    Joanie and Roland were the best electricians Iā€™ve worked with so far. They gave me such good information about the different electrical needs I had going on in my house. They did the different tasks expertly, took the time to do it to code (improving the work of previous electricians), and then after they were done, cleaned up. They did such a thorough job cleaning, my rooms looked better than when they found them. Talk about setting a high standard. I am so grateful.

    We used Saffer Plumbing, Heating & Electrical to replace our dull driveway lighting as well as extend the lighting further down our driveway.Roland and Joanie did such a great job and were quick and efficient. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the project quickly and as scheduled.     Saffer is our go-to for all of our homes plumbing & electrical needs. The company has built up a culture prioritizing customer service. Tyler Ahmer came to install our new kitchen faucet & did such a wonderful job. Jeremiah & Roland came to install our new lamppost & also did a fantastic job. They all took the time to explain to us the process & were very efficient & courteous. When we noticed our hot water heater had been slowly leaking we knew it was time to stay ahead of the game & get a new one.     Very impressed with Safferā€™s service. I located a leak late Monday night, called Saffer on Tues morning at 7:30 AM and they had Brad their technician out same day by 9AM. Brad was kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. He kept me informed as he investigated the issue and made repairs. The pricing was straightforward and reasonable.     Our water heater burst late Friday night and we lost a lot of sleep worrying about whether weā€™d be able to get someone in to look at it. We called a few different places on Saturday morning but Saffer was the only one that was willing to help immediately. No technicians were available so the company owner asked a former technician, now inspector, and a manager to come. The price was exactly what we had been quoted for a replacement previously, no after hour charges or upselling and they took care to explain all of the features on the new tank and how to maintain it. Iā€™m so incredibly grateful to have a dedicated, honest company that goes the extra mile!

    Chuck did an outstanding job quoting the job, understanding full well what it was I was looking to accomplish.On the day of the job, Roland and Joanie were great! They worked hard to find the cleanest paths to run a new circuit without cutting out drywall from the underside, and even pulled a new feed for a relocation due to the deteriorating wires in the existing circuit. All while keeping me informed and notified of the work.Tyler, the plumber who responded for my job was also great, and was in and out in a short timeframe to cap and cut out some old gas lines.

    Anthony and Christian came by to give our old beast of a boiler a look over and a tune-up. They were both awesome. Christian ran safety checks and provided a full report on the boiler. I chatted with them both about options for gas-free upgrades to both the boiler and the water heater, and Anthony worked up a full estimate. I would definitely recommend.     I just had an excellent experience with Saffer! I had an old leaking sink . Brent came out, was extremely professional and installed a new sink in a timely manner.     We could not ask for a better experience! From the initial evaluation of the problem on site by Chuck, to the grounds crew headed by Jose, and the plumbing crew of Nick, Kevin and Brandon, this has been a smooth process. From start to finish, all of the workers were respectful, courteous, and professional. By looking at our yard, one cant even tell that the entire water line was replaced. We are happy that our outdoor faucets operate without leaking and we could not ask for a better price on the entire project. We were so anxious about addressing our plumbing issues, but once you all came and got started, we immediately felt relief. You are the best!!!!

    Nick with Saffer plumbing was very knowledgeable and generous with his time when explaining a complex venting issue with our upstairs bathroom. He took the time to get familiar with the general piping system in the house before making his recommendation. The day he came to work on the job, he and the Saffer crew were very considerate to set up the area and protect the floors before starting. They did everything to avoid dust within reason and put things back together afterwards. They worked all day and took time to explain the progress for me. I learned more about my house. The staff at Saffer have always been friendly but Nickā€™s expertise on the venting issue was impressive. Iā€™m looking forward to enjoying our shower now. Knowing that Saffer can call on different types of plumbers for various specialties when a need gets complex is valuable.

