    We are new customers of MGP. We got a message about halfway through our two-hour estimated arrival window that our technician was delayed and then another message when he was on his way. We appreciate being kept in the loop.Antonio arrived and was quite professional. He was there to tune-up our furnace and to discuss their annual service agreement (which we signed up for). He was efficient and thorough. The furnace was super-clean when he was finished. He changed our three ceiling filters as well. We look forward to working with MGP twice a year for the annual servicing of our air conditioner and our furnace.

    Another great experience with MGP Mechanical. They installed a new water heater at my house. The water heater works well, the price was reasonable, and the technicians were very professional. Also, Crystal, who manages the business/appointments is so pleasant to work with. Edit: I also had a great experience with this company back at the beginning of the summer when my air conditioning went out. Within just a couple of days of me calling them, they were able to come out and quickly replace the part that was bad and my air conditioner was then working well. I accidentally deleted that review when I wrote this one.

    MGP Mechanical is a great company to work with from beginning to the end! We are extremely happy with their service. We had a Navien Tankless Water Heater installed a couple of weeks ago.     MGP Came out and installed a fancy new bidet, fixed my tankless water heater, and installed a whole home water filtration system. Very professional, hard working crew. Met the entire plumbing team, Carlos, Kevin, a couple interns and even the boss man Gerald. The admin staff at the office were also very friendly and always quick to answer questions and reassure me that things were getting done. Highly recommend for plumbing and HVac needs.

    I cant say enough about how professional and courteous this enterprise is! I had a furnace go out and Gustavo came and gave me options to repair or replace. Gerald and Mila worked to get me my quotes quickly and adjusted as I researched what I felt I needed. After comparing two other quotes I realized that they werent the cheapest or the most expensive, but they seemed like the best installers to replace my full HVAC system! And most people will tell you, the HVAC installers are 70% of having a well functioning system that will bring comfort for years to come.     We have used MGP Mechanical on a number of occasions. Our behest job however was the entire system replacement of our A/C units. We changed out old for new and updated thermostats. Since then our management ability and the efficiency of the new units has been remarkably better. Can’t say exactly the dollars saved each month but it has been a savings.     I thought I did an update to my original post, but I have recommended MGP Mechanical on numerous occasions so far because I am and was impressed by the quality, concern, professionalism, timely and respect for my property that MGP showed in the installation of a new hot wat tank, furnace and A/C. At the time my last post was made, I had only had the hot water tank installed but they finished the A/C and furnace on July 6th. So thankful they were recommended by close friends of mine, they lived up to everything they said they were. Glenn, the person I spoke to and gave me prices and recommendations, etc. was absolutely the most professional personal I have ever dealt with, the technicians were all very respectful and cleaned up after they performed the work which impressed me. Thank you MGP Mechanical everything is working great and the A/C is keeping the house nice and cool in this heat.

    I got estimates from a couple of companies for a gas line installation to put in a gas stove. These guys were way more reasonable and I also got an estimate for replacing my swamp cooler in the spring. They came in about a week and did a great job. The guys were nice and very professional. They also helped me get the old stove out to the curb for pick up! I know they will do a good job with the swamp cooler and have already recommended them to coworkers.

    We received a message that Eric was on his way to install a dryer vent through our roof. He was on time, professional and personable.     First off, I am in no way affiliated with or related to anyone at MGP Mechanical. This is a real testimonial.My 38-year-old furnace failed, as they are prone to do, just as the weather turned cold! I called MGP and they sent out a technician that same day. I figured that it would be next to impossible to find parts, which was the case. The technician reported the situation back to the office and I promptly received an estimate for a new furnace by E-mail. (If I hadnt called for repair service, their estimator would have come out first.) I accepted the estimate, which was a lot lower than I expected, and included a senior citizen discount. They scheduled a day-and-a-half for the replacement but were done in less than a day. The reception and billing folks were very friendly and professional.The team of two technicians arrived first thing as scheduled and were cheerful and very polite. They disconnected and uncoupled the poor old unit and removed it. They also hauled it off when they were done. The estimator stopped by a few times during the process and made sure that the techs had everything that they needed. As part of the installation, they brought everything up to code, (electricity and gas), insulated everything and installed a new flue. The installation looks like something out of a brochure. Lastly, they installed a brand-new thermostat and cleaned everything up. MGP even did the online warranty activation for me.The new furnace is super-efficient and heats the house quietly. I enthusiastically recommend MGP Mechanical for furnace-related issues and I am confident that they will be just as awesome for all plumbing heating and cooling needs. They are my Go-To from now on. (And, even though the above sounds like I work for MGP Mechanical or am in any way connected to them, I do not and am not.) I am just a very satisfied and happy customer.Dan Homan

