What a great experience with Damon at Roto-Rooter. I had a landscape drain (70) long that was clogged. Damon came out and worked diligently to fix it. He had to dig in several areas to located the clog (which was a damaged 3 section). He then replaced the pipe and left everything in perfect condition. I highly recommend Damon for this type of work.

This is a somewhat mixed review even though I am giving them 5 stars for one technician, Tim Mitchell. We were traveling when our dog sitter notified us that the toilets and drains were backed up of course late at night. A technician came out and worked on the issue which we thought was resolved. Unfortunately, a week later same thing happened while we were traveling home. Contacted Roto rooter as they had just cleared our main line and said new work would be covered. The first technician came out and said everything was working fine and as we had not been home, we proceeded to do laundry, shower etc. Then everything backed up again. Third technician, Tim came out and did a lot of work, and was very informative about our general plumbing. He cleared the clog in the main line and cleaned up everything very well.

We had a toilet clog/overflow which resulted in 10 inches of brown water passing thru the second floor. Called RR at 7:21am and they were here 40 minutes later. They were professional, answered all of our questions, worked with our home insurance provider, cleaned up, put up dehumidifiers, and gave us a plan of action. Then they followed through as planned. We are finishing our first week of the plan and demo has begun. Highly recommend.

Every drain was backed up on St. Patricks day. Starkey came out that day (less than 2 hours after I called) and fixed the immediate problem. He then called out Aaron to use a camera to see what was going on with the pipes.Aaron discussed the options and Chase was able to come out the very next day to work on trying to fix the overall problem. It did take a second job due to our house being old but Chase and Juan were able to complete that on Friday of the same week!Everyone was friendly, service was quick. No charge for Starkey to come out and diagnose the problem, I was only charged with the interventions needed to fix it.

They are all in one it seems for what you need. You make an appointment online and they are on top of it. They have great recommendations for maintenance and did a big job of replacing quite a bit of cast iron pipe. Worth the money. Never could I ever have coordinated all that without them and they inspected on Friday and had the job done by Saturday for a house of 6! We needed it. Thanks all!

The circumstances for why I had to reach out to Roto-Rooter weren’t so great but they really helped me through the process. I finally noticed my toilet leaked and flooded my home on a Thursday, and by Friday they did everything in their power to start the water clean up process. Brian did the initial assessment and Charles and Woods came by for the following week to make sure everything was dry. I had to have a lot of drywall removed and I ended up losing some furniture and they were clear about what was affected and what wasn’t. They helped me to understand what would be happening through the entire process and always left the line of communication open. It’s been a very hard process but they really made it bearable.I can’t help but recommend Roto-Rooter for clean up if your toilet goes rogue like mine did!

We are longtime repeat customers of Roto Rooter here in the Triangle. This time around, Rick McAdams and his whole crew were so helpful to us in a crisis—a broken sewer line under the concrete floor of our unfinished basement.We were a little frustrated that Roto Rooter could not sub out the work to cut/repair the concrete, so we had to engage a whole separate company for that part which added a few weeks to the job (research, contacting, quotes/visits/bids, scheduling) while the corroded sewer pipe was just continuing to ooze into our basement. Our basement kept filling back up with water every time it rained, causing anxiety and additional loss and harm to our property.Definitely not ideal. Cement work would be a great service for RR to add, if only to avoid damaging delays like we experienced.We had similar work done (a local utility breached our same poor sewer line in a different spot) in 2021 and the RR crew was awesome then too.A new addition since then is the water remediation service, which we did not opt for. The tech was somehow absolutely unable to explain what the value of the service was, what it would cost, how we could pay them for it, and he couldn’t get his iPad to function to find these answers. His supervisor got involved and was similarly unhelpful.Even worse, RR sent the same incompetent person back three times to try to sell us on this confusing service during the time the sewer line was still broken and leaking.Logically, a clean-up crew was not needed until after the line repair—as it just kept leaking and making more of a mess—and the water remediation person was unable to offer us some options. We were repeatedly asked to commit to a vague contract of $4K-7K (yup, that was the giant estimated range) on top of the plumbing costs, and no assistance was offered just to initially pump the water out so that the very critical concrete and plumbing work could be done. Nope. Our only option was the huge, vague contract or nothing.It frankly felt like a really inept shakedown while we were backed into a corner. We were told this huge expense would cover a pressure washer (which we have), dehumidifiers (which we have), fans (which we have). How that could cost to up to $7K was not explained, or at least not explained well. We got “well, concrete takes a long time to dry.” No kidding.On top of all that, the water remediation team couldn’t help us figure out how to use an open line of credit we have with the RR partner bank. They added tons of additional stress to an already stressful situation. Every interaction with water remediation was beyond frustrating.Anyway, we finally rented a pump for $150 from Home Depot so we could at least get the space ready for the concrete work, and will look into hiring a separate company for a full cleanup now that the repair is complete.I do want to reiterate that the whole plumbing crew has been so kind, capable, efficient, and communicative about the work needed. Timeline, labor, and costs were clear from jump. Rick went above and beyond to help me on his day off, even. And now we finally have a dry basement!