    We had a drain problem and Saffer was nicely responsive and the office made sure they fully understood our situation before picking a date to come. The technician, David, was knowledgeable, kind and informative, and the work got done in excellent time. It is a nice, transparent company that doesnt leave you guessing.I give it 4 stars because Saffer uses a tier system to show you what you are paying for. The higher the price the better the warranty of the work. However, the price gets pretty swanky pretty quickly. The bottom tier is to get the work done, but they call this Band aid and the use of that word makes you worry that the work will be shoddy. The truth is, if you just get the work done, it will be done well by this company. The rest of the tiers, feel to me, like they are taking advantage of our fears that we will be left with a job that breaks right away. Weve all experienced that, no doubt. I did not like feeling manipulated that way.

    Tony and Bam quickly figured out the old Jimmy-rigged plumbing situation under my kitchen sink and installed all new piping and shut-off values so I could get a new dishwasher installed. They were incredibly professional and clearly communicated everything that was going on as they did the work. I feel great about everything they did and will definitely use Saffer for my next plumbing or electrical job!UPDATE: Weston came out to take a look at some terrifying wiring in my house. He was able to explain, in laymanā€™s terms, what he was seeing and what his concerns were. He then provided me with several options to address the electrical situation. It was a big job, but the work done by Weston and his crew gave me so much peace of mind!! They worked hard and didnā€™t cut any corners. I feel like they really treated my home as if it were their own and did quality work that will stand the test of time!

    I cannot thank Chuck enough for his help. My mother and I have both used Saeffer for years for our homes--she has a little condo I have a house with a yard. Because of an emergency I had to call another very well known plumbing company for a back up that had some sewage water in it. Their assessment was that after an expensive root removal was a $15,000 fix that also needed us to spend at least $5000 to remove a beautiful health 70yro tree.(The name of the other expensive company rhymes with Motor-Scooter)Chuck came in explained the problem offered multiple solutions that were affordable for me to choose from and suggested good water restoration services --people that cost 75% less than the other service that was offered with the company!!! Saeffer was HONEST with me gave me options when I said please is there anyway we can save the tree and Chuck was so patient and explained the problem and gave me an immediate solution to buy me some time (tree root spray in drain) while the other company said I wouldnt be able to use the bathroom in my home until this was fixed! Also, the guys who they recommended to water restoration Clean Sweep Enterprises(I think thats the nane) were just the nicest Luke and Caleb. You can imagine how stressed I was worrying about cross contaminated and bacteria and water and mold and they were just the nicest guys you could hope for and worked with me on options and to help me afford the clean up. And they came the same day! Thank you Chuck and Luke and Caleb!!!

    My experience with Saffer is a scenario of you get what you pay forā€”-they may not be the cheapest, but they are well worth the price. I have had nothing but positive, transparent, professional experiences with all of their technicians. I have an older home that required some plumbing after I first bought it, and Saffer came highly recommended to me, and now I see why. David Robinson has worked on my home three times, and he is fantastic and also does a great job of explaining what needs to be done and what the options are.     I just had my second experience with Chris and Saffer and I was as delighted as the first time. They were very prompt and I think their prices are fair. I had a pipe replaced, a shower control fixed and a water heater replaced. Heres my prior review....This was my first experience with Saffer Plumbing and Im delighted! Chris and Brook did an excellent job. I especially appreciated that Chris explained everything to me very clearly. I had a master bedroom toilet that hadnt flushed properly for a few months, then it started running constantly. Chris explain what caused these problems and gave me estimates for both a repair and a replacement. I decided on the replacement. Christ arrived at 7:30 am, Brook a bit later with the new toilet. The were finished and out the door a few minutes after 10 am. I recommend Saffer very highly.

    Motley and Will did an excellent job clearing up a big basement sewer backup and declogging an additional bonus toilet upstairs. Also, THEY CLEANED UP THE MESS!!! Very worth it. Ask about the saving with Saffer plan for a large job or a family. Worth it!!