    I highly highly recommend Gerald and his team at MGP mechanical! They were very quick to come out to look at my AC that had stopped working on a super hot day. Other companies were scheduled a week out or longer. Gerald was kind, respectful and very knowledgeable. Parts were replaced but the AC stopped working a second time. They were quick to come back out, and ultimately it all ended up being a difficult repair on a barely 2 year old AC unit. Gerald made sure that my AC was working properly after all of the issues we experienced, including advocating for our warranty to be honored. They are extremely fair on their rates and I am very grateful to have a working AC. Give them a call first before ANYONE ELSE!

I knew what model I had and what service I needed, and MGP quoted me a reasonable price, offered generic parts options to save money, and didn’t try to up sell.     I called MGP Mechanical on Monday morning 11/28/22 because my heat was out. Gerald came out that afternoon, did some investigative work, and gave me repair and replacement options. I chose to replace the 16-year old unit. Gerald got me a firm proposal the following morning, which I accepted. He checked local inventories and found a replacement unit available here in Albuquerque. He loaned me three electric heaters to use in the interim. The following Monday 12/5 a crew from MGP Mechanical showed up along with a crane from Mountain States Crane. The old unit was rigged off and the new one set in place by about 11 that morning, and the new unit was connecting and fully functional by about 3 that afternoon. MGP registered the new unit with York (for warranty purposes) for me.I cannot comment on whether MGP was a good value, as I did not shop around. But I can say that their work was of good quality and they were very responsive and very professional. I was very pleased with MGP and highly recommend them.

    After an unfortunate mishap my salon was left without hot water. Luckily MGP Mechanical was the first call we made. They were able to come out same day. And the guys were great.     We had a very difficult job and a cramped attic to work in. We had no duct work. All ducts and return air had to be installed in addition to the heating and cooling systems. The work crews were great to work with. They arrived early and worked late until the job was done even though they had to travel one hour to the job site. Once the units were professionally installed they have worked great - our house is heated and cooled to our satisfaction. I highly recommend MGP Mechanical.

    Awesome job! I needed not one but two water heaters replaced. They took care of both mine and my folks for the reasonable all inclusive price quoted. No hidden extras after the job started, and both were done in one day. They took care to tell me what was going on in the process, and how much longer it would take. They showed up in the window scheduled, and texted that they were en route with a photo of the technician so I knew who to expect.

    I called MGP after finding out my usual guy had retired without notice because I had a musty smell coming through my cooler vents. They came out the very next day, which is when I got to learn that my prior service provider had not been cleaning my unit and was using pads that were much too big. They were bunched up at the bottom and holding onto the water. As such, my unit has suffered a great deal of rusting, the pads were full of water, had grown mold, and were breeding mosquitoes.!!! One day after MGP provided service and addressed these issues I feel better mentally and physically, and have 90% fewer mosquitoes in my house. Highly recommend. ❤️

    My experience was great! My heater in my new home was not working even after I had someone come and inspect it. The first few days were freezing in my house and so I called and someone was able to come out that day! He knew exactly what the problem was and showed me and explained to me what was causing the heater to not work. He was was thorough and did an all around great job. My heater is now working perfectly and I am able to stay warm. I highly recommend!!

