My old hot water heater that is in my garage, decided it was time to retire. I knew it was going to happen. So, before it retired, I did some research for a new hot water heater. And I learned about the tankless water heaters and decided that a tankless is what I wanted.Jolly Rooter was recommended by a good family friend of ours. So, I called Jolly Rooter and spoke with the owner himself, Rich Jolly. He came out and recommended that if we are going to go with a tankless water heater then he suggested we get the Navien 240A2 Tankless hot water heater. The estimate he gave us was higher than what we estimated. So, he told us to go ahead and get other estimates and compare. So, we did and got one more estimate from another company selling us the same Navien 240A2 however, they were about $1,000 more. So, needless to say, we called Jolly Rooter back.Upon arrival, they had everything they needed to remove my old water heater and install the new tankless water heater. It was definitely a whole day job. They seemed to know what they were doing and explained everything to me, had some laughs, and wouldn’t you know it, the job was done.Now, with tankless water heaters, and he explained this to me, you will not get “instant hot water”. You will still have to wait for the hot water to run through your pipes to the point of use in the house. However, the main selling point of the tankless water heaters, is that you now get ENDLESS hot water without the worry of running out of hot water while you’re taking your 4hr long shower. Which is awesome. Now, mind you, now that you have endless hot water, you still have to mind your water usage or before you know it, your water bill comes in the mail and it’s $500. All in all, I am very happy with Jolly Rooter and the service they provided me when it was time to say farewell to old faithful and hello to endless hot water. And since he did such an amazing job, I will be calling him to do more plumbing. Good service makes customers for life.

Jolly rooter did a water heater replacement for me at a rental property in Reno. It was a nightmare of a location to get the old one out from. They coordinated with the tenant, were very reasonably priced, and I didn’t have to do a thing besides call them and order! Very easy to do business with and very clean work. Highly recommend!

Okay, I do not take the time to write reviews unless I am absolutely pissed off by the company, so take my review about Jolly Rooter and Rich to heart. What an amazing, honest, fantastic, honest, caring, and honest plumber!! He came over to my mothers house and fixed her kitchen sink AND her bathroom tub. She thought she was going to have snake her entire drain and Rich said, let me clean it out first and go from there. Well, he was right! He unclogged it, treated her drain with a prevention treatment and saved my mother a lot of money! Weeks later her kitchen sink and bathtub drain are still working marvelously! Words cannot express how amazing this company is - throw away your old plumbers number and call Jolly Rooter; you will NOT be sorry!! Thank you Rich!!

Jolly Rooter is our go-to plumber. We have had an issue with noisy plumbing and water pressure for a few years. Rich and Matthew did great work, diagnosed and actually solved the problem. We needed a new Pressure Release Valve - the one installed with the home was cheap and way too small - you can see the picture attached, the one on the bottom was the original & the one on top was the piece installed by Jolly Rooter (huge quality/size difference)! This is a huge relief and we can’t recommend them enough. They truly care about their work and fixing the issues. Thank you!!

We had a sudden leak happen in our master shower drain that is on our second floor, over our entry way. Rich and his team came out, looked it over, gave us a quote and were so knowledgeable, that when they went to fix it, got it fixed in half the time they quoted!I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

I appreciate that they answered my questions and I communicated with them quickly and they were able to fit me in on the same day. Rich is absolutely amazing! He is a very professional and honest business owner and is very knowledgeable for all your plumbing needs. I bought my home 2 years ago and needed a repair on my shower and my realtor highly recommended Rich. He came in the late evening and fixed my shower so I had a hot shower. He was very kind and on time and did a complete job making sure before he left that his work was completed and everything was nice and clean. This last week my hot water heater went out, garbage disposal quit working and my kitchen sink stopped up and would not drain. I immediately called him and he returned my phone call immediately and let me know he would come and get everything repaired and yesterday him and Ryan his awesome employee showed up on time and fixed my kitchen sink drain, installed a brand new garbage disposal and will be coming back today on a Saturday to install my brand new hot water heater. Everything complete and done so I do not have to worry which Im extremely grateful for because in 18 days I go in for my 7th surgery and last surgery for my Breast cancer reconstruction and now I will be able get ready and to recover with no worries. Just took my first hot bath in months that didn’t require vigilant watching of the water temperature that keeps going from hot to ice cold… hallelujah!We’ve had hot water heater issues for months and after trying everything (including hiring another plumber) to get the hot water heater fixed, we reached out to Rich. He responded right away, showed up on time, gave us a reasonable estimate, and got a new, way better hot water heater installed the next day. Great communication and wonderful service overall. Our water heater failed last Sunday morning, and when we put in a request for service on Yelp, Rich Jolly replied within 10 minutes, even though Jolly Rooter is closed on Sundays. He offered us several appointment times to come assess the issue, and was at our door an hour later at the chosen time - even though he wasn’t working that day and hadn’t actually intended to offer us a Sunday time slot, he honored it, which showed a ton of integrity. He got his lead technician, Chad, on the phone with us on the spot once he determined that the heater would need to be replaced along with some of the connecting plumbing that had not been professionally installed and wasn’t up to code - again, on Sunday - and got him scheduled to come do the installation at 8am the next day. Chad was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. He got the new heater installed and up to code, fixed a couple other minor plumbing issues while he was there (a clogged sink, a stuck shower head adapter), and even after that came in under what we were quoted. We now feel confident our heater is installed correctly and will last us decades. Highly recommend these guys!