    I called Saffer at the recommendation of a family member and they did not disappoint. The original issue was compounded by a water heater breaking the night before the service call and despite 0 notice Saffer was able to fix the original issue and replace the water heater all within the same day. Anthony completed the assessment and the following work with diligence and professionalism. Iā€™m never thrilled about an unexpected expense like this but the quoted job price was fair and competitive with other estimates for my area, and the final cost was not expanded on with upselling or surprise fees. I will definitely recommend Saffer to my neighbors.

    So Ill admit it, after a lifetime of bad technicians and salespeople, Ive gotten exceptionally picky when it comes to service calls and contractors.This morning Dominic showed up with Christian Williams and they both knocked it out of the park. I had an estimated one million questions and Dominic was quick to answer, always had a smile and sense of humor and cleaned up after himself. I hovered like a nutty homeowner and he didnt seem to mind. THIS is what it should look like when a tech comes! Saffer is my new go to for anything plumbing related. Dominic answered all my busybody questions about my old house and Christian let him take the lead but I felt like the two of them had been doing this for eons together. Thank you guys, so so much.     I want to thank Saffer Plumbing for promptly scheduling our work on Pickett Road in York Manor and doing an excellent repair. The office contact was friendly and efficient, Saffers plumber Will Chatman was friendly, informative, and talented, while owner Chris Saffer amazingly found replacement parts for a 70-year-old bathtub fixture and personally delivered them from his Parkville business to the job site.     Had a major sewer back up the day after New Years. Saffer made it a point to get a technician too me even though it had to be after hours. David was on call for that and had been for several days. He still kept a pleasant mood and worked tirelessly to free the clog between our house and our septic.     Professional and fast install. Called on fathers day as my water heater was leaking and was about to flood out completely. 30 min after my call was placed a technician was at my front door. Estimate was provided over the phone and actual total was in line with price given. Reworking the pipe set up to the new heater was done flawlessly.     We had an issue with our bathroom sink not draining. We contacted Saffer Plumbing and our technician, Will Chatman, was able to replace a very corroded galvanized pipe in a short amount of time. Will explained everything he was doing and had very little mess after he had to cut thru a wall. He cleaned up the drywall debris and it really wasnt necessary for us to vacuum. Will was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We have used Saffer several times and only have good things to say about them. We give them straight 10s.

    Great experience! We had a rusting pipe to one of our radiators that needed replacing. Chad from Saffer, arrived on time, assessed our issue and several hours later, the pipe was replaced, boiler cleaned, and radiators bled to have our home heating system running smoothly without worry.     If I could give a higher rating to Mr. Christian Williams, Plumber, I absolutely would. I have been having trouble with my fairly new hot water heater, which was installed in July of 2021, by Saffer, since December, 22, 2023. I have had 3 independent, licensed plumbers come out a total of 6 times, describing to them the problem I was having. None of them could figure out the problem, (1 of the 3 was from Saffer), until today.Christian arrived promptly at the time of my appointment, 7:30 a.m. He put boot covers on his shoes to keep my home spotless. He listened to me describe the problem, and he began to investigate. He went from room to room, trying all faucets, he put the heat on and he tested his theory. He then told me exactly why I was having the problem of no hot water in my shower. He then took apart the system as it had been installed, made the corrective repairs, re-tried the entire system, and put everything back together. Christian was here 5 hours. He took his time but worked steadily. He was polite, clean and thorough. This gentleman fixed everything. I was so happy to know repairs were made, and my warranty covered everything. Saffer took responsibility and treated me first rate. I have no problem recommending them, and Christian was the greatest to talk to and handle the situation. Christian gets an A+. I wanted to give him a tip afterwards, but he refused. He took great satisfaction knowing he fixed my system. He labeled all the pipes when he was finished, and showed me all his work. Top notch.

