    The Scaran tech, Steve, was knowledgeable and thorough. He quickly found the source of the leak - a pipe that had frozen - and repaired it. He then checked the operation of the heating system to make sure everything was working properly. He gave excellent advice on how to avoid the pipe freezing and leaking again. I found Scaran and Steves service to be prompt, effective, and done very professionally. I commend them.

    I had heating installed in my 3rd floor bathroom which isnt easily accessible from the boiler that is located in the basement. Scaran did an excellent job researching options. They installed a wall mounted radiant heating unit that plugs into an existing outlet. Its sleek and heats up the space nicely. Im very happy with the unit and highly recommend Scaran for great customer service and value.

    So happy I called Scaran for my preseason Heating tune up. Scaran definitely had the best price around, and I was extremely pleased with the technician Tim! Not only is he one of the nicest techs Ive met, extremely courteous and always conscious of keeping the home clean, but he did a thorough job on my heating system.     I have had a contract with Scaran for many years and your scheduling and promptness to my requests has always been outstanding. In the last few days starting Saturday November 30th, 2024 my heating system began to fail and Donna with Scaran and others made sure that an emergency tech ( he came 2 times in one day ) would come to my home. As it was determined that I needed a new system, it was scheduled immediately and to make a long story short, the system is completedand we have heat. One more thing, your technicians that did the job were excellent in every way ( excellent employees and professionally knowledgeable ). These are employees to reward and keep. One final note: Anthony, your salesman, was also excellent. Thank-you for everything and have a Merry Christmas.

    Had a great guy come out to my house twice.2nd time I felt like a banana after it was just a door needed to be closed so furnace would turn on and he felt terrible I still had to use a service call for that but all fixed and no problems afterwards.Added after owner response . The worker came out for a different appliance , so it wasn’t his fault at all. Just wish I saw it the first time.

    I have always appreciated Scaran for their prompt service and maintenance calls, and their friendly customer service representatives who handle the phones. Now they deserve EXTRA praise for the way they handled our broken HVAC system. On a cold winter day when we had no heat, they came promptly to diagnose the problem, then returned to measure for a new unit and provide an estimate.On installation day, it was a well-orchestrated team effort to remove the old unit and install the new one. Our hardwood floors leading to the utility room were covered as soon as they arrived. The team was polite, professional, answered all my questions, and gave instructions on how to use the new unit and the new thermostat. Scaran, you are A+++!

    Very happy with SCARAN, yearly maintenance went very smoothly as always. Great guys, Viv on my heating and Eric on my A/C. Viv has been working on my heating system for years and has always been helpful and very pleasant, he knows his stuff.First time having A/C serviced and Eric was wonderful, very patient with my questions which he answered them all.     Brandon G did our yearly furnace maintenance and was excellent. He explained everything in detail. He placed labels on all the shutoff valves so that we would know what to do in case of emergencies.

    Point of note; I hardly ever leave reviews & never have on Google. So take this as you will that I even took this step.Have used this company since we moved to S.I. and to be perfectly fair we have only ever had but one bad experience with their service, which was addressed quickly. We have had our unit(s) installed & maintained, as well as ducts installed by Scaran. Their employees do excellent work and try to address every situation that may arise.Service technicians are well trained and professional. Office and administrative persons are very pleasant, professional and personable. Just had Mr. Eric out on a seasonal service check of our unit, he did exemplary work. Checked and tested all points, and addressed all concerns. As usual, fantastic service from a good & reputable company with excellent staff.

    Called Scaran Heating for emergency service to my heating unit. The Technician arrived within an hour of the call and repaired the unit.Lou was the consummate professional. He found the problem, explained the cause and repaired the unit. Lou is a true asset to the company

    Eric was the technician who did my air conditioning checkup. He arrived on time and was very courteous. Unfortunately, he found a leaking issue with my AC and explained in detail what my options were. I decided to have the unit replaced and he immediately called a salesperson to come to my house and explain the process and cost involved. The salesman arrived within 1 hour and was also very courteous. He explained the process and gave me options and the cost. Absolutely no pressure involved. I have used Scaran for 20 years so there was no need for me to check with other businesses. Scaran is the only company I will ever use. 5 star treatment every time.

