Great service. Installed a water heater the same day of first contact. They were able to give me a quote for water heater replacement without coming out and try to sell me. I appreciated that. I had a previous appointment with another company, but cancelled it when they weren’t willing to give me a quote before coming out. In four hours I had a new water heater installed at great price. Very happy and would recommend using them in the Palatine, IL area.

Next thing you know, the lady called me back and said someone will be at my house in 30 min. Danny came out, diagnosed the problem, fave me a few option for replacement unit, and installed the new sump pump and the back up pump all under 2 hours. Excellent customer service and quality work. Great company.

He was over for just about 90 minutes and was respectful of my need to leave the house at a certain time. Ive used this company 3 times now over a few years. 2 small jobs (leaky pipe fix and today a water softener removal) and 1 large job (water heater install) a few years ago. Had a different plumber each time and every time the same thing. They come in, give you a quote, then either do the job right then or schedule the bigger job if youre good with the price. Prices have always been on the low side and quality is excellent. Never had a problem, no surprises or attempts to upcharge on anything. Great plumbing company.Update: been few years since my original review. Had an intermittent strange water vibrating noise issue coming from somewhere this morning. Plumber came out today within a couple of hours and tried to help me diagnose it but without it reappearing or more info, couldnt really do much until figuring out which valve/appliance or bathroom it was coming from. Gave me advice for if it comes back and then said he wasnt going to charge anything despite the 25+ minute service call. I wouldnt go with any other company in the area than this one.

Six weeks ago today I created a plumbing disaster in my bathtub drain. Called my normal plumber and he came right out and let me know what needed to be done. Haven’t heard from him since……..Called Excel on May 18th, they came right out and reviewed what needed to be done and I received my estimate…….I can not express how happy and grateful I am with Excel. Yuri was professional and completed the work exactly as he had described to me. He was able to successfully access the bathtub plumbing from my adjoining closet, instead of going through my living room ceiling. I believe we both checked thoroughly for any leaks, so far good👍🫰👍 I thank you very much for your prompt and courteous attention to my needs!

Overall, the experiences very positive. Super communicative, ontime, and upfront with pricing.Two minor notes.1) They had to drill through our foundation to replace a sewer pipe, but they didn’t clean up very well after the drilling. We had concrete dust in our basement, and had to clean that up ourselves.2) They very quickly and efficiently solved the root of our problem (broken sewer line), but forgot to treat the initial symptom (clogged bathtub line). It took a second visit the next day to fix that. They did not charge for the follow up which was nice.All in all, they were super fast, very communicative, and did the job … Just some stuff around the edges could’ve been better

I recently had a drainage issue with one of my egress windows, and water was not flowing properly to the sump pump. I reached out to Excel Plumbing for assistance, and they promptly sent someone to help. The technician, Igor, was extremely professional and took quick action to resolve the situation and prevent any further flooding. I was impressed by the quality of tools that Excel Plumbing had, which were much better than what local plumbers typically have. They had different sizes of rotors and were even able to perform a camera check to assess the issue.

Our sewer line was backing up. Within an hour of calling Excel we had a plumber show at our front door; very impressive considering we called at 7pm on a Saturday. The plumber, Igor, was friendly and professional. He used a camera to inspect the clog followed by a heavy-duty auger to clear it. It was a stubborn clog so he had to run the auger a couple of times with different tips. He would inspect the line after each pass. The poor guy stayed for several hours and worked up a sweat, but you can tell he wanted to do a good job. He managed to clear the line in the end. Overall very pleased with this service!

I had just moved myself from the Southern CA mountains back to Buffalo Grove where I also owned a condo (arriving on a cold snowy Saturday night). The condo had sat empty for some time so upon arrival, there were many items that needed immediate service or replacement. At the top of the list was my water heater that would not put out any hot water. Based on reviewing the water heater information and date, I needed to have my water heater replaced immediately. I survived the weekend with freezing water, and found Excel plumbing through a personal recommendation on Monday morning. I called them and Mike took the call. He was so kind, understanding, professional, and asked the right questions. Based on my information he gave me a very fair quote, and was able to schedule their technician Denny to come out the same day to replace the water heater. My garbage disposal had also stopped working the night before, so Mike offered a very fair quote on replacing that as well. Denny was an amazing talented plumber. He was professional, respectful, focused, skilled and thorough. He replaced the water heater, a bulb valve, and the garbage disposal. He was conscientious to keep things clean and cleaned up more after the jobs were complete. The final price was what Mike originally told me it would be. The water heater and garbage disposal are working perfectly. Also, when I called in with questions, I spoke with Kelly who was kind, caring and patiently answered my questions. Excel Plumbing has a great team which can be rare to find these days. I would only call on Excel Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

