    Awesome work done by knowledgeable, friendly staff! I had a great experience from first call to completed work. The guys who came to do the work were so nice and worked hard the entire day (in a cold garage while it was snowing), making me feel like I was getting the most for my money.The work is neat and well done, exactly to my specifications... and they actually cleaned up after themselves!I highly recommend these folks and I will be coming back when it’s time to wire up my shed and make the switch to a HVAC package unit!

    I cannot speak more highly of Duke City Heating and Cooling. I have used their services for my furnace, swamp cooler and electrical system. On every occasion, theyve provided exceptional service at great prices. They work efficiently and are quick to isolate problems, and so far I have zero complaints about their work. They have also always been honest -- for example, when I asked about the cost of a new swamp cooler, I received a shake of the head saying you dont need a new one! Thats when you know youre working with someone you can trust.UPDATE 10 YEARS LATER: I rarely write reviews, but wrote my first review for Duke City 10 years ago when I was so impressed with their service. Im back again because they really came through when a neighbors tree limb fell on our electrical line and it damaged our electrical box. We told them the situation and even though they were scheduled far out, they were able to move things around and sent someone out. They also have consistently provided quality service across the years: accurate estimates, timely services and excellent troubleshooting (minimizing the need for another service call). Duke City is a true local, family owned and honest business that provides great service.

    Overall great experience and service from all the technicians that installed our complete HVAC system. Very professional and courteous. Got the job done right on time. Cleaned up well afterwards.     Duke City Heating & Cooling did a fantastic job in relocating some Cat5e cabling to a dedicated junction box. Cabling was moved, box was installed and a dedicated 100v circuit was run to the junction box as well. The service techs were on time and super helpful in walking me through the process. They were extremely knowledgeable and did a great job. I would highly recommend Duke City for anything electrical or HVAC related. Thank you Duke City!

    Furnace quit working. We checked with a realtor friend for recommendations. He recommended Duke City. We called them and also obtained 3 other quotes. we chose Duke City based on the recommendation, their estimate, and their responsiveness to our request for an estimate and follow up questions. And, are we ever glad we chose Duke City! They were able to move up the installation date, and arrived right on time. Estevan and Shawn were the tradesmen who did our installation. Efficient, skilled, professional, friendly, polite, kind, and exceptional communicators. They were so considerate and they left our house so clean -- youd never know we just had a big, messy job completed. They made sure everything was up to code, showed us everything we needed to know, tested the equipment and carbon monoxide levels to be extra sure everything was done well and safely.     These guys did an amazing job installing my refrigerated air and heater! They were quick, organized and had great attention to detail. They took the time to answer all of my questions and did and excellent job cleaning up afterwards. My garage is cleaner now than it was before they came. All in all I cant recommend them enough. Outstanding service & their prices were really reasonable too!

    I got several estimates from contractors all across the board for a refrigerated air upgrade. This company stands out among the best, We are very pleased.     They had to come in after we fired our mechanical contractor. So glad they were willing to take the job over. They keep their schedule and communicate well. They get on the job with a good crew and they work well together. Quality of work and the equipment they provided was great. You will pay more for the quality of the work but we found it to be value added in the end

    I recently purchased a new home and had Duke City redo all of my utilities as well as install a new AC. This included a panel upgrade, new water line, new sewer line and a new gas line. They have been top notch through the entire process. They are responsive and the crews that they have sent out have paid attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves. I could not recommend this company more. We also used them for my moms conversion to AC from a swamp cooler a few years ago and they were great then too.

    Can’t recommend these folks enough! We decided to convert to AC and we needed a new furnace as well. We got estimates from lots of different companies. These guys were the only ones that didn’t play a sales game with us. We ended up paying a very reasonable price. They were patient with all our questions, and they went above and beyond when they came to do the installation this week. They asked if I wanted to move clean clothes that I forgot about so they wouldn’t get dirty during the install, they cleaned up after themselves, and they even went to get matching paint for our house when one of the guys accidentally got some primer on the outside of our house. It was a two day job, and they also made sure we would have heat for the night in between the two days when it was supposed to be chilly at night. Everyone was very respectful, courteous and professional. With such a large and daunting purchase, it’s fantastic feeling like we made the right choice with who we decided to go with. Thank you!

    Duke City Heating and Cooling did an amazing job in connecting our new power poll, installing a new circuit breaker box and running hundred of feet of electrical cable. They were quick, efficient, polite and professional. The two techs who did the work were amazing (Tommy and Josh), as well their boss who came by to check on the job, (Paul).     I am very happy with the installation of our new AC and furnace. Installers were very friendly and professional. They took the time to explain the instructions of the NEST thermostat.     These guy are AMAZING. They won the bid, showed up daily on time. They were polite, informative, and good about vacuuming dust from creating vents.     Im so glad I contacted Duke City Heating and Cooling to install my refrigerated air conditioning. Gloria kept me informed of the date and time of my installation. Adrian and his crew were so professional and took pride in their work. You can always tell a good team by how they interact with each other.     Estavon and Shaun came to the rescue!!! My pilot wouldn’t stay lit, I had an appointment scheduled for Friday and they were able to come 3 days sooner…not only did they fix my furnace but also figured out a 5 year issues I’ve been having with vents not working!     I contacted Duke City in order to troubleshoot two thermostats in my house. Josh and Tommy were the technicians that came out to work on the issue. They were professional and skillful. They were able to correctly diagnose the issue and correct some wiring from the main Hvac units, which solved my problem. They were fast and explained everything to me. I appreciate their help.