    I worked with Anthony for a proposal for my home excellent price . I had Carlos and Sammy install a new heating and air conditioning units. They arrived on time, took their time installing our units, configured and custom made my heating area more spacious in my boiler area, they prepped the area, cleaned up everything perfectly, tested all equipment, answered all my questions. Carlos and Sammy were extremely knowledgeable, respectful and did a great job. I would give them a 10 star review because we are extremely pleased from start to finish. Carlos and Sammy are truly the best in this field I cannot be more happy with the work they performed. One of Staten Islands oldest establishments and absolutely the best in class.     Mike O was outstanding. He was very helping in explaining the maintenance he was doing on my A/C unit and answered all my questions regarding the A/C unit. He also explained about the possibility of replacing my water heater when it’s time to replace it. I will definitely have Scaran come to replace the water heater when the time comes and ask for Mike to perform the job.

    Scaran ROCKS! Robert, my sales person, was attentive, answered every question and promptly returned my calls. I had a new Carrier 26 seer AC and Furnace installed by one set of guys from Scaran but it wasnt quite right. Robert came back with his foreman and it wasnt up to Scarans high standards so Robert sent a different team. Carlos & Sammy came, took everything out, reinstalled it all over, these 2 guys are amazing and when you see their work you know you got the A team on the job not the D team. Their workmanship is perfection, they truly take pride in their work! Made everything just absolutely beautiful and reconstructed the venting / chimney vent, pipes, with no sharp edges, everything just flows. And they pitched the drain pipe for excess water so that its now gravity fed and drains down the same place my washing machine drains so NO MORE WATER PUMP is needed. If you go with Scaran make sure you ask to have Carlos & Sammy do your install, you wont be disappointed 😉 these 2 guys are the BEST!

    I had a Weil-McClain boiler installed today. The whole team at Scaran provided excellent and expertise and service from start to finish. Even their subcontractors were polite. Special thanks to Dave, Vin, Rocky, Gamani, and Josh who remained professional and polite throughout. Rob was great point person and salesperson. After this experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to them again for important home services and recommend them to neighbors and friends. I am hopeful there will be no issues with the boiler installed today! :)

    Brandon G. was the tech for our annual AC maintenance tune-up in July 2023. We are new customers to Scaran having switched our service maintenance contract from another company. We were extremely impressed! The service was, by far, the most thorough we have ever had. He extensively checked out our entire AC system. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and responsive to our questions. He was here for over an hour. We hope to get Brandon again when our heating and AC systems are due for future check-ups. Truly excellent job!

    We have enjoyed the professionalism of Scaran maintenance for many years and have the annual package. Today, we had our best experience to date with Brandon G. Friendly, thorough and competent, Brandon went the extra step on the regular summer maintenance, from changing batteries in the thermostat, marking important dials on the humidifier, and putting labels on important items including the hot water heater and furnace.     I called in the afternoon for a plumbing issue and luckily was able to get a technician in an hour and half. We didn’t know exactly where the leak was coming from but Alex K was able to find it. He explained everything throughout the process and was extremely professional. From the time I called to the end of a job that needed a wall cut and a pipe replaced was under 3 hours. Alex K was great and I would highly recommend Scaran’s plumbing service.

    Matt S., Vin B. and Gamini provided excellent service installing the new A/C unit and system. They were prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. They answered questions and walked us through the new system and reviewed things before cleaning up and leaving. Their electrician, Pedro, went out of his way to install one thermostat to control both the heating and cooling systems in our house. We called 3-4 companies to get quotes for the job, and went with Scaran because of their customer service and the quality work they do. I recommend them for any work. You wont be disappointed.

    The fan to the central unit stop spinning and it was making loud noises. Since it was Sunday, I filled out a request for service for Monday. They are closed on Sunday for regular office hours. I got a call back at 8am. I was just about to call them. Cut to the time the technician came to the house. He checked the unit, found out the capacitor. Luckily that was all that was wrong. The technician Michael OConnor was honest and professional. We talk in length about my unit. He was very patient. He could have sold me feron that I didnt need, or other parts. He was honest about the company pricing. I told him, I value professionalism, dependability and honesty when choosing a company. I definitely will go to them again.

