We found that our furnace was not producing any heat on Friday morning. After calling a couple of service providers that would put us on the on-call list and paying the on call rates I called Howe Plumbing and Heating at 10:00 am.We got put on the schedule for Monday and started to make preparations to make things more comfortable until then.We later got a call around 1:15 pm. The office told us that Kyle N. would come see us around 1:30 to 2:00 pm.Kyle was courteous, professional, and quickly resolved the problem for us.Howe was also up-front about costs and scheduling.10/10 - will definitely call Howe again!

Howe is wonderfully responsive, professional, and efficient. My outdoor spigot broke and flooded my finished basement. They came the following day. Seth fixed it quickly. A week or so later, a hot water heater would no longer spark on. They gave me an accurate estimate over the phone. Again, the next day, Evan came out another fellow delivered the hot water heater they both worked together to bring the heater safely downstairs. As soon as possible, the 2 safely brought the defunct heater so they could cart it away. My oh my, showers are nice now! Thank you, Howe! Your company is my go-to! I even had gorgeous Moen bathroom fixtures installed in 2 bathrooms!Even though we had a sump pump installed and it was working, we still had a leak in our utility room. Joel from Howe trouble shot he checked where hoses were, if it was coming from the furnace. He dried the spot with a towel and proceeded with figuring out where the problem stemmed from. He checked hoses, cracks in foundation,he suggested concrete caulk cracks, but he appeared to have found the culprit when he placed a level on a downspout and it was angled toward the house. Great work, Joel!! Howe installed a new HVAC system in 1 day after my previous HVAC leaked and rusted out! The team work from 5 men with 2 men as leaders was spectacular. Afterwards, Howe sent appreciation cookies.

The garbage disposal in my kitchen sink stopped working and the sink would no longer drain. Scott from Howe came out and for only $99.00 (I would have gladly paid more) fixed my sink in under ten minutes. He also kindly took the time to patiently show me where the problem was and how I might be able to troubleshoot it myself next time. Scott was a friendly and efficient and highly capable service technician. Would highly recommend Howe to anyone.

I do not remember the service technician’s name who serviced our furnace but what I do remember is that he was super friendly and very personable. The job was completed in a timely manner, he helped us program our thermostat, and told us about a money saving annual service plan which we accepted. I’ve never had a bad experience with Howe plumbing and heating!

All are top notch!We were able to schedule a tankless water heater installation in the same week we had the initial quote completed. We had a failed repair from another company that we still had to pay for before this, followed by another company that tried to replace the whole furnace. Howe replaced a bad circuit board GUARANTEED the work or money back and fixed the furnace. As an above and beyond they even said that if we change our mind they would apply discount from the repair to the new furnace install. Much better than the other companies we called. 10/10 would recommend!

We hired Howe to do the plumbing for our office buildout and later added on HVAC work to replace some runs. The plumbing and HVAC work was done well and they were able to work with the City Inspectors to get everything approved. The workers were all helpful and willing to make sure everything was completed correctly.We had a small issue with invoicing at the end but I received a personal call from the lead of the HVAC team and we were able to resolve it. Ill certainly use their services again and recommend them to others.

We had Troy from Howe come over to address issues with 3 different sink faucets, and he ended up also fixing an outdoor hose spout and a tub faucet while he was here. Scheduling was easy with the ability to text and they were even able to accommodate a last minute time adjustment on my part. Troy was professional and efficiently took care of every issue while also showing me how to fix them myself in the future if needed. Everything was transparent and I felt the price was reasonable for his expertise.

Let me start out by saying wow! I over see 22 restaurants in the Sioux Falls area and work with several vendors. Hands down by far the outstanding employees at Howes are truly the best in their trade. They always have an honest and straight forward approach. I have worked with Steve S, Alex, Spencer, and Carla. They have always worked with us in time sensitive matters with a sense of urgency and their communication is the best I have ever had with any vendor ever. I spend more time on the phone with other vendors if they answer the phone to get updates, where as with Howe I never need to call them as they are keeping us updated in real time. Alex and Spencer were doing repairs on our roof top units in this crazy 100 degree plus heat. When they called with updates they were beyond friendly and informative, despite working in such harsh conditions. I wouldnt use anyone else for your heating, cooling, and plumbing needs. Keep up the great work! Its a pleasure doing business with you and I look forward to our continued partnership!

He provided insight in how to access my furnace to clean the ignition sensor to prevent the problem in the future.His transparency, and good will towards me is exactly why I would go with Howe when my HVAC system does die. Despite my furnace being over 20 years old he did not try to strong arm me to purchase a new one. Kyle showcased that long term business always beats short term profits. We called a competitor who was listed as the initial installer of the old water heater, they quoted us 48 to come out and replace the old water heater. This same competitor was more expensive and told me I could call around, but everyone would be out 2 days. I called Howe based on Google reviews, not only was Howe able to make it sooner, the quoted the same day. They quoted in 4 hours. Oh, they were also cheaper. Howe continued to surprise more. They arrived 2 hours ahead of schedule. Howe had the entire job done before the initial quoted arrival time. The staff was amazing, easy to work with, great service, quiet, clean, and everything a customer could ask for.

