I have hired Hentkowski for a few projects. They did the inspection for my home prior to my purchase six years ago and have since provided maintenance my existing heating system. I recently hired them for a ductless mini split system in my home. John was always on time and walked me through the system and my options very thoroughly. The implementation staff were extremely courteous and protected furniture and flooring as they did the arduous work. Also cleaned up after they left. Because my home is over 100 years old they got creative with the installation to ensure it was in effective in working system but also ensured the pipes and outdoor system was not an eyesore to my home. The carrier devices work well but had an issue with one of the devices in the master bedroom. Front office staff were very responsive and coordinated a team to fix during a hot spell. Very happy and will continue working with them for all of my HVAC needs.

Hentkowski is a very good company to do business with. I have used them at four locations over the past ten years. Their service people show up on time, are efficient, clean and courteous. Oh, the company is honest! I had a geothermal unit installed 13 years ago. The company that installed it (not Hentkowski) said I needed a $2500 repair. Hentkowski repaired it with a $5 fuse and a service call.

The quality of their work is excellent, but I was somewhat disappointed with their lack of urgency in scheduling my appointment. I contacted them on a Monday because I was without heat and the first available appointment wasnt until Thursday afternoon. This timing was additionally frustrating because it would likely extend the repair into the following week if a new part was required, which it was. I am hopeful that they return tomorrow to make the repair as the weekend forecast calls for much cooler temperatures.

This is the first time using Hentkowski, Inc. I had a new boiler heating system installed to replace my old unit. I first met with Brian who came to the house to give me an estimate for the replacement including labor. He took me through facts and figures and explained every aspect of the job, what to expect, how long (approximately) it would take, and a choice of boilers. He never tried to sell me anything. I told him we were just in the process of getting prices and we would get back to him in a few days. When we called him and told him its a go he immediately ordered the boiler which would be in in about 3 weeks. To our surprise, the boiler was in that same week on a Friday. He called when it arrived and asked if we were ready for installation the Monday after arrival. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, which made us feel as if wed known him for years. As far as installation, we had Steve, Carl, and Steve H. We couldnt have asked for a better group of technicians. They were very clean, knowledgeable, polite, well-mannered, professional, well dressed, friendly and total team players. You would hardly know they were in the house....very little talk, all work. They started with a drop cloth and covered our carpets from the door to the basement door. They protected the basement floor as well. Shoe covers were used as necessary. They were right on time within 3-5 minutes of what they said would be their starting time. A cheerful good morning and right to work! After three days, and the job was complete, You would never know the job was done, except for looking at the new boiler furnace in the basement...the cleanup was far beyond what we expected. Basically all we had to do was put back a few pieces of small furniture that we needed to move to give them room! We would most positively recommend this company to anyone!I would also like to leave a note about Kim, who I believe is the receptionist....She is so businesslike and professional, but at the same time she is bright, friendly and cheerful on the phone. More businesses need front line people like her!

He was very knowledgeable and informative about what the problems were and what the process was. He even took the time to call around and find the proper parts as we have an older system. He was able to give us a quote for the repairs that was reasonable and went ahead and ordered the parts for us.

Hentkowski has been servicing my HVAC for a while now and they’ve been very impressive in that capacity alone.When my older AC stopped working John Hentkowski moved quickly to get me a price for a replacement unit that was a high quality and affordable. He worked out a great plan to deal with a few design hurdles from the previous installation.I looked at a few companies and by far Hentkowski was the best quality and a much more affordable price. We had the installation done a few weeks ago and everything went even better than expected. You can trust these guys to get the job done!

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Hentkowski. I called yesterday for a possible blockage in the condensation pipe due to water near our furnace.I got to work this morning and called them again for the office air conditioning unit. Both matters were handled quickly.Their service technician called prior to coming, was very friendly, and got us back up and running as quickly as he could. It ends up the office will need a new unit, but I am so thankful for their prompt responses and help with both issues!

Brian was courteous and thorough in answering my questions and discussing potential solutions to issues I had with my old furnace and AC. His price for a new system was very competitive with quotes I had from two other vendors. Steve and Ian, who installed my new system, were prompt, courteous, neat, and very efficient. I am very happy with my new system, and cannot believe how quietly it runs, and how much cooler it is upstairs. I love it!

The Hentkowski service man (Salomon) was very thorough in his analysis of my hvac problem. He work through each of the possible problems to rule them in or out. As we figured out what the problem was it started to rain. Salomon worked through the rain to put everything back together. It was right at the end of his work day and he decided to work a little longer to fix it since I was not available the next morning. I really appreciate willingness to go the extra mile to help me out. Thank you Salomon.