    I had to replace the coils in my AC and Duke City quoted me a cost $1000 less than another company I talked to. The service techs were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the AC worked great! But what really put them over the top for me is what happened a couple weeks later: my AC died in early July. I was understandably upset thinking they had screwed up, but the receptionist Gloria put me at ease: she was able to address my concerns and assured me that the guarantee for the previous work would apply even if I had to go with another company for the last minute service. However, she worked her magic and was able to get a tech out in the next day. Turns out it was an unrelated issue to their previous work, and in an hour my AC was up and running again. The fact they got out there at the last minute and stood by their guarantee really impressed me, and I plan to use them in the future whenever I need service.

    Was having issues getting my heater running for the winter. Called Duke City Heating and Cooling and they sent Mike out to my home. He was incredibly helpful as well as informative as to what he was doing with my heater. He originally had thought that I needed a new motor, so he went out and purchased one as well as installed it. He then found out that the new motor did not fix our problem. Rather than charging me for the motor he was kind enough to leave the new motor installed on my heater for no cost at all! Mike ended up getting my heater up and running in a timely an professional manner.The amount of care, transparency, attention to detail, as well as Mike taking the time to educate me throughout the entire process is more than enough for me to continue to do business as well as refer business to Duke City Heating and Cooling. Class Act!

    I called Duke City Heating and Plumbing yesterday because my thermostat was turned way up and yet the temperature only reached 69. They scheduled someone between 11 and 2 - The service guy called and was able to come earlier. They told me they were receiving an error code due to dirty filter. Odd since I just replaced last month. I got the spare filter and he put in. He told me to give it a couple of hours to heat up. Thermostat was set at 75 when I went to bed. I woke this morning to 60 degrees inside. I just checked flow through vents and although I could feel heat coming through, the flow was minimal. I checked the filter and found that the service guy just set the filter in place without latching it down so the filter was getting sucked up into the fan, blocking the flow.I woke up the next morning and although thermostat was set high, temp in house was a mere 60º. sMade a call back and Mike came out - spent over two hours making a few adjustments and checking other possible issues; making recommendations that would help in the future. He did everything possible to make sure that everything was working as it should be and that I was happy by the time he left - I am.I am happy with Mike who took the time to explain things as he was making adjustments.I would recommend Duke City Heating & Cooling and will use them again, even after a rocky start. :-)

    Very HONEST!! Best company Ive dealt with for any home service. Honesty is a rare trait in any home service business. Their rates are extremely reasonable.Our condenser wasnt turning on, they came out in the cold and wind on 4/11 and figured out it was the breaker. After they left, I thought the A/C wasnt cooling, so they turned around and came back out and told me it would take longer to bring the temp down because its cold outside..boy did I feel like an idiot..haha But they were very kind about it and didnt charge me for coming back. I cant even tell you how much I appreciate their honesty and kindness. If we have another problem, I will definitely contact them again!

    These guys are AwEsOmE!!!! I arrived at my place in Albuquerque late Thursday 11/1/2018... No HEAT in one of my units. I called Friday morning 1st thing. Jessica took the call.. “I will schedule an appt for Thursday next week, but if we have a cancellation we will call and see you before.” Sure enough, two hours later, BAM!!! They had cancellation for Monday.I received text message 1st thing Monday.. ‘Techs are headed your way’. Adrian and an assistant were here in less than 30 min, had identified issue, ordered part, and went on their way.. Wed I received call from Jessica that my part was in.. They locked in appt, but assured me, again, if cancellation, they would be right out. Sure enough, two hours ago, I received call, “We will be there in 30 min!” Adrian returned with Josh this time. Adrian was candid in his assessment of existing equipment and solutions I might consider, in addition to getting my HEAT back on.I am reiterating, these guys are ‘in the game’!!! They diagnosed, ordered part, and completed in 5 day window... People want ‘Seamless’, from start to finish. I feel that they went ‘above and beyond’ to provide. KUDOS, folks!!!     From the guy who came out to estimate to the workers, to the front office secretary they were all very professional. They took their time to answer all questions I had about the job and to make sure everything was set in place. we have an older home thats not the easiest to work with, many other companies did not even bother to get back to us. Duke city did and we ended up being very happy they were the ones who did the job. Will use in the future! Highly reccomend.

    Jason had done some work on my a/c earlier. Then I tried replacing my thermostat by myself. When the furnace wouldnt turn on, I called Gloria and she gave me Jasons number. He talked me through the troubleshooting steps, even while he was busy on another job. The fuse had blown and he showed me how to find it and where to get another one. Easy. I am so grateful that he was willing to take the time to talk me through this problem.

    Great from start to finish. I had a rusted out Mastercool that needed to be replaced. Mike came out to give me a quote. (I had quotes done by other companies as well.) Since I was thinking about buying the cooler myself from Samons, he did the quote with and without the cost of the unit. Duke Citys pricing was very fair compared to other contractors that came out to give me a quote. Mike was very professional and very responsive to any questions or concerns I had and even answered my phone call on a weekend. (After realizing it was his day off I told him Id call back Monday.) Duke City just seemed to have a better approach overall so I decided to have them do the work. I purchased my own AC which they picked up for me for a discounted fee. The installation went smooth with no problems at all. I bought a thermostat to run the AC and they even put that on for me no extra charge. The guys that came out were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and took care to save anything I might need later on. It was even easy to call in and pay over the phone. All of this was perfectly timed. Today was the first day of the year the temp will reach the 80s. Highly recommended!!

    Woke up to my house being 60 degrees after a cold snap/winter storm. I called Duke City Heating & Cooling and within an hour their service techs were ringing my doorbell. Tommy and Tyrell were AMAZING! They remedied the problem and had my heater back up and running within 30 minutes. These guys were very professional and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Duke City Heating & Cooling for all of your HVAC maintenance and problems!
