Sunday evening I discovered a faucet leak under my kitchen sink. I called Ira Hansen& Sons Plumbing to leave a voice message to set an appt., ASAP! Within the hour , I got a call back from Robin who took my info & proceeded to set-up the appt., the next day. How impressive is that!Chad, the certified installer, confirmed my findings & replaced the faucet & soap dispenser which I procured at Lowe’s that morning. Chad was extremely efficient & very informative on why I was loosing water pressure. He also pointed out the water heater thermal extension tank needed replacement every 5-years from installation date & flushed every year. Dawson was my representative from IHS in South Reno area, had a hairline crack in one of the brass components (which he showed me) where the water from the street meets in the garage into my house. Dawson showed that he was very knowledgeable as well & a very nice patient gentleman. He gave me four different scenarios to pick from that would fix the issue and the benefits of each option as well as a ballpark estimate of each & was spot on. Great experience. Our plumber, Gus, was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, and literally went above and beyond to provide excellent service. We hired Ira Hansen & Sons Plumbing to replace a shower drain as part of a renovation, and after assessing our situation, Gus drove to Home Depot, bought two drains, let us pick which style we preferred, and he returned the other one after he finished the job. We’ll go with them again anytime we need plumbing work done.

(I had a second company come out to diagnose my problem. I was told replacing my toilets would solve the issue, lol.) Chad had diagnosed the issue and told me the sewage line needed to be replaced.Robyn with Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing has literally spent over an hour speaking with me on the phone assisting me in how best to fix the problem, since I received two vastly different diagnoses. She was patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I received excellent customer service.While speaking with Robyn, she said it was possible to run a camera so we could actually SEE what was going on. The camera absolutely confirmed what Chad had stated. It showed waste inside my pipes in the crawl space.Ivan ran the camera and took pictures which were emailed to me.Chad removed and replaced pipe that had been incorrectly installed. He was efficient,professional, and left the work area and my home neat and tidy.While speaking with Chad, I learned all of the technicians, plumbers, etc. employed at Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing are certified. My elderly mother had a plumbing emergency this morning, New Years Eve day, that I was not able to deal with. I thought for sure we would have to pay a big fee for weekend service and was nervous calling a random plumber as my mother has been overcharged and taken advantage of by a local plumber in the past. I spoke with Desirea and she was extremely polite and professional. She sent Terry out in just a few hours and he could not have been more polite, professional, courteous, sincere, helpful and efficient. Not only did he fix our emergency, but he checked our septic and drains and gave me advice on updating several of our basic plumbing fixtures to prevent this problem from happening again in the future. We live kind of far out of town and have 4 dogs that were going crazy the whole time Terry was here, but he was just very easy going and kind and nice to our dogs, too. Most importantly, he was nice to my mother, who is very deaf and has difficulty communicating at times, and he was honest. This business charged a very reasonable fee and has EXCELLENT staff, with old fashioned manners and customer service skills. Could not be happier. Thank you, to Terry and Desirea.

They need to be upfront about their flat rate pricing. While they try to spin it as some sort of benefit to customers it is just a complete ripoff for anyone that knows what services should cost. Had a kitchen sink line that was clogged and needed to be snaked. Was informed when the tech arrived that flat rate for this service was going to be $450, as it was 3:30 on a Friday was left with pretty much zero options. Pay the absurd flat rate or be stuck without a kitchen sink for the weekend. 20 mins later the tech was done and on their way, which equates to about $1350 an hr for a plumber. Will not be calling them back and will not be recommending.Update: The company was in contact after the review and stated there was a billing issue, that the price was only $300 and sent me a partial refund. However, we continued to have an issue with drainage and they sent a new tech out to resolve. Aaron was fantastic to deal with, the clog had not been fully resolved the first time but Aaron took the time and effort to get everything back flowing. I very much appreciate that the company took the feedback and tried to resolve the issue. I also cannot recommend Aaron enough, ask for him by name if you call them.

I unfortunately had a leak in the middle of the night that flooded my house. I called Ira and Sons and Sean showed up right away. He was extremely helpful and professional, even going out of his way to notice a couple extra things wrong that could have caused the leak that was aside from the actual issue without trying to sell me on anything. He showed me how I could test it myself and made sure the condition of my home was safe before leaving. It happened on a weekend so obviously I was paying extra for the on call aspect of it, and he was being honest in trying to help on the cost savings as much as he could. Ira Hansen plumbing did a great job. When I called, and spoke with Taylor, they had someone available for the same day. Tracey arrived within an hour. Suggested what should be done and explained everything in detail. He replaced our garbage disposal and had everything working promptly. Tracey went above and beyond in making sure everything was working correctly and done to my satisfaction. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend!

Just had the best experience getting my hot water heater replaced. I called first thing Monday morning after I discovered it wasnt working Sunday night. The receptionist who took the call, Taylor was so friendly and got someone to my house by noon the same day! Tracy was the installer and was on time and extremely friendly. He got the job done quickly and got me up and running before the day was over. I highly recommend IRA Hansen and Sons to ANYONE! Great shop all the way around.

