All in all, the work that was done was great. A few reasons for 4/5 stars are, 1. They are kinda pricey, I wish I wouldve done a little more research, but, it is what it is. 2. All 3 appointments started between 1-2 hours late, not the worst thing in the world, just have a little extra time slotted for it. 3. You will have to finish your own drywall. They patch it, but not that great of a job. For the price and how often they have to patch holes in walls, I feel like it coulda been done a little better. Technicians were respectful to my house. Fixed anything they did. They did say I would have to sand and paint, just wasnt expecting a full extra job in doing that, I thought it would be just a little touch up.. Final thoughts tho, I am satisfied with the work completed. I had a dryer outlet replace from 3 to 4 prong, a GFCI box installed under my sink for the dishwasher and disposal, a line ran for a fan, and they installed the fan to include the switches for it.

The team that did the work was incredibly professional, informative, and personable. They left no trail except for my awesome new A/C and heating system that Im already thrilled with and they only just left. The lead tech walked me through the work they did, explained the unit and even assisted in getting my devices connected to my app. Absolutely would recommend this company. Every interaction has been professional and pleasant!

I called to book an appt because our AC unit was not working properly and they came out the same day. The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable and let us know instead of spending money on parts for an over 20 year old HVAC unit it would be better to spend on new unit so we ended up getting a new unit installed the very next day and they were very efficient and in no time it was done. I would highly recommend them to anyone .

Awesome technician!! Open and honest during the inspection. Chris provided a through inspection, shared some recommendations/options, and then looked up the replacement parts for us. He was not a push technician trying to be a salesman!! Thats what we really liked. He even found the exact unit we wanted for a reasonable price that includes the labor price.The company has changed a lot from past experiences!!

Service call for a faulty component replaced under warranty. Was able to schedule the day after calling. Our technician Henry was awesome. He was efficient knowledgeable and even drove to the parts supplier to get the parts to complete the job in one day. He even made some adjustments to correct errors made during installation ( by the same company but different crew) which hopefully prevent part failure again.4stars only because of the initial installation error.

He was very professional, easy to discuss the items on the inspection list, and provided me with the necessary estimate and scope of the work. As a an added plus the service tech is a Veteran, so I appreciated his professional approach and work ethic. Overall, an outstanding job by Russells American Mechanical team! I know it can be challenging to find a quality HVAC company but it all comes down to the staff more than the company itself. I recently had Darryl come out to troubleshoot my 6 year old York unit and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and verify the functionality of the entire system. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I highly recommend him and the rest of the team at Russell’s for your HVAC needs in the Hampton Roads area

He was patient and explained what he found and he shared video of what he saw in my attic.He contacted the office efficiently and relayed the problem.As a result the plumber responded quickly.The technician cleaned up water around the area and dispatched a fan to clear up remaining wetness.The plumber was on point and was able to locate the problem and fixed it the same day. As far as the water pressure Going down when I flush the toilet, it is “Probably“ due to the city, Who does not Filter their water and is most likely to form a Dirt clog somewhere in the Water line. Before we do anything drastic like replace the pipes, Which requires accessing the wall And taking drywall off, he suggested giving it some time to clear itself. I truly appreciated that thinking. He checked all the valves and water flow, Etc. Seemed competent.

The replacement part was installed in about 30 minutes. And I learned something, as well.As an aside, Russells serviced two of my neighbors AC units and my closest neighbor suggested they I call them. I was so impressed with the interaction that I arranged for twice-yearly maintenance by them.

Perfect!! Russells called the night before to confirm appointment, the technician Chad called when on his way and arrived when he said he would. Chad was better than excellent. He spent time under house inspecting ductwork where I had issues and ran multiple tests on my HVAC system while explaining to me every step of the way what he was doing. Chad discussed all issues and explained how they can be repaired and the associated costs. The technician Chad was an outstanding representative for Russells Heating and Cooling and I have found talking with scheduling and other representatives that the rest of the company is exactly the same! I will be utilizing them for all my pluming, electrical and HVAC needs in the future.

Omar was a great tech. He ensured everything was running correctly and advised me on options to better my system . I added the air purifier which i get is a lot of money . However I did feel like it was a bit overpriced to paint some sealant on my lines which didn’t t take that long at over a $100 apiece . I feel that could have been done for less , maybe as a package deal. Over $700 to do 7 lines seemed a lot . Other than that I was pleased.