Aaron Franklin went above and beyond to not only rectify it quickly by coordinating with Town of Cary, but even came out on his day off to do the work that needed to be done ALONE so that we could have water after four days without. Incredible customer service. Will highly recommend.

I came down on a Sunday morning to find our half bath and part of the kitchen flooded from a backed up toilet. Roto-Rooter was one of the few places open. They sent someone out to flush the pipes and then offered to help with water mitigation. Since then, they’ve detected and repaired the faulty pipe removed the damaged flooring. Everyone we’ve encountered has been professional and courteous. They’ve made a hectic process very smooth. We’ve already been recommending them to our friends and neighbors!

My dog chewed through the wall and a water pipe during a thunderstorm, so I came home to water everywhere. They were out in about an hour and a half, fixed the pipe, and actually made a suggestion for an improvement in the location of the pipe, which I took them up on. He answered my questions fully and sent a water restoration specialist out a couple days later to make sure everything was drying out appropriately, which it was. Both people were friendly and professional, and addressed all my concerns. I thought the total price of $300 seemed very reasonable.

My experience with Roto-Rooter was amazing from start to finish. My issue started late one evening and while they did not have a tech in the area, the rep on the phone talked me through some things I could do to prevent any further damage until the tech came in the morning. There was a 4 hr window for the tech to show up and he came after the first hour. It was an easy solution and it took less than an hour to fix. Not only did Carlyle fix what was broken, he did a little preventative maintanence as well. I had plans to go out of town that weekend and while initially I thought I might have to cancel, I managed to stay on schedule despite the unexpected event. Will definitively call Roto-Rooter if I ever have another plumbing issue.

I needed emergency help with a stopped up toilet on a Sunday. I called several plumbers, but Roto Rooter was the only company to actually send someone out. One plumbing company initially claimed to have a technician they could send out, only to call me back to say the plumber could not come until Tuesday. The Roto Rooter technician, Adam, was extremely professional and pleasant. He quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem and cleaned up all the mess. Got another call around 7:45 telling me I could still have a technician come that night, but it would still be a wait. Seeing as I put my toddler down at 7, I asked to reschedule for 2/17 between 12 and 2. The technician arrived at 3:45 and was able to diagnose and fix the issue. I was not home at the time the technician arrived or completed work, but did arrive in time to make my payment. I pulled up the $70 coupon online but the technician questioned its authenticity because he didn’t have his glasses. He also tried to upsell drain cleaner to me which I refused, but he said he could not honor my coupon unless I took the cleaner I didn’t want. Just wanting to be done with this whole process, I agreed to the tune of $500. I am appalled by the level of service, pressure, and lack of care I was provided, and I am envious of the many 5 star reviews posted here, as that was not my experience. I welcome the efforts of the owner to help make this right.

Great experience with everyone. This was my first plumbing emergency so I was nervous about price and how fast someone could get here here solve the issue. Mothers day emergency leak in my crawlspace. Came out very friendly and made the repair after confirming water leak. Alex was the first technician to come out he was very informative and kept me in the know. He gave it every effort and attempt he could before calling in for backup due to small space. Thats when Damon jumped right in there and got covered in old nasty water. He crawled into the unknown through spider webs, dirt, rocks and a really bad smell. Soaking wet and a big smile he said happy to help. He had an apprentice with who was also very friendly and right there to help I wasnt able to remember his name. Thought I had a pipe burst and only saw the water dripping from ceiling around 11pm when I was going to bed. I called one other emergency plumber and they couldnt come out until 2 days later. Roto Rooter said they could come out next morning and someone would call be between 8-9am. I was called a little after 7am and Starkey, their plumber, was at my house before 8am. You do not know how much this meant to me. Starkey stayed until specific problem was identified and he had fixed it. And all during this process he let me know what he was doing and also called their water damage remediation folks to come and and get that process started. Id definitely recommend this company and many thanks to Starkey for arriving early/promptly, diagnosing the issue, being very professional, and making sure my problem was fixed!

First time using Roto-Rooter and I had a great experience! Bryce was very friendly and professional today. I reached out to them to get a second opinion on a laundry drain. Im used to having to wait several days or over a week to get on the schedule with my regular plumber. RR came out the same day. One other awesome thing I learned is that they wont charge you if they cant fix your issue. I paid $275 for my regular plumber to come out and attempt to fix the drain, which they couldnt. RR was not able to fix the drain either using the same methods, but they did provide a drain-clearing enzyme treatment that Im hoping works - it was only $75. Overall, I think their services might be more expensive than others but others will charge you if they cant fix it so I ended up saving a good bit of money. I would definitely use them again!

We destroyed our kitchen sink plumbing. We called JD and they pushed back our appointment twice after calling us all day long telling us they’d be there that day. We called Roto-rooter and they were here within an hour!! Mark, tech #457, was professional, knowledgeable and fixed our issue! He had to go in our crawl space several times. He informed us of what he was doing the whole time and was pleasant about everything. Very grateful we ended up with this company and will use again.

Roto-Rooter was quick to send someone out, when we needed a screw removed from our garbage disposal and to replace the fill tube on one of our toilets. Erik was persistent in wiggling out the screw (it was frustrating, for sure). He got everything repaired and sorted in a timely manner. Professional and was an overall good value.
