A pipe burst under my kitchen sink and water was everywhere. The plumber who fixed the pipe referred us to Felipe Gayosso and his team from American Response. They came right away and did everything to mitigate the water damage. They were very conscious of keeping the area that they worked in contained, they were aware of the stress It caused the tenants, and they did everything to make the experience better. They came regularly to check the moisture levels made phone calls to my insurance company and provided important information. They were respectful of my home environment and cleaned up thoroughly. I would highly recommend the American response team and Filipe to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

I had an unknown leak turn into a flood that was discovered upon coming back from vacation. I called American Response Team right away. American Response Team went through the process to hire all of the other companies I needed for the job. Their workers were on time and did everything they said they would do.I especially want to acknowledge Felipe because he was a nice, professional guy, always on time, easy to talk to, explained things before they happened, and answered all of my questions. Im still in the process of rebuilding after the water damage, but wanted to leave a review about the Remediation Department and Felipe specifically.

I had a slow leak in my toilet room wall. At first, I called my plumber to come out. He suspected a leak somewhere in the pipes behind the shower. I told him that there may be mold behind the wall. He wasnt comfortable with knocking down the wall due to possible exposure to the mold. He recommended American Response Team, a water damage restoration company. A couple of days later, a fellow from Amerrican Response Team arrived to do a water detection examination in the walls and mold tests. He located moisture in several of the walls and mold. A mold test was done.The next day, another professional worker from American Response Team arrived. He proceeded to tear down the walls where moisture and mold were located. He built the plastic tents in the toilet room as well as the garage wall. Large fans were set up and ran approximately 6 days, 24/7, to dry the exposed wet lumber. He was here 8.5 hours on a Friday. Several days later, Felipe from American Response Team arrived to check out the progress. He used a monitor to check for any mold or moisture, which there was none. Felipe proceeded to remove all of the plastic shields from both the bathroom and the garage.I am very happy with the American ResponseTeam. I want to give extra attention to Felipe. He kept us updated on the process and program on this project. Felipe is a very knowledgeable individual as well as professional.In summary, I highly recommend American Response Team should you ever need their services. They are TOP NOTCH.

I was placed in the unfortunate situation of my water heater leaking under my floors and cabinets. My insurance company let me choose my own company for water mitigation/repairs and I chose American Response Team, due to their great reviews, and they absolutely delivered. Felipe has been nothing but amazing during the process and was able to schedule same-day to come do an evaluation of the situation. He was educating me on the whole process (start to finish) and answering any questions I had. Everyone on the team has done what was needed and did it right, which is the most important part.Ive never had to deal with this situation before, but I would recommend American Response Team to anyone who has an unfortunate situation like mine. We called around to a lot of different companies and got told “we don’t do that”. We had just about given up when we found 3 companies that said they could do what we were looking for. Each company came out and provided us with an estimate but American Response Team was by far the most professional and the most responsive to questions while we were trying to decide. They provided us with a very clear estimate of the work and the prices were broken down so you knew exactly what you were paying for.They were able to start the work within a few days and finished it within the estimated timeframe. While they were at our home they were all very polite and at the end of the day did a great job of leaving the area clean.We did have some equipment left at our home for a few days to help dry stuff out and when we alerted them to a possible issue they responded and took care of it right away.Would recommend them to anyone that needed their type of services.

This portion of the review is for the demo team. Manny was my main point of contact throughout the entire time. They were awesome! They communicated well, arrived when they said they would, and had professional and quick workers. We had our downstairs flood and they demo’d all the drywall and removed all flooring within 7 days. Prior to that they had moisture fans running.The reason I’m recommending them and giving 5 stars is because they were honest and did an outstanding job sectioning off the house that was affected so that we could still function within the home. They have also been dealing with all the insurance things on my behalf which has been nice. This has been incredibly stressful but with this company it has made it feel a little more calm.