I had clogged my garbage disposal by putting flower stems in it. When it clogged up today, I found Jolly Rooter with its great reviews. Rich Jolly responded by email in 2 minutes, giving me his phone number, a price quote range, and his availability this very afternoon! Within 10 minutes I had called him and he was out to my house within the hour as he promised. He unclogged my disposal but also explained to me step by step the work he was doing. The work involved more as I also had poorly connected pipes and leakage. He had the necessary parts with him and was able to complete the whole job to perfection in a timely manner. He gave me a complimentary service of cleaning my drains with a super-cleaner. I am very satisfied with his professionalism and I have already recommended Rich of Jolly Rooter to two of my friends. An absolute pleasure to work with. We came home from a vacation to find our water heater leaking. The water heater was not installed with a pan under it (which we found out is against code), so it was leaking onto a sheetrock platform which was getting mushy from all the water. I found Jolly Rooter here on Yelp, and called to get a quote since I was worried the water heater would fall through the platform. Rich was able to come out that day, remove the water heater, and install a new one the next day (now with a pan). He was professional, friendly, happy to answer any questions I had, and now I have a better quality water heater than I had before. I will absolutely be using Jolly Rooter for any plumbing needs in the future. If you have any plumbing needs, you should give him a call.

After trying 3 other plumbing companies without success (one had no idea what they were talking about, one couldnt schedule for several weeks, and one was a no-show), we found Jolly Rooter. What a stroke of luck that was for us! Rich responded to our request right away, and completed two jobs (replacing the pressure-reducing valve and water heater) within days. He and his co-worker were professional, courteous, and--most importantly--extremely knowledgeable. When they ran into our house-specific obstacles (because lets fact it, every place is different), they kept us informed and provided different avenues for us to choose from. Oh my where to begin, a few days ago my water heater decided that it would like to permanently stop working and bust. I didnt know what to do because I am not trained in plumbing I leave that to the professionals like the owner of Jolly Rooter. He came out to my house immediately and before I could even realize it he had a new one installed for me and Im now enjoying hot showers again. LolI contacted many different plumbing companies and this one was the only one that did not want to price gouge me. The price was very responsible for the amount of work that he did. When I put out a request for service, Rich was the first to respond. We made an appointment & he kept communicating with me to reassure me that he was able to make it at the time we scheduled. He was professional, prompt and personable. I had several leak issues with my kitchen sink and he fixed the one Id already identified & found the 2nd leak (broken disposal) and replaced it right then. Price was resonable & he was friendly & clear about what he had to fix. As a female, I especially appreciated that he was not the typical condescending male plumber. Thanks Rich! Honestly, theyre HONEST! They came to my salon even though they dont usually do commercial work. Assessed our toilet situation and worked on our shampoo bowls. The bowls were something they havent done before and at first it didnt work. But The owner came back as soon as I contacted him. At 8pm he got the right parts, refunded me in full and rebuilt the bowls correctly. Im a business owner, and these guys know how to do business, plus our shampoo bowls have never been better. Well be using them when our new toilet comes in.

Called for a semi-emergency with our sewer pipe... toliets werent draining and the tub was backing up (gross)! The owner, Rich, answered and said they had a little time to swing by and assess the problem. Rich and his apprentice Adam came within an hour. They quickly assessed the issue and went straight to work to fix it! From the time I called to job completion was approx 2 hours!!!! They absolutely went above and beyond for me and I am beyond thankful. Both Adam and Rich were kind, respectful, and walked me through everything they were doing. Jolly Rooter is an outstanding operation. The owner, Rich Jolly, is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has helped me out on several occasions and his work is high quality. His attention to detail is outstanding and his customer service skills are top-notch.Jolly Rooter has handled a number of different plumbing needs for me and has relieved a lot of the headache that comes with plumbing issues. The response time shown by Rich and the Jolly Rooter staff is immediate and they schedule you right away.Jolly Rooter is licensed and bonded, and follows all code. You do not have to worry about the work being done correctly, like you do with some of the other operations in town.This business is up and coming. I highly recommend Jolly Rooter to anyone in the greater Northern Nevada area. Hoping I dont have another plumbing need anytime soon, but if I do, Im definitely calling Jolly Rooter.

I had some weird stuff happening with my kitchen faucet that I couldnt figure out on my own. I called Jolly Rooter to see what they could do. They scheduled me a couple days out, then called me a few hours later to say theyd had an opening and could come out that day if I was available. They came out, told me what was wrong (I needed a new faucet) and said theyd come out when originally scheduled to install a new faucet if I went out and chose one.Owner Rich Jolly and his apprentice Adam arrived early to do the job. They were friendly and professional and went way beyond the call of duty to make sure the equipment was installed the right way. My kitchen counter had an extra hole that they offered to install a soap dispenser into for free. It didnt end up working out due to a structural issue under the sink, but I really appreciated the attention to detail and their commitment to doing the job correctly and completely. They plugged the hole to make it look as good as possible.A great experience overall and Ill be calling them back to do some work in my bathroom before too long.
