12/30/24, Nick & Andy came this morning to perform my annual maintenance on my new boiler. Nick was polite and explained everything they had to do, they were here just over 30 minutes. Before they left we scheduled my annual appointment for 2025. I just hope I receive an email confirming this date & time.April 30, 2024 I had my yearly generator maintenance done. The techs did a great job, considering it was raining out. Both techs were friendly and explained all questions that I had. Thank you.March 10, 2023 & Zenner & Ritter for 2 estimates, 1 on a new Boiler, and the other on a whole house generator. Rob Schadel spent a long time with me explaining and showing pictures of a new Lennox Boiler installed in another customers home. Hes friendly and is knowledgeable about the boiler systems and installation. Before he left, he sent a quote to my email so I could decide later what I wanted to do.Earl Farley also came to my house to give me an estimate on a whole house Generac generator. He also was friendly and has years of experience with Z&R. He too explained everything and showed me where the generator would be placed, and gave me a quote, which I signed that day to have it installed in about 5 weeks or more. Its nice to have a company that you can trust and rely on. The BBB gives them a 5 star rating.After I have the Boiler and Generator installed, I will give a complete review with pictures.

My furnace started making strange noises and as soon as I called Zenner and Ritter they put me on the service list and kept in contact with me until their service agent James came to look at it. He checked the furnace found the problem resolved it and had good advice as well. Definitely recommend!

Rob did a great job installing a new pump for our radiant heat system. He had to fabricate piping to make the new pump fit properly. Afterward, we tested the system thoroughly to make sure there were no leaks and everything was operating properly. I would hire him again. Thank you!

When I needed a new furnace, I went to Google Maps and searched for heating contractors. There were maybe half a dozen that were rated 4 stars or better. At the time, all but one of them had less than a hundred reviews. Z&R has 4.9 stars with over 4500 reviews. Been in business for decades. Many satisfied customers. They manage to maintain a 4.9 over that many reviews because they treat customers really well. I rated them 5 and it is well deserved.

Zenner and Ritter did a good job figuring out the problem with our furnace. One critique is that I had to tell the technician to put booties on, especially because there were large chunks of dried dirt on his boots. Best practice is that the guys put these on without the homeowner having to ask which is most appreciated. Other than that, I am very thankful that they came out and resolved the issue. Thank you!

Answered all of our questions, and was not pushy towards a more or less expensive unit, building us a complete package that fit our budget and will keep us power secured for many years to come! Ken Johnson & crew installed everything in 6 hours & we were back up & running ! Crew was professional, courteous, and efficient in their work ! Nate and the whole team that installed the generator were wonderful. Very polite, answered any questions and or concerns. The team work between each worker was reassuring and fantastic to see. I would highly recommend Zenner &Ritter to anyone, this is not the first time using this company. We have had furnaces and A/C units installed by them. They are spot on with every installation and most of all willing to work and make the homeown feel comfortable to ask questions if needed.

James was thorough and polite. Unfortunately I am going to have to spend a lot of money repairing or replacing my boiler -not his fault. My frustration at having to spend money I wasn’t planning on is the only reason that overall I feel too sad toGive anyone five stars today.The day after James assessed my boiler, Brian Lux came by to discuss repair/ replacement options. We came to an agreement on a replacement option. He was very thorough and went the extra mile to work with the dispatcher so that the work can be done Monday. Jumped up to five stars. All the technicians were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Our old furnace was a monster(45 years old) and they slayed it quickly and put a new one in in six hours! We are very thankful for all that help in bringing heat back to our home. We will very definitely be calling them again for other repairs and replacements. Next is the hot water heater boys😁. I had my boiler replaced a few years ago by Z and R and that experience was equally outstanding. Z and R was also competitive on price. Why go anywhere else?

We had cold climate heat pumps with ductless mini splits and ceiling cassettes installed in our house! After getting a couple different quotes it was very obvious that Zenner and Ritter made the most sense for us to go with. We have an old house with no ducting and they presented the most thoughtful way of installing the lines and working with the shape of our house. So far we are very impressed with how well the units all work. The workers were very respectful of our space even with our dogs barking at them a lot in the beginning of the process. Everyone we met was very professional and we are more than happy with the work they did on our house. Totally recommend them especially if you have an old weird house in the Buffalo area needing an upgraded heating/cooling system!

Outstanding service from Matt and from Zenner & Ritter overall!I called well after regular hours and asked to be called back the next day, since we could make it through the night without the furnace. The office called back just before 8am and asked if I had any time restrictions. I got another call a few minutes later to tell me Matt would arrive within the half hour.Every person I spoke to on the phone was polite and communicated very well — great reps for Z&R!The technician, Matt, was also very polite, knowledgeable, and respectful of us and our home. He explained the issues and solutions clearly and even tolerated my inquisitiveness.Aside from the fact that no one likes to spend money on furnace repairs, I could not have been happier. I don’t look forward to needing service again, but if I do, I’m going to request that Matt be the guy!

Great experience with the entire crew that came out to our home to install the whole home mini-split heat pump system and heat pump water heater! The team was professional, respectful, efficient, and very knowledgeable in their installation process and operation of the equipment. The entire installation and decommisioning of our old oil furnace took less than four days, and they cleaned up every day before they left. Enthusiastically recommend Zenner & Ritter to anyone looking for high quality HVAC upgrades!!

Lost heat due to failed gas valve. Called for emergency service. Wasn’t able to initially get out due to snow storms and travel bans. He stayed in contact and got out early the next day. Parts were ordered same day and was able to install very quickly. Eli was courteous, professional and punctual. Appreciated the customer service and happy to have heat again!

