I was extremely hesitant about getting my dryer repaired because I did not want to be taken advantage of. However, much to my surprise that eventually turned to respect, Mr. Pablo came to my home and repaired my dryer and even repaired a part of the dryer before he reassembled it. He then took the time to troubleshoot my washer that had a slow steady leak for more than 6 years. He found the cause of the leak and he is returning to replace the damaged piece. He is honest, forthright, and a really cool guy that doesnt try to take advantage of people. Zapata is my technician for as long as I have appliances or need HVAC services. GREAT COMPANY!!!

Great service! Highly recommend!I reached out to Zapata’s HVAC as my AC was not running or cooling. I called bright and early (around 6 AM) and received a response from the owner, Pablo (and not an answering service).I shared my urgent need for a review and potential fix of my AC because I was hot and did not sleep well for 2 days in a row. He re-prioritized his schedule and made it to my home that same morning.He looked at my unit for 10 minutes and was able to diagnose, consult on the issue, fixing and pricing, then fix my unit within the hour.I was advise that my unit and furnace would potentially need to be replaced soon due to the outdoor AC unit not being the right size for my home, and my furnace being nearly 30 years old.A few days later, I moved forward with replacing the whole system. Zapata’s made it simple and easy to complete the transaction and schedule my appointment.I appreciate that all my questions were answered and all relevant information was shared (including the warranty through the manufacturer).I appreciate honest, timely, and good work especially when it’s done to my home.I highly recommend Zapata’s for your HVAC (and even plumbing) needs.

My AC unit was struggling during the recent heat wave. I called one highly-rated company based on Google and Nextdoor recommendations. They scheduled me for a week later. The tech took the $130 fee and quickly left and not to be heard from since. I had a bad feeling about the interaction so I called around more. Fortunately I found Pablo. Immediately on the phone, I can tell hes a competent guy. He said my issue sounds 99% fixable and does not need a new unit. He came out the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered a part on the spot. A week later today, he worked in 95 degree heat to install the part and cleaned my unit inside out. Now I have AC again in the middle of another heat wave.I find Pablo considerate and friendly, in addition to being knowledgable. He is a good listener and very easy to talk to. He seems to run a one-man operation without much overhead. He answers calls himself. No wonder he is so responsive in delivering his services, and offering fair prices.I was blown away by the experience. He is definitely my go-to guy for HVAC issues. He is what I call a problem-solver who loves to fix things. He said he also does plumbing, appliances, and other jobs around the house (I might give him a try on those issues). I recommend Pablo without reservations.

I called this company and two other local shops. All but this company gave me a time for today (even with how busy this weekend seemed for ACs to stop working). I called at noon and Pablo showed up at 3 pm (had a 2-5 pm window). Within 5 minutes he figured out we had a bad compressor and changed it on the spot and boom, no more need for fans at night. Another company told me the compressor in my freezer was broken and quoted me ridiculous. Called Zapatas for a second opinion. Pablo responded quickly and came the very next day on a Sunday. He said the compressor was working just fine, found the root of the issue and fixed it for a third of the cost. Honest and reliable. Will be calling him for all my appliance and HVAC needs. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing experience with Pablo. He reached out very quickly and was able to service my HVAC system and get us back up and running in just a few short hours, even on a Sunday.He even went as far as explaining everything he was doing and showing me the problems and solutions. He even suggested that we move the dryer vent that was clogging the cooling coils, something I hadn’t even considered.He was very professional, easy to talk to and work with, and most of all, he has that “old school service” mentality. I have used Pablo 3 times for his HVAC services and was very pleased with my experience. He is very personable and knowledgeable, not hesitating to share his nuggets of expertise to help his customers in the long run. Pablo is passionate about his work and his customers.The first time was when my condenser froze over, forcing me to shut off my heat pump during the summer to prevent further damage. Not wanting to bake in the heat, I contacted several HVAC specialists and reached Pablo. We had several back-and-forth texts, and he guided me on what he needed me to do before he came the next day. As I said before, he is very personable. He had a wealth of knowledge that he shared while we talked through his diagnosis and was upfront with his recommendations and my options on how to handle the refrigerant leak. On a side note, he also fixes appliances and gave me helpful information about my refrigerator issues. I was impressed and had a great experience, especially with the heat pump back up and running. Not to mention his price was very reasonable.The second time was when my heatpump was short cycling, which he diagnosed as a failing condenser. We talked through my options and I already knew this Heat Pump was not well maintained from the previous owner before Pablo entered the picture. Ultimately, I decided to replace the unit since replacing the condenser was already expensive and the years of neglected maintenance likely shortened its lifespan. We spent a week talking through my options, models, and pricing before I decided on the unit I wanted. He was patient, prompt with his response, and just great throughout the process, giving my recommendations and answering my flurry of questions and making sure I was happy with my decision and price point.A week later he was back for the third time with the ordered heat pump. He installed everything in the sweltering summer heat and made sure everything was in perfect working order. A month and a half later, the unit has been working amazingly and I am very pleased with it. 10/10 would use him again! Thank you, Pablo.