    Have been dealing with Scaran for many years. The staff are all professional and respond quickly to whatever is needed. John Beynon came on time and addressed the issue with professionalism and quickly resolved the problem that he could and gave very useful advice to avoid future problems. He then got in touch with the company to address another issue that he knew who could fix it. He even came by to see how they were doing. Overall extremely satisfied with the company and personal service. I also want to give a shout out to Alex K and Michael K. They came and addressed the plumbing issue that required work to reestablish our heating problem. They not only fixed the problem but came back to be sure it was working properly. All in all, all three technicians were great.

    HomeDepot/Scaran HVAC, humidifier and water heater replacements/installation - the team, there were at least 5 people who replaces/installed the equipment and they were excellent. The project manager, Matt, kept me informed every step of the way, they were very professional, polite and efficient. The other team members (Dave and Gamini) - who were basically here from 9am through 6pm - were equally professional, polite and efficient. Scaran even sent an electrician to hook up the thermostat. The work was pretty extensive and they completed in 1 day. By the end of the day they did all the work, made sure everything was properly working and Matt showed me how everything worked and how to properly maintain the units. Cant say enough about how great they all were. Have already recommended them and will continue to do so. I also have the comfort of knowing that Home Depot backs the guarantees and that both Home Depot and Scaran are reputable. Would definitely continue to recommend and use them again for other projects. Also, everyone I spoke to at Scaran were helpful and very courteous.

    Just had a new Mitsubisi Ductless A/C with Hype Heat installed yesterday. As always SCARAN came through flawlessly, and professionally. Josh, Gami, and Nick made sure that everything went perfect with the installation. They take pride in their work which is important to me. They follow-up to make sure that I was satisfied. Also, I would like to extend my thanks to SCARAN for their recognition of Veterans. As a veteran that is also dear to me.     Called Scaran and Lou and Will were dispatched the following day (8/14/23). Our outside unit had frozen up and was not cooling. We earlier had shut it down so it would thaw and checked our inside filter. It was clean as we religiously change it to avoid any problems. Turned out to be the outside unit which was clogged with leaves and dirt causing excessive heat in the until and for the coolant line to work extra hard ultimately freezing. Lou and Will did a thorough cleaning of the outside unit explaining what had happened and what they were doing to resolve the problem. They were very professional, knowledgeable and educated us during the process. Topped everything off with some R-410 refrigerant and it has been working very good since. Weve had other work done by Scaran at another property and have also been very satisfied.

    Back in June (2019), we needed new water heater and used Scaran. We had a great experience with them so my wife and I decided to call on them again when our boiler (only 12 years old) was having problems.My wife and I can now say that we are EXTREMELY pleased with our experience with Scaran for our boiler replacement. It has been a pleasure to work with Anthony (sales) and with every person from Scaran with whom weve had the pleasure of interacting with. We are quite impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and respect everyone has given us.The installation itself went very well and all the various crews associated with it went like clockwork, from rip out and removal of the old boiler, to the installation of the new boiler, to the electrical aspect of the installation. EVERYONE associated with the project exhibited pride in their work. The craftsmanship and work quality is exceptional.Alvin (the service technician) who did a thorough diagnostic, broke the news to us about needing a new boiler to us gently and with compassion. The installation crew, Ray and Silva were true gentlemen - so courteous and respectful.... and left our basement cleaner than they found it. He was HONEST and explained everything and gave me options unlike others that lied, over priced and didnt even bother to call back, so I went with Scaran.     We had Scaran come yesterday to put in a mini-split air conditioning system. I have to say that we were thrilled with Scaran from start to finish. Anthony came to give us the original estimate, and he highly impressed us. He was friendly, informative, professional, and honest. We had already had 2 other estimates, but when Anthony came, we knew that we wanted Scaran to do the job. Our choice turned out to be the perfect one! Yesterday, the workers came nice and early, and really took the time and care to lay a foam-like cover on my floors - not just paper. This protected the floors from the dirt and the ladders. I was highly impressed, as I have had work done in the house before, and never had anyone use such quality material to protect my floors. The workers, Aaron and Matt, were such pleasant, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful people. They cared for my house as if it were their own. They were so appreciative of us offering them bottles of water - just so nice! We said that they could use the front door to go in and out to the truck, which would have been easier for them, but they politely declined, as they did not want to track anything through the house. They worked beautifully, and did exactly what we hoped for. The work was impeccable, and they took the time to clean up after. Anthony came back to check the work - also impressive. We are more than happy with Scaran, and thank Anthony, Aaron, and Matt for all they did. It was a wonderful experience, and I HIGHLY recommend Scaran for any work. I will certainly use them again!