    We have an older home that does not have ductwork. Before replacement by MGP, we had older wall furnaces and a swamp cooler. We wanted to replace our old system well a more modern system before the old system broke down in the middle of winter. We had decided to go with the mini split system before we asked for the estimate from MGP. We liked MGP better than the rest of the companies.     We had a problem with rust particles coming from a ceiling duct when operating the evaporative cooler. Gerald with MGP came and evaluated the problem and the aged cooler had a badly rusted fan turbine. Eric and Brandon did the install and new cooler works great, so problem solved plus we wont have to worry about that one (we have 2) for a number of years now. Mila informed us the unit should qualify for a PNM rebate so we used the link she provided and are getting a $300 rebate, an added good surprise.     MGP was really great. Gerald (MGP) was one of four different HVAC providers we received estimates from to replace our broken HVAC system. Geralds quote included several options up to and including a repair of the old AC compressor through replacement of the entire system.There was only one other company that quoted us essentially the same price Gerald quoted. We went with MGP because Gerald provided exact make and model numbers of each unit he intended to install. I was able to perform my own research into the units he intended on installing and was satisfied that MGP would install high quality, durable, efficient and warrantied units in my home. All of the other HVAC providers quotes were THOUSANDS more than MGPs quote and did not seem to include units that were as good as MGPs.The two technicians that installed my units (Gustavo and another younger gentleman) were very skilled and extremely knowledgeable about the units and the installation. They answered all of our questions and took time to walk us through setting up and using the new thermostat, provided suggestions on maintaining the system and made sure we understood the system we were paying for. Everything they did looks very clean and well installed. Gustavo and the other man were very nice, extremely clean and respectful of my home. Really great guys!If I had one criticism it would be that MPG only offers a one year warranty on their installation. I learned through researching other local HVAC service providers that a one year installation warranty is pretty standard. I did get a two year installation warranty quote from one of the other companies but MGPs units were better (more efficient and more durable) and MGPs price was better.We are more than satisfied with our new units, they work great, and very happy with the service and the professionalism of MGP. We highly recommend MGP to anyone needing a new AC, furnace or repairs on existing systems.

    The main concern is that calls placed with questions are not returned. We had a leak caused by the initial installation of the unit that was not discovered until the snow melted. Also we never received any rebate from PNM as promised & MGP said they would look into it and again we did not receive any response.     We have a swamp cooler that was running but not cooling. They were able to serve us within a few days, rather than the 2 weeks others quoted. Nice guys, on time, quickly discovered the pump needed replacing. They replaced the pump but still not working. Finally determined they had a faulty pump and had to go get another one. I was a bit bothered to have to pay for the time they spent working on the faulty pump they brought with them, but I guess that is standard practice.

    Gerald came out to check for an intermittent issue with my Navien Baseboard heating system. Explain to him what I had checked and pictures showing status of system when it failed. Since it only happens about every 2 weeks we discussed what I needed to check when it failed again. Will post final results.

    I am very impressed with this company, starting with Mila (sp?) in the office to the technician, Kenny. I hired them to handle a routine/standard service...opening up my evaporated air unit for the summer. I knew I would learn enough about them to determine if I would want to work with them again. As I was promised, Kenny texted me when he was on his way. Once on site, he listened intently to any questions I asked and was knowledgeable with his answers. You don’t know how many times I’ve had various people in various service industries literally not listen to me so this was huge. He didn’t over recommend or oversell anything either. Fromwhat I could tell, their motto is to provide great service because they realize that’s how they’ll retain their customers and get referrals. When Kenny was finished, he wanted to borrow a broom or a vacuum cleaner to pick up the mess. I was so thrilled that he actually offered and was really going to do it that I told him I’d take care of it. I told my mom about my experience and she called them the same day to schedule a quote on a job that she needs done. I’m also going to look into their maintenance plan because I’ve heard good things.

    Gabriel and Juan removed the old water heater and replaced it with a heat on demand system in one days time. Both gents very professional and friendly, also they explained what work was needed to be done. During testing after install Gabriel found a problem with a rarely used shower and replace a part on the water adjustment knob. That’s professionalism.

    We have used MGP Mechanical since we opened our business 5 years ago for all of our plumbing and HVAC needs at our brewery, Boese Brothers Brewery, and at our Boese Brewpub locations. They can do anything, and will figure out what is needed to get the job done no matter how large or small. They installed the water and steam plumbing for our entire brewery operation in our first year, and since then have helped us to install entire bathrooms, triple sinks, dishwashers, grease traps, industrial A/C units, duct work, walk in coolers, and many other things. They are the only company we will ever use for plumbing and HVAC contracting, I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

    Amazing! After having Air Force One Plumbing Heating & Cooling send what they called their best tech over, he being unable to troubleshoot my furnace, so he called the owner to come look at it. The owner of Air Force One Plumbing showed up and told me I needed a new gas valve and motherboard or a new furnace. Wagner Mechanical than came over and that tech told me my furnace was shot and I simply needed a new one, he never pulling out a single tool or tester. I finally called MGP and immediately I could tell that Gerald knew what he was doing. Within five minutes, he was able to identify the problem. It had nothing to do with my furnace, it was my thermostat. Gerald repaired a broken wire and the furnace fired right up and now runs like a Rolex watch. Gerald and MGP will always have my business and I would recommend them to those I care about.
