We hired Alexander from Tamar Home Services to repair some damaged wood trim on the exterior of our house. The trim was damaged due to water leakage. Alexander replaced the trim and painted it so that it looks brand new. He also identified the sources of the leak (there were more than we originally realized), caulked them, and painted those over as well. The quality of the work was top-notch. Everything was fixed very promptly (within a week of contacting him). In addition, the price was competitive; his was the lowest cost of the quotes we received. Overall, we were very happy with Tamar Home Services and would hire them again for a future project.

I had such an amazing experience with Alex and the staff at Tamar Home Services. From the very beginning, Alex was professional and thorough, and took down all the details that I communicated with him regarding the fixes and changes to our home (which we had been putting off for some time, as our previous handyman was no longer responsive). We had our garage molding caulked and repainted; our front door, house number, and front door border/molding repainted; and one of our laundry room doors was replaced, which had sustained some damage, some years ago. Alex even ordered some replacement door stops that our cats had long since chewed off, for the laundry room doors. The staff was courteous and professional, and we are very, very pleased with the results.We will definitely be having them back over for more enhancements! Thanks again!

Alex and his helper from Tamar Home Services performed some miscellaneous jobs in and around the new home I recently purchased.Although, he mostly handles big projects such as kitchen and bathroom remodeling, door replacement, etc. I had him come in for random work such as installing drapery rods, shower curtain rods, hand towel rings/rods, door mirrors, put silicon caulking next to the sinks, repaint my house number, and clean out my dryer vent.He showed up on time, was very knowledgeable and professional. He offered some great suggestions and advice for my home. I found him to be very honest, helpful, responsive, polite, courteous, and he charges reasonably.He’ll soon be replacing my storm and patio doors, installing new lock and handle for my gate and doing some electrical work as well. Highly recommend him!

Alex and Jorge have done work on my condo three times now. Each time I reach out, Alex responds almost immediately and is able to have someone come out the same week. Alex came out for an estimate the day after I contacted him and the team was here with all the supplies two days later. They do excellent quality work, are quiet and professional (I work from home), and are fast. The prices are always more than fair and the team is extremely reliable. I would recommend them to anyone who needs handyman and/or painting services.

Alex and his team did a great job on our project. They repainted our front porch, all the trim and shutters, repaired some damaged trim on doors and windows, painted our deck and gazebo, and fixed our fence. They also did power washing of our brick. They even fixed a door that would often stick even though other contractors said it couldn’t be fixed. Alex was very responsive throughout the project, and his team were extremely professional and courteous. We are very pleased with our new outdoor look and will reach out to Tamar Home Services for future projects.

Tamar Home Services are the best handymen you could ask for. We have used them twice so far and I know we will call them many more times for whatever we need done in our house in the future. We never need to worry about finding a good handyman ever again! Theyve done really excellent drywall for us in the past, and most recently they addressed some water damage/window caulking issues and some other general repairs. Alex is always extremely clear with what hes going to do, and he keeps you updated throughout the day. He is genuinely invested in making sure your home is in a better state than when he arrives. The work is always top notch from start to finish, thoughtful, professional, thorough -- and so is the clean up! You will be more than satisfied, we cant recommend Tamar Home Services highly enough. We had an issue with a previous handymans work repairing our back window frame. Alex came out quickly to assess the problem and provided a quote the same day. During the repair, he identified how to best fix the issue so that we no longer have problems with water leaking in through the frame in the future. The repair was done expertly and Alex was communicative throughout the whole process. His team also repaired several cracks on our front porch ceiling and did an excellent job repainting the area with the proper paint to withstand the weather. Alex and his team did great work and we look forward to using him again in the future!

A friend referred me to Alex and I was very happy she did. After an expensive repair to a waste pipe, I was left with holes from floor to ceiling. Alex responded quickly, and a day after sending me an estimate, he had a crew repairing the drywall (and plaster) walls. The repairs were completed quickly and professionally and my walls look great. I will definitely contact him again for future work.

Alex and his team have performed a lot of work on our house, all of it with great results. We recently moved to a single family home in the Kensington area after living in DC in large buildings. Our current house, however, was not without need for improvement (as is common in the area). Alex was recommended to us by a friend and has been our go-to for a number of repairs and projects. The largest projects have been a remodel of our master bath and a remodel of our half-bath, both of which were performed quickly, professionally, and have resulted in great improvements to the look and function of our home. Additionally, their smaller repairs and projects, such as installation of fans and exterior lighting, have improved the comfort and safety of our home. Their professionalism and amiability are equal to their workmanship, and they performed their work with the utmost respect of our home. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

Our child pulled a towel rack out of the wall. Apparently it was not installed through a stud.We were quoted a great, fair price for the repair. The company was on time for the estimate appointment and the appointment for the repair. They picked up the paint, repaired the drywall, repainted the entire wall, and reinstalled the towel rack. We also asked them to recaulk our sink. The work was impeccable. I’m looking forward to hiring Tamar Services again for other projects in our home.

Tamar was literally such a gift!! Reliable and dependable, was always on time! He made repairs to a home our college aged son and 8 boys shared (so... say no more!). He repaired cabinets, replaced two lights, mended homes, replaced blinds.... all done with me in NJ ! He FaceTimed me as he walked through the home so i could show him the repairs and went above and beyond.... noticing that a few more blinds needed to be replaced. He purchased the supplies, sent photos of the work once finished and asked for payment only when the work was completed. Wonderful!!!! Would give 10 stars if i could.
