The other reviewers are correct, OikoSystems is a an exceptional professional services provider for Arlington homeowners. We used them for two different painting jobs, including a challenging paint job on our chimney that was recently repaired. Both jobs were completed very professionally and quickly.

We worked with Oiko Systems to complete a number of home improvement jobs in the Spring of 2022. The results were better than expected, and I can highly recommend working with Maria and Dimitrios. They were both very professional, communicated regularly, keeping us up to date on expectations, timing, scheduling, work to be done, potential challenges, etc.Oikos helped us order a door (provide accurate measurements and ensure that it would be a good fit) and installed it for us. When installing, Dimitrios took the time to make sure that the job was done right, by adding some insulation where there was to be a gap in the wall, touching up the paint on the trim, finding the right trim and installing it to all look outstanding upon completion!We also had them paint several rooms for us. The paint required almost no touch ups, as they did such a quality job.And the biggest project was removing our drop ceiling in our basement and lights and replacing it with drywall and updated led lights, followed by painting it all. We requested ceiling wells to have extra overhead space in two areas, and Dimitrios worked his magic on them. The job looks amazing!!We will definitely be working with them again, as the work was top notch, they team was professional and courteous, and they went above and beyond in a few ways to show that the job quality and their reputation was important to them.

I highly recommend OikoSystems! I am a professional organizer and decorator and have teamed up with Maria and Dimitrios for various project for a few years now. I have always been happy with the quality of work and treatment my clients and I have received. They are really great to work with and have a strong grasp on what type of work they are equipped to do well and what tasks they recommend someone else do. I appreciate that! So many contractors out where will get in over their heads and leave you in the lurch. Not so with them. Thats why I keep having them back! :)

I cannot say enough good things about not only Dimitrios, who has been THE guy I call for anything outside my (very handy, but with limits) skill set in my last two homes (this one and the one we sold two years ago with many improvements he had done!)--but also about his wife, Maria, who runs the office side of the business. With these two at the helm, Oiko Systems is a reliable, easy to schedule with, reasonably priced, friendly business that I will never stray from! You email with a project or projects you need done--I usually attach photos so they can give an accurate estimate-- schedule and hear back from Maria within 24 hours at MOST, with a date Dimitrios can come and the cost estimate. The great thing about the estimate is that its not an estimate - unless youve grossly underestimated the projects scope to them, the price they give you is the price you pay. NO upcharges. No surprises. Dimitrios has assembled two different playhouse/treehouses for us (he wont do them from scratch, but if you buy a kit he will assemble it for you), a gardening shed bench/potting bench, hung curtain rods, added shelving, installed an entire dry bar/cabinet in an empty closet space in my kitchen that was HUGE selling point when I sold my house, installed our wired ring doorbell in both homes, and does all sort of little jobs too while hes here - repairing a warped fence slat, fixing a gate latch, hammering down a loose shingle on the eave of the roof, etc. Hes so helpful and friendly and kind that sometimes I call him even for things i CAN do, because i love giving business to a small, family owned business. Maria and Dimitrios have two adorable young kids and are just all-around wonderful human beings. We have used them for over four years now, maybe five. I recommend them to everyone I know. Im actually a little reticent to post this review, as I dont want them to get SO busy that I cant get on their schedule! ;-) But honestly, there are very few businesses that I recommend unequivocally - I am picky and hard to please, and theres always something, like an electrician whos great but too expensive, or a plumber who is affordable and reliable but talks too much, etc. I have absolutely ZERO such qualms about recommending Oiko Systems. You will not regret calling them!

Maria supervised our jobs in a very hands-on way, she made great suggestions for design, and Dimitrios and Luis were both great on the actual construction/repairs. Well continue to use OikoSystems when we need work done and highly recommend them.

We’ve worked with Maria & Dimitrios 3 times now. They’ve done fantastic work with excellent communication every time. A rare find! They just wrapped up remodeling portions of our guest bedroom and closet to make them far more usable, including some beautiful built-in shelves/racks. Looking forward to working with them again!