We had American Response Team out in 2023 to fix water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It wasn’t a great situation to be going through, but I was happier going through it with them. Everyone I worked with was friendly and cared about getting my house restored.There was enough damage that we had to have a remediation crew out to demo some walls, cabinets, and flooring. Manny, David, and Jose were the best. They got everything done quickly and cleanly. They carefully removed damaged drywall and were able to save our backsplash and countertops by cutting out the cabinets from underneath them. Manny was super communicative and responsive. He always kept me in the loop and responded to all my questions. He made a stressful period much easier to go through.Jennie and Edrianne kept us moving through the process as we got into reconstruction. John came out to do some scans and measurements, and was always friendly and polite. Luis and Arturo guided us through the reconstruction process. Arturo kept us in the loop as our drywall, flooring, plumbing, and cabinets were all restored back to the way they once had been. If you’ve got dogs, they’ll love Arturo!Many thanks to the whole team for getting our home back in order!

Ive had some bad luck this year with the upstairs bathroom of my rental property having 2 major leaks within 3 months of each other. Felipe came to our house and after surveying the damage and discussing the situation with us, spent 3 hours setting up equipment to begin drying out our home. We had excellent service from these 2 men and could not have been happier with their work. They helped up with our upstairs master bathroom leak which ended up leaking into the laundry room below and involved our insurance company. We had to replace our entire bathtub and treat for mold. Right before we placed our house on the market, we had mold as a result of plumbing issue between kitchen drywall and stucco. American Response Team was suggested by Plumber Bob to us. Will assured that insurance aspect would be taken care by his team. Eric and team started working on the mold remediation immediately. He kept us informed on the process and completed the work on time. As the kitchen cabinets have to be removed, Luis stepped in for restoration. He was instrumental in providing estimate and getting the insurance approval. As we were getting close to placing the house on the market, Will stepped in after understanding the urgency, to get cabinet repair person, Benjamin, start working on it immediately. It was a great team work by everyone on American Response Team to get the complete work done in 15 days. I would definitely recommend American Response Team, if you ever need such a service.

It’s never anything you would choose to deal with, but if it had to happen I would choose to use American Response team time and time again. They were extremely efficient, had innovative ways of handling the dry out, worked extremely well with us and our insurance company to make sure everything was covered, thoroughly removed damaged areas, did great clean up and also appropriately sealed off the space, walked me through the process and were very responsive. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this was necessary because of the service I received from American Response Team. My family and I just recently moved in to a house several months ago and had the unfortunate happen when the water heater leaked into the interior of my home resulting in drywall and flooring damage. Didn’t know who to contact so I turned to Google and found American Response Team and contacted them immediately. Their field technician, Erik, called me right away and brought his team to clean up and dry out the affected areas. They did a fantastic job and were very professional. I appreciated the seamless process of taking care of the issue and the follow up calls to make sure we are ok. When the job was completed, I reached out to the folks in the office when I received the invoice and expressed my concern about the payment since we have a very high deductible rate on our insurance. Will, the owner, contacted me directly and worked with me on adjusting the invoice as much as he can. He understood my situation and shared his experience on water damage to his home as well. I’ve been fortunate in twenty years of home ownership to have never dealt with a major water issue before. However, my luck ran out this Monday afternoon when my water heater burst. I walked downstairs to find water coming up through the floor boards. I instantly called my plumber, Byron Hoch, from All American Plumbing, in a complete panic. They told me not to panic and that they would send out ART right away. In just over an hour from the initial call Suli Suleimab and his team were here. They had fans, heaters, humidifiers running. They helped me get a claim started with my insurance company. They walked me through the damage and got the walls, floors, and cabinets marked off for demo/repair. The next morning the crew showed up on time and began the demo work. They met with the plumbers from All American and strategized the best game plan for taking out and reinstalling a new water heater in a way that would get our house functional, allow for drywall repair and help the claims adjuster see the damage. They completed the demo work on day three and Suli was out here on day four to meet with the field adjuster and walk him through the situation. I would have been completely lost without Suli and his calming and professional demeanor to help us navigate this unfamiliar territory. I obviously hope our paths don’t cross again under a similar circumstance, but I do wish all contractors were modeled in the same fashion! Thank you so much for your help and expertise ART!

