Pricing was fair and the service was 5 Star!I came home today to a very hot house that was at 84º. I made a call to Kaltec at 4:44pm and got Ryan Start on the line. We discussed my issues (cold air not coming out... Ryan had me go outside and verify the central air was not running and the coils were not cold or frozen) and said it sounded like my capacitor was blown. He transferred me to a very friendly receptionist/scheduler who got me on the books, same day. I got a text verifying the appt from 5-6p and was super happy to get another text at 5:21 that technician, Dakota Gray, was on the way. Dakota was friendly and fast and was done by 635pm! New capacitor and a cleaning on the unit was done and I had COLD a/c coming out of my vents!!Ive had several clients use Kaltec and they have all been impressed, and I always refer them... Great response and speedy service. Responded to my HomeAdvisor request within a couple minutes, and swung by my house to check on my furnace within 20 minutes.They informed me of all of my options and explained exactly what needed to be done. Worked with me to find a long-term solution that fit my budget.The installer was very courteous and even helped me with the thermostat hookup, which he didn’t need to do.Overall, I felt that Kaltec treated me very fairly and provided excellent service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. The entire process was painless and handled very professionally. Kal took a look at our old system and in a few minutes was able to offer pricing and recommendations. The pricing was very competitive and they were able to be on site installing the new system 3 days later. Joe was the lead tech and could not have been more professional and helpful. We had an issue with a natural gas leak on a Saturday after the install began and Joe was onsite within 20 min and had the problem solved within an hour (and just to clarify the leak was not caused by them it was from an old dryer gas line) I would definitely recommend Kaltec in the future and will be using them for future maintenance and repairs.

Ryan was courteous and very helpful. He answered all my questions and made suggestions to get the best performance out of my AC system. He was thorough and efficient. I loved that you could schedule online with this company and their communications about my appointment were accurate and sent in both text and email form. Furnace went out, called them early morning and they were able to get us scheduled pretty quickly! It’s was during a heavy snow too! Fixed the issue and it’s been working great ever since. I’ve called kaltec whenever we need furnace maintenance. They always got it back working. (We could finally afford the permanent repair this last time). They also did a service check and clean on the AC unit after we moved in to our home.

We were very happy with our service from Kaltec Heating and Air. Their efficiency and professionalism was outstanding. Our furnace went out on one of the coldest days of the year. They came out immediately with space heaters to keep us warm and fixed the problem the next day. Several months later we had another minor problem and they came out immediately and fixed the problem. You cant go wrong with this efficient company.

These guys came out straight out on the same day when many companies did not gave an excellent quote and then came the next day and installed the furnace in a very meticulous and professional manner. My air conditioning stopped blowing cold air on a hot summer day and the weather said the next 10 days would only get hotter so I called 4 different HVAC companies to see when theyd be able to send someone over; all had an $89 initial assessment fee. Three werent available until a couple days or next week, but Kaltec said they could send someone over the same day. Ryan showed up in the scheduled time frame with a mask on (+1 for safety), quickly determined it was a capacitor issue (the top was almost blown off!), had a spare part on hand, and gave a reasonable price to replace it - $190 for part, labor, and waived the assessment fee. He replaced the part safely & efficiently, was knowledgeable when answering my questions, and now my place is no longer at 82F. If I could rate just Ryan hed get 5 stars.Im only docking 1 star from my review because when I scheduled my appointment on the phone I clearly stated my air conditioning was not working. However when I got the confirmation email it said my furnace wasnt working. Ryan also asked to clarify if it was a furnace or an air conditioning problem; he seemed doubtful it was a furnace issue especially on a hot summer day. Though in the end it didnt matter what the confirmation email said, it would have been better if the confirmation email accurately reflected what I said on the phone.

Extremely satisfied! They came in Monday evening to check my water heater. My water heater was rusted and needed to be replaced, they said they could replace it as soon as tomorrow. They came in the next day and got the work done. I dont have words to express how happy I am with their service. Professional, efficient and experienced. Kaltec is definitely the way to go!

Kal does fantastic work. He’s very pleasant to work with and has been there in a pinch when I needed him in the past. He gives it to you straight and let’s you know what must be done and what can wait for later as well. He does quality work. I’ve had Kal service my place for a number of years now and he’s great.Kal is very knowledgeable and I appreciate all the advice he’s shared on problem solving issues.Great service and they tell you what needs to be done and what you can hold off on too. They also let you know the age of your equipment and how many years you can get out of it before needing to replace it with consistent maintenance.

Their price for our water tank repair was substantially higher than the other company, but their work was excellent and so much better than what the original water tank came with. Had the AC go out on July 4th while we were gone. Kaltec was able to come out early the day after we got home and--while we expected to hear New AC unit needed--found out that it was just a little fuse issue. Saved us big $$$ during this rough patch.After fixing the issue, we were able to take some measurements for free as well as a quick Q&A about what our next steps would be if the unit died again.Great help, thank you again! Now that were all measured out, when the AC eventually dies Ill be able to replace it quickly.

I am so lucky I found them. My furnace stopped working, a technician sent by my home warranty company came two times and couldnt fix the problem. My house is freezing, I had to find a contractor myself. I called 5 heating contractors they all booked and cannot come this week. Kaltec is the only one that can come the same day. I called them in the morning and they came in the afternoon. the technician Kal is so experienced and efficient, he diagnosed my furnace and found out the problem in 15mins. they ordered a new control unit, and the new part came the next day, Kal came in the afternoon to replaced it. They saved my day. I do appreciate that they are so quick and reliable. I never wrote reviews before, but I must do this time for Kaltec. I would definitely recommend them to my friends. Our water heater went out and Kaltec had done work for us in the past so on a Sunday night I sent a text requesting a call the next day. I got an immediate text back asking questions and giving instructions on how to try to light the pilot. I could not. Monday. Before noon Kal was out and got the pilot lit. He also let me know what the cost would be for a new hot water tank, the price for a new starter, and what to expect That is what we liked about the company in the past. They are trustworthy and tell you exactly what to expect and what you need. We will continue to use Kaltec and recommend you do the same!