    From our initial quote with Anthony it has been nothing but a pleasant experience.Dennis & Matt revamped my HVAC system this morning (my system was not installed by them, although I wish it had been). They are the neatest workers Ive ever had in my house - protective tarps placed over my furniture and a foam layer to protect my floors.Everyone weve dealt with has been professional, knowledgable, and delightful to work with. I cannot recommend them enough - dont question it - just use them!

    Used them years ago for service & maintenance. Today, I had a flood in my garage. I called their phone service at 7:30am, left message (office opens at 8). At 7:45, Lisa from their office called me and I explained the emergency. Plumber named John arrived appx 8:30. Thats FAST in my book! He was nice, professional, knowledgeable, and found the issues and made repairs in less than one hour. Invoiced immediately via field laptop and I received email soon after. Will certainly use them again!

    Scaran Technicians JOHN BEYNON and STEVE TANG:Been experiencing issues with my home heating system since the start of the winter season. My system, generally, has been very good to us over the years. This winter has been out of the norm. Had several calls for repair but the issues persisted. Today, Jan 8, 2021, the team of John Beynon and Steve Tang came in and thoroughly looked over the whole system - the switches, the burner, the chimney flue, the oil filter and the emergency switch. They found the issues, corrected them and replaced what needed to be replaced. By the time they finished, the heating system was working good as new and I had complete confidence that I will have heat as my home required. It is particularly important because we have 2 disabled adults living in my home. Thank you John Beynon and Steve Tang. Great job!

    I always seem to be in extreme duress when I have to call Scaran...no heat in December or in this case, no AC on a 90 degree day in May. Bottom line, I called and within no time, they were at my house to diagnose and fix the issue. This industry is littered with fly by night guys...they are the complete antithesis of that.Their techs are friendly, knowledgeable and best of all, respect my house...I mean..it was crazy...it was raining yesterday and the tech put on booties over his work boots to make sure not to mess up the floors...While I thought nothing of it, it made my wife VERY happy so double bonus.In the end, they couldnt fix my problems with repairs...but they were able to give me a great price on a new AC unit and within 24 hours, my system is up and running again.I would recommend Scaran to anyone who needed this type of work performed.

Good people.Now for the install:Scaran kept to the date and time selected. Right on it.The install just blew me away.:The men doing the removal and installation are True Craftsman. You don’t find that often. Scaran did.New ductwork was fabricated by hand using equipment in the truck itself.     The service is extraordinary. The service techs are not there selling you on everything they can squeeze onto a quote. My AC unit went out a couple of years ago. They gave me an estimate at 8:00 in the morning, I called them at 9:30 AM to tell them to install the system. The system was in, working, and there wasnt a spec of dirt left over. All by 5:45 PM that day. My wife swears by now. She was originally concerned that they were a little more expensive than the other prices we got on a few things, but now she recommends them to everyone we know.

    Very Professional and Quick service.... Very knowledgeable and helpful technician. Assisted me with an issue with zoned heating. Recognized and alerted me to a possible need in the near future in a zone.... he replaced a valve that was malfunctioning in another zone. A Little expensive for an installation of valve that can be purchased for almost 1/5 of the total price not including the cost of the diagnostic check... I was told that the cost of the part was 300. I would of probably been OK if he would have said that was the price including the installation .......still all in all...work was needed and completed efficiently.
