This company is as good as all these reviews suggest. My furnace wouldnt turn on and I had been dealing with another HVAC company sent by my home warranty company. After a lot of frustration, I found Fry online myself and, after reading these reviews, called on a Monday morning to check availability. Literally that afternoon, Adam -- a fantastic, polite, and knowledgeable technician -- was at my house diagnosing the issue. The issue was the circuit board, but given that my furnace was 23 years old, I opted to replace the entire unit. Adam said they could replace it Tuesday morning -- literally the next day! Adam and another technician named Tom, who was also extremely professional and polite, installed it Tuesday morning. Unbelievable service. Amber, the person in the office when you call, is equally helpful and polite. Incredible professionals -- just imagine if all HVAC companies were like this...I rarely, if ever, leave reviews. But this company was incredible.ADDITION 1 year later -- I have used Frye several times since this review (above), and theyve been terrific. Ive especially like to call out Jennifer Shoupe, the office administrator, as one of the most responsive, respectful, and knowledgeable front office folks Ive worked with. Very impressive.

He listens to you, which doesn’t always happen when I have male technicians work in my house as a woman. He checks that he got everything and there are no other concerns. I love Fry Heating and Cooling! I had my furnace replaced last fall by Chris Huerta 5 stars and now just got a new central air system installed. One of the very best things about Fry is how happy and friendly their workers are. I chose Fry because of Amber who was so much fun on the phone! The guys are great too! Daniel, Connor, and Cole came out to do the AC and were so much fun and busy too. They worked so hard to do this install perfectly. I highly recommend Fry. So glad I found them online.

Very happy with the work and the crew. I particularly like Fry’s use of technology to make life easy for folks with service appointments. No more wondering where the tech is at! The installed equipment is just light years ahead of anything I’ve ever seen. Access and control through the panel or my phone. No more worrying about did I turn the heat off, etc. And a plug for DTE customers… get the free Insight app and the gateway and have a real time view of the electricity you are using and how much you are saving with modern heat pump based electric equipment.

Incredible service and communication.Woke up the morning of a two week vacation out of the country to my AC not working. I called around and Fry was the only service that could coordinate something with me that day. They worked their schedule around to get someone out to me within a few hours and got me back up and running to keep the air on for the cats while I was gone!

My two-year-old air conditioner wasnt working very well and was freezing up every so often. I didnt want to call the installers because I was unhappy with them. I sent an online message to 2 or 3 companies and Fry replied fairly quickly. They had an opening within a couple of days and Craig came to look at my unit. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and found that the refrigerant was low in the unit. He also found and replaced a valve that was not working properly and was likely the source of the leak. He charged the air conditioner with refrigerant and then wanted to come back in 2 weeks to see if it had leaked or if changing the valve fixed it. When he returned, he determined that it was not leaking. It was cooling well but we told him that when it was 90° or warmer that the air conditioner was not able to keep the house cool. When we told him that, he looked at it again and wanted to make another adjustment to try to improve the cooling even further. He really wanted to make sure that our unit was working optimally and that we were as comfortable as possible in our home.

Daniel was on time, friendly, went through things in a systematic manner and explained exactly what he was looking for, how things worked or were supposed to work. He found the problem, fixed it quickly and charged what I considered a very reasonable fee for a same day Saturday service call. I would 100% use Fry again for home repairs and Daniel represents your company very well.

Because he didnt have a workable sealant, another appointment was scheduled.I would highly recommend Fry for your ac needs. John was courteous, professional and went above aand beyond to explain fixable options.Also, thru John, I learned Fry does plumbing. I explained my plumbing issues. John took the time to go thru my house with me to assess what I wanted accomplished. I am awaiting an estimate for said plumbing concerns.

They were able to send a technician to my home the same day I called...(it has been consistently hot so Im sure there were MANY other issues like mine to tend to) other companies in the area had quite a wait time. I received text updates about the window of time the tech would be arriving and a picture of who to expect! What a great feature to comfort folks in this crazy world. Anyway...he called and asked if it was OK if he showed up early, which was great! The text even offered GPS tracking so I knew when to be there to meet him. Austin S. was kind, professional and fast...what more could you ask for? He explained what he was doing and why things werent working. Im so thankful the experience went so well.

Fry Heating and Cooling is exactly the company you want to work with when theres a heatwave and you cant figure out whats wrong with your AC. Called Fry at 8am and spoke to Amber who immediately got me on Cameron Taylors schedule for later that morning. He wrapped up his other job earlier than expected so arrived within the hour. Cameron listened to our AC unit for what seemed like a millisecond and said I know exactly what the problem is. Less than a half an hour later cool air was once again flowing. He also highlighted another issue with our elderly AC unit that might pop up in the future just so I was aware. Super professional, super nice, great value for even greater service. Fry H&C came over last Friday to replace my furnace thats close to 30 years old with York TM9V080B12MP 17.5 in (B) Width, 80 MBH, 96.0% AFUE, 2-Stage, 1200 CFM ECM Variable Speed Blower.I am pleased with the overall experience:> Very effective communication, especially with the use of web, email, text, and phone. For this service, I worked with 4 companies to get estimates and Fry is the only one with an internet-based communication.> Dan, the sales, was pretty effective. He came to my house and was able to provide estimates in an hour via email. The email not only contained the PDF estimates but also a link to a site that I can see the same detail and an option to agree to each service.> The estimates were in the affordable range right away with an okay brand. I had to negotiate with other HVAC companies to come to the same range.> They were able to come 3 days earlier than originally scheduled. This is especially appreciated in this hot summer.> On the day of the work, the crew, Jess, Connor, and Cole, came over very promptly as scheduled and were professional on going in/out and moving HVAC units. The work was done reasonably well, based on things I can see: all the connections are properly sealed inside and outside, pipes, furnace, and existing A/C all lined up straight. Although there were some screws and pieces around the furnace after they were done, they did okay on keeping things clean. We just vacuumed for 5 minutes afterwards.> After 4 days, the unit runs smoothly. No complaint so far.I will definitely check with them if the need to replace existing A/C comes up a few years down the road.

Tom and Matt arrived in time and worked diligently to uninstall the old furnace and install the new one. Our furnace is located deep in a crawl space which made for a challenging install. However, the team executed it well and stayed late to clean up the job site. We are very happy.

From beginning to end, all around professionalism! From Amber taking my call, after hours on a Friday evening/Douglas showing up to give a quote & thoroughly explain the process, and lets not forget Tom and Johnathan, the installers who worked relentlessly, on the HOTTEST day recorded in 2021 to install an outside unit! Dan at the office, explaining services and warranties, albeit, he never did mention his title...PS - hes the owner! ;) Did I mention 2 day turnaround & done! Im definitely going to be using this company whenever I need these services!

We just had a new Air Conditioner system installed in our home (AC condenser and Evaporator coil) by Fry Heating & Cooling. The whole process was seamless, beginning with their estimator Douglas Pienta, who provided me with several equipment options and pricing, scheduled my installation appointment, and responded to all my questions with a great attitude and knowledge. Their technicians Cameron Taylor and Jonathan Anderson; arrived on time to the installation appointment, followed all safety precautions, removed the old equipment, packaging, and debris from my house, installed, started up, tested the new equipment, and showed me how to use it correctly while answering all my questions and concerns. Their workmanship, expertise, and thoroughness during the install was top-notch. Their professionalism is a clear reflection of the company’s leaders and how well they run their business; no wonder that Fry Heating & Cooling has been in business for over 90 years. We will definitely do business with them again.
