My husband and I recently hired Pat Murphy Electric to upgrade the electric panel in a recently purchased older condo. We couldnt be more pleased with the experience and would highly recommend the company for electric work. Carlos in the office was friendly, knowledgable and very patient with us as we tried to figure out what work needed to be done. He worked with us to get the estimate right and to schedule the work. He was fantastic all around! Scott and Noa came to our home and did a great job with a difficult project. They worked hard the whole day to get it all correct and then tested their work thoroughly to make sure everything was right before they left. Both Scott and Noa were friendly, respectful of our space and skilled at their jobs. They used protective coverings for our floor and were careful fitting in the new panel so that they didnt cause damage to the wall. Most importantly, they were so patient with my husband and his thousands of questions! Just a wonderful pair to have in our home and a great company. Absolutely the best experience Ive had with an electrical company EVER. Or any subcontractor, for that matter. Very responsive to an urgent need and Carlos, the technician who came out, was the best. He explained everything in lay terms and did the work quickly. He then explained what he did. I was so impressed, I let him sell me a whole-house surge protector! I though I had one when I built the house not too long ago, but after Carlos did a thorough check, it appears that home builder did not put one. I recommend Pat Murphy without reservation - mostly on the strength of the price/value and my experience with the lovely dispatcher and Carlos - and will definitely use them in the future!

Carlos was super-friendly and attentive. Despite being cold and irritated from not having heat the last week, he’s hard to dislike and put a smile on my face and had me at ease almost immediately.After troubleshooting and extensive testing, it was brought to my attention that the HVAC unit here has an undersized breaker and just about any time it gets too cold and emergency heating is used, the breaker will most likely go off.This indeed is what occurred and it makes sense now why there were last troubles with the unit at similar intervals. The unit had been serviced by two contractors, the builder, and their electrician and only Carlos pointed out this oversight and resolved my issue.Despite the price being a bit more than I expected, I feel for as thorough, punctual, and caring as they are, Pat Murphy is very worth it as one call to them first could have saved countless hours and dollars being spent dealing with everyone else.Thank you again Carlos and Pat Murphy for warming both my home and my mood when no one else could!

We had a very complex electrical set-up in our 50s home The previous owner had done much of the work himself, from building the home to providing power to to room additions, outdoor spaces, and two outbuildings, one of which had 3 sub-panels.My initial goal was to restore power safely to the main outbuilding. With the existing constellation and surrounding concrete, it was a huge project, more than most smaller companies I spoke with felt able to manage with the technicians available to them. Pat Murphy had the manpower and the confidence to tackle the job. Carlos O.-S. came to check it all out. He was thorough and creative in his ideas on how to proceed.As other companies already had indicated, we needed to replace the main panel and have a service upgrade in addition to the reconfiguration for supply to the back building. Carlos gave me a comprehensive quote before he even left the premises, then took the time to explain each item and answer any questions I had. All of the pricing was standardized and was largely transparent (he had a hard-copy schedule of the various add-ons which I did not receive). Pat Murphy is known not to be the least expensive, but as Id also been told, you do get what you pay for.Once the job began, Carlos and Jeremiah were prompt, attentive to my concerns, patient with questions, and forthcoming with useful recommendations. They were respectful of our home, left things neat, and were true professionals in every sense.We had a couple of minor issues as we closed out this large project, but given the complexity of a broadscale marrying of new technology to an existing set-up that is to be expected. Carlos has remained responsive as things come up.It was quite an investment, yet I am glad we went with Pat Murphy. I feel safer in our home and happy that power has been restored to all areas of it.

I was extremely satisfied with the Pat Murphy Electric service installing a new line / outlets outside and repairing existing outlets. Carlos who gave me the estimate and did the work is outstanding. He discusses not only in laymans terms the work but takes the time to understand what you want and if there may be other considerations. He cares about the work as if it is his own home. I would give 100 stars but it only let me put 5.I have used many different service providers in all trades over the past 20+ years. Pat Murphy is excellent! One of the best! They stand by their work and provide a warranty. Everything they do is up to code and no shortcuts. Our house was built in 1925 and the wiring is the same age. They were able to figure it out when other companies could not (you get what you pay for).I will only use Pat Murphy from here on.Ask for Carlos and Gabe. They were super knowledgeable and extremely professional. I can’t say enough great things about these two!

We were pleased with the “holiday” price considering and the tech was very nice an informative. Obviously they are closed but a live person (answering service) took our information and said the company would call first thing in the morning. Surprisingly, that’s exactly what happened. They called, asked what happened, offered times for same day, and explained how pricing would work. Within an hour or so, the electrician Nick, called and let me know he was on the way and from where he was coming. Once at the house, Nick walked through, asked what happened, showed and explained what was the issue was. He then gave a quote for the absolute immediate necessity and a quote for the future things to repair.It was my choice to pay for more things to get done and at no time did I think Nick was “upselling”. It was just a matter of getting some faulty wiring corrected before the problem.I highly recommend this company. They’ve been receptive, punctual, and informative on two very different occasions. Folks that get upset about prices should realize, plumbing and electricity are still trades that have apprenticeships for a reason. No one thing goes wrong. It a series of things that caused that one issue.

Today I had Kevin Chacon and Jean Joseph come out to troubleshoot a circuit breaker that was constantly tripping for our washing machine circuit. Both individuals were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and willing to go to great lengths to fix my problem. They ended up going the extra mile to find a suitable replacement part for the faulty circuit breaker the same day they came out and had it fixed by early afternoon. Absolutely fantastic service! Couldnt ask for anything better!

This is the second time Ive used Pat Murphy Electric. While they arent the cheapest option available, they do a great job and I trust their work. Daniel Devoid was the electrician sent this time around, and he worked quickly, checked with me where there were questions about what needed to be done (chandelier), and seemed to do quality work without charging for anything unnecessary (box in bathroom light fixture already present). I will use them again in future.
