This company rocks! Highly recommended! They make what you want to happen to fix a clogged sink fast happen!! I wished for 1) someone pleasant to answer the phone, 2) someone to fix it quickly, 3) a reasonable price. Megan was so helpful on the phone, and Roger and Joe showed up in less than two hours, just as promised, explained what they needed to do, quoted a price and stuck with it, and were done in less than 30 minutes! They even cleaned the sinks for me! And were pleasant about it. Excellent local company.

Had s clogged sink in my basement that kept backing into my kitchen sink and causing all sorts of messes. Odie came out and first let me say how professional a young man he was.He was able to power snake the drain and finally cleared it. He also checked the main drain and all was well!I would highly recommend this company as they are fairly priced, the tech was very courteous and professional as was tge person who answered the phone on my initial call.You should to get odie as the technician if you call these guys!

I had a complete blockage after redoing the toilet bolts n seal on my leaking toilet, i was convinced a missing wrench may have been dropped down the hole, even a major brand name drain cleaner couldnt snake through with the main line machine (dont want to mention names).The man from the major drain cleaner said whatever was in there was solid n his company would charge a fortune if I had to cut the wall n the pipe to retrieve whatever was inside it (this was in-between my 2nd n 1st floor). He advised me to find a local Plummer.I called someone else to come with a Camara to see what n and exactly where it was thinking we had to cut in my tenants wall downstairs to fix this, but the person I called said he would be there a bit past noon, i work overnights n waited all day, then he calls at 430 and procedes to tell me hes sn hour out and he would need to clear/snake the line, i told him i just did that 2 days ago, the guy came n tried but jammed his 1st machine but then reluctantly tried the main line machine n even that wouldnt break thru so why would i pay for something i already did. I told him i just want the Camara to see was going on knowing I may have to have him cut the wall n the pipe but he argued with me and insisted on snaking as well after making me wait all day. I told him forget it.The I called Drains by James, got an appointment for the following day between 830-9, Nelson was here by 845, he came,reviewed the situation, came up with a plan n discussed my options, he charge me a fair price for the appointment then came back 2days later with Sam, they vacuumed out pipe, used the Camara but couldnt get a clear picture, use the jetstream and vacuum together to clean it up, did the Camara again n was able to see the object then tried a retrieving tool to get object out to possibly avoid having to cut my tenants wall to get to the pipe, and the were successful. They retrieved part of it but part of it went down so they then went and did a cleaning of the pipe down the cellar and out to the street to make sure the piece that fell didnt block up further down the line, they were great, I have to admit I wasnt convinced at 1st, having dedling with it for a total of ten days from the toilet leak to the fix, my hopes had run out but they saved my tenants wall n saved my pipe from being cut. Everything they did added up so it was a bit pricey for me but they gave me a huge deal and saved me from having to pay a lot more that it should have cost an they definitely know what they are doing, Ill be calling them for any issues and work I need in the future. They made me see not everyone is out to take u for everything you got, Ive been thru it with so many mechanics and others that its refreshing to know there are still some honest and caring professionals in the world today. I cannot thank these guys enough. After a catastrophic week at work and just days away from having our first baby, our kitchen sink started to back up. A look in the basement revealed leaking water and corroding pipes in multiple areas. Our plumber was busy and recommended to reach out to Drains by James and he spoke very highly of them and he wasnt wrong. The reception got me booked quickly and Nelson came out first for the initial trip and diagnosed the issue. He was on time, super professional, and so kind. I explained our time crunch with the baby just around the corner and he was so very helpful. He quickly contacted Mark and Brandon, their repair team, who came out less than 48 hours later and got the job done. The price was very reasonable given the scope and time demands of the situation. Mark and Brandon were both also very kind and professional and helped us out in such a bind. They even cleaned up and swept afterwards! Everything seems to be running just fine now, and they have a one year warranty on the work. I couldnt be more thankful!

I had no running water, and I was desperate for help. Drains by James always answered my calls with a real, live person, who listened attentively to my problem and dispatched people to help me resolve it with hours. All the employees we dealt with demonstrated genuine care and concern every step of the way. They were honest and upfront about costs, and they did the job on time for exactly the price they said they would do it for. The quality of the work is also exceptional. You just get the feeling with these guys that they understand you are in a difficult situation, that they are going to find a way to fix your problem, and that they arent leaving until they do fix it. It was so reassuring, considering that we had significant repairs that they had to first identify and then begin to make, to know that they were experts who had done this work before and were going to get everything in proper order. I would highly recommend James by Drains! We have been experiencing some serious drain issues in our house related to our main sewer line. We contacted James by Drains which was referred to us by our plumber. Greg and his workers came on time, very professional, got right to the job and explained everything to me in regards to what was going on with our pipe. They water jetted out our main and camered the pipe so we could see what the problem was. We ended up having to replace this pipe as it was seriously broken and had a big chunk missing which could have been a disaster if not fixed. Very happy with their service and would use again. Ive used this place multiple times to clear a main sewer drain. They come out in a couple hours and theyre usually $150-200 cheaper than the name brand companies (Rapidflo and Rotorooter). If I recall correctly, its usually about $375.Their techs have always been nice and were able to help fix a piping issue when our main pipe collapsed (see pic). I would definitely recommend them to others.

Had main sewer line slow to a trickle on a Saturday and found out when washing machine drain overflowed. Called Drains By James and a couple hours later Steve arrived and worked for over 3 hours to remove all the roots in the main sewer line that were causing the slow drain. Refused to leave until the camera showed (and showed me the video feed so I could see it too) an unblocked pipe to the street so I didnt have to worry about scheduling a follow-up during the work week. Wanted it done right and I respected the professionalism of their expert.

It was a really complex issue that the first technician from James tried hard to solve before calling in more senior staff members (Mark and Brendan) who came on time bright and early on a Saturday over Labor Day weekend and worked until 7pm that night to resolve the clog and provide a plan to improve our system to avoid similar issues.