I had a great experience with this contractor. There were a couple of projects that they have e done for us so far. Kaltec have been very fair with thier prices, they’ve shown up every single time when the said they would and most of all they left our jobs sites clean. Even in the cities where the code inspectors are a little tough, what ever violations that needed to be address, they made the adjustments and we’ve passed every inspection so far without delays.I was honored when they asked me if I would give them a honest review to help there rankings. I have no problem sharing what I know about good companies. And in my opinion, this is a very good company.

I contacted KALTEC via their website on Friday and they responded via telephone within hours. WE made an appointment for Sunday.Kaltec reviewed our AC issues examined our AC unit on Sunday, recommended a solution and gave us quote. On Wednesday we contacted Kaltec and accepted their proposal. They took final measurements on Thursday.On Friday they disassembled the old AC and installed the new unit. The New AC unit was totally operational, work areas cleaned and old equipment removed when they left. Note this all occurred in 6 days.ALL APPOINTMENTS WERE ON TIME, INSTALL WAS EFFORTLESS AND COMPLETE. NO CALL BACKS. EVERYTHING THEY PROMISED WAS COMPLETE -- THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY PROPOSED INCLUDING REPLACING MY SUSPECT ELECTRICAL DISCONNECT UNITS.YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN!

So Id recommend this company. it was fast and affordable.The reason I gave 4 stars is because the tech didnt wear shoe covers, neither he took the shoes off when he walked in, especially considering the COVID situation thats been going around the whole entire world, he didnt have his mask on.

My furnace went out earlier this week. I called a number of companies to come out and evaluate what was going on. I have small children and cant go without heat. None of the companies that I contacted could come out for days, or just never answered or returned my call. When I called Kal he answered immediately and said he could come same day. He was at my home within hours and determined that my furnace needed to be replaced. That wasnt what I wanted to hear, but he was fair and made the process of replacing the furnace as painless as possible. Within 2 days or furnace was installed. He also supplied us box space heaters to borrow until our unit could be replaced and we wouldnt have to go without heat. I would recommend him to anyone, great service, fast, and fair.

I just bought my first home, and wasnt sure how I should recruit a HVAC technician that I could trust. I sent out a mass message on Yelps help feature, and Kaltec replied back quickly with a phone number. I called and was after explaining that I simply needed a certificate that my Heat Exchange was working, I was given available slots for the next day! I chose from 2pm-4pm as my slot, and was given the estimate over the phone, but they let me know that the services I was requesting was eligible for a DTE incentive as well. He arrived promptly the next day shortly after 2pm, had done my test within the hour, and gave me a rundown on the workings of my boiler and how to secure the DTE incentive. They accepted cards over their electronic device, and my receipt was sent to my email, as was my report. 10/10 recommend these guys. I will be calling them back to do a little more work for me too!

Contacted Kaltec Heating & Cooling on February 6, 2019 that morning for a service call because my furnace had went out I was able to schedule a same day appointment for a technician to come out to Diagnose the problem, once the tech arrived he determined the issues in all of 15mins and referred a business partner he works with, he was able to come out the next morning and fix the problem, my heat is now working and he charge a reasonable price. Cal installed a furnace and air conditioner in my hundred year old house in Northville while I was in California and had to communicate from afar. I had a problem with a badly corroded incoming water line into my water heater. I called Kaltec on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and he came to my home to reivew my problem. My existing water heater was over 14 years old and I agreed that to try and fix the corroded water line could possibly burst if replacement was tried. I asked Kal for a quote for a new water heater and he was subtantially lower than another company. I scheduled his company to replace my water heater the day after Thanksgiving and he arrived promply and replaced the equipment in less than 2 hours.

Kal is a great and honest individual. He isnt going to up sell you on anything extra that you dont need and he will give you a great price. A lot of HVAC experts will try to up sell you or give you a ridiculous price at the fact that you have to trust their word. Kal doesnt do that.I have had a new furnace installed with him and a new water heater tank installed with him. This was for a rental property which meant that everything had to be done flawlessly and with permits as a city inspection is required. I passed the mechanical inspection the first time around with the great work that kal had done for me.I highly recommend him to anyone!!

Cal was very professional and right on time. Also offered suggestions on how to get the maximum use of our furnace and benefit from its extra features. Bought a dual stage furnace from Family Heating and Cooling but it was never even mentioned that we had the improper thermostat or wiring for which this furnace was intended. Cal pointed out these deficiencies and has made arrangements to rectify these issues. Because of this shortcoming on Family Heating and Cooling we arent benefiting from the efficiency features that were designed into this unit!

Tammy, who took my call was very cheery with an infectious personality as well. Ryan was very personable, knowledgeable, and informative. He arrived with shoe covers and a mask ready to get to it done. He took his time and answered all of my questions (I usually ask lots of questions about most things). Everything was emailed, even the invoice and details that were discussed. Highly recommended.

I purchased a new Carrier furnace through Sears who contracted Kaltec to install it. I was very impressed when they asked to come out the day before to check out the area, make sure I had adequate electricity to install the product and get the proper measurements so there would be no hiccups during the installation. They arrived the following day on time, took the proper precautions so as not to damage anything while bringing in the new and taking out the old. They did a great job installing and cleaning up and gather all the boxes and old parts. They also did a walk through, very personable answering any questions and left a contact number.
