    Fred and Joey are a very hardworking team whose loyalty to their customers and knowledge of their craft would be impossible to beat. They arrived timely, worked nonstop until the job was complete, and then cleaned up thoroughly. They demonstrated just as much pride in our beautifully installed water heater as we are now proud to own it. They went the extra mile with a solid explanation of everything expected, both before and after. We feel fortunate to have been referred you guys. Thank you for performing to your best, and for allowing us to feel the confidence that everybody needs to have in a water heater!

    I was taking my dog out into the backyard, when I saw a trail of rusty water coming out from the water heater closet which is on my patio. When I opened the door , there was water leaking from the roof down on top of the heater. Because I had a power ventilator , which the motor sits on top of the heater, the leak fried it. Since the old heater was over 11 years old it was not worth fixing. Because of his reputation, I knew when the time would come to replace the heater , Fred would be the person to call. I called him on a Saturday morning and he and his Son-in-law Joey were here in less than an hour. Fred looked everything over and we agreed that the leak did the heater in. He wanted to come back on Sunday morning to get a closer look at the vent on the roof since it was raining at the time. He found where water was leaking down the pipe and replaced the vent pipe so it could not leak anymore. As it turned out there was a second leak away from what Fred fixed. I had a roofer find and repair that on Monday afternoon. Fred and Joey were out here about 9am on Tuesday to replace the heater. They have a quality that so many repair people are missing. They take pride in their work and do it well. My wife and I also enjoyed visiting with them. It was so nice to have hot water again after being without for a few days.For those wondering why it took a few days, I had to get my roof leak repaired in addition to what Fred fixed around the vent and Fred had to find a model that would fit in a very tight closet since my old one was discontinued. Fred and Joey were polite no matter how many questions I had. They cleaned up all of their mess before leaving.Thank you Fred and Joey for a job well done

    We had a great experience with Fred and Joey at A2Z Water Heaters. We called them up on a Saturday when our pilot light went out, they came the same day to inspect, and were back on Monday to replace the water heater. Service was top notch and I really appreciate how they walked me through all the install steps and different features of the new unit. They even came out the following day to fix an additional problem that wasnt immediately identified. Its always best to work with a local contractor. I would definitely recommend A2Z.

    I discovered our water heater sprung a leak at about 8:00AM on a Saturday morning. After some research and conversation with friends and family A2Z was recommended to us.I called Fred with A2Z at about 9:00AM on the same Saturday my water heater broke, and he was at my house by 11:00. After inspecting my unit, Fred gave me the run down and got straight to the point with everything that needed to be fixed. He communicated clearly and explained the process. To my surprise, he was able to return Sunday, the next day at 8:00AM and we had hot water by 12:00PM.I highly recommend A2Z. The best customer service I have ever experienced from a contractor and his pricing is very fair. Call Fred at A2Z and you will not be disappointed!

    Unless you get multiple estimates and talk to several companies in the Sacramento area, you won’t truly appreciate how great A2Z is. The way Fred and Joey explain the job they will do makes you confident in their ability and work ethic to do the job right. I went with A2Z to replace my older water heater and couldn’t be happier with them. It’s hard drop so much money on these kinds of jobs in your home, but the pain wasn’t there because I knew the quality of the service and work was worth the cost. I usually feel like I lost when it comes to paying for services, but not this time. I just wish they did more than water heaters because I would love to use them for more things. Thank you Fred and Joey. Hope I can find more people like you in the future.

    If you have to replace a hot water heater do not hesitant to call Fred at A2Z Water Heaters. 5 stars is the highest rating I can give here, but they deserve a 100. I can not say enough about Fred and Joey. Our water heater broke on Tuesday night and after dealing with our home warranty company and their service provider, and not having any action by our home warranty company, I called Fred Saturday morning. He listened to my situation and never ending questions, They were currently on another job but arranged to come out and look at my water heater that evening. He went over all the details of the code upgrades and other work they would need to do since my old tank was on a pedestal covered in sheetrock that was now damaged and had mold. It is now Sunday evening and they have completed all the work in one day and remember it is a weekend . They replaced the tank and the pedestal and the sheetrock and used a mold inhibitor. My home warranty company service provider would not touch the job until the mold had been removed which would have meant we would have to remove the old tank. A2Z does it all. I am thankful to have hot water again but I am truly grateful to have met such wonderful people that do such quality work, are caring and professional. When Fred and Joey left Saturday after signing the contract I knew they were people you could trust, and now that the the work is completed they have truly earned that trust. I will recommend them to everyone. By the way, right after they left I started writing this review and my husband is taking a hot shower.