We had a very good experience using OikoSystems to repair some water damage in our ceiling after an AC unit leak. They were very responsive over email and arrived punctually for the job. We had some miscommunication about the work that needed to be done, but Maria made sure that they made it right.

OikoSystems was quick to reply to my request for a quote and worked with me to provide the quote in a manner our insurance would accept. The work is seamless - its not at all noticeable there was a burst pipe and missing 3 foot section of ceiling in our bathroom. They went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with their work as well as keeping the workspace tidy for the two days they needed to complete the gut and repair. Great team!

Weve been using Oiko Systems for years after cycling through multiple home improvement/handyman service companies. After our first time using Oiko Systems, we knew wed use them again. Our first few visits included small handyman type work. We quickly saw what impeccable work they did and started using them for bigger projects, such as painting, building furniture, small renovations, etc. There have been a few projects we asked about and appreciated their honesty when they said it wasnt something they could do (electrical work). Not only do they do great work and they do it at a reasonable price, theyre on time, honest, polite and trustworthy. This is a small, family owned, local business that were happy to support. Weve recommended them to many friends and will continue to recommend them!

We have used OikoSystems for all our handyman needs for several years and we have been happy with the quality of their workmanship, their amazing work ethic, and great value for money. We have had drywall repairs and painting following plumbing maintenance; they have replaced two cork tiles in our sunroom that had been damaged by our dog and they have retiled our fireplace. We will definitely continue using them for all our handyman needs.

Highly recommend Oikos! Maria and Dimitrios could not be a better team. Highly responsive and professional. All of the work they have completed for us has been of excellent quality and meticulously done. They are a pleasure to work with! They have done a wide variety of projects for our family over the past 5 years including a full bathroom renovation, installing recessed lighting, drywall and paint repair of ceilings and refinishing out screened porch floor.

Dimitrios and Maria are fantastic, providing quick responses via text and great service. We had a water leak through our upstairs bathroom ceiling and they were able to quickly give us an estimate via the pictures I sent. Dimitrios repaired the section and promptly came back when it was dry and time to sand, Maria coordinated each visit smoothly via text. So easy to work with, and even though he patched up a broken piece of trim near the attic stairs, the final bill wasnt a dollar more than the estimate. Would definitely use Oiko again.

OikoSystems did a fabulous job renovating our bathroom! From the beginning, they were great about communication and helping me prepare for the renovation by selecting all the materials. They picked up samples for me and helped me make decisions quickly. The actual renovation was done perfectly, with all the major work completed in just 7 days, which is unheard of for a gut renovation. Within another 7 days, the entire punch list was completed. They were so great about quickly troubleshooting those issues that inevitably come up in a renovation, like some of the tile we ordered arriving scratched. They found a way to replace it immediately from another store and went to go get it since we were away on vacation. We are very pleased with the results, which are just beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Our home was also left in perfect condition with no renovation dust left behind. The quality of the plumbing, tile, lighting, painting, and other work is outstanding. I highly recommend their services and will be using them again. We have also used them for a variety of other home items, such as drywall repair, furniture assembly, hanging heavy items, lighting installation, and other tasks. Always an A+ job!

Dimitrios removed an existing vanity, light, mirror and toilet in our powder room and installed new items we purchased. He also fixed some small things around the house. He showed up on time, worked fast, and did a great job. I received a clear line item estimate in advance and he stuck to it.

Maria and her team did an excellent job replacing 60 or so rotten window and corner trim pieces. They maintained an aggressive schedule each day, regardless of the heat, and definitely put in a full days work each day. They were very neat; they cleaned up around the house each day and consolidated their tools and materials. They respected our home and property. I was especially impressed with Maria; she showed up and remained on site every day from start to finish -- I have never seen a business owner do that before. I would certainly use the Oiko team again.

I highly recommend OikoSystems. In our basement, we had them do some electrical work, building a bulkhead cover on the ceiling, and general repairs. Their work was excellent, and we will definitely be using them again for future house projects!