Just want to let everyone know, if you need a plumber in silver spring, or an HVAC tech, you need to call Pablo Zapata. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I had him come do some preventive maintenance on my HVAC system earlier in the summer. Last night, he saved the day.I was having problems with my dishwasher and I noticed water on the floor, so I went to shut off the angle stop for the supply; and then I heard a telltale hissing sound. Realizing that either the angle stop had failed or I had a much bigger problem, I shut off the water to the house and called for help. As it turns out, a poorly braised joint had failed further down the line in a very challenging place to reach.Pablo came out at 9:00 pm on an emergency call and found the line in the ceiling and executed a difficult repair and got our water back on so that we would have water in the morning when our kids got up. He really saw the pickle we were in and came and helped us when we really needed him. It’s rare to find someone who sees and cares about their customers like that.

With all our food in coolers, we were worried we would have to wait a long time for a part to be ordered, or even have to buy a whole new refrigerator. Other companies responded, much later, and with MUCH higher prices.I contacted Mr. Zapata, agreed with his terms, and he arrived within an hour. He completed the job in about 20 minutes. He also took a look at our malfunctioning dishwasher, without further charges.All said and done, Ill be bringing back Mr. Zapata to do further plumbing work for us, as well as a complete HVAC job. I highly recommend Zapatas HVAC Systems! Pablo was quick to respond to my cry for help with my washer. He arrived exactly when he said he would be there. He explained everything he was doing and why he believed it would help in the diagnostic. He even showed me a couple of things about my washer that I didnt know and I am a person who reads the manual from cover to cover before using anything. He is honest and wont make you spend money that you dont need to. He will do everything he can to repair instead of replace if it is financially feasible to do so. Pablo was able to fully diagnose the problem and did not get offended when I told him that my husband would probably be able to replace the parts himself. Pablo offered to be available should my husband find that he would like some help with the project. His prices are very reasonable too! He will definitely be first on our list of people to call should we need any of the services he offers in the future!

I called Pablo Zapata after he got a great plumbing review on Nextdoor Watson. I was wanting a couple toilet repairs done, one for a toilet that half flushed and another that the water would not stop running. He was AMAZING and came out right away. In additional to fixing these issues with ease he also looked at some other plumbing and appliance issues we had around our house. He got them ALL done and addressed on the SAME appointment!This included fixing our freezer that was intermittently leaking onto the kitchen floor, replacing a kitchen faucet that leaked under our sink as well as installing a new toilet in a different bathroom!!I went out and bought a new toilet and kitchen faucet with his advice as he worked to finish the original toilet work and then he installed these things as soon as I got back. He was VERY efficient and reasonable!He also looked at my dishwasher and clothes washer that were not draining properly and smelling. He told me what parts to order which I have done and he will be back soon to get these appliances working their best.He is very personable, loves dogs and more than exceeded our expectations. We will continue to use him in the future for plumbing/HVAC repairs and any other handyman work he can and is willing to do. ❤️ You won’t be disappointed. 🙂
