We were referred to McCall Enterprises by a neighbor. We called McCall on a Monday to hang a chandelier from an 18’ ceiling at our home, the work was scheduled for the next morning (New Year’s Eve day) between 8-8:30am. Terrell arrived promptly at 8am and began to work. Throughout the entire project, Terrell was friendly, courteous and professional. The work was done in just over an hour and the chandelier looks fantastic. We would hire them again.

This is an overdue review!! Terrell came out to give me a quote on a grounding rod that our old home needs. He was on time, friendly, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable! He gave me a very fair quote for not only the grounding rod but some other work we will need to tend to in the future. We were under contract for the home so I couldnt hire him to do the project at the time but when we have the money we know exactly who we are going to call!! Wed been experiencing issues with the wiring for our facility for several weeks. Though several individuals tried to narrow down the problem, the repair was never quite right and did not last as one would expect.Terrell however, came out and found the problem within a short time and ordered the parts needed to make the repair a permanent one. Terrell McCall is a real life hero. We had a tree down after a storm that caused significant electrical damage. There isnt much worse than being without power in 95+ degree heat. Mr. McCall has done work for me in a previous home and there is no one else I would have even thought to call. When he answered he remembered my name and came out to assess the damage quickly. Not only did Terrell respond quickly, but he worked tirelessly to get us back into our home. He is knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly responsive. (He arrived early for my 7:45am appointment but parked around the corner so as not to pressure me). Terrell was punctual, courteous, and honest with his assessment of the different improvements I would need. He handled everything regarding coordination with the City inspectors and Georgia Power when installing the new breaker panel and service wire. He worked quickly and always kept us in the loop when he hit a roadblock and had to take a slightly different approach. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for McCall Enterprises! Terrell had to come out to our house to replace a GFI outlet that was taken out by the lightning storm we had 2 weeks ago as well as checking the whole house for other electrical issues. This happened on Monday and Terrell came out the very next day!! He even came early!!!!Nobody does that anymore or even show up on time, so I was very impressed!! Terrell also noticed that our house was not grounded....this is why we are having so many electrical issues when it storms. He came out a week later to install 2 rods to help ground our home. I was a little concerned because he had to drill holes in our newly paved sidewalk.I was for sure that it would crack but it didnt!! McCall Enterprises is definitely a keeper in my books!! Terrell came out to inspect/quote the fixes for a home we were under contract on and I cant say enough good things. He was a direct recommendation from someone I know. I walked the inspection with him and he caught something I overlooked because youd never think to check for it. He didnt hesitate to have me along for the walkthrough and communicated during.Worth mention, Im an electrical engineer by trade. Always hire another PE to sign off on work youre invested in. I hired McCall enterprises, and unless his name is a huge coincidence, I ended up with the owner. Always a good sign.We are buying our first home and having good contractors was worth every single friend I annoyed until I had the right list of recommendations.Long review, because I have to explain what he uncovered and why it was a lifesaver.First, I happened to know from taking it apart with my general inspector a few days before that the screws used to attach the outer panel cover to the wall were wrong. This might not seem like it matters, but you NEED to use blunt ends near electrical wires. Anyone putting sharp ends through a wall near an electrical panel has screwed (no pun intended) up. I already knew when I went through it earlier that I had a risk of shorts and damaged wires. I wasnt knowingly testing him, but I did check that the first thing he did was take that cover off (which your inspector should be doing) and immediately mentioned that those screws needed replaced and wrote it down. Its something seemingly small that not many people would notice if it wasnt mentioned, but to a good electrician it is an automatic NO, BAD.From there, he had my trust and we (he, I was along for the ride) figured out this mess of a house. The house was built in the 20s so the sellers put in a little bit of money...and made 0 good decisions.The home was newly rewired, and wired pretty well. They didnt actually connect most wires or label anything (one of many code violations), but I knew how to fix that.Should I have gone and checked the service panel? Yes. Did I not because so many things were happening and I assumed it was also updated? Also yes. New wiring was for 200. I assumed it wasnt hooked up because they didnt bother. I dont assume now. People do WEIRD stuff. I have learned a LOT in this process, mainly from great contractors.My general inspector saw the service panel was rated like 100 and was very old. How is the house on? Dont ask me. Am I now worried that the wires arent hooked up because the other electrician saw that, said NOPE, capped it all and left? Yes.The new panel was in the back of the home and the meter out front, so we went looking for the old wiring because it would have been closer to the meter.He noticed something I had totally forgotten about. An electrical panel that had been painted over in the room behind the meter. I just assumed it was the old panel and out of commission. I could easily pull it out. A very old home will have that sort of thing.Terrell had to get out a screwdriver to open it. THEY HAD HOOKED THE NEW WIRES THROUGH THE OLD BOX TO THE OLD METER. No way the house could have actually been supported. I dont blame whoever did the rewire, I wouldnt have connected those wires either.On top of finding this in about 30 minutes or less, hes just a nice person. Hes responsive. The quote he gave me to deal with everything in that house was more than reasonable, far less than I expected.But the most important thing is that hes honest. If youre dealing with electrical issues, youre probably already stressed out. By the time we had found that panel he had asked me is it too late to back out on this house. There is no reason for him to do that, it literally costs him work. He had no hesitation. But the good people are the ones that know that if you stay a good person that it works out in the long run. I hope you hire him, I will definitely not be shy about recommending him.