We had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday and called Excel. They were very helpful on the phone and said that their plumber, John, would be calling us shortly to talk to us about the problem. He called back within minutes and said he would be there at 130PM and actually arrived at 1 which was very much appreciated considering our plumbing issue. He was very friendly and professional and quickly located our problem., a collapsed pipe. This ending up being a big job and John explained fully what would be required and wrote up a very competitive quote on-site. The job began earlier than expected and was completed on time. It required a crew of guys who were all very friendly and professional, and extremely efficient. John then followed up with us to take a look in the pipes and check for any additional issues. The entire process was very easy and most importantly was performed as explained and on time. Excel did a great job and were very neat with their work areas and cleaned up fully when complete. John is an excellent representation of the company, but I would also like to add that Tom the dispatch person was also excellent in communicating with us, letting us know what was happening and when.

At roughly 9:30pm last night I was told that I would have somebody at my home for servicing between 8:30am-9:00am. A HALF HOUR WINDOW?! That’s incredible. (last company told me between 8am-12pm and the guy showed at 5pm).Konstantin showed up, very friendly and ready to address my issue. Our tank water heater had to be replaced, and we called Excel after reading all the positive reviews for a quote on a new one. We were interested in a tankless water heater and they came out and explained the pros/cons very well, and offered a really great price to install one. Once we decided to move forward, they were able to come out quickly to install the new Navien tankless water heater and went over how to operate and maintain it. Although there was one miscommunicated feature of the agreed upon quote, they were eager to resolve it and did so professionally and quickly. Literally everyone we spoke to from installers, to customer service, to management were all extremely nice and helpful. Excel came out in a timely manner for an initial quote, performed by Ronnie, who informed us on pricing for a kitchen sink faucet replacement and water heater replacement. He advised us not to proceed with an under-sink water filtration system installation which would have consumed all the cabinet space and also would have been prohibitively expensive.The actual installation services were completed by Robert and his apprentice. Everything went relatively great and according to schedule. We had one mishap where even with the condo buildings main supply being shut off, water was running fast out of a pipe into our water heater closet due to outdated plumbing (very old building). Robert and his apprentice sprang to action and were able to problem solve quickly. I dont have prior experience with using professional plumbing services, but this encounter seems to have gone very well. I would not hesitate to call them again if the price continues to be fair for market rates.

Getting the rodder to the clog was a big problem because of weird bends and turns. Tony is a very good plumber. He was able to find an access point, open it up and clear the clog. My parents had moved into a new apartment in the suburbs after living in the city for 35 years and quickly discovered a hot water problem -- namely, a lack of it! The landlord then called Excel and John came out. This time I was there.John was wonderful. I had to use Excel Plumbing twice in the last two weeks. One was for a main line to the sewer that had roots causing a backup, the other was for a copper pipe that was leaking and corroded behind our drywall. For both visits they sent Yury. I was happy to see him the second time because I knew how knowledgeable he is after the first visit. Yury was excellent in identifying the actual problem and explaining the options to me so that I can make an informed decision. The final price on both projects were much lower than I had originally thought they would be. Excel Plumbing also has great coupons available on their website that they are happy to honor. I found Excel Plumbing to very honest and affordable and I think thats what you look for when searching for a plumbing company during an emergency. I will use Excel Plumbing always in the future.

Honesty is all what counts. called Excel for drain cleaning job after we had experienced clogging in the master bathroom and used some chemical to clean the system, however we decided to call plumber to check it out. John of Excel came out and tested the line pressure and the drain flow in every bathroom and found out the system is already working, did not charge us anything all what he did was passing his business card, hard to believe.