    Brandon R. and Steve are amazing! Brandon stayed late until 11 PM to try to fix our problem and although other equipment was needed, he was so nice, knowledgeable and tried everything he could to resolve our issue.     Saffer put in an electric water heater for me six years ago, that required my fuse box to also be updated. They were an 11 out of ten in terms of expertise, trustworthiness and competitive pricing (not inflating costs). Three weeks ago I found myself in an electrical predicament and called them up in a panic. Jerry (my hero) talked me off of a ledge, and then came out the following day. Assessed the situation, came up with a plan of action, and took care of the fiasco I created when hitting some wires with a drill bit.     Jason did my Safer With Saffer Club plumbing and electrical inspection and was extremely knowledgeable, very personable and was very willing to share information about the inspection. I asked Jason to give me an estimate to replace a toilet with a specific Gerber model, and we also set up a tentative date for the installation. Several days later, Shawn from parts supply (?) called to tell me the local distributor was not carrying the specific Gerber toilet model because it was a new model and the distributor wanted to sell his inventory of old models before he ordered the new model. Shawn advised that if I still wanted the new model Gerber toilet he would order it directly from Gerber, but there would be a shipping charge. I felt the shipping charge was reasonable, and since I still wanted the specific new model, I agreed to pay the shipping, and Shawn immediately sent an updated proposal and explained how long the shipping would take . I am extremely pleased with the performance of Jason and Shawn in their handling of this event. P.S.: I am a very long time customer of Saffer Plumbing & Electric, and am always very satisfied with their work.

The on-call plumber, Josh Gallano, went above and beyond.     Im having trouble writing this review because I love Saffer so much, it sounds like Im being sarcastic or fake when I talk about them. But seriously, they do such amazing work. I have a weird old house and other companies have been confounded by it, they solve what *might* be the problem then leave. But Saffer technicians always do such thorough diagnostics and make sure they identified and solved the right problem (which is a big deal because like I said, weird old house). Seriously - they will stay as long as it takes to confirm they identified the correct issue and the solution worked as intended.They are very timely - they schedule appointments fast and will do their best to get a job done that day, often staying into the evening. I had one tech literally call his wife and say he might be late for a big dinner. They also usually show up at the beginning of the service/arrival window. They are also so considerate and manage to explain complicated electrical, plumbing etc. issues in a way I can understand.My dad is a contractor in California. Last summer, he asked if he could speak to the Saffer technician on the phone and told him Ive been a contractor for 40 years and I am so impressed by the quality of work and customer service my daughter is describing. Thanks for taking care of her. (For reference, Im 31 - but Dads will be Dads, at any age.)I honestly feel cared for by them. Like the technicians and even the office staff that I talk to on the phone seem to really care about my safety. I didnt know that kind of customer service still existed, let alone in a metropolitan area!Unfortunately Ive needed to call them a lot, Ive had a few different issues in the past few years, and every time - the quality of work is unparalleled. Weve used them for both types of work several times now, across two different houses and have only had good experiences. They are our go-to plumbers and they will be our first call for HVAC or electrical if/when the need arises.====They did a great job. I needed a washer/dryer hookup installed in a somewhat unusual spot. Another company took a look and said it couldnt be done, but Saffer was able to do some problem solving and come up with a workable plan. On the day of the job, the crew arrived and went right to work, executing the plan well. They got it done in the specified time frame and price, and so far (3 months later) the work is holding up well. The office staff was pretty easy to work with as well. It was not cheap, but good work never is.

    Brad came out to cap off our gas line to the kitchen, as we are installing an induction stove, partly due to my discomfort with using gas in the kitchen. He was knowledgeable and thorough, answering all my questions about the capping process and explaining my options for where to seal it. He ensured that the old cap was within specifications for the new stove to slide in flush against the wall, checked carefully for any leaks (!!!), relit the basement gas appliances and tidied up after the work was complete. Oh-- and i forgot to mention, they were able to schedule me within days of my initial call -- which ensured that the stove would be in place and operational before Thanksgiving! Thank you, Brad!

