My husband and I bought a 100 year old house that needed updating. After doing a lot of research, we decided to work with Ben and his team to try and achieve the vision we had for the house. It was important to us to work with someone who could update our kitchen and main bathroom while keeping cohesion with the rest of the house. Their team made wonderful design choices that have made the updates feel like they were original parts of the home. They’re detail oriented, and very thoughtful with all the different executions and cleanup. Their team was very professional and respectful, making working with them a joy. Most of all, it was their concern for our happiness with the outcome, and well-being throughout the project that would make me work with them again.

We recently purchased a home that is over 100yrs old, and the porch and basement were in need of a refresh. It was important to us to work with a contractor that had experience preserving the character of older homes, and after much research, we selected Ben Quie & Sons because they are specialists in this area. We are so glad that we did. Not only did they do beautiful work, they were enjoyable to work with, and they helped us make design selections that we are really happy with.

We had a kitchen/dinette remodel that we worked with BQS on. They did an excellent job from projection inception to closure, from design to product selection to build. It took roughly two months for two rooms (note that existing cabinets and appliances stayed in the kitchen), which feels incredible to us. New counters, new custom cabinets in the dinette, backsplash, vent liner, some demo and investigation around old leaks, and a partial wall build were all included. Also new lighting. All of the BQS employees were fantastic, we enjoyed working with them, and, overall, good experience with the subcontractors they use, as well.

Ben Quie & Sons did a complete kitchen remodeling job for us and the whole team was simply terrific. They are completely reliable, do outstanding work, are helpful and easy to deal with, and were very communicative through out our project. We were (and continue to be) extremely satisfied with the results, and will be using them again when we redo one of the bathrooms in our house.

Their crew and subcontractors were excellent in so many ways, including: Assisting with design choices; Keeping us informed about progress and any issues that arose; Being respectful of our condominium neighbors and working with the condominium board and HOA requirements (even more difficult during the pandemic!); and Performing beautiful work. Ben Quie & Sons remodeled the kitchen of our hundred-year-old, very idiosyncratic SAP house this spring. They did an outstanding job in all respects, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who cares for remarkable craftsmanship coupled with old-fashioned business values like reliability, honesty and attention to detail. Plus, they satisfied my lifelong yearning for cherry cabinetry! My only hesitation is that the kitchen is now almost too beautiful to cook in.

BenQuie & Sons were great to work with on the remodel of our kitchen and two bathrooms. The quality of work is top notch. They are very responsive to questions and really listened to what we wanted in our remodels. The lead carpenters were fabulous. Leaf has great vision and can calmly resolve issues. One of our remodels happened right during the first Covid shutdown. Ben called us to ask us our thoughts on continuing the project and explained the steps they would take to maintain safety for us and them. We felt extremely comfortable having them in our house during this time. Great communication, kept to the schedule and we love the final product in all three cases. We highly recommend Ben Quie and Sons. You will not be disappointed if you hire them.

I love Ben Quie & Sons attention to detail and workmanship. And that includes giving us a schedule at the beginning of the project that they met at the end despite discovery of some additional work that was needed because ours is a 1916 house. They remodeled our kitchen, expanded the main bath, added a powder room, created a full bath in the basement. They arranged for installation of insulation, central AC, much electrical updating, and refinishing of maple and oak floors. Any time we had a question, we got an immediate answer with useful information. Both the employees of BQ&Sons and their sub-contractors were congenial and responsive. We would be thrilled to contract with them again.

BQ&S remodeled the kitchen in our 1917 home. The kitchen was a design challenge--three doors and two windows--and we didnt want to increase the footprint. Ben did a great job designing a kitchen that would maximize the space, and provide all the features we wanted. He came up with some great ideas, and also listened and incorporated the ideas we provided. The work process was as painless as it could be. I was amazed at how clean the rest of the house remained, and they set up an almost fully functioning kitchen in our living room (we only had to do without a stove). The craftsmanship is top notch and the schedule was on time. We are thrilled with the end product. We will use BQ&S again!

We had a great experience having Ben Quie and Sons replace remodel our bathrooms. We had one and a half bathrooms where the basement bath was toilet only. They added a shower stall and cabinetry that was far more functional/appealing that what we had. The updated our main level bath creating more counter space and storage to this small bathroom. In 2019 Ben Quie and Sons remodeled our kitchen improving functionality, adding counter space and created more storage by changing locations of doorways. We are happy to have the fridge in the kitchen versus in the back hall. They were on schedule, on budget, clean, courteous and were great to work with. We enjoyed working with the whole team and would highly recommend their services.