Very happy with our experience with Ira Hansen & Sons! I called earlier this afternoon to schedule a time for a plumber to come out and take a look at a couple of small projects. I was so surprised they were able to send someone out within the hour!Mike came by and did a thorough inspection of our water heater and bathtub-- both of which had a leak. He was able to quickly and accurately estimate the cost of repairs, and then was off to Home Depot to get the parts we needed.Mike did a great job explaining what he was doing and even saved us money by rebuilding some parts. Within two hours, he was completely finished and on his way. We will be calling Ira Hansen for our future plumbing needs-- highly recommend!

Weve used Ira Hansen Plumbing services for over 30 years with never a disappointment. Today Tracy & Brian spent a generous hour with us installing our new kitchen faucet and soap dispenser. . Tracy is not only a talented plumber, but a heck of a good representative for Ira! We met Brian for the first time today, and he definitely is going to be an asset to your company. Excellent work & service....not always easy to find these days....congratulation!Sept. 26, 17. Were sticking with Ira and his team after more that 30 years! Ira still deserves 5 stars! We had Tracy today for a minor fix and he is amazing! Did the job in less than 15-20 minutes. Taylor is friendly and efficient on the phone. We will use this company as long as they are in business....thats a promise you cancount on!

Tracy made a service call for me to fix some plumbing issues we had on a property in escrow. I made the appointment through their office with Taylor and not only was Tracy on time, he was a little. After only a few minutes Tracy had both problems figured out, gave me a estimate and completed the work in a timely fashion. Needing a final written report I contacted Taylor once again. The report was E-mailed to me the same day.I would not hesitate to recommend Hanson Plumbing to anyone needing fast, professional service.

Called yesterday for an annual inspection, to fix a toilet, and a dripping faucet. Having been a charter member of Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing since they started their annual inspection service they scheduled Tracy to arrive between 8:00 & 9:00 AM the next morning. Tracy showed up at 8:00 AM, performed the inspection, fixed the running toilet with an adjustment, tested the leaking faucet finding it not leaking anymore, and was done & gone in 45 min. I am an extremely happy camper with their service, and would recommend the outfit to family and friends alike without reservation.Called Friday, 3/3/17 to have Tracy install two new toilets replacing ones that had been installed by the builder 15 years ago. Tracy came out today, 3/6/17 as scheduled; removed the old toilets, and installed the new ones. Many thanks for a job well done.Called Friday 7/13/2018, 8:00AM for emergency service regarding a leaking water heater. Initially didnt have any technicians available, but Tracy fit me in, and arrived within an hour. I needed a replacement, so he was able to go and resolve his other appointments problem, pick up a new water heater, return, and remove my old one, installed the new one, and was gone by 12:30PM. This meant I would have hot water in plenty of time for my out of town guests who were arriving by 3:30PM that day. I dont know why it invariably happens that things break down at the most inopportune times. But Tracy came to my rescue with flying colors, and as usual did an excellent job. I really should mention that it was Robin who facilitated locating Tracy, and enabling him to fit me in to his schedule.

I had two water heaters installed last year and Danielle just replaced an instant hot water system in our kitchen sink. She ensured all was in working order before she left. Great company!

I initially called Nevada Heating to fix my water heater. Nevada Heating showed up and told me I needed a new gas valve; then refused to fix it, charged me $168.00 and told me to call a plumber. Ira Hansen & Sons showed up and fixed it in 2 hours. Good people, fast service, and no B.S. 10/10

I asked my neighbor which plumbing company he uses and he said Ira Hansen Plumbing. I called and within 24 hours had an appointment. Tracy replaced the water heater, cleared a slow draining sink and finished some piping left unfinished by another company. He completely explained what was needed and what he was doing, showed me how he lights the water heater and left everything very neat. The price was comparable with work that I have had done in the past. I would definitely use this company again.

Larissa in scheduling was super nice and friendly. She was able to get someone out to me within the hour for a garbage disposal install and to look at a continuously draining toilet.Tracy was our plumber and he was great. He didn’t charge us for the “easy fix” to the toilet and he gave me some tips about how to care for our new garbage disposal.Excellent customer service. I will definitely use them again.

I spoke with Taylor on the phone. She was so helpful and very nice. Tracy was to come out around 2 pm, but he called me at noon and was able to come earlier. Tracy was such a great worker and very knowledgeable. he had my old leaking water heater out and the new on in with all upgrades to code within a couple of hours. He taught me to flush the tank every 6 mos. and how to relight the unit. I will always use Ira Hansen plumbing for all my future needs.

Andy from Ira Hansen and Sons did a great job fixing several plumbing repairs at our new house. He was able to help with leaky sink pipes, a cracked pipe and insulating pipes in the crawlspace, and several repairs needed to the water heater. He was informative about all the repairs he would be doing.He was on time, friendly, and professional. The work quotes were reasonable. It was nice to find an honest service professional and company!
