I’ve recently hired MPR on 3 different occasions (purchased a new home recently). If I could give a 10/10, I would. Michigan Power Rodding were hands down excellent! I wouldnt bother considering anybody else. Eric and Steven were the team that descaled and cleaned our main line. They were exceedingly nice, easy to talk to, patient with questions, and explained things clearly. Besides the fact that their work was outstanding, they were just nice to have around and would be welcome guests back at our house any time. On top of all that, the price they charged for the work was about $500 less than the other service we considered. Give these folks a call!

That was very dishonest and disappointing.A few days later I was put in touch with a manager who offered to send over a cleaning specialist. The specialist came and was really nice. He used some chemicals and the marks came right off.

Michigan Power Rodding for the win!!! Our utility room floor was flooded after 5 today and I called, expecting to leave a message for tomorrow morning, when a cheerful receptionist answered. Said she could get someone out here between 7-10 (!)! Tech arrived, took care of business reaming out roots in the sewer 100’ to the street, saving me from rearranging my whole day of clients tomorrow (never mind flushing no toilets or taking any shower or using any water until someone could come). No “after hours” up charge unless you call them after 9pm!!! Their techs are always cheerful, pick up after themselves, and make the entirely gross seem like no big deal.

This company really cares about its reputation and the work/services the company provides. I called with an emergency and they sent a tech out within thirty minutes. The tech fixed the primary issue with ease. Without going into detail, there was a secondary issue that was temporarily fixed that night, and the next morning the service manager and another tech showed up to complete the second piece. The service manager was exceptional, and made sure that I was happy when everything was completed. It is also worth noting that the representative that answers their phones is wonderful. I spoke with the same woman three times and she couldn’t have been better to work with. Thank you for your help!

I called around 8am about a clogged kitchen sink and slow to drain bath tub. The customer service person was incredibly friendly and offered me several 3-hour time slots the same day, including one from 7-9pm after work hours.I chose 2-5pm and at 2:45pm got a call that the tech was on his way and should arrive within a half hour. My tech was incredibly friendly, gave me an exact quote, and had the problem solved within 1 hour. In addition, he was incredibly diligent about keeping the house clean - even his rolling cart had wheel covers!I hope to never need a plumber again, but if I do, Ill be calling Michigan Power Rodding.

Eric did a great job. We had a drain that kept clogging right in the junction beneath one of our bathrooms and spent years plunging and running Drano to keep it open until it closed up for good and we couldnt get anything in that room to drain. So for the first time I relented and looked for help.I went through a Facebook friend whose son was a plumber, and he recommended these guys because his company works with them. The office scheduled my appointment around my schedule the next day, and Eric got there in the first hour of a 4 hour window. He was really nice and let me walk him through the problem, worked with it a little bit, then came to me with an estimate and an explanation for the price, which was reasonable based on their website and what I had googled for price ranges (we live in WL so there was a trip fee which was reasonable and also expected).We approved it and he went to work; he had to pull up the whole toilet which I thought was going to be a whole ordeal but I just hung out and went about my afternoon. A few shaking pipes and about 15 minutes later and the bathroom was draining on all fronts better than ever.When he left the bathroom was cleaner than he left it and the drains work better than when we bought the house. Nice guy, great service, and the office followed up to make sure it went well. Would recommend 10/10, made my first encounter with a plumbing service easy, pain-free and feeling like I made a good choice.

Poo spewed from the basement grate. Need I say more? Got Michigan Power Rodding from a referral from another plumber and are super satisfied. Called at 8 am, schedule 10-1. Christopher showed up around 10:30, out around noon. Extremely helpful. Had to move stuff around to get to the drains which is what took most of the time. Prices were clear and laid out in a big binder and he didnt start the work until I agreed to them. He explained what he was doing the whole time, the possibilities and finally the solution. Cleared another drain for me though it wasnt on the schedule. Fast and friendly service! Cannot be happier!

However, Cara called this morning to apologize and to offer to do the pipe blockage cleaning for no charge. They even came after 5:00 when I could be at home. This company is by far the best and most professional at what they do! Let me explain:For almost a year weve been having problems with all of our toilets (clogging, backing up, constant plunging/snaking). Weve even had a handyman come out because we thought it may have been our water pressure or pipes. All he did was snake the toilets and the problem reappeared shortly after...Yesterday we called Michigan Power Rodding and they arrived shortly after we called! Not only were they friendly and professional, but they were able to troubleshoot the problem extremely fast! They even showed me how all of my piping and plumbing worked. They were able to identify that it wasnt our pipes that were the problem, but the toilets themselves! We decided to go through them to purchase new toilets with installation and a warranty. Although they will also install toilets you purchase on your own. They provided us with so many options for toilets that met our budget that we ended up being able to replace all of our toilets. It was like upgrading from a 4 cylinder car to a rocket ship!Pros:Fast, efficient, friendly, honest, professional hard working staff.Same/next day installation!Able to meet the needs of all budgets!Provide warranty for their work.When installing toilets they take the old one with them and leave the bathroom spotless after performing work.The staff wear masks and shoe covers when inside the house.Cons:None.We are very thankful to Michigan Power Rodding for finally solving our problems, especially Stephen, who went out of his way to provide the best customer experience possible! This is the only company were calling for all future plumbing issues! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Michigan Power Rodding came out to investigate a potentially collapsed drain (as per a previous plumbing companys read days prior). The staff member showed up with the proper tools (previous company did not) and was able to remove the blockage ~3 feet down the line (where the previous company was not). He looked at the blockage debris and was able to tell me that it was not a collapsed pipe and the televising wasnt necessary, saving me over $300. In-and-out in under an hour. Flat rate service fee is a little unfortunate for what turned out to be a quick job, but wouldnt want to fault them for being efficient!

