Absolutely love this company and Roger is THE MAN!We had a miserable front yard that wouldnt drain, was swampy, bug-infested, and just sucked We asked Roger to take a look, he came immediately out, surveyed our property - with an actual survey instrument, and worked with us to develop a comprehensive french drain solution.His team came to work! They arrived on-time, completed on schedule and on budget. They were polite, professional ans cooperative with other people working on our property. As a professional civil engineer, I can attest that they did an above average professional installation which well exceeded my expectations.Roger continues to follow up and ensure the solution is functioning as designed. He cleaned his site, over-seeded any area he touched and is incredibly pleasant to work with.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN IF EVER NEEDED!

Extremely happy with our landscaping! Roger was very helpful in the planning and working out a design of what we envisioned. We ended up needing a drainage system installed under the pool’s concrete sidewalk, they did a great job putting that in for us to solve water back up. Rock was put all around the pool inside the fence. Phase one of our fire pit was laid out for addition of stone benches. It all looks great, and we are getting many compliments. We have more to do around the house for updating landscaping and they will be who I call. Thank you for the awesome work!

Our back patio of our townhouse was an unusable space infested with weeds. The team at Solid Rock Lawn and Landscape helped us plan exactly how we could make the space usable and then they executed it flawlessly. They worked efficiently and did an absolutely phenomenal job! We are lovin our new back yard! Roger and his crew far exceeded our expectations from our first call until the last light was installed. Our back yard was a wreck and they turned it into a showpiece.When we first called for an estimate, Roger arrived with a can of spray paint to map out his initial ideas for the design. The other contractors we called took a few measurements and either submitted a boring design or could not accommodate our request for both pavers and landscaping.Roger did it all! His enthusiasm and passion for a relatively small job was infectious and we knew we had found a contractor for whom our job was important.Its not often you find a contractor who estimates so well that you can rely on them to arrive WHEN they say they will and charge WHAT they say they will. Roger is that contractor! He started the project the week he said he would and wrapped it up quickly in spite of a couple of setbacks. He communicated regularly when he was going to be late or if a shipment was delayed. Thats what we appreciated the most.Once we have our picnic table and cantilever umbrella, we look forward to many days and evenings enjoying our new outdoor space.Thanks, Solid Rock!!!To further sing Rogers praises, this installment survived a rain deluge (4 inches in 2 hours) only one week after completion. We were so afraid the sod or some of the plants would get washed away the water was flowing so fast. Didnt happen, and everything looks even better than the day they were installed. Not only that, but the hardscape was dry as soon as the sun came out :-)

Roger and his crew did an amazing job. Wonderful Christian man who serves the Lord in every thing he does. We are working on a backyard plan in phases that included a ramp, paver pads and walkways, kitchen wall and lighting. We also had him put a concrete floor in our goat barn. Very happy with their work.

Absolutely love our results and the long term guarantee on their work! We had our entire property landscaped, a smart sprinkler system installed, a gorgeous custom paver patio, custom outdoor kitchen/grilling area built, a raised garden area added, trees removed, over 140 plants & bushes planted, they also built a wrought iron style fence with lighted brick pillars, and more!The team just came back out for touch ups 2.5 years later. We cannot say enough. Hands down the best in Hampton Roads!

We cannot say enough good things about Roger and his team. After being let down these last couple of years by both individual contractors as well as those licensed from major nationwide companies, on various home renovation projects, to have a group who went above and beyond was nothing short of a breath of fresh air. Roger worked with us on ideas for our project, as well as ideas and plans for future work. His team was professional, friendly, hard working. They communicated with us throughout the process and when they identified an issue they let us know what it was and how they planned to address it before they started. Keeping us informed every step of the way. When we noticed an issue a couple of weeks later, with one area of our cement patio Roger responded immediately and was over addressing the issue the same day. We cant wait to use our outdoor kitchen and lounge area, thank you so much Solid Rock!!

I hired Roger at Rock Solid to do some grading in my back yard. Who in the world would think it’s so difficult to do. They had to come back three times to make adjustments in the lawn. Never once did they act annoyed with having to come back. They were always pleasant and you could see it was going to be done right no matter what. His whole crew are great young men and I feel like I have a new friend in Roger and his son. I guarantee you’ll be happy with him and any service you need done. He’ll certainly be at the top of my list for any outdoors work, they’ll get it done and they’ll get it right.

Solid Rock did an awesome job with several landscaping projects we recently had. The projects encompassed a brick patio with large flower bed and seating wall, fencing around a pool, yard grading / water drainage, sod installation, extending a concrete driveway with gates and landscape lighting. While the projects were going on, he made suggestions that enhanced the appeal of the overall projects. He also worked with us to adjust a pool fence height as what we originally had gone with, we ended up not likely once the 1st panel was installed. He was able to adjust the height by modifying the fence panels and helped us out of a bind. I recommend Solid Rock for all of your landscaping needs.And as an added bonus, he actually calls you back right away when you reach out to him!

We had a wonderful experience with Solid Rock. We are one of the very few homeowners in the area with a basement, and this year we experienced a couple rains of biblical proportions. With these heavy rains, we experienced minor flooding in the basement. We called Roger and he came on the same day. Roger, listened to our thoughts and came up with a plan. We had full drainage system installed that should withstand the next Grass Flood. Thanks again Solid Rock.

Solid Rock Lawn & Landscape did an amazing job for us. They were professional, polite and timely. They built a fire pit area, cleared and leveled a debris area, replaced a patio, repaired steps and installed stepping stones. Our yard slopes pretty significantly causing water drainage issues. We worked hard for 3 summers trying everything to correct the issues. Solid Rock came in and fixed the issues and brought to life the vision we had for our backyard area. Thank you Roger!!!

Roger and his crew came out to install French drains in my yard. The soil near my home retains a lot of moisture which caused some issues with water finding its way to my crawl space area. The gentlemen from Solid Rock Lawn installed a great product and cleaned up the area when they left. My lawn looks great now and I have no issues with water intrusion. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have French drains installed.