When our furnace conked out during an autumn cold spell, I immediately called Zenner & Ritter. Brian showed up at our home at 8pm and evaluated the situation in our 3 foot crawl space. He advised us of our options and never did we feel any pressure to purchase a new system. Not having heat facing a long Buffalo winter is not an option, but we sincerely appreciated the no pressure feel of working with Brian. His communication was excellent, he emailed 3 estimates first thing the next morning and answered any and all questions we had. Ultimately, we bought a new furnace which was quickly and expertly installed without incident. Its not easy working in a crawl space and the crew that came was clean, efficient, friendly, and professional. The price was well below what we expected to pay and the service was second to none. We cannot recommend Z & R highly enough and will definitely call them again should the need arise! Zenner & Ritter is a high class, professional business who absolutely deserves more than 5 stars!

Then she had him call me on the phone after he looked at my generator and told me everything that he needed to do to fix it along with pricing. He was a very polite on the telephone and he seemed very knowledgeable. He is going to order the part needed to do the repair and then return when we can schedule the follow up appmt when the part arrives. I also appreciated how quickly I was able to get an appmt when I first called — I’d recommend this company

Awesome !!!All 3 techs were friendly, courteous, informative, polite!!! they explained a few things to us. Told up how to protect and clean outside AC unit ! They cleaned up everything ! The original quote had Lennox thermostat , I did some comparisons with our Sensi thermostat and thought it would be OK . Duane did some research and said our Sensi would work and they refunded me the money! I was totally impressed with his effort and Zenner with removing the thermostat cost!!!! We Highly recomend them! Definitely a 5 star company from beginning to end! It started with Anita coming over to discuss generator options with me. We sat down and she explained the whole process and the different size options. Never once did I feel pressure from her. She simply stated all the facts, went to the basement with me to show me what work would be done and then went outside with me to pinpoint the area it would be in making sure to follow codes. I have never had anyone take the time to go over every aspect of a job and make sure to answer all my questions! Fantastic! Then I got a call from Diana to schedule the service. Diana was extremely nice and made sure I would know each step that would happen from before the work could start to the inspections afterwards. Finally the installation. I can’t say enough good things about Dakari and his team! All the gentlemen were professional and very nice. Dakari would update me throughout the time they were here to let me know how things were going. Once the generator was in, they gave me a thorough run through of how it works and simulated a power outage. I highly recommend Zenner & Ritter if you are thinking of getting a generator! After this experience, we will definitely be using them for future plumbing and heating/cooling needs. Thank you for the outstanding service!

We had already decided upon a Generac whole house generator, and picked the 3 top closest installers on the Generac website to get on-site quote visits from. Zenner & Ritter was one of the 3 installer companies. Earl Farley came out today for the onsite analysis and quote, was on time and very easy going. We had questions about the generator, placement on our lot, installation details in our basement, and gas and electric company utility requirements. Earl was very knowledgeable, but we were especially impressed that for two questions, he called someone at our town highway department for town generator placement rules from the property line and house, and whether our house was in a flood zone. For a key basement install question, he called one of the leads for a Zenner & Ritter installation crew. We also liked the notepad-based quote tool he used, and he sent his quote immediately at the end of our house visit. Finally, we were impressed with Zenner & Ritters experience with single house generators, the actual as-installed price quoted, and that Zenner & Ritter could do the install 2 weeks after we made a decision, in early November.

He takes an incredible amount of pride in his work and it absolutely shows in the finished product. Called at 5 pm because ac stopped working. Brian called back about 6:30, got there about 7. Immediately diagnosed the problem, found parts in truck, told me what parts cost and warranty, and fixed it in about an hour. Extremely happy. He definitely knew what he was doing

It started with the call at the office. The receptionist was friendly, courteous, and concerned about our trouble. We called for an emergency air-conditioning repair on the 4th of July, and within 30 minutes, Greg, our HVAC serviceman, showed up. We were leaving for out of town the next day, having our house/pet sitter coming, and needed the A/C to be working. He diagnosed our problem and had us up and running within an hour. He took time to explain the issue and was friendly, courteous, and informative, and he exceeded our expectations on the cost, considering it being a holiday and how in need we were. I definitely would use them again for our HVAC services.

Backup generator would not run. Called Zenner and Ritter on Sunday. They said they wanted to send their senior Generac tech to evaluate the situation. Since there was no current power interruption they asked if Thursday would be OK? We were in the midst of a heat wave and they wanted to prioritize their staff to addressing A/C issues. Rich Moss arrived when expected. He immediately recognized that the vent valve of the natural gas regulator was clogged by a spider nest! He proceeded to clean the blocked part. He also noted that too much oil was present in the crankcase and drained the excess amount. I was very pleased with Mr. Moss and his attention to detail and his very pleasant demeanor.

Tim and Zack were wonderful! They came by for our first of annually scheduled AC maintenance and were thorough. Tim was teaching Zack and it nice to see and hear how thorough and patient Tim was. We ended up needing to add some refrigerant and sealant to our unit, and they were happy to explain everything and its importance in ways I can understand. Our AC is now running so much better and is cooling so much faster! I cannot thank Zenner and Ritter enough! It’s obvious you want the best for your customers and your staff is knowledgeable and thorough - it’s nice to see that in the tech 1 on 1 training too.

Would definitely recommend Zenner & Ritter for a boiler replacement. From the initial call to the office, to Comfort Coordinator Brian, to Manager Rob and crew Andrew and Joe these guys were awesome! They were on time every time, for the estimate and install, kept me updated throughout, worked quickly and cleanly and were able to set me up with 3 heat zones where the house previously had none. I’m loving the wireless thermostats! The job was done in 1 day. 18 mos deferred interest was a definite plus. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