    What a great experience! I did a lot of research before picking a company to replace my old water heater. The reviews online about A2Z were all glowing and the real-life experience did not disappoint. Fred, Joey, and Angel proved that theyre actively involved in a small family-run business that prides itself on customer experience. They explained everything, communicated well, provided all paperwork, set up the permit and inspection by the city, and consistently let me know that theyd be available for any issues or questions. Theyre all clearly experienced pros at what they do.

    I could not have asked for a better experience. I called and Fred and Joey came out the same to look at my water heater, which was old, and honestly, dangerous. He explained everything in great detail, which I much appreciated. He provided me with the cost of replacement, and came early the very next morning to do the job. I have not had such great service from any provider in a long time. Fred and Joey made the experience a pleasant one with their patient, and kind personalities.

    Fred sold me on his service. He educated me on why he’s so meticulous and detail oriented with what he does. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and could have easily swapped out the water heater myself. After Fred explained to me what was wrong with my water heater (Many problems since it was installed in the house in 2003). He then explained why he will upgrade and replace every other related component to meet or exceed code. I realized that I could easily swap out the part and save some money and do it my self, but if something went wrong, I could receive a fine from the city, or at worst, burn my house down. He installed the water heater like it was his home. Very happy that I went with A2Z

As a single parent of a severely autistic kiddo, Mr. Ford and Joey are awesome, kind, and respectful. Understanding and patience. Also did a great job replacing the Water Heater Tank.     I have been a customer of Freds since before he started focusing just on water heaters when he was doing General Contractor work. I have always been satisfied with his work, and getting my new water heater installed recently was no exception. He brought my water heater up to the most recent code requirements for Elk Grove and the finished product is not only functional but also very neat, clean and elegant, please see picture. It obviously passed inspection with flying colors. Honestly, how many jobs around your house are done by the owner of the company who is also a licensed General Contractor? Not much I assume.     Fred, Joey, and Shelley provide the most courteous and professional customer service Ive ever seen. Fred provided a lot of information on water heaters - more than I thought there was to know.     Mostly this will be a repeat of what every other customer is saying.I had A2Z Water Heaters replace an electric water heater in my garage. The whole process was very positive. I was pretty sure I was going with Fred as soon as he gave me his quote. However, I did my due diligence. I received other quotes, met a couple other installers, and I then went with A2Z because of their prior reviews and my meeting with Fred and Joey (helper/son in law).Fred was very nice on the phone setting up the initial quote appointment. He and Joey were on time, pleasant, knowledgeable, and appeared passionate.The installation took about 3.5 hours. The install was doing very nicely, and Fred explained each thing being done and why. A2Z cleaned up after they were completed. The next day I received an email from Shelly with my permit information, warranty, and a follow up for any concerns. Shelly received my availability, and set the inspection up with the City of Sacramento. This inspector just left my house, and he was pleased with the install.Fred is a licensed plumber and general contractor. He specializes and installs water heaters. His main objective is to do the job correctly and to the customers satisfaction. There is never corner cutting here!Normally, I would do a good review, and then hope to use the company again in the future. I only own one house, I only have one water heater; and, A2Z only does water heaters. Since, I wont be doing another purchase with A2Z, the best thing I can do is leave a great review and recommend them to friends, family, neighbors, etc.

    Freds work is more than top notch! Prior to my new water heater installation,I was so grateful to Fred for patiently walking me through the process of turning off my leaking water heater and the gas so it wouldnt EXPLODE! Fred truly cares about the quality of the work that he does. He and his assistant Joey were prompt, professional, and they completed the job when promised. What more could a customer ask for? I told Fred that the water heater looked beautiful. And it really does! I was really pleased with the work that they did and would wholeheartedly refer others to A2Z Water Heaters.

    You won’t find a more competent, detail oriented or nicer guy than Fred at A2Z waterheater. Took out an old 17yo unit that was ready to explode.     Hired Fred to replace the water heater in my home. I called him on Monday late afternoon and he came out the next day to look over what needed to be done. He was thorough and took an educational approach to what needed to be done as he walked me through it step by step. He came out Wednesday and completed the installation flawlessly. Shelly scheduled the inspection for Friday after providing me with the permit and warranty information for the unit. After the inspection, the inspector asked me to tell Fred this is an amazing installation, I dont see many jobs this done this well. I cant recommend A2Z enough.

    A2Z did a great job! We called them just before 5 pm in the evening after we discovered a leak in our 20+ year old water heater and Fred and his son were at our house at 8am. They provided a quote and explained in detail what they were going to do. When we gave them the go ahead they immediately started working and had a new water heater installed by 1 pm. A2Z also scheduled and coordinated the inspection, which went smoothly. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a new water heater.