    We are never thrilled to have a plumbing problem, but were now glad to use Saffer to handle problems & correct plumbing mistakes of the past. We were sent the team of Bob W., David R., and Bam M. They were efficient, knowledgeable, courteous & went above and beyond. While here, they discovered that the main water valve at the street could not be switched off, it was corroded open, so if there was an external problem with City water, the flow couldnt be stopped and would flood our property. We called 311 and Baltimore City will now come out to fix it. We would never had known this had it not been for Saffer.

The plumber shared that while the toilet was past its original warranty since those same toilets now had a longer warranty than when we originally purchased them, the service was completely covered. It cost us $0 for his repairs other than the tip we insisted he take for his exceptional service.     Our water heater sprung a leak on a holiday weekend. Even though they were booked for a few days out, the plumber on call (Josh) squeezed us in late at night after a very full day, coming at 10pm at night for a free estimate. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and apologized for the late hour even though it wasnā€™t his fault and we were grateful that he made time to work us in. He was able to rig the heater so we could have cold running water in our house overnight, and then came back the next day with Ben to replace it. They both did a great job.     Our 34-year-old boiler started short cycling, and another company and a private contractor said we needed to replace it. It was too expensive to fix, they told us. Then the guys from Saffer came over, quickly figured out the problem, and the replacement part we needed was only $100. Saffers guys said we had another good few years with this boiler. It was such a relief. Theyre trustworthy and reasonably priced. I cant recommend them enough.

    Very happy with the Saffer plumber (Chris Archer) who helped resolve our issues. Chris initial assessment proved to be correct (toilet drain clog w/ broken wax seal) and he was nimble to overcome the fact that we had no wax seal, but a grout seal under our toilet. He also diagnosed that our older toilet jets were clogged and leading to our lack of head pressure on flushes. He was able to quickly procure a replacement toilet and get it properly installed. While waiting for the new toilet to arrive, we asked him to diagnose a leaky faucet and his assumption was either a broken seal or stem crack. It was a cracked stem and he was also able to quickly procure a new faucet and install it. Cant say enough about his ability to clearly explain plumbing equipment and how things are or are not working. He was personable, knowledgeable and kept a clean work area. Will definitely turn to Saffer again for any future plumbing needs. Hopefully, not any time soon, though!

    Saffer was amazingly responsive - we are so impressed with their professionalism and their service to customers. When we woke up in the frigid cold on the morning of Christmas Eve with the heater not working, I called Saffer. Within an hour or so, someone was out here troubleshooting. He was able to diagnose the problem and provide a temporary fix, with the promise of an electrician coming by to provide a permanent repair the following week. But around 6 that evening, we got a call that the electricin could come out and complete the repair. By 7:15 the problem was completely solved.We are so grateful that these service people gave up their vacation time on Christmas Eve to ensure that we didnt spend the holiday weekend huddled around a space heater. For a 10 minute job (like removing some food and attaching a pressure pipe back to the disposal, which YouTube showed me takes 2 mins) they charged me $207.Absolutely ridiculous, and after I paid, I called them to see if they could offer any discount or new customer coupon or something because I felt the service was not worth that cost, they told me that since I already paid and I didnā€™t dispute it before, they couldnā€™t do much. The actual technician was nice though. But thereā€™s ton of other companies out there that wonā€™t charge as much, and will actually try to help you when you bring up a concern regarding pricing.Edit: I was contacted and notified there was a miscommunication and the owner himself fixed the mistake which is rare nowadays.     I was able to get my broken hot water heater, which was leaking all over the basement, repaired same day. Christopher Archer and Chad Knowles came out, pointed out what had failed, explained the condensation, and explained exactly what theyd need to do and how it affected the cost - I needed a gas valve moved and some lines cleaned up as any new tank would be bigger and sit to the side of where the old one was.     My plumber was Nick Greene. He was very good at his job. He immediately knew what the problem was and got to work. The procedure took awhile but he was precise in his work. He clean up after himself. I was quite happy with his work. In fact , Iā€™m planning to have him back to install a new faucet.