I requested help with a delayed remediation of mold due to a hot water leak in the crawl space. I found a few highly rated companies and Suli Suleiman called me within about 15 minutes of a web request. He listened carefully to my history of the work already performed and understood the leak had already been repaired and I was now asking for a check on the mold and air quality issues lingering after the tenant had moved out. Suli came by the next day and investigated both the crawl space and some other areas I was concerned with. He took pictures in the crawl space and gave me a range of remediation options.When Suli returned to do a crawl space treatment, he found there was water in the crawl space that would make the treatment less effective and postponed the work. He also made suggestions that I acted on for ways to prevent water entering the crawl space. If he only cared about booking the sale, he would have proceeded with the less effective treatment that day. Instead, he chose to wait so the job results would be optimized. Suli also gave me a great recommendation for an air quality testing company (Enviropure in Oceanside) that proved to also be outstanding.I totally respect and trust Sulis professionalism, knowledge, and obvious care for the people he services. I cannot recommend Suli and ART enough -- and I can see from the reviews that this is how he treats all his customers. Its clear that this company prioritizes service, communication, and honesty. This year unfortunately I had experienced 2 water damage losses and 1 fire damage loss to my rental condos. Fortunately, on all 3 incidents I used American Response for their remediation/ mitigation services. Both Felipe and Erik were outstanding to work with. They managed all the coordination with asbestos testing, mitigation, insurance claims submission and communicating with adjusters, plumbing etc.... and continuously gave updates to the work being done and completed. Not all companies handle and specialize in fire mitigation so it was very helpful to have them help me navigate through all the items and damages that occur with a fire to work with my insurance company and with them help me through with the claims review and estimate process. I was very pleased with their professionalism and their services. The owner Will, also was on site with the fire loss and available to assist with all questions I had as the insured and also was on site when the field insurance adjuster was evaluating the loss. John the estimator was also very helpful and attentive to addressing all the questions on the line item estimates for services rendered. Overall this is a great company to work with when you have unfortunate events like this that occur with your property. They make the event much more manageable and minimize barriers for the owner. Recently, the bottom of one of our lower cabinets in the kitchen completely collapsed. As we were removing the items from the cabinet, we realized all of the wood was soaking wet. We hired a plumber to do the leak detection, who then recommended we use American Response Team to get an estimate for mitigation. I agreed & within 5 minutes I received a call from ART’s team that same day. Their Sr. Field Rep, Charles Zemke, arrived (early, I should mention!), took the moisture readings, and spent a good amount of time explaining the process (this was the first time we’d ever dealt with something like this so it was great to get a detailed overview of the process). What I also greatly appreciated about ART was that they handle all of the communication with the insurance company and have a lot of experience doing so. The process moved FAST - after the initial appointment with Charles, the containment, dryers, and dehumidifiers were set up the next day (Saturday), and by Monday the demo started to remove the wet drywall and cabinets so the full drying could start. From that point forward, he pretty much came to check moisture levels almost everyday. Not only was the process fast but Charles was GREAT to work with - fantastic customer service, knowledgeable, professional and communicative. They worked with my budget to get it done.Their guys we fast, efficient, and kept me updated throughout the entire process.I appreciated that they were able to save a couple walls that some other mold guys said they had to demo which saved me money on the back end.When they opened up the walls there was much more mold (and more toxic) than they originally thought (from the mold test), but didnt add anything on to the original estimate.Also, Im big on companies coming into your house having the right certifications and insurance and Restoration 1 had all it all and didnt take any short cuts.Im really glad I decided to go with them and I would recommend them to anyone. Make sure you give them a chance to quote before you go with anyone else.

I would like to recommend you the American Response Team. Will the Owner helped us for our house damage part. When our coverage was capped, he still come several times to try to help us figure it out. They did not make us pay the balance as our insurance let us down. They are good and response team. We highly recommend them.