    These guys did an amazing job. I called around to different plumbers and did not get responses from some. When I called Fred he answered right away, listened to my situation, and showed the next day on time and gave me a quote. left a brochure of his company, the estimate of repair and also left me a detailed picture of what he was planning on doing to my water heater.     SERVICE OF EXCELLENCE. 5 Star Rating. Joseph was very knowledgeable and explained to me what services were needed after identifying the problem prior to the start of the job. The services took less than an hour. In addition, he went above and beyond the repair service call and hook up my pressure and temperature relief value as well. This is an excellent company.     I did an online request for an estimate Friday morning. They came out later that day and provided a fair and all inclusive estimate. I told them it sounds good and that I am off every other Monday or weekends and could probably take a day off during the week. Joey said they had a small job on Saturday and could do it in the afternoon if I was available. That was perfect. Fred explained everything that they would do and how it would be done. It takes some time to do it correctly which was exactly what they told me it would take. Fred said he would text me when they were heading over. I got the text about 0930 and they were on it. Amazing work by these two and a professional installation. If solved my low hot water pressure and the water is actually hot. I had forgotten how it was when I moved in 25 years ago. I know who I will call in the future and who I would recommend if anyone asks. Thank you Joey and Fred, very nice having you work on this and I appreciate you letting me watch. Like I said It was like watching synchronized swimming. Office staff was super professional is keeping in contact, getting the permits and scheduling the inspector.

    My water heater was not just leaking (dripping water) it was pouring out water! This is something no one want to have to face, but it is part of being a homeowner right? I did a couple quick calls and most of them require a fee to come out and if you use them, the fee is used towards the service. We all know that feeling….. before I was giving up, I tried the last google recommended ad/water heater service, it was A2Z Water Heaters. Fred picked up and told him my issue/problem. He did not charge me the fee to come out, he said he will come in half an hour and look at my water heater and let me know his opinion, fair enough. Arrived promptly after texting my address, he text back saying he will arrive in 30 mins which he did. Fred inspected the whole water heater system and thoroughly explained any issues my water heater was wrong with. It is a 11 year old water heater, FYI. Price was very reasonable and the service that he provided was above and beyond. Replacing piping, wires, adjusting and positioning the unit to state code was what I was impressed with. Most techs would replace the tank and once it fires up with no leak they are outta there! No!, not Fred, after I let him do his job, the new water heater was installed and looked way better than the original one, obviously it’s new right!? Fred also went to get permit and have the inspection to inspect his work and making sure everything is up to code! That was amazing, making it less for me to do! I was impressed with his work, great attitude, sense of humor and just have the positive energy talking to him. Next, his wife emails me about the permit and how I will receive it once they receive it. And provided me with a link to do a review. I always do reviews for services done great, because they deserve it. And of course, consumers like to know how each service provider quality and experience was before making a simple call, heck, I do that! If you are looking for great rates compared to others, fast and excellent service, call A2Z Water Heaters and ask for Fred! I want to also want to Thank Joey (hope I spelled it correctly) he was great. He had to listen to my wife and I being sarcastic and cracking jokes with Fred!     I got very lucky when I called A2Z Water Heaters and Fred showed up. What a high level of talent and expertise in such a friendly and pleasant package.     After calling, Fred Ford picked up and asked for details about our water heater which inexplicably stopped working a night before. It was an older, discontinued water heater which would take a few weeks to order the parts in to fix it. Thankfully, they had the parts on hand to fix it, so the following day, Fred Ford came to fix our heater. After 30 minutes to an hour, we had running hot water again. A professional at best who knows what they’re doing!

    My Christmas was saved with kind, competent, professional people. I woke up this morning to find that the water heater to the house was broken and it is weeks before Christmas. My husband called A2Z Water Heaters and Fred answered the phone. He was so kind and helpful on the phone. He tried to help my husband fix the problem but the heater needed a new part.     Absolutely outstanding service from our first phone call right down to the installation of our water heater. They first explained what our house needed due to the new regulations that have changed since our old water heater was installed and gave us a fair price for the work and new equipment. Fred stayed a little longer to finish the work he started to make sure all the details were taken care of and explain all the changes that he had made.     If you are searching the internet for water heater installation you just hit the jackpot with Fred Ford and A2Z Water Heaters!! His business takes care of everything starting with permits, installation, arranging code inspection and the list goes on. With my first inquiry Fred answered the phone himself and was at my home within a couple of hours to inspect my 21 year old dinosaur of a water heater still limping along but needing replacement. After the first meeting I had total confidence in that I picked the perfect contractor. Fred and his assistant Joey are both highly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful, courteous, comprehensive and informative, and hard workers. The 6 or 10 year warranties offered are reasonable and cheaper than warranties I have bought on major appliances from big box stores. They arrive totally equipped with everything needed for the job, bring their own trash cans and their cleanup leaves not a speck of debris or dust behind. Being in Elk Grove on metered water my new gas water heater delivers HOT water in 8 seconds from a quality Rheem water heater. Fred and Joey definitely earned my FIVE STAR rating!!

