Contacted Andrew to replace landscape lights in front of my home. Promptly got back to me and stopped over to take a look at the job. Provided a very reasonable proposal and completed the job in a very timely manner. Very happy with his work and communication. Tough finding people these days to not only respond promptly but actually follow up thoroughly and do great work.

We have used Canal Town Electric for several jobs now. They repaired electrical code violations in our basement, relocated an outlet, moved a smoke detector, installed a whole home surge protector in our main panel, and installed exterior weather-safe outlets. Most recently, they installed an antique crystal chandelier that we recently had restored at Historic Houseparts. The crew was very professional and did a very careful job installing the heavy and fragile chandelier. Ill continue to use these guys and recommend them. Their workmanship and attention to detail is top rate.

EDIT: Once again, Eric and his team absolutely crushed it when I had an urgent need for electrician services at my house. I was having some trouble with landscape lighting and had some concerns about the weathering and age of an old outdoor outlet, and within literally 1 business day, Eric was able to send one of his electricians to come look at it. The investigation, repairs, and upgrade completed were nothing short of stellar work (including the look - it looks amazing!) and I couldnt be happier -- truly theres no other electrician in Rochester Id ever want to call -- the responsiveness, friendliness, care given, and quality of work is unmatched and Im so glad I can keep Canal Town Electric in mind for any future electrical needsORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:I just had an unbelievably amazing experience with Eric (the owner) and Dean from Canal Town Electric today! I was looking to replace a light switch with a dimmer switch, install 4 new recessed/disc ceiling lights and to remove a ceiling light completely, and their work works and looks phenomenal! Eric and Dean were amazing throughout the entire process from the initial phone calls to the arrival to the extreme professionalism and high quality of their work, and my office has never looked better! The ceiling lights are perfectly placed, the dimmer works magically, and the light is exactly what I was hoping for!Absolutely will be calling them again, cant imagine a better team of electricians in all of Rochester!

I highly recommend the team over at Canal Town- they do fantastic work at a fair price!We were in the market to upgrade our electrical panel- Canal Town was recommended to us by a friend. The new owner stopped by a few days after my initial contact, took a gander at our current set up (around a 100 amp system) and provided a few quotes and options for our 200 amp upgrade.The team came out a few weeks later during the day and we have a beautiful new set up with lots more space if we need it! Very professional!

Eric and the rest of his team were extremely responsive, informative and helpful with any suggestions during our install of laundry outlets/connections in our new home. They were able to wire lights in the laundry area to be responsive to one central switch, extremely helpful and something we couldnt have done ourselves. They also helped us fixing a few faulty outlets throughout our home, and we love the new USB/power outlet they installed on our kitchen island! If you need an electrician, look no further. We recently just remodeled our entire house and they were by the far the easiest and best contractors we worked with. They were easy to schedule with, always showed up when they said they would, and came back many many times in order to finish the job. We ended up adding on many things, which they did with no problems. Very professional and friendly. We even had an issue with our tv wire and they came back after the job was done to fix it and refunded us the money for it. Can’t say enough good things!

Great experience with Canal Town Election, which was recommended by our handyman. Were able to come earlier than scheduled due to a cancelation, and managed to figure out a problem that had eluded a previous electrician, and fix it.
