Darrel Kimbrough, our service tech, was as good as one might hope for, and went above and beyond solving our emergency situation of having no furnace when the temperature was forecast to drop into the low 20s. He really seemed to care, and that is very rare these days! I honestly cant recommend him highly enough, and would be elated if he handles all of our service calls! Standard Heating & Air is the only company my wife and I have used for plumbing and HVAC work since at least 2010, for both large and small projects. This most recent job was replacing a kitchen sink, disposal and kitchen faucet in my mom’s condominium. Brad Casey and an apprentice did an excellent job. It was not a simple project, and they really went above and beyond to make sure it was done perfectly. We are very pleased with it. Chris Humphries at Standard was also very helpful in looking at it before hand and discussing the replacements. The photos show the before and after (the stainless steel sink is the before photo).

I called to see about cleaning our ductwork & I feel like we received so much more. The gentleman that came out was respectful to put booties over his shoes to keep dirt from getting in the house then proceeded to go in the attic to check the ductwork. When he came down to our surprise not only told us but showed us a picture of how clean the ductwork actually was. Now in this day and time you just dont expect a company nor a person representing a company to tell you the truth. However, in this case I want to highly recommend the company but to thank the man for his honesty & integrity!! I want to add my praise for Standard Heating and Cooling and especially for Daryl Rudick and his supervisor. I am a member of their service plan for my two units. The one up in the attic for the upper floor is particularly hard to work on as the attic is very hot in the summer time when you need the unit to work. At his last service check Daryl noticed it did not have a float switch to cut off the unit if the drain line overflows and runs into the safety catch pan. I did not know there was an option to have one installed so I took his advice since a couple of years back, before I started their service plan, the unit had over flowed and damaged the ceiling sheetrock. Well this past Sunday it did overflow again but the new float switch did its job and shut the unit down. I called on Monday first thing and the lady listened to my story and said while all technicians were out on call at the moment there would be one out before the end of the day. True to her word Daryl showed up about 3:30 and his supervisor about 15 minutes later. Daryl and his supervisor worked together as a team for over 2 hours in the very hot attic. They got the drain working again and the unit running again. Me and my family and grandkids cannot thank Daryl and his supervisor enough for their quick response. When I asked for the bill I expected at least some man-hours for labor but they said there would be no charge as it was part of the service plan. Needless to say i can not more highly recommend this company!

Do yourself a favor & call Standard. Billy came out the same day & found a small leak in my water heater that was giving off a slight gassy odor. He was efficient, honest, & knowledgeable. Took a bunch of pictures to show what he found and was able to repair everything. Thank you for the peace of mind! After the great service from Billy, I called back and asked for some help with a few plumbing issues. Baron was awesome. He was so professional & knew exactly what needed to be done. My elderly mother had an emergency plumbing problem after-hours that resulted in the flooding of her kitchen due to the inability to access the cutoff valve. After calling 3 so-called emergency service plumbers without any success in getting a technician out Standard Heating Cooling Plumbing sent James who arrived promptly and removed the rusted galvanized pipe and installed a new shutoff valve. He checked for other leaks and was extremely thorough, friendly, professional and knowledgeable which was so comforting to my 96-year old mother and the family. His attention to detail was on point. Once maintenance was complete he spent quite a bit of time cleaning the systems up. I had two systems in my head me that were both aging and were very inefficient. Brian at standard came out and we worked together to identify issues that needed to be addressed and matched that with high efficiency AC and furnace units that fit my need and budget. Within a couple days the installers were at home and began removal of the old units. The installers worked for 5 straight days installing my new systems, adding new air returns and supply lines. Every effort was made by the team to protect my home from damage as they removed the old equipment and install the new equipment. We conferred at the end of each day about the progress, any changes to the plan, delays or obstacles and the plan for the next day. The team worked tirelessly and at the end of a very long day on Friday, both systems were up and running. The difference in the comfort level in my home is amazing! The consistency in temperature between upstairs and downstairs and the basement as well as from room to room is better than I had hoped for. The Bryant equipment they installed is high quality, super efficient and ultra quiet. I could not be happier with level of customer service and quality of workmanship!

Recieved a call at 12:00 noon that he was on the way! He got there at 12:15!!! Checked out the unit told me with great accuracy what it would cost. He did the repair and was done in short amount of time. HE DID AN AWESOME JOB, WAS VERY NICE AND POLITE!! I APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY AND PROMPTNESS TAKING CARE OF A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR US!! We have been very impressed with Standard! I personally own a heating and plumbing company out of state, when a family member who lives in Birmingham needed service I called Standard and they immediately sent someone out. They repaired our water heater this summer and more recently completed a furnace service for us. The repairmen have been very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they do a thorough job and they didn’t push unnecessary repairs. I definitely trust this company and would highly recommend them. A company of high morals!

Brady was great. Very personable and sincere and he was Awesome with my 2 small children. They were all over him wanting attention from him and he was great. Would definitely recommend him and Standard.