This a late review of Hentkowski. The first service call was to check the (whole house) dehumidifier which had stopped working. The technician cleaned the unit and tightened the connections which had loosened. I was very pleased with the rep as he thoroughly checked all systems. He was polite and pleasant. The next call was a tune up for the heater. This was a different rep. He too was very professional and explained everything he did. The work was finished in less than 1 hour. Hentkowski will be the go to company for any problems with the HVAC system. I recommend them with great enthusiasm. Thank you very much for outstanding service.

Our AC shut down yesterday in our Newark office. I contacted Hentkowski and within a few hours, John was here to diagnose and fix the problem with our unit. Thank you Hentkowski, Inc.!5-21-18Hentkowski saved the day again at Paragon Design! Our fan wasnt operating on our outside unit and we contacted Hentkowski, Inc. On the same day, John came out and diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently... the AC unit wasnt running properly due to a leak on the condensing coil. We discussed our options and John returned to replaced our outside unit and all necessary lines. Our office is cool again and comfortable. Hentkowskis service is excellent; dont hesitate to call them for heating, cooling and electrical needs!

John and Steven were fantastic! I had a leaking baseboard pipe in my master bedroom. The water was on the basement floor running over to my sump drain. Once I called, they called back to walk me through isolating the water from the system. They were onsite within an hour, replaced a section of pipe that had ruptured and job done in less than 2 hours. Thank you Hentowski Inc.!

I had the pleasure of talking to Kim from the office, a very pleasant and professional person after the contractor that installed 2 Carrier Infinity systems walk away because they could not solve the two codes ( 126 and 33) that keep popping up. The same day Hentkowski had John over, he started his diagnoses, it took him many try because it was not easy. John had to get Carrier involved, but he never give up. Between Kim, John and Carrie they get it done. For John it was like his personal mission to solve the problems, which he did. John, I want to thank you for your dedication and persistence. Now Hentkowski will be the go to for my 3 HVAC systems. Thanks.

I had a problem with my heating system and Nest Thermostat. Hentkowski sent out Bill to do a diagnostic and potentially fix the issue. Bill was great, he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. He examined the system and the Nest and went through a ton of different possible causes and testing different things to figure out the issue. It turns out the Nest wasnt compatible with my old intermittent spark ignition furnace but worked some times. Bill even called Nests support and spoke with them for quite some time to try and find any possible solution and when there wasnt one he made sure to make it clear to Nest it was their product (Nests customer support has been surprisingly good as well and I would try one again if I updated my system in the future)and so Nest is giving me a refund. Im fairly tech savvy/mechanically inclined/curious and Bill also explained potential causes and what he was doing etc which was great. Overall the best experience I have had with this sort of thing.

Our condenser stopped working yesterday when it was 95 degrees. We called for emergency service after hours and we had a tech at our door in 30 minutes. He was able to diagnose that our condenser is shot and submitted the request for a replacement. (Bad news for us) The emergency service fee was reasonable and the response time was excellent.

A radiator in our house wasn’t heating and leaked into the lower floor. Hentkowski came within an hour and stayed until the radiator was disconnected and heat restored throughout the house. They also replaced our broken expansion tank. We’ll have them back to fix the leak. Top service, fair price and true professionalism.

The Hentkowski crew just spent three weeks installing AC in our old Victorian house. They were excellent: highly professional, friendly, and exacting in their work. They patiently listened to our desires and designed a system that worked for our home. They clearly set out the costs (which were reasonable) and the installation timeline. The crew leader (John) did an outstanding job putting the system in, communicating with us along the way and explaining all of the decisions he was making when putting in ductwork and other issues. The crew itself was respectful of our privacy and did a first rate installation job (as were under COVID-19 lockdown, our family was here while they were working). They went the extra mile to make sure everything visible in the house looked nice when they were done.Were very happy with the system as well as with the service we received from Hentkowski.

Hentkowski, Inc. just replaced our 17 year old Carrier heater and central air conditioner, which were the original units in our home. Although both units never had a problem and were still in working condition, we felt it was time to upgrade and modernize with a new Carrier Infinity system. John Hentkowski came out to do the estimate. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and it was obvious he had been doing this a long time. He gave our old system a thorough examination and recommended installing some additional returns to help with the air circulation upstairs.The installers, Steve H. and Mark L. came out a few days later. They were polite, efficient, and thoroughly professional. Their installation work was top notch with careful attention to details, and their sheet metal work was a thing of beauty. In all I couldn’t have asked for a better team.Hentkowski, Inc took care of all the paperwork, including warranty registrations and rebate applications. It is a no-brainer to have them do the annual maintenance on my new HVAC system.

Brian recently came out to a house in Trolley Square that my clients are buying, the house does not have central air conditioning. He met my cients at the house to give them options for split systems. He spent a lot of time explaining everything to them and answering questions they had.
