We wanted to have a security camera installed on the exterior of our house. We have used Doctor Electric a number of times in the past and they have always done a great job. They did a great job this time as well. Installed a new GFCI outlet in our garage, a security camera overlooking the driveway, and ran a cable between the two. We have had Tom perform most of the work at our house and he always does a great job!

I had an emergency situation where power was lost throughout a large section of the house. I had difficulty finding someone to respond, however Doctor Electric was able to respond within 4 hours to get Joe at my house and run through the diagnosis, resulting in getting RGE out to repair an external connection. Joe was meticulous and great to work with, explaining all the steps, processes and potential outcomes. I would definitely call on them the future.

This review may be lengthy but hopefully worth reading if you are considering this company for electrical work!We recently had an electrical meter box on one of the 50+ homes in our tract explode and cause a fire due to a short caused by an improperly installed electrical service line to that house. Apparently the incoming line lacked the in ground expansion loop that is required at time of service installation when the home is being built. Dr Electric provided the damaged home with a new service line (including the loop) as well as a new meter box and associated require accessories. They also noted the problem in a few other homes and as a service to the 50+ homeowners they provided each with a letter explaining that many additional homes in our neighborhood may also have the issue. As part of the letter, they offered a free inspection of each meter box, along with an assessment of each homes status and options to correct the problem.We decided to have them do such an assessment of our service line. We were given a very detailed / thorough explanation of our situation by Joe and Matt (owner) and decided to proceed with them and signed a contract proposal.On the day of the dig, even Matt the owner attended supervised and participated in the dig and the assessment / rectification of our incoming line problem. The dig reveled that we in fact did have the loop but was positionally installed improperly. He and crew rectified that condition and installed a new meter base, meter box, and expansion style incoming pipe. He also checked our grounding situation per code and found it met code. Initially thought we needed additional grounding, and reduced the price for that feature as well as for the ground loop which he did not have to splice. Obviously a very honest contractor. He even waited around for 2 hours after the completion of the job waiting for RG&E to show to turn on the power again (RG&E misplaced the order to start service again). They not only do quality work but obviously have integrity and honesty incorporated into their approach to business! Very satisfied with Matt and DR Electic! Thank you guys!

The technicians from Doctor Electric did an exceptional job of replacing the fuse box and upgrading the lighting to my den and pantry area. Both associates came being polite and professional. The work was done in a timely fashion. Though it was a bit pricey I was assured that the work done was covered by warranties from them as well as the manufacturers. Overall Im pleased with the job and plan using them for future task.

Excellent service! We were in a desperate situation when we lost power because of an outlet that caught fire. Fortunately Matt from Doctor Electric was in the area and was over within the hour. He was very professional, clean and thorough. He replaced two outlets and repaired the wiring that was burned badly. I was a bit concerned at what the cost was going to be and I was shocked (no pun intended) at how reasonable it was! I even questioned it to be sure it was fair! It’s great to have a service provider that does excellent work and can be trusted at a reasonable rate. I will use Doctor Electric in the future and most certainly will refer them to friends and family. Thank you Doctor Electric!

Good first experience with Dr Electric. Several neighbors had recommended them. $54 service charge includes safety inspection, and any work you agree to will be additional. The technician was courteous, friendly and competent. My only complaint was the the pricing was a little high for something I could have done myself, but it saved me the time and the work is guaranteed (unlike my work). :)

We recently moved into an old-ish house that had some electrical issues.On a first visit, Joe uncovered a bunch of code violations, dangerous wiring where the power comes into the house, and our meter was practically falling apart. Doctor Electric worked with RG&E to find a good time to shut off the power for some repairs. They came back the next week and fixed the dangerous wiring, installed a ground wire, and repaired our meter outside. When RG&E sent an inspector to come and sign off on the work, they had nothing but high praise for the work there + Doctor Electric in general.We ended up having some other smaller issues, like an outlet not working properly in our garage and called again. They came by right on time and were able to fix the issue within a couple of hours (installed 2 GFI + 1 normal outlet in the garage).I will say that the price is a bit high, but I dont mind paying it when I know that things are getting done correctly.

We needed someone to dig and expose underground service wires at the utility pole. Replace wiring from approximately 10 from pole and install grounding wire at the pole. We also had work done to our outside electrical box. Work was completed with great expertise. The person that answered our first call was so kind and help full. She and Matt (the electrician) who called us answered our questions and developed a work plan to fix our problem.

Had load issues. Almost everything that uses electricity in the house was affected. Lights dim fans slow etc...... Conrad did what he could to reduce some of the load on a few circuits. Replaced a circuit that could have caused a major issue. He suggested that I have RGE come out and take a look. And he was RIGHT. Neutral from pole to house was getting chewed on by squirrels. They replaced and all is good. Thank you Conrad for all you did. Above and beyond.

We recently purchased a house and called Doctor Electric to do a safety inspection and get a quote for a few minor updates. Matt did a very thorough inspection, including finding a rusting, uncovered exterior outlet that myself and the inspector we hired before purchasing missed. He was incredibly courteous and professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain his safety recommendations thoroughly without trying to oversell me. The prices he quoted were very reasonable and he completed the requested work quickly. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I feel confident in the work that he did. Well definitely be using them for any electrical work we need going forward.

Got 4 estimates. 2 actually followed thru with quotes. One quote was detailess via one line text. Tom walked me through every step needed. Quote was competitive and presentation way more professional. The truck also has almost everything they could need including extra wire which was needed as my usual mission creep required an extra couple hundred feet. Dr Electric is worth a premium rate and I dont think my $1k job would have been done a lot cheaper. Knowing they are bonded and insured is also a bonus.
