I needed to have my sump pump and back up replaced. Rob arrived 10 minutes early as he usually does and got started. It took him about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to complete the installations. When he was done he gave me very explicit instructions on how to test the back up, which I appreciated and wrote down, as I will never remember. When he left it was as if he was never at my house. I have had Shotwell as my go to plumber for over 30 years. I would and do recommend them as a reliable company.

I called in the morning as I had a partially blocked sewer line. They sent a plumber within 2 hours. He was able to unplug our sewer line even though it took some work as it had not been cleaned for 10 years without resorting to jetting, which would have been much more expensive (and they dont do it themselves). The total was right on the estimate provided to me before. Very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I will use them again.

My kitchen sink was not draining. Crisis!! What to do? Well I called Shotwell. They were able to set me up with a plumber quickly and at my conveniance. They said they would arrive between 10-12. The plumber arrived at 10.05. Amazing. When does that happen. Within 15 minutes my sink was draining like the upper Niagara into the Lower Niagara. Crisis averted. My plumber was friendly, informative, polite and most importantly professional. How do I add a sixth star? If your sink is clogged, Call Shotwell.

Recently our sump pump broke and we had minor flooding in the basement. We called Shotwell Plumbing, who weve used several times and alway have a good experience. The tech came the next day, replaced it with a much better pump including the plumbing for a reasonable price. Shame on me for not remembering his name! He was fast and friendly as always! We started noticing some small water damage on our living room ceiling. After investigating, we found the connection to our tub drain on the second floor was not done to code after our bathroom remodel. Rob from Shotwell came out to look at our issue and was able to quickly provide an emailed estimate. Scheduling was fast and I appreciated the text alerts when he was on his way.He and his assistant completed the work quickly, replaced the tub plug, sealed the fixtures and cleaned everything up thoroughly. Very pleased with this company and appreciate working with a small business owner.

I recently had my basement waterproofed and realized my hot water tank was pretty old and didn’t want my basement flooding again due to it failing. I decided not to go with a large commercial “see their commercial ever ten minutes” company. I did some due diligence called my local chamber of commerce, checked the BBB along with asked for plumbing recommendations from my areas Facebook group. Many people recommended Shotwell Plumbing. I called and received a fair quote for a quality product. This is the first time I used them and felt like I finally found a plumber I can recommend and keep using. In fact I hired Shotwell plumbing again two days later because I needed to replace an old concrete laundry tub that had to be broken up and removed during the waterproofing job. I tried to DYI it. I bought a cheap plastic tub just to use for our washer to drain in but it’s not ideal, it’s unstable and, basement flooding nightmare ran through my mind again. I called Shotwell again, Rob from Shotwell came over the next day and gave me a decent price on a wall attached tub with all the plumbing needed. I’ll return the Home Depot bought tub after the job is completed.I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them for anything I can’t do myself in the future. Their prices are fair compared to others and it’s not often that you find a company with a master plumber that shows up to do the actual job.

He resolved all problems, explained clearly the precise procedures he would do, and worked quickly, neatly in unpleasant weather. Rob was polite, friendly, and reassuring. I saw in someones basement that Shotwell Plumbing had replaced the water heater. Something you rarely see is the actual correct way of installing csst (corrugated stainless steel tubing), but their installation was perfect. Additionally, they wrote on the water heater the installation date and the company name and phone number, plus their company sticker. If they pay that much attention to the small details, then Im sure the bigger details will be handled with the same professionalism.

I highly recommend Shotwell Plumbing. Mark and his partner showed up on time, after he confirmed our scheduled appointment that morning by text. They were neat, fast,and friendly. He made a recommendation to replace the galvanized pipe sometime in the future since I told him that Id had problems with the same pipe before, but he didnt try to pressure me.

Went with these guys instead of my normal plumber because of the urgency of the situation and I was very happy with the results.They arrived on time within 24 hours diagnosed and fixed the problem promptly. Just an old toilet with some leaky connections and seals, but I had coming through the walls in the lower unit so I was very happy with how quickly they responded.Price was reasonable and consistent with other plumbers.Highly recommend and wouldnt hesitate to use again

I called Shotwell on Friday morning Dec. 30 about 10:30 am with a clogged sewer line that had started to back up into our basement. They promptly returned my call and were at our house by 12:30. They listened as I explained what I thought the issue was. From there they took steps to evaluate the issue and explain to me the actual cause which was not what I thought. By taking these steps they were able to properly make the repair without doing unnecessary work that would have cost additional money. Work was done completely and my sewer line was cleaned out completely. Plumber was informative, professional, personable and efficient.!I had this sewer line cleaned by another company during the fall as a preventative measure. The work done then was not thorough as I can now see steps that were not included in the work which then resulted in my current problem. I am so glad I followed a friends recommendation to call Shotwell and will call them for any future plumbing needs.

I had originally called Shotwell around January 2021 over a leak and much needed water pipe replacement. At the time I was finding estimates and found Shotwell to be the cheapest. Shotwell called me back twice to see if I was still interested in their work, however other financial situations needed more attention at the time and they were understanding. Finally I scheduled Shotwell on April 6th and 7th, 2021. The guys (2) came around 8:30 AM and finished the job in one day without taking a lunch break. The job was to replace all the galvanized piping with brand new copper piping and installing a new shutoff valve to the house. They were serious, professional and had a customer friendly playlist of music going (no expletives). They showed me everything they did and showed me that all the shut off valves worked for every hot and cold pipe that led to a faucet.The next day I ran the kitchen faucet and was freaking out that no hot water was working. I called Shotwell around 7-8 PM that night to ask, and he told me that the kitchen sink was reversed and the hot direction was now cold and so on. I felt like a damn fool for not trying that, however it was nice that they answered outside of work hours.Its been 16 days since the installation and I have had zero problems!Hopefully I can go back and add photos to this.