    It was time for us to replace our old water heater and we asked A2Z Water Heaters to do the job. When Fred came out to do the estimate, I was completely at ease and very comfortable with the proposed work to be done. (Im not the handy person type, but I am familiar with some of the requirements having worked in building inspections with the City of Sacramento many years ago.)In our case, Fred and A2Z exceeded my expectations. The work was done in a very timely fashion and no corners were cut in getting the job done. The city inspector had high praise for our contractors work as well.     Found out my water heater broke in the morning. I called around for a quote and A2Z is the most competitive with the service provided. He came on the same morning to swap out my water heater. Found out my old water heater was not installed up to safety code and he fixed all of that for me and added extra work to keep my water heater last longer.     My old water heater was nearing its timely demise and needed a replacement. Called Fred, he came out with Joey, performed an inspection, and on top of giving me a quote, identified the existing problems that would put me at risk of not passing the required code. He and Joey committed to fixing those issues, and Im happy to say they did a top notch professional job the very next day.They were at my house exactly when they said they would be, were very thorough explaining to me exactly what theyll be doing, and clearly communicated what to expect during the process.     Great service and quality work. Our old water heater broke over night and left a big leak in the hall. Fred and Joey were able to come and assess the damage on the same day and schedule us for the first available opening just a couple days away (it was the weekend and our situation was complicated and required a lot of work).They arrived early, were very polite, clear and professional. I enjoyed their company quite a bit. They installed the new heater and brought the whole arrangement up to code (after decades of neglect, truth be told). They even left the area in a cleaner state then when they arrived. Additionally, I had to call them back due to a concern over gas and they came back the same day and reassured us that its all well. Over all, very positive experience and highly recommend.

    I cannot say enough good things about Fred and Shelley! Freds attention to detail and absolute professionalism is second to none. Everything he does, he uses the same care as if he were doing the job for his own mother!My job was supposed to start in March 2020, but then...well...you know...COVID-19 hit. We had a little bit of a delay until the Stay at Home order was lifted and he was legally allowed to get back to work.     My water heater began leaking so it needed to be replaced. I contacted a large local plumbing company which came out and provided me what I felt was a high priced quote. I decided to get an additional quote to sanity check the first quote and I am very glad I did and Im very glad I found A2Z. I spoke with Fred at A2Z and he came out and looked at the situation and I presented him the specs from the other quote telling him I wanted an apples-to-apples quote. He not only quoted out all the same components and labor but also identified that for the purposes of building code and since my water heater was in my garage that I needed a post in front of the water heater to prevent it from being hit by a car So he actually exceeded the previous quote AND saved me hundreds of dollars!The next day they arrived as agreed and set about to install the new water heater. Everything proceeded as planned and by noon I had a new water heater and other components on a new metal stand with a post installed. I think the real testament to the quality of A2Zs work came the next day when the build inspector came in and looking at the installation immediately asked who did the work because of the quality of the workmanship.     My hot water failed on the holiday weekend. I called A2Z on Saturday afternoon when I discovered it had failed. I spoke with Fred who answered immediately and set up an appointment for Sunday at 9:00 am to get an estimate. Fred and Joey arrived right on schedule as promised and surveyed my situation. After going through a bit of a run around on my home warrantys vendor, Fred came out next day, provided me all the information I needed, gave me a fair estimate and scheduled work for the very next morning- which was a SATURDAY! In 2022, I had an issue with no hot water coming into my rental unit. Fred answered my call on the weekend and came out to troubleshoot the problem. Turned out there was a gas leak in the community and PG&E turned off the gas main. It was not a water heater problem. Fred did not charge me for his time. I told him that when time did come to replace my water heater, that he had my business. Well that time came 2 years later. On a holiday. I reached out to Fred and he answered (of course) and he was even on vacation at the time. He had Joey reach out to me within 30 minutes of getting off the phone with him to come out and see the problem. On a holiday. Same day he was able to verify the water heater was indeed in need of replacement. Gave me all the info I needed, sent me a quote electronically, and scheduled the replacement all in the same day. A2Z communicates all the way through the process, handles the permit requirement, schedules the follow up County required inspection and keeps the owner and tenant in the loop all the way through. The quality of the equipment and the installation is excellent. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Wish all service companies were this good.     I Cant say enough about AtoZ Water Heaters .The pilot light would not stay lit on my 19 year old water heater so I knew it was time for a new one.
