Our ceiling fan project came with some challenges including 18’ rafter loft ceiling, need for a support beam, and running electric for a nonexistent fan. HVAC ground blew on a Monday evening prior to us come in from an outing. I called the provider and explained the circumstances. They told me that I needed an electrician. I called Handy Electrician based on a knowing him, his wife guided us during our home purchase, and the fact that he protects his business’s reputation via every interaction. I spoke with him about the circumstances, sent the attached pictures, and was shocked when he said give him an hour or so…He arrived within the hour with replacement parts in hand. In and out within 30 minutes…I have to say that we paid to get the issue resolved and for his expertise. Done and done. You will never waste a dime dealing with this Master Electrician. I cannot endorse this business enough. Sharing information with all my neighbors. Looking forward to the installation of two ceiling fans and Ring Camera/ floodlight over the garage. I was given a one-hour appointment window and, when they realized I had inadvertently been given the wrong kind of appointment, called ahead to let me know and make sure I was OK to proceed with the correct service. Percy was very professional and communicated what I needed to know as he worked, and diagnosed & resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. It was an easy appointment, no surprise fees, and he let me know what to keep an eye out for in the future to avoid this happening again. When my daughter bought a house in Atlanta that we knew it needed a lot of work but did not plan for needing a complete rewiring and fast. I started researching area electricians. We had several different contractors come out for quotes, but Percy’s background, fast response, professionalism, and fair price was the reason we choose Handy Electrician. We had a deadline to perform a major remodeling of the home in only a few months. Percy and his team worked with us or more like around us, as we performed demolition and rebuilding while they worked to get the home rewired and ready for inspection.As the plans for the remodel where always being adjusted Percy rolled with the changes that we ask him to make. We had one light control center with multiple switches and needed to add an additional switch. I remember telling Percy I felt bad making him take it apart to add another switch because with all the wiring that had to be brought into those boxes I could not believe how clean and organized he made it.I have had Percy back several times to make a few more changes and additions. He is always quick to respond, gets the job done and price is always reasonable. I would highly recommend Handy Electrician for any size job.

Percy is THE BEST!!! I just got a house built in the 1920’s and needed a flood light replaced. I looked on Nextdoor Cabbagetown and there were like 2 dozen rave reviews for the Handy Electrician. I called and he answered immediately and was so nice and professional! We scheduled a time for him to come see the job and after looking at the wires he said, I’m sorry to say your wires are totally bare and I can just replace the flood light but it is a major fire hazard and I can’t leave here in good conscious having not warned you! I had another electrician come and check the house for a second opinion and sure enough ALL the wiring was at least 100 years old. So I hired Percy and his crew to come retire the entire house.Now this house was built in the 20’s. Every wall posed a new problem. But Percy and his team cranked it out and got the entire job done in two weeks!! This is a 3 bed 2 bath house with crazy old outdated stuff going on. They met every challenge with creative solutions and put dimmers and fixtures throughout.I can’t recommend Percy enough. He is the most genuine, humble and solid guy. I trust him and I trust his work. He was fair in his pricing and super accountable.Best electrician ever.

I was extremely pleased with the work he and his associate, Gary, completed.After installing the new ceiling fan they re-installed our existing fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms and changed out several outlets. Upon completion of the work, Percy took the time to demonstrate that the ceiling fans and outlets were operable. And he also ensured any waste and debris from the work was disposed of.Additionally, I was impressed with Percys commitment to train and teach a student. During the install, Gary shared with me that he was still in school and working as an apprentice; Percy was teaching him how to do electrical work. It was apparent when I overheard Percy giving Gary guidance and/or feedback on his work.