Neil, Russell technical, proved himself to be a highly knowledgeable and skilled geothermal system technician. Conducted a thorough inspection and diagnostic of my unit. Quickly located and corrected the source of my “drain” idiot light and the reason I contacted Russel American Mechanical Co. Although my service appointment was late in the day, Neil did not rush this job; explained my problem, remedy to fix it, such that I should not experience a similar reoccurrence and explained the benefits of establishing a maintenance program on my units with Russell. Neil is a good and honest individual.

During our annual HVAC maintenance appointment today it was discovered our home had some duct work issues and repairs are needed. My father is older and hard of hearing and can be grumpy when he feels hes not understanding or being heard. Our tech, JAMES MOORE, was extremely kind and empathetic as well as knowledgeable. He took the time to explain details to my dad so he could understand. And made sure I understood as well so I could assist my dad in deciding how to proceed. He gave us extremely GOOD prices and his customer service skills come naturally!!! Were still deciding, but will 100% ask for James again. I highly recommend Russells. Ask for James Moore too. He is the real deal.

Our water heater went out while out of town. I was going to attempt a DIY when we got back into town. I was able to remove the water heater but I could not install a new one. I called Russells and they were able to come out the same day to do a quote. There were no upselling or weird sales tactics. The sales tech was honest and was even able to make sure we could get it replaced the next day during Thanksgiving week.The guys who did the installation were awesome. Polite, respectful. They were in and out in about 2 hours. They cleaned up nicely before leaving which is always nice. Its nice to see when companies seem to have their stuff together nowadays.Overall my experience with Russells was great. The pricing was fair and honest. I will be calling them in the future for my plumbing needs now.

Corey came out the next day and looked over our system and helped us pick out the best unit for our budget and needs. Hello my name is Sharon Bullock and Id like to share with you my Amazing experience with your company. On Wednesday morning there was a power outage in my area. I didnt realize until that evening that I had no hot water. Well, I Googled what the problem could be and it suggested it could be something as simple as hitting the reset button on the water heater. That didnt work. But, I didnt give up on trying to self diagnose it so I watched a lot more videos. Still no hot water. Fast forward to Friday morning. I figured Id make some breakfast, only to find that my stove wasnt heating. Now, I realized, this cant be a coincidence. Everything was working fine before the outage. I couldnt think of any companies but the Buds Heating and Plumbing. I clearly spoke that name into the microphone to Google it. But, the Universe had other plans because Russells American Mechanical came up. And so, I called them. From the moment the young lady (Christy)I believe answered the phone she was so willing to get me the help I needed. I scheduled an appointment. The earliest was for Saturday. Just a few hours later, I received a call from a technician stating after reviewing the order, that it sounded like it may be an issue with losing a leg of power in which that case, Id have to call Dominion Power. Which I did. They finally sent someone on Saturday afternoon. After checking everything I was informed that nope everything was fine on their end. So, I called back to your company and spoke with Ciara. She said shed get someone out today. I received a call from the technician (David Cole) to inform me hed be to my house shortly. I just want to say..... First off, he was very professional. He was very knowledgeable as an electrician. He checked everything in the circuit breaker and found what eventually would be the problem. However, I now had heat to the stove, but still no hot water. He informed me that he wasnt a plumber, but he checked the water heater and hooked all his gadgets up to it and found that it may be the heating element had gone bad. We had run the water for a few and I did notice a slight change in the temperature. He kept apologizing, saying he wish he could do more, but it just wasnt his expertise. When I say this young man continued (even watching a video that could help), he ended up Fixing the problem. I have hot water Now!! I am so grateful. I even jokingly said, You can now add plumber to your resume. He told me about your maintenance & safety plan. Ill be joining that, All because of him. Thanks again ‼️

The city inspector stated he would rather it be empty however, he would pass it anyway! A mound of backfield was added to the trenched area and lawn and I was told that it will settle. Rich was kind enough to save and bag my hosta plants, and secure a cap to my sewer line. Thank you for going the extra mile.Two small areas in my driveway were refilled with concrete, definitely not $2,000 worth. I pray that American Mechanical Inc. has done their due diligence and this nightmare is over.