Everyone was very polite, helpful and efficient. My mothers Furnace stopped working. I called Howe and they sent out a technician who arrived when they said he would. He discovered a part that needed to be replaced. As the part was not in stock, he ordered it. He was told the part should arrive in 2 days but there was no guarantee. Since the Furnace was over 20 years old, my sisters and I decided it would be better to have the Furnace replaced. When I got the call stating the part did not arrive, I let Howe know we wanted to get a new furnace. Houston was assigned to come out to check things out and write up a proposal. He was very prompt and gave us 3 options. We signed the agreement on Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning 2 technicians arrived at 8am to begin the process. They placed a cloth over the carpet they needed to cross so they would not track snow and dirt. The entire process was done in a timely manner.We also discovered some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed. Once again the technicians arrived on time, were efficient, friendly, wore booties over there shoes and cleaned up after they were finished.I was extremely impressed with every person I interacted with and I would definitely recommend Howe to anyone with plumbing and heating needs.

I have a one-pipe steam system and after the local plumber I worked with retired I was at a loss as to who I could contact to service it. I texted Howe over the weekend after a total failure due to corroded pipe, and even though I am 70 miles away they fit me in in a couple days after I texted over the weekend. David, their steam expert was able to save my boiler even though the leaking condensate return pipe was heavily corroded to the heat exchanger. He also was able to trouble shoot another problem that the last guy didn’t diagnose correctly and repair that. I am going to work with Howe to get water softening to hopefully improve water quality and reduce corrosion related unreliability. David also left me more detailed maintenance and draining instructions than I had before. Finding a good steam tech now is nearly impossible and the fact that Howe has that expertise on staff and also an in house apprenticeship program to ensure that the next generation can serve these needs really impressed me. Their communication was also next level fast and convenient.

Great price for new furnace and A/C. Went above and beyond on service. Clean. Professional. We had an opportunity to get several quotes to replace our broken A/C unit and 25 year old furnace. Howe was over $2k cheaper. They were willing to use our existing equipment for part of it (zone system) since it was recently replaced and they had a slightly lower model A/C unit that does the job and is a big improvement over the old one (even when it worked). We had a furnace humidifier professionally installed 10+ years ago but it didn’t work well so we didn’t use it. Chad V and his team did a great job tying the new equipment into our old. They were very clean. Chad even fixed the humidifier that was not previously installed correctly from another provider.Chad took the time to help me install the thermostat app and help me set the settings to what our family needs and will be the most efficient.Every part of working with Howe was easy. Our quote was quick and well done. Joe was great to work with and answered our many questions. Chad was great at explaining how everything worked and got us set up for our needs.Highly recommend Howe!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. They were able to come the same day we called. Shawn and his partner were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Their fix was done quickly and done right. I even saw them pick up my tipped over garbage can in the driveway on their way out. Great service!

I have now used this company for 3 separate necessary checks and maintenance needs on my home. Not only are they responsive and make sure the work is done to completion but they are professional and friendly. There was a little bit of a mix up with communication for a quote but they were quick to get it handled so that the work I needed could be done.Micah did the most recent work with my plumbing needs and did a phenomonal job keeping me in the loop on what he was finding and searching for solutions to ensure the work got done effectively with very little alterations done to my finished basement. Given the age of my home it was a bit of a puzzle but he worked hard to find the easiest and most efficient way to complete the job.Howe is my absolute go to company.

New furnaces a year ago from Howe and one was not working. In less than 24 hours, Jim arrived to evaluate and repair. Ended up being a spider web creating an issue with heating properly. Jim was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and able to identify and repair the issue quickly. He did a great job of explaining the issue. Very pleased with this technician and Howe overall. Would use no one else for services.

I got home from a week out of town to a cold house. I called Howe on New Years eve morning and my furnace was running by noon - even though the tech had to run and get a part. I was happy about the holiday response time and my repair person was super helpful and did everything he could to make sure we didnt spend the weekend without heat. I bought my furnace from Howe and have been so happy with their services ever since.

I am extremely impressed with Howe’s customer responsiveness, consideration of requests to be completed with the work order, competitive pricing, and professionalism of all employees I worked with. Additionally, they were very efficient and effective in the installation process. They were transparent regarding all work to be performed, taking any additional time needed to explain questions and address concerns. Their ongoing customer service is exceptional. I look forward to an ongoing relationship with them, including annual maintenance.

Its been an unusually cool Autumn. Worse yet, our furnace just quit on us. Fortunately Howe Plumbing were able to have someone visit us the day I called. Micah was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and was able to install our defective blower the following morning after he picked up the part. Were now warm and grateful for Howes excellent service.
