I am very grateful to have met Austin and highly recommend him.I was recommend by a friend who had some renovation work on their house and was very happy with the results. I had to replace my boiler and after getting a few other recommendations for other companies in town and getting a few quotes, I ultimately went with Austin and am extremely happy with the results.He was very professional and thorough and genuinely seemed like he cared and wanted to help. He was the only company that gave me multiple options and explained the pros and cons of each. He is one-man operation and replaced my boiler quickly and efficiently.Communication was excellent and I was even able to ask follow-up questions a few weeks after completion that he was happy to help me with.I have recommended him to a few friends who are also very happy with his work and I will continue to use him for any plumbing/heating issues I have.Great guy, great company. 10/10

I had a plumbing emergency, I called 3 companies and Austin was by far the most personable and quick to respond with a fair price and seemed the most knowledgeable. I had to go out of town and he was able to complete the work quickly and a job well done and left my place clean. Thanks Austin. Good to have a tradesman I can count on!

Can’t recommend Austin and Northern Mechanical enough. We’ve been through hell the last two years with bad contractors and subs who don’t know what they were doing, were lazy about their jobs, didn’t communicate at all and weren’t the nicest. Austin and Northern Mechanical were none of that. First class work and service. They care about the work that is being done. Highly recommend.

Recently my over-50-year-old bathroom sink fell completely off from the wall. It was disastrous. My house was built in 1935 - and there are still things that have not been updated since the 1970’s.I needed a new sink. I needed a stable pedestal sink.It was by a recommendation that I called Austin Vergis. He was attentive to my explanation of what had happened and what I needed. We made an appointment for him to come and assess and do the work. On that Monday he texted he was on the way and arrived promptly.A handshake and looking you in the eyes - goes a long way with me - and made for a good start.In looking at what a mess I had, he evaluated what needed and could be done. Old pipes also needed to be replaced - and he gave me several options on what we could do.And then he went to work. My bathroom is small. This was not an easy task.Through it all, I became so impressed with his politeness and his professionalism and courteousness with my time and with being in my home.He got the job done beautifully. My bathroom feels like a brand new one. I could not be happier (and relieved)I’ll add that if you engage in a conversation with Austin, you learn that he’s a family man who chose to come to Albuquerque and make it his home. Starting is own business. I got a brand new water heater and water softener installed all in one day. Everything is working perfectly. He was prompt and made the whole process easy for us. I trusted him and he did everything exactly how he said he would. He had to change out gas lines, water lines and a little bit of electrical for this install. It was a big job but he made it happen! I would recommend Northern Mechanical Plumbing for anything plumbing related.

I requested a quote for installation of a whole-house humidifier system, as my wife suffers from terrible dry skin issues in our New Mexico winters. Unfortunately, Austin discovered the system I selected did not fit correctly in our cramped utility closet.After some research, he located a high quality unit that attached directly to our furnace and fits within the small space he had to work with. My wife and I are now enjoying nearly 40% humidity in our home!Austin was honest and up front about all aspects of the project. His work was clean and professional. I plan to use him for any future plumbing/HVAC needs and highly recommend his small firm.

He also went out of his way to repair our boiler that was having some issues. He fixed only what was wrong and did not try to upsell the fix.