Professional, on time, responsive, and great communicators. Mark was very clear on the price (very reasonable) prior to starting and explained exactly what he was about to do. Sewer was flowing into my basement from the street. Mark rodded my old clay sewer pipes out three times and no obstructions. He checked the storm sewer manholes in the street and found they were holding water. He contacted the City but they were not interested in a service call late at night. In fact there were going to charge me for the call. We were the only ones having trouble. Mark once again checked three sanitary manholes in the street with the City on the phone and convinced them to send someone out. He was now with us over two hours and no change in the price. The city sewer had two clogs. Mark could have left after he found out it was a City problem but stayed to make sure they were coming to resolve the issue.

I called Michigan Power Rodding and they were able to send someone out within two hours, on a Saturday night, without charging me extra for a weekend/after-hours call. The guy who came out was incredibly professional, determined the issue, and was very upfront about the cost to clear the line. He also cleaned up every bit of mess and entertained me with stories of some of the stuff hes snaked out of peoples drains. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be calling them if I ever need them again.

We had a backup in our basement drain and it was a total mess. MPR came out super quick and took care of it. There were a ton of roots in the pipe and it looked like it we may have to dig it up and have the pipe changed. But the technician worked so hard to get it cleared and didnt give up on it. He eventually got it cleared and its been flowing fine. The service was great. Highly recommended.

We had a problem with a couple of inches of water on the floor of our garage during very heavy rainfall due to what we thought was a clogged drain. The service rep worked diligently for 2 hours to try to fix it but turns out it was probably a dry well that did not have an outlet that he could clear. Greg, the owner, reduced the charge to only a service call. They were helpful and friendly though the entire process. Highly recommend.

I had a slow drain pipe that was backing up the basement drain onto the floor every time I ran the dishwasher. I called Saturday afternoon and the response was fast; I had a tech at my house within 2 hours. He walked me through the estimate and wasnt hard selling any option. He was done and cleaned up in 45 minutes and the drain runs great now. This is the 4th plumber I have brought in to work on or give estimates, and the other 3 were straight garbage compared to Ryan at MPR. $60 service call fee was waived with any work done, and the total came to $234; not bad for Saturday evening work.

Id like to give a shout out to Michigan Power Rodding, and to Stephen Patton in particular, for their excellent service today!We used MPR once back in 2006 and the engagement didnt go so well, so we never did business with them again. We were referred to them this spring by plumbers we had out to give us quotes on some other work, so we decided to give them another try. Turns out the tech who did the work back in 06 made some mistakes that they would have made right had we followed up and complained (but we didnt... lesson learned!).They made it right today by giving us great service for the three clogged drains we were dealing with and providing some solid straight forward advice on a couple of other issues weve been wondering about. I also learned that they are now the official contractor for UM, so that says something right there.Next time you have a clogged line, give them a call. Were happy to give them all of our future drain clearing business (its a regular thing around here)!

In fact, other plumbing companies provided estimates in excess of $4,000 and proposed cutting into my basement concrete. Michigan Power Rodding cleared the drain their standard rate and did not cut any concrete. Their professionalism and results were the best. I will ONLY call Michigan Power Rodding when I have any plumbing issues.

ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVERS!! My first home buying experience was going fine for the first two weeks until we noticed the basement strting to flood with the laundry and eventually any water component. MPR was able to come out the same day I called (on a weekend no less) and determined within minutes that it was due to our connection to the city’s sewer line and could be cleared without much fuss. I can now run all of my water components without fear and finally begin to enjoy home-living! Thanks again MPR!

After trying everything I could, I decided I didnt have the tools or mettle to unclog our bathroom sink. After searching around and calling a number of companies, I ended up with Michigan power rodding and was completely satisfied. While this kind of work is never cheap, they were up front about the pricing and accepted a coupon I found on their site. Furthermore, they were respectful, careful, cleaned everything up well, and got the work done quickly.All in all, I highly recommend this company. They were great!

Very punctual (early even) and professional, saved me a monster of a headache waiting for my landlord appointed maintenance guy. Charlie was very friendly and efficient. I work downtown Ann Arbor in the restaurant industry and have seen their trucks in alleys all around town, so I knew who to call. No b.s., straight shooters. Estimate clear and up front, unlike others who had little to no quotes over the phone. I would highly recommend them. Glad to have a fully functioning porcelain throne again! Thank you!
