even get a call back for an estimate from other places, but Zack and Jack were responsive, considerate and very professional so I was more than happy to give Safe Electric my business and would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Safe Electric was able to set up a diagnostic appointment quickly, and then an appointment when it was discovered we had too much running from our breaker box/needed various other fixes. Our technician Adam was very helpful and professional and outlined all of the work needed, options for fixes, etc. I felt he was up front amd honest about what was needed at each point. Well definitely use them in the future.UPDATE: We noticed our garage heater wasnt working after the appointment and called (4pm the next day). Safe Electric sent our technician Adam back the next morning at 9am! He checked the breaker box etc again and fixed the issue very quickly, and again encouraged us to let him know if we noticed anything else. We werent charged and he checked several other things to be sure the fix worked.Very happy with how quickly they corrected the issue and again with how friendly and professional Adam was. Some repair companies make you feel stupid for calling back with a concern/imply youre wrong, but Safe Electric listened to our concern and simply fixed it quickly!

During summer 2021 I began planning for the installation of a mini-split unit for an all season room without any air conditioning or heating. I selected Custom Air, Columbus, Ohio, to install a Mitsubishi mini-split unit, but I had to find an electrician to provide 240 volt service to the exterior wall of the room. I contacted seven electrical companies for estimates, a couple did not show up at the arranged time. I ultimately received five estimates, Safe Electric was one of the more expensive (not the most expensive), but Ed spent more time than any other electrician carefully looking over the project and then provided the most detailed estimate that was all inclusive. Some companies had provided very general estimates that included language saying things like, ...additional required materials and time to be paid for by the property owner. Ed installed the wiring in 90 feet of metal (not plastic) pipe that he bent (with a pipe bending tool) to perfectly fit snugly under the eave of the roof. The sections of pipe were connected with waterproof fittings. The entire installation was very professional and is does not detract from the homes exterior appearance. The Countys Building Inspector was very impressed with the entire installation. Please see the attached four photos. Three photos show how snugly Ed tucked away the metal pipe containing the 240 volt electrical wiring. I drew in a red line showing the path of the pipe because it can be difficult to see. The forth photo is of one of the water tight fittings where the sections of pipe are connected.

He led our big knob and tube removal/replacement project — troubleshooting and problem solving a mixture of old and new wiring in our 1920’s house — and came back to ensure a couple outlets were working as expected (they were). Let me begin this review by saying that we cannot recommend Safe Electric enough – we will absolutely be hiring them again in the future for our electrical needs!We recently purchased a flipped home over the summer that had never truly been taken care of and this was made obvious as we began the electrical work needed to create a safe living space. We originally put in a request for outlets to be upgraded from 2-prong to 3-prong, so Erik Stump and Marcus Lyles came to our house to provide a quote. Erik and Marcus were incredibly friendly, professional, and patient with us (mainly our dog who wouldn’t stop barking at the shoe covers they were wearing). Unlike so many other companies who will not review an entire electrical system before beginning a project to make sure things are safe, they reviewed not only our request but also dug further into the multitude of electrical issues that we were about to learn about.Upon review, Erik discovered our meter was a fire hazard and needed to be replaced immediately, our main panel was not installed correctly by the contractors who renovated the house before we bought it (go figure a cabinetry company shouldn’t install electrical panels…), and the list kept growing… Obviously, we were shocked by this information, since our home inspector missed all of this, but Erik did a great job explaining each problem, and how it could be remedied, and then went into details about the different packages Safe Electric offers, on top of a subscription plan the company offers to help save us money for this project as well as future projects. This quickly went from a small project to a multiple-day project where Erik and Marcus spent hours fixing the problems in our home, including more issues that came up as the projects progressed. They were also flexible enough to add more as we asked for some lights to be upgraded and fans installed.I simply cannot say enough – for your electrical needs, hire Safe Electric. The customer service, knowledge, and professionalism are worth every penny to us. We can finally feel safe in our house! A massive thank you to Erik, Marcus, Brendon, and Joel.
